Thanks amigo!
I think I'm going the dark comic route. My childhood was shapes by Adams, Bolland and Lee's Knight in the comics so he's now got a dark blue glaze on the cape. We'll work from there!

All very nicely done. And darn quickly too. Of course, we want a Batrep using this terrain.

You guys are the best. Thanks for all your kind words and votes, it totally encourages me to keep bringing my A game.

As for batreps - not likely to happen soon as this afternoon we brought home our baby girl, Clara so thrilled. Mrs G gets a daughter, the boys get Batgirl/Hermione, I get to complete the child-set. Good all round!

But late nights can be productive:

Using the wet blend "push" method. Liking where it's going. Considering using a red wash for the cape shadows, thoughts?

There will be occasional updates, promise!

Congratulations!

Bats is looking good, love the tones on that cape! Not sure red would do much for the shading, I'd stick to black myself.

Wow, batman looks great! I love how the cape is that dark, comic book "black" that is also somehow purple. Very evocative.

Congratulations my friend! So happy for you. Can't be too many gravenspawn in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Batman is the stuff. Your new effort and techniques are really paying off in a big way.

You need to add more highlighting on the codpiece...
Not really, just wanted to say that about a non-historical model.
I can't give any criticism, Graven. I wish that I could; I know how much it helps. For some reason, your pictures make me want to say, "Bloody Brilliant!" or something.

Only thing I'd point out is that he's a little shiny, I'd definitely hit him with a matt varnish once he's done (if that wasn't the plan already). Other than that, excellent stuff.

I'm not sure how I glossed over the fact that you've had a new baby girl, but sorry that I did and congratulations on the occasion!

As for batman, maybe a highlight to the center panel on his utility belt? I can't think of anything else to do that would make him seem complete and not take away from the already brilliant paint job.

Yeah, he'll get that. Anyway...

Did my skips. Spent ages looking at skips in the street. They're totally knackered so tried to reflect that

And now, my lovelies, what should I do next?! Your choice. It can be our own little Gotham Caucus :

Penguin thugs and Titan?
Killer Croc?
Solomon Grundy (born on a Monday)
Or bat family: one or more of Batwoman, Robin or Arkham Knight Batman?
Ah, democracy!

Skips look great! This being Gotham, though, at least one needs a dead body stashed inside!

My vote goes to finishing up the Penguin stuff, always good to get a complete set.
