Hard to see the quality of the paint job, but it looks pretty good, and the actual colour scheme is the best I have seen, bar none.

I love the detail on your helldrake. Better quality pictures would allow us to be better judges of your model. But I do like the paint scheme.

I have the same problem as you and was.told a lot of the issue was not using a light box.

Looks great! Best idea for the Helldrake I've seen so far! Like to see this with an ice effect instead of magma/fire too. Bet that would look bad-ass!

Paint jobs like yours are why the heldrake was designed the way it was. People keep clowning on the sculpt until something like yours comes along and really shows the potential of the mini. Yours proves it's a killer mini, with a paint job like that it's undeniable, great work.

I like the concept. I've seen helldrakes with a bit better-executed painting, but this is the first one I've seen where I haven't cringed. Your eye for color has made this model look like something I'd be proud to field, which says a lot, given that I couldn't say that about the 'eavy metal job...

Personally I'm not hot on the scheme, but I'm a nurgle player and like dark colour shcemes so w/e tell me to stfu

However saying that, its a very well painted model so kudos to you my friend

Yes, a light box would definitely help. Just try sticking up white paper or card for now and fiddle around with natural light or lamps. Fantastic painting BTW

I like that burning magma look. By the way I am fairly sure it was unintentional, but the pic with the cable box displaying the time in the background; it looks like the model is actually glowing and that is kind of awesome!
