@GuitaRasmus I know you said you made the teeth on the nurgle stuff with Fimo clay but what kind did you use to get those real looking teeth? and did you do anything special to them after you baked them?

Wraithlord looks amazing, although I would have thought it would make sense to paint him in Warp Spider colours. The colours still look awesome though!

You need to do some more Aspect Warrior Wraithlords! Perhaps a Dark Reaper Lord next?

Its models like these that make me happy to see that Nurgle units got a boost in 6th. Hopefully the new C:CSM is boss enough to make these models as awesome as they look.

GuitaRasmus,

Your models scare me.
Your painting scares me.
Your talent scares me.
Your creativity really scares me.

Overall, sir, you are one of the scariest people whom I have had the dubious pleasure of admiring for their work. If you could possibly be any scarier than you were right at this moment, and somehow managed to surpass yourself in any of the ways I have listed, than I shall be forced to remove myself from this plane of existence voluntarily. If I did not, I have no doubts that I would enter a state of cardiac arrest, and my death by your hands would only be furthering your terrifying conquest of our mortal souls. You, sir, now hold the power of life and death in your hands. Truly, the gods of Chaos would be proud.

Thanks a lot for all the kind comments.

Well, it looks like the Death Guard are being bolstered by new guys - I have to projects in the works, a greater daemon, and a wacky concept - death guard wasps (raptors)

Both concepts are still very rough, but you can see where I'm going.

Greater Daemon (I know it doesn't have wings, but they were too cool to not use) - I wanted to get away from the bloated great unclean one, since it doesn't really match anything in my army, conceptwise.

Lots of greenstuffing to be done.

A wasp prototype:

The underbody is an ancient tyranid warrior body, and all the legs will be similar to the backmost hind legs - I intend to make a mold and cast the body and legs in resin.

As usual, any and all comments are appreciated.

Are you talking about the defiler teeth? They're just regular off the shelf fimo clay, from a crafts store.

The wasps need to be bullked up a bit in general but mainly on the wings a bit imo, they just look so feeble even for Insects

Thanks a lot guys.

Bigfish; I don't know, I really kinda like the wings being shrivelled and useless - they're only really appendixes to the jump pack.

Bumble Bee's have wings that are super feeble and they an move super quick, same with a wasp or hornet. I think they fit quite well.

Honestly your work never fails to impress me

I can't begin to tell you how amazing those last two builds are. The fantastic demon is only trumped by that amazing wasp marine. Everything about him looks just right... the slight curvature of the body to the left, the subtle skewing of the legs... really astounding work. I like the proper superlatives to put it into perspective.

You have some ridiculously good conversions going on here, just those last two are fantastic. And they aren't even finished!
The Wasp Marine idea is brilliant, have you seen it elsewhere? Or is it an original idea?

Thanks a lot, you're all too kind.

Biohazard: Though I'm pretty confident in my modelling skills, my painting is about average in my gaming community, so I doubt my painting will win any prizes - I will enter in armies on parade, though. I've gotten an official go for my display board from GW (I wrote them, since the terrain will be bigger than the board)

To the best of my knowledge, I've never seen it elsewhere. I always try to give proper credits when I use someones idea, and the wasps were an idea that formed in my head about 6 months ago - I love jump packs, but I wanted to implement them into the death guard in a more exciting way than "rotten assault marines" - hence the idea for wasp/fly lower bodys.

I was going to do the silicone mold tonight, but unfortunately my silicone has dried in the can (must be a bad batch - only two months old? Anyway, I'll buy some more tomorrow, and then I'll start casting legs, wings and lower bodys - mwahahaha, the wasps are coming!

Not content with making me wish my CSM army was better you have now started on the Eldar! haha. The best blog on dakka and anywhere else for that matter. I think you are being modest about the painting your models all look class in my opinion. The kit bashing is always unique but you have the ability to make it seem like they belong to the same kit and I think damn why didn't I think of that!!!! Top work.

OH. MY. GOD!

This is simply fantastic, GuitaRasmus! I don't really see how you could actually *not* win any prizes with this army. Your models are amazing!

My favourites are the Daemon Prince and second Dread. Extra kudos for maybe being the first person ever to get the Horror heads to look really disturbing instead of just goofy. Oh, and it was a great choice to convert your own Obliterators instead of using premade models. Glorious!

Regarding the name for the second Dread, here's a couple of suggestions off the top of my head:

Anthrax
Sputus
Bubonicus
Putrificus
Violatus
Pandemius
Prolaps
Mycidus
Ulkus
Ignavus

...and a couple of epithets:

The Deathless
The Corrupted
The Festering
The Blighted
The Decaying

Again, what a fantastic thread

Thanks for the kind words.

Oh, and I picked up something today at GW. Since I'm pretty sure Chaos is going to get a flyer, I'm starting a project that I've been wanting to do for a long time, but couldn't see what it should count as - now I know.

It's quite rough, but you can see where I'm going - a nurgle giant fly:

Lots of stuff to be added. I'm really excited about this.
