Its not that I have a 'noGS' policy buddy its just Im not that all that into over the top mutation, the skull on this will be painted in Gold/brass tones I think. The reaper on top isnt a bad idea though. If I ran this as a Decimator thats obviously going to be run as a Butcher Cannon. I thnk Im gonna avoid a CCW for this one, I do have some ideas for another one though so may make that the melee specialist.

Possible mount for a Defiler battle cannon.

Ok, two more ideas (just tell me when to shut up )

1) What about the BC where the mouth should be? Kinda like the soul grinder maw cannon...

2) What about a las cannon and ac on each arm instead of las on one side and ac on the other? I think the silhouette would look better

Rawson, I quite like the idea of the mismatched turrets. Not so sure about the maw cannon although that could look suitably like the old EPIC Banelord.

At the suggestion of Circus Nurgling on B&C I knocked up a flamer proxy. Thoughts?

Hmm. I think the arms are a little bit small. Perhaps if the weapons were attached to actual arms rather than under-shoulder turrets it might work better.

I'm not sure, ill have a play around with a couple of arm options and see if I like any of them.

Here's a couple of minor Dark Vengeance conversions for a small Black Legion I'm going to working on.

The Chosen look superb. I particularly like the one with the Lightning Claws.

Blade Brothers

I decided today to have a proper look through my bits boxes and see what else I can piece together. I managed to build 7 new running Zerkers. I added a couple of bits to one of my existing Skull Champs and now have another 8 man Zerk squad. They still need a lot of work ie purity seals removed, khorne icons added and lots of clean up. The helmets will all be swapped for faceswaps soon, Ive also still to order the Khorne shoulder pads for them but I like how they look so far.

I like how you are taking the time to add to every mini. This makes me very happy! I will definitely keep up on this!

New Bezerkers look good! I particularly like the second left one. He looks really dynamic.

No pics today but Im currently looking to see what I have to knock up a couple of Hades auto cannons like on the new Forgefiend for the Blood Stalker.
Once my magnets arrive I will magnetise the maw cannon too. Hopefully if my local games club allows Ill be able to use this guy as a Defiler,Decimator or Forgefiend. If not I dont really care as Im having a great time building it

E40KG, Thanks buddy, The Imperial dudes can always benefit from a little customization, I tend to spend a lot of time thinking of cool poses at the initial build stage its amazing the difference a slight repositioning of a limb can make.

Its been a busy ol week so this is a very minor update. Got a base sorted for the Blood Stalker and detailed the back vents. The trophies and skulls on top are just there to try and give me ideas how to decorate this beastie, I also need to make it more Khornate.

Forgot to add this, I made a little objective marker. As close to a shrine as the Worldeaters are going to get imho.

That Bloodstalker is simply a fantastic model, buddy! If it was released as a kit, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! It's even cooler than a "real" Decimator, since it's all plastic and one of a kind!

Great job on the base and objectives too!

I made an account to say that I really like the Bloodstalker. If you don't mind, I might have to make a knock off of it for my Alpha Legion.

The grille at the front of the SR torso is from the centre of the Land Raider powerplant, the pistons on the hips are from the back of defiler legs, the cables at the same point are from the Lascannons that were used to build the legs.

In some of these pictures, there are hose or cable like bits between the body and the head running along the neck. Where did you find these? in what kit?

Those bits are from the Defiler kit, from the CCW.

I've been sub to this thread for a while figured it was about time I said something. Love your work Bio, especially the Bloodstalker. I think perhaps larger shoulders on the Gorehound but either way it is a very impressive conversion and will look amazing when its complete.

And speaking of that, your conversions on the chosen for DV are absolutely wonderful, making me want to start a Chaos army myself

Got home early from work today and intended on working on a few models to get them ready for my game on sunday.


Instead I built this.

None of this is glued or cut to fit, I literally picked up a Land Raider base and a Defiler torso and started sticking stuff together with blu tack. I seem to suffer from an affliction that prevents me from working on stuff I need to work on and start doing stoopid stuff

Thanks buddy, I didn't actually have a clue what I was building lol. I've had a suggestion on another forum that it looks a little like an A-wing. I may actually run with this idea and start working it towards that sort of style.

Where did you get the Stonehorn head from? I've been trying to find it on bits sites to no avail.

I got the Stonehorn head from Hoard o Bits on ebay mate. Back when the kit first came out.

As mentioned before I have a game coming up so needed to get my second squad of Zerkers fully built. These guys are all made from bits and some scrappy ebay mini's which have been lying in my bitzbox to salvage Khorne runes and headdresses from. Preferrably Id rather just buy some new bits when I have the cash but time and more importanltly money dictate that these guys do for now. I just need to order more Khorne shoulder pads.
These need a lot of cleanup and gap filling still, also Im not 100% sold on a couple of the poses so there may be tweaks further down the line but they are built and good to game so Im happy for now.

First up is a final build for the 1st squads champ. Ideas for him have been knocking around this thread for a while but my ADD always meant Id moved onto something else before locking down a final design. The Khorne symbol at his waist has obviously moved while the glue was drying so Ill need to fix that and get him cleaned up before paint.

Thanks guys, the Zerkers look a lot better now they have been primed. Im thinking once they're painted they will look pretty good.

At the club today I managed a draw in my first ever game and also picked up a couple of bits so knocked up a Turbo Laser for the Gorehound. Im quite happy with how its come out so far (apart from the shoulder joint, that needs a lot more work) Looking at it now though Im really not sor sure about the chain blade weapon. I may change that out for another shooty option.
