Got a few bits for the csm fans.

Helbrute is the only DV model getting a release soon. But don't expect it in 2012. All codex options are there, and the model looks fantastic, it should not be too...long of wait though.

One of the staffers has csm plague zombies on his/her desk. All conversions. Hard to tell from the new photography, these are really great conversions, so when they show up, no one get excited.

Thousand Sons will get the first plastic kit when they come out. But that doesn't mean others won't be out at the same time. I know that's cryptic, and it's on purpose.

There was a csm plastic revamp that was underway. I cannot get a response on if it is still coming or not, normally if something is scrapped people are straight forward. This much obfuscation tells me something is happening.

There is a bit of chaos scenery coming. It should please world eaters.

Any word what so ever on a pack of cultists?

I look forward to the Hellfortress, Hellbastion and the Doomskull Anti-Air Battery. I hear the first 500 packs of that last one comes with a Limited Edition He-Man figure.

Willing to bet those thousand sons will be £20 for 5, not a tempting price at all even if I did have love for them......

Hopefully plastic Noise Marines are coming soon. My wallet still has nightmares of the thought of playing a legit Noise Marine army.

I think he was meaning that "others" will be with the Tsons, so maybe...

and for the record I will EAT up some 5man Tsons boxes, provided that all the parts look amazing

It'd be nice if the T-Sons box had 9 models in it rather than 4 T-Sons and a Sorc.

I wouldn't jump to such a conclusion just yet. I think Chaos will get them, it will just require time us waiting more. Hopefully not a year. Or 5 years for the next iteration of 40k and our codex...

Considering they're in the DV set, I highly doubt we'll see any sets for Chosen & Cultists anytime in the near future... (need to sell those DV sets don't they?!!)

The Hellbrute would likely be the only possibility from the set to make it into it's own plastic kit since IIRC, the fugly old metal pile of crap is discontinued, and there is only 1 option for it's equipment.

A buddy of mine who works for GW said he 'thought" that the cultists and hellbrute would be held back from a kit like the def kopters were.

Of course he is only speculating.

Too bad there are not upgrade options out for the DV set. I plan on running 2 Hell Brutes, one kitted for range, one for CC though I wont have the bits to make them accurate.

I just play friendly games with buds so wysiwyg is not a worry. Still the perfectionist in me would like two power fists and a heavy flamer.

I am just getting into fielding my first chaos army and planned on using 2 DV sets as my base, with Abby to make my Chosen troops. Then using the Termy's as a recently turned traitor unit.

Abby, 2 chosen as troops, 20-30 cultists, 5-8 Termies and 2 Hell Brutes. Throw in a couple rhinos perhaps a DP or a Sorceror and Blammo.

I can fine tune as the months and newer releases come out. Really hoping for some plastic 1k Sons.

Seems the most economical for me right now.

It's a shame about the cultists not being released out of all the things it could have been, the dark vengeance stuff already has repeats once in the box, nevermind once you start stacking them.

I guess the best option is to check the necromunda and fantasy ranges, oh and maybe some of those FW traitors could work.

Cultists are easy enough to convert by head and arm swaps, and they have models for all the weapon options. The chosen are much harder to convert and lack many of their weapon options.

it would be nice to see havoc get a multipart kit and or release more multipart kits instead this finecast stopgap. its really annoying to know that if i really want the havoc ML model that i have to buy 10s of boxes of the havoc finecast kit or go through ebay buy parted out MLs havoc models.

Sounds fine... I look forward to seeing them.

Definitely looking forward to a re-release of the standard models, since now my old models will look horrendously out of place with the new ones...
