Recently bought an airbrush and have been painting with it non-stop for a while seeing what effects I can get, nothing too snazzy yet but here's some of my efforts

Looks great so far! You seem to have gotten a good grasp of how to use an airbrush rather quickly.

What brand of grass tufts did you use on the Khorne model?

Wow! Nice work! Everything is smooth and painted very to a great standard.

I could never live without my airbrush, it really saves time and helps do transitions that would take hours to do by hand.

Not too snazzy?

Looks pretty damned snazzy to me. Great work!

Did you do every thing with the AB or are there highlights etc with a conventional brush?

Sometimes I'm not a big fan of some of the airbrush work I've seen...but your efforts look great. The Khorne rider is just killer looking. I'd be quite happy thus far if they were mine.

Thanks for the kind words guys in answer to questions
- Army Painter Highland tufts on the Khorne lords base
- the blends and basecoats were airburshed all the rest is conventional (so the red on the khorne lord, the cloaks on the two fantasy dudes, the blue armour on the infinity mans)
@ Demigod I'm trying to find the time to do a "funzy" (ie not tourney focused) conversion-heavy khorne army for that guy to help lead

and here's the beginnings of my tau army, two test pieces (yes the riptide was a test piece )

Very awesome, the best way to rock that technique is have the piece use some airbrush and some other techniques, so the model doesn't scream, "I've been airbrushed only!" so I think you've done amazing work on these figs. Those bases are wicked too!

Really really nice work. Airbrushing isn't easy (even before you start considering light and colour theory), I've recently taken it up myself and am still only tentatively using it for basing and zenithal coats. Your stuff looks great, ill need to start pushing myself a bit more.

Coincidently, I've just ordered (about 30 minutes ago) that enigma wizard. Like what you've done with it here.

Keep posting pics.

some chaos warriors I painted up for DnD, went for the subtle airbrushed aproach (skin/cloaks) and it saves ludicrous (not the rapper) amounts of time

Quality painting right there. Even with the heroic highlights.

I know from experience you get highlight greedy when using the airbrush

Gorgeous color scheme! I love the subtle gradient of your airbrush technique complemented by your brushwork!

Are you using any particular thinner? I am thinking about trying airbrushing but am a little timid about the consistency of the paint...
