So I was wondering if people would mind if I used nurglings as lesser deamons for CSM? Say what? 3 or 4 lil guys per small base? The reason for this is that well after readying the fluff about them on lexi I fell in love with the little guys. Plus I planned on putting a few here in there on my plague marines bases but for fun and flavor.

Sounds perfect to me. Any number on the small base makes a perfect lesser daemon.

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

So long as they are on small infantry bases its fine. People might argue that they aren't tall enough, but only in the most competative circles.

It should be fine. I was actually considering doing a similar thing with IG. Modeling an swarm of Penal Legion soldiers on a large base for a counts as Ogryn.

^I like that idea.
But yea... they'd get cover saves easily and don't have any shooting, so lose nothing from being out of line of sight.

So... even if modeled with all good intentions it's still an advantage gained from it.

Most don't have issues if it looks good, others will have issues, as an advantage is an advantage.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I have quite a few Nurgling bases and miss using them in games (codex:CSM strikes again).
In friendly games I had attempted to use the bases as "lesser daemon counts as",with mixed results, mostly due to base size (40mm) & wound tracking(5 nurglings per base x 4 bases).
I can also see where in "competitive" games how LOS & base size could become an issue.
So,until the re-instatenment of "God specific" daemons,I suppose my nurglings will continue to reside with in my army boxes.

Meh, just be creative modeling their bases and you won't have any problems at all. Rocks, treestumps, rubble and whatnot. I guess the only real issue is it might start looking rather contrived if you have to do it with a squad of 20 or so.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.
