Is that supposed to be OSL? Oh dear.

Do-rag and goggles. A spoof of Tarik. Indeed. Well, I won't win one so... whoever does win, well, I hope they enjoy it.

Govad HMG this month? I think a podcast called Mayacast tends to have the releases for the month. Does anybody here listen to it?

Yeah but the one with the new releases isn't out until Friday. I doubt we'll get the Govad HMG this soon after the box. Tends to be a while between releases of the same unit.

Yeah, there's generally 3-4 in faction releases, so about 6 months, between a box and the 5th member blister. If Haqqislam get a release, I hope it's a Bashi Bazouk. The new art was great. Or the new Khawarijs.

I too am aching for the Bashi.
Has this art for the ITS release been used before?
Because I am totally ready for it to be a herald of the new Bashi Bazouk release.

They look like YuanYuan, not Bashi Bozouk. Hopefully we'll get a decent-looking model that's not $80.

Nope, those are the kickass redesigned Bashi Bazouk. I too look forward to those and new Khawarij.

I'd say they very much look like Bashi Bazouks:

Why, yes he does.

I very much remember those. There was a scuba guy too.

I love the Bashi Bazouk redesign. Can't wait to see the actual model.

To be fair I'm glad they don't use the absolutely a-spec design minis for the tournament packs. That way anyone can get one if they really want it, but it's not a deal-breaker (and I'm not massively upset, as I would be if say they made the new Achilles a tournament pack-only mini)

That's great for you--but remember that the new trend seems to be tournament models that have a profile, with a "general release" variant coming a year or so later.

So it's the EXACT same thing as "if they made the new Achilles a tournament pack-only mini"; just you don't care because it isn't a model that affects you.

Personally, I hate them including exclusive minis with tournament packs. They should just include a voucher that the retailer hosting the tournament is obligated to accept, for a single blister of the winner's choice and CB will reimburse them for it.

At least with this unit, you could just use a Daturazi to represent him. As far as exclusives go, I think this is probably the easiest one you could whip up yourself if you don't want to wait for the retail release.

Sounds like a plan.

Outside the US it's relatively uncommon for Infinity tournaments to take place in shops.

Nope.

Looks like the Sky Knight system, but with the jet engines on the leg points as opposed to the usual wing tip positions.

The chest pod has two lasers and one laser bomb mounted on it, not missiles. Although Sky Knight usually had a pair of arm mounted missiles...

What?!

That's nice. It shouldn't be necessary though. Retail release should come out the exact same time as ITS season starts.

"Uncommon" is not the same thing as "does not happen", now is it?

And it's not like that idea is hard to finesse a bit more. Give the tourney organizer a voucher that they can hand out so the winner can pick a model rather than this garbage of "exclusives" that they have to keep inventing new rules for.

It might not be statistically significant but the most tournaments I attended took place in game stores. And usually the owner added a voucher as prize to our pot.

Indeed!
In hindsight it paid off for him because I bought much more than the voucher's value

Good thing CB official answer is, must use model if it exsit for ITS, except for ITS prize models not giving a regular release yet

Killjoys

Nonetheless, I could go for a Bashi Bazouk. Even without knowing just what the heck is going to become of the holoprojector. My Haqq wishlist is quickly shrinking though. Only the Tuareg and the Mag Guard are left of the resculpts.

Speaking of ITS, new scenarios are coming later this month. I hope they are N3 ready.

Man I'm so hoping for a Tuareg box. Hacker, Doctor, Sniper, generic (possibly with alternate rifle and boarding shotgun arms to make a badass all in one box). I know they're not linkable, but the Ghazi box set the precedent here. Give us a box.

It won't happen.

I'd rather see N3 profiles, most of my army is still N2. Designer's thoughts on new ITS and status of the current game written in a serious and analytical tone would be a nice overture into new season. Ah, CB.

If I'm reading you correctly, you're missing the point. I don't know about Pacific, but entering tournaments is an irrelevance to me. I just don't like limited-availability miniatures.

CB did say there'd be no limited edition models that didn't have an equivalent regular-availability equivalent. This makes the third exception to that rule, after Miranda Ashcroft and Armand Le Muet.

Knight, don't worry. Those N3 stats will be along ... "soon" Mind you, all models have "N3" stats of a sort. Unless you, like me, played Exrah.

I thought Armand was due to get a regular release variant early this year, leaving Miranda as the exception?

The Muet is meant for a normal release this year. The fact he just was removed from the ITS box should be a clue to some poeple way he is not out yet.

P.S. I don't recall them saying book model would get a normal release. Just the ITS ones.

Nobody is disputing that Armand is meant to come out this year. Nobody is "confused" about it.

Then you weren't paying attention.

They said that Miranda was a "limited edition variant", just like they did with Joan of Arc for Angel's book and the "cosplay" Bolt with Drop Bear.
