It'd be nice if we got some of the other pics from the battle report and the product splash pages. There's probably pictures of them linked to the end of a WoM.

Has GW released non-plastic terrain in the last 10-15 years?

They made some resin urban rubble barricades for Imperial and Orks back when Cities of Death was released I believe.

Or you could go the 'FW is GW' route that people like to do for talking about using Forge World rules in regular 40k games... that'd be a bit more snarky than sincere though.

Aha, forgot about the ork barricades. Those things are wicked cool.

Those prices sure make FW more attractive. I already have my one baneblade, was considering the stormlord, or whichever variant it was with the vulcan mega-bolter and transport capacity, but if it's going to cost me $160 ($190 if my store didn't match US prices), I'll just go with a Macharius variant, or a Valdor Tank Hunter.

The rulebook and SM characters are also impressively expensive. Actually makes me want to grab the old master of the chapter before they rebox them, as they're, in my opinion, better looking models.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

FW no longer produces "terrain" as a line persay, only the Zone Mortalis boards, the other big boards, and some small things like the tank entrenchment. A lot of the things like the Hydra Flak Emplacement (one of which Peregrine has beautifully painted up) are gone.

Or you could just buy it now at $138.50 Can/$115 US and save yourself a few bucks.

I'm not really a Khorne fan (even though I collect CSM and Daemons and I have Khorne forces with some Bloodcrushers on the way) but I kinda like the Khorne-mobile. It's funky, different and certainly makes an impression. Plus you non-Chaos players will go right for it just because of how it looks so there's a tactical advantage too. As for the new Necron machine... I'm glad that my nephew wants to start a Necron Army :p

If that happens I'll just scratchbuild or kitbash something better looking than that pathetic excuse of an enlarged Chaos Space Marine with a multi-barrelled gun for a belly button fused to a bulldozer.

Y'know, up to now, I'd never considered the fact that the Can't Ally marker on the Allies table is called Come the Apocalypse...

The Necron Vault looks fantastic - and, to be fair, the Khornemower doesn't look much stupider than an Imperator (and that ambulatory anachronism remains one of my favourite model designs). And dat Eaglegun...

Are you implying that... that... GW might actually allow us to bypass the allies table in Apocalypse? *gasp*

Like, an Imperator Titan? I actually like the design of the Imperator. It looks decently imposing and hefty, I'd be pretty scared watching one come at me. I'd laugh at the Khornedozer.

Well, I pretty much assumed they wouldn't use the allies table, given the purpose of Apocalypse, but given that folks have been quoting the allies table when declaiming that their army can't even access super-heavy models through allies, I figured I'd missed something. It was more that I was surprised GW were pithy enough to include the reference in the BRB, and surprised at myself for not noticing it sooner.

See, I'm not particularly enamoured of the Khornate Titan, but it's design, to me, is no more anachronistic than some designs I do like. So my dislike for it is aesthetic, and not a function of the fact its CCWs can't reach the ground, etc.

Yep, gun moved from mouth to belly, other than that, it clearly is more LoB than DD.

Should be easy as pie to convert to a DD, for those that must have that instead, though.

I'm just going to let it sit on the shelves and worry more about converting Helturkeys into Doomwings.

The eagle howitzer mount would have been a perfect frame for my 75mm scale Golden Throne scratchbuilt, but too late... Damn. Also, I would have balked at spending a 90 euro kit for that diorama.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

And nobody noticed the price for the Khorne Guts Dozer? $160 US ! Holy crap GW. I know it's Apocalypse and all, but that doesn't mean EVERYTHING needs to cost as much as a FW model.
The Necron Money Vault is also $160!?!

Masters of the Chapter was $35 for 4 models in 2007, the new Masters models cost $89 for all 4 just six years later. It's outrageous and blatant gouging trying to boost the profit margin so high on those models when they could have done a box set of all 4 new models for a reasonable price. The Baneblade was $95 when first released in Oct. 2007, even with the additional turret sprue added to the new packaging it's going to be tough on customers at $140. I think if they would have raised the price $10 for the additional turret sprue no one would have balked, but $140 means they are basically charging what they charge for single Baneblade sprues on their website to include it in the boxed set. I have multiple Baneblades thanks to the original pricing, flea markets and some other lucky opportunities, there's no way I'd even think of having so many at $140.

So don't buy it.

Yeah! Because getting the raw materials, the sculpting tools and/or machine shop, spending months building something that will look random-interwebs-dude wonky and players will have to ask what it is or does as opposed to spending infinitely less time (and not a lot less money) to have the real thing is a way better idea.

Why are people assuming GW tried to make something amazing and just failed? They made it look campy because it's an homage to a throwback from the days of Epic. It's a 40k scale epic model, made highly detailed and slightly less goofy, but with the same overall feel.

The four people calling it a Khornemower are in the minority. It will sell like crazy.

The Tesseract Vault is simply amazing. For those who don't like the green: paint it something else. /problem

I'm assuming it'll be some fancy dice cube with symbols on it, due to the objective marker dice not sellling as well as I imagine GW thought. So, GW blamed the tin, rather than everything else about them...

I imagine.
