Do LARP/Dagorhir weapons count? I’m finishing two javelins, and a speed bat today, minus the pommels on them.

Touching up my Bullgors and assorted Chaos Monsters with a fresh coat of some paint here and there, and rebasing to rounds(finally) in anticipation of AoS 2.0. I never bothered prior to now because I felt they were too expensive points wise in previous GHB's but they were mentioned to be getting a points reduction in the Brayherd faction focus. I'm hoping to be able to field a large Warherd force with accompanying Gorgons and Cygors, and Ungor Raider allies.

Finally got around to building the Rotigus version from the GUO kit. Sweeeeet model.

While waiting for my Astrogranite Debris to dry on my hellblasters, I'm putting together some more Primaris marines. They are the newest additions to my army and I want to see if the intercessors can replace my tacticals.

I'm a huge fan of tactical marines, so if they do end up being better I will be quite sad. (I will play tacticals in friendly games, but I want to use what is best at events)

Rebased all three Maggothlords and Glottkin to appropriate AOS bases from their WHFB bases. Did a little building up of the bases with Gatorboard and shale. When that's set and dried, I'll base and flock to match the ever-expanding Maggotkin army.

Finished Wonder Woman today, so my Batman and Marvel collection is completely painted. Next up are my TNT warband and my Skaven Blood Bowl team, although they will probably have to wait a week because exams are next week

I'm going to try and finish a kubelwagon and mortar team for my K47 slow grow league, which should be everything I need to get up to the 1250 tournament at the end.

It is not the small scale(28mm, 1/144 scale robots) that was the issue, it it is damn slick plastic dream pod 9 is using.
Its like holding plastic that has been dipped in oil.

Today I have mostly been painting a big chunky 'not' Stargate bit of scenery and experimenting with rebasing aquarium plastic plants for Ths Drowned Earth

Painting my Deathwing Knights. I bought them second hand and whoever put them together did not clean them up very well or think about how they would actually be painted. I'm considering cutting off the shield hand so that I can reach things.

Making a batch of alien jungle terrain for the local Infinity group.

Finally managed to sneak in some hobbying and built a PH/SS/JP captain for my Salamanders out of the Deathwatch Ortan Cassius

I also now dislike elephants, even when beautifully painted and played by an excellent and very friendly player in an enjoyable game...


Today has seen an effort to clear some part finished models from my desk, 8 ork boyz getting the final dust dry brush they have been waiting for for weeks (took half an hour) and then 13 tyranids got the dry brushing and highlighting completed.

Moved on to the next project, some 28mm SS... I last touched them in 2015..

Found a Dark Avengers Miss Marvel shoved away in a box, so I'm currently painting her up as the hero version of Miss Marvel as an option for my Avengers

I might get some SCE too because the new malign sorcery stuff seems to be pretty neat.

First airbrushed 2 steps, first light gray and then green, to 45 gretchins. These are now ready for brush work. Then assembled castellan knight up to "start painting" since I need to paint them before final assembly. Then not satisfied with this I assembled 4 helverins to same stage. Rather productive day I would say.

Metallics and some highlights on my TNT warband, so that they're closer to being finished. Tomorrow I'll be doing the browns to finish them off, then it's another game ticked off the backlog

Currently I'm going to be on a solid two week painting spree to get my 1500pts of custodes ready for a small tournament.

Assembled a squad of Warlord metal SS, MMG team and a Pak40, well apart from the heads as I ran out of glue, but can at least get the base filler applied tomorrow.

Also a bit more painting on some assembled a few years back, trying by many errors to work out what colours I used on the finished ones

Made the mistake of tidying the painting desk, found the half finished Greed gribblys from The Others, bod I hate painting yellow

Finished painting my latest GSC acquistions.
Only thing I have left in queue is the latest OGRE miniatures (Set 1) and I'm back to nothing left to paint. Thank goodness.

Done about half of the DW Knights. I ended up breaking the glue in a few places to better paint them. I'm trying something new where I basically paint the legs and base first, then paint the inside of the chest and shield, then glue the torso to the legs and finish off the easy to reach places. It's working well. Also noticed that my wet blending has become much faster. I read something from a pro painter who talked about just getting stuff done and moving on to the next piece. I'm trying to work faster and not worry about every brush stroke as much.

back to deathwatch conversions. I'm kind of glad I didn't use plastic cement now that I've had to keep prying off arms and shoulderpads.

Been remodeling the Unisystem to suit the current campaign's setting a bit better. Current house rules for magic are atrocious, since a fireball is actually weaker than a punch. Also found a simpler way to keep track of ammunition, which is good when your alcoholic Kermit the Frog character stocks up on too many SMG clips.

Also trying to set up a dreadnought-only 40k campaign. Thought it would be cool to have a planet where old Horus Heresy dreadnoughts were entombed from both sides, and then have them reawaken centuries later. Armies would be primarily dreads, but with one or two "visiting" units for auxiliaries.

Putting a few more Warlord metal SS together, sorting the bases out to prime tomorrow, painting the wooden parts of weapons on some others

Built the infantry for OGRE miniatures set 1. Hoping to get them primed this evening so the only thing I'll have left for the project is to paint everything.

I was going to prime a bunch of stuff due to the temperature being much more mild than the past several weeks, but it was too damn windy all day. So I guess I'll work on some more Dark Angels stuff that's already primed.

I sat down today after mowing the lawn, watched 'Role Models' and built a Thundertusk and 8 Mournfang Cavalry.

Played a game of Blood Bowl today, and now I'm working on the finishing touches of my TNT warband this evening. Tomorrow aiming to start next week's hobby, a group of 5 Colonial Marines for AVP

first proper game of Lart' De Guerre (spelling?), outing for my Normans, who managed w in without casualties (more luck than anything else really).

PRIMING!!! The weather finally decided to cooperate. It was possibly a little too humid, but I got everything I needed to done. Now there are no more excuses.

TNT warband done, probably not going to get more hobby done today though. Bought Blood Bowl 2, so I'm playing that to get some practice for the minis game

Finished painting, base texturing and painting base rims for the infantry from OGRE Miniatures Set 1. All that remain are the vehicles and the OGRE, all of which should be pretty quick based on previous smaller scaled vehicle projects.

EDIT: Also play 750 pts of 40k today. My buddy's Death Guard versus my GSC. He killed my Patriarch the turn after he came in from ambush. Used Smite to blow him up completely for 6 mortal wounds. Ouch!

Are you referring to OGRE as in the Steve Jackson game about the giant robotic super-tank? If so, I'm curious as to if that game is any good.

As for what I'm doing today, probably just more work on my Knight.

Started gluing up the first Armiger, or at least the torso part so I can have a bit of a play with it tomorrow. Wish I'd remembered to undercoat it on the sprue though!

Pop the monkey shoulder icons arrived. They seem to work without primer, so it's 'painting' time with my sharpies

Ogre is a pretty good game. But definitely get the plastic version - the minis are very nice, sharp, crisp, and clean. Pretty reasonable price, too!

Just sealed in the flocking on a jungle temple that I’ve been working on for bolt action and sanded down some mdf bases to make some scatter pieces.

Fixing and tinkering with my Dark Eldar from 3rd Edition. I picked up three "modem" Raiders for $5 that were languishing in an FLGS drawer two weeks ago. They were assembled and primed but hard living had apparently broken off everything (even the rudders). The hulls were in decent shape, though, so with some Bitz box work they are approaching being table ready. Most modelling fun I have had in a while! The flight stands were a challenge, though, as the previous owners had filled in the connections.

Also building/painting some Canadians for Team Yankee.

Getting those shoulderpads done.

snagged a box of mantics deadzone gcps faction starter, and i'm really liking the generic trooper model so far, the mixed plastic/metal, not as much, but not a deal breaker

Chopping up my Blood Bowl Skaven, and doing head/arm swaps with other Skaven parts I have. Minor tweaks, but just stuff to make my linemen look less identical

Yes, SJ Games OGRE. We will be playing using OGRE Miniatures Lite, included in the box and a free download.
I also have the re-released OGRE pocket edition, the 1970s hex based board game.
The original OGRE game is pretty decent esp considering it's a 1970s game.
OGRE Miniatures Lite can be/should be played on a small table since the longest range of anything in the core is 16".

What I'm doing today is actually playing the miniatures version.

Got my Skaven Forge World stuff from a friend, so I'm cleaning and putting them together to start painting this week. Got Glart Smashrip, Hakflem Skuttlespike and the Blood Bowl booster for Skaven, so I have the full team roster now if I use Glart as a Rat Ogre

Started slapping paint on my 'new' Eldar Army, got a couple Warlocks and a Spirit Seer done, basecoated some Fire Dragons

They're feather light, they won't be snapping under their own weight even under acceleration in a car or anything. As long as you can clip them off the sprue in one piece, you're ok.

One to the second to last step - painting chapter shoulderpads for the new deathwatch. Started with Teal for reasons I can't explain

Finished up 3 units of Ogre Ironguts for Warmaster.

That project's going on halt for a bit so I can get my Red Book of the Elf King stuff done - I just need to think of 6 colors to paint the Companion units and the Thanes (six of each). And then I'm going to tackle some French and British Regulars for the French and Indian War.

I've been in ultra organizing mode. Bits on boxes! all labeled! everything must make sense.

Finishing basecoats and washes on my BB Skaven, starting highlighting. Aiming to get them done tomorrow, we'll see how we go

After putting together an AOS 'Start Collecting: Beastclaw Raiders' box a week or so ago, I've gotten the bug and decided, after some digging through the Beastclaw Raiders Battletome, to build the Alfrosten Battalion Warscroll. This Warscroll actually consists of 4 separate Battalion Warscrolls itself, it's coming in around 6K points, so I'm pretty sure it'll never get used in it's entirety, but I'll have options!

So with that said, today I put together 2 more AOS 'Start Collecting: Beastclaw Raiders' boxes(2x Huskards on Stonehorns and 8 Mournfang Cavalry) and 2 Mournfang Cavalry from an old WHFB 2-model box that I had in the stash. So much destruction!

Built 3 mortars for my GSC. Used wooden dowel and various left over bits. Painting them up tonight for a game tomorrow.

Painted chapter symbols for my deathwatch. Now one final step of clipping and gluing and I'll be 99% done with my BAO list.

Working on 3 different models: a Ravenwing Talonmaster, a Repulsor, and an Imperial Knight. They are all in various stages of WIP.

I couldn't resist the AoS Malignant Sorcery spell minis. These minis are great for speed painting and/or airbrushing.

Managed a game of 40k, 2k of my orks v Marines. As usual enemy fliers won them the game, managed to pop one with smite and scorcha shots but couldn't do much against the others.

Predator mounted laser cannons (three of them!) saw off the heavier stuff I had in short order (mauled one with boyz, a unit over 30 strong then evaporated the following turn, while in cover, to a pair of fliers.

Wondering on getting a few units of stormboyz for some airborne choppy action

The thrice damned chapter symbols all had their connection to the sprue in the middle of the symbol, making it almost impossible to shave down sufficiently. Several got flash leaving them sticking out and two died from attempts to remove flash.

Balthasar Gold (now my fav paint in the whole range) on all the little icons of Nurgle? Done!
Nurgle's Rot (aka. the greatest technical paint ever invented) liberally coating tentacles and running out of vents? Done. And ew!
First test of texture paint for a base? Drying as we speak.
First use of the new Nighthaunt Gloom paint? Looking great!
New superglue used to put the last few bits on (yes, I used sub-assemblies for the ones with guns across their chests)? Done, and I'm not covered in dry superglue, which is a bonus.

My first 10 Plague Marines are nearly done!

Truth be told I only need one of them - the Plasma Gunner - for the start of this weekend's Black Crusade campaign, but if I'm gonna paint one, why not paint 'em all?

Tomorrow, assuming the base test works, I base the rest as soon as I get home, drybrush the bases later on, paint the rims black... and we're done!

Stripped a half dozen Doom Reaver and laid down some basecoats over them, another half dozen Iron Fangs, a Greylord escort, a trio of the easy build Primaris marines and a cute little 15mm StuG.

After having had to deal with exams and painted nothing in the last month I'm pretty happy with my progress.

Have just got back from Battlegroup South at Bovington, not a bad little show. Some nice games going on and managed to pick up some little bits for terrain and a Rubicon m4a3 /e8 kit to make fury.
Also a couple bolt action bits. Really should stop buying anymore stuff as the plastic and metal mountain is getting pretty high.

Picked up some new models today, among them 2 boxes of Venomthropes/Zoanthropes. I will build the Zoanthropes (to get to the goal of 3 units of 6), but I'm working on making parts for the Venomthrope so I can make both units out a single box.

Going well so far and I think I'll be able to pull it off. At the price I paid for the boxes, the little extra effort to get the most out of these will be worth it!

Spent almost 12 hours playing Black Crusade yesterday with a bunch of friends.

We successfully proved that we, as a unit, are completely hopeless. By the end this was our theme song.

We screwed up so badly we ended up almost setting our master on fire whilst invading the wrong space station...





And on Friday I built and painted, from start to finish, my first ever Finecost minaiture - a CSM Warpsmith. I am so glad they want away from that soft pseudo-resin cap. It's awful to work with, and so many connection points to the wonky sprues. Still, the Warpsmith looks ace. Need to base him though.

Received 40mm rounds for basing minis, need to order a bunch of 32mm rounds, though...

Primed 500 pts. of Beyond The Gates Of Antares Isorians I assembled yesterday. Nice minis. Here's a sniper her drone, and her gun.

Started flocking my Secret Weapon Tablescapes table using an old Citadel Scenery Painting Pack I got on the cheap. Haven’t even started painting the river tiles yet, but I did complete a 4x4s worth. I might add another layer of flocking.

Wrapped up six Poxwalkers using a minimal selection of colours to get them done as quickly and easily as possible for Kill Team. Ten more to go (six easy to build and the remaining four from Dark Imperium)! Though chances are, we're going to need a lot more for future last stand scenarios, so I've primed the remaining twenty two as well, just in case.





It's not golden standard, but they look good on the table.

Assembling more terrain for Mantic's Deadzone so I'll have enough for the demos I'm running this weekend.

Did a bit more work on some 28mm SS, also played a few games of Test of Honour at the local shop, the result of which is blowing the dust of the stack of unbuilt Japanese models and assembling a few more

Finishing the base of my Knight, and putting some more paint on my Repulsor.

Cut off the cap of a water filter to serve as a giant (for 1/144 scale) storage tank terrain for KOG light. I was surprised to find the shell was 1/4" thick. Now my hand hurts from sawing. Next time, I'm breaking out the Dremel

Just finished this weekends painting of my imperial guard army (2x 5 ratlings and vindicare). Next weekend is going to be convention, where I'll be joining the apocalypse battle. And after the convention, my next project is going to be legion of nagash, for age of sigmar.

Ran my 2nd Deadzone demo this weekend. Might have a new convert, the kid liked the game. Gained 2 all in players at Friday's demo.

Have to coat some haystacks I’ve built with a pva /water mix tonight to seal them in and start scratch building some farm carts for some Rohan terrain.

Too many ideas and not enough time. Lol.

Put my new into armies to work and introduced a few people to Kings of War.

Dwarves were a good choice, they are fun an endearing even if I'm nit playing myself.
The dwarf vs ogre matchup works nicely too.

It has 8 separate legs and 2 arms. The entire thing is metal and it's reminding me how much I hate metal models.

Got the SW Kill Team box and was suprised at how modular the terrain is. Decided to combine the parts into my own custom building, which I deployed last night:

Double checking my KT AdMech list vs. my models to make sure I have everything. After that bumping my Deadzone Enforcers list up to 150 pts. and getting models ready for that.

Now the bases need to be painted and flocked (mostly coffee grounds).

Arranging for my gaming shed to be a thing.

I hope to have it in place and ready for operations in a little under 8 weeks (I have to do some yard prep-work first, and then put the formwork in to get the slab poured).

It's only 10'x8' so it's not meant as a man-cave gaming space - but I will have the capability to hang a shade sail between it and my other garden shed so I'll have a shady area for outside bbq or gaming (it'll fit 3 6x4 tables in, or 4 4x4s under it).

Running my second official ITC RTT. Excited for it. Looking like it's going to be significantly bigger then the first.

Just painting a few bits that are in my massive to do pile. Mostly Pox Walkers, but I have also finished off a Fulgurite Electro Priest and done a bit on a Plasma Scion. Just taking 5 before I get back to the mound of Pox Walkers I need to do.

I'm working on my Salamanders Primaris Kill team. I have to say that Primaris Marines are a lot more enjoyable to paint than normal marines. I'm slowly being converted to the Primaris side.

Stripped 2 metal Stormtroopers I got from Ebay, now I got at least one each type hellgun wielding metal Stormtroopers, only missing a sergeant to get a legit squad.

Painted the 2 Stormtroopers that I stripped.

Edit: Painted some more of my custom Scion squad and dumped my Karskins in Simple Green.

Got to play our 2nd game of Pulp Alley yesterday. I lost but it's a really fun set of game mechanics. Can be used to play just about any skirmish, regardless of setting.

Last night/today I worked on some Alternative Armies and Hydra Miniatures retro sci-fi miniatures. Basically their not-Thundarr team and some Star Frontiers knock-offs.

First game of Kill Team later today. Looking forward to it.

Finished my third Valkyrie, despite the best efforts of the decal sheet to prevent that (the new decals from Forge World are excellent, but the old ones - the single-colour sheets that have been OOP for ages - are a nightmare. I foolishly decided to make a squadron of three using the Aquila wing decals and I hate them. ). Sadly out of matte varnish at the moment, so it's sitting looking oddly shiny and with no canopy.

That gives me three Valkyries, a Valkyrie Skyclaw and an Aquila Lander for landing troops, with a Vulture, Thunderbolt and Lightning for top cover and clearing the LZ.

Painting up piles of Munitorum crates and fuel drums to use as quick and dirty scatter terrain for Kill Team.

Currently, I have 8 Dire Avengers to paint. Not sure if I'm using them.
Nevertheless, I'm toying with Bien-Tal and 2 or 3 times 10 Dire Avengers in Serpents. Ouch!

Finishing up the lower half of this DDA, and starting the body.

Well. I was building more models for my Cryx army today, but while I was heating up my dinner I saw a tin can in the recycling bin that got me thinking...

So, I made it into a terrain piece. I have to make the ladder tomorrow before getting some gravel on the plasticard and priming it. It will be the perfect test piece to try out the paint scheme I am thinking of before starting on my nicer buildings.

Started working on bunch of grots. I need 99 plus 2 runtherds. I have 20 all done, 30 skin close to done and rest in primer only. Also need base for 50 of them to be done.

Oh and did I mention I need them done in 2 weeks? And tuesdays and wednesdays no hobby time...Going to be close.

Primed a bunch of models for Test of Honour, small amount of paint on some Stormboyz and a game of Flames of War (v3, as v4 doesn't exist)

Painting the bases of jungle terrain. Then a lot of flocking will occur. Fairly certain that I have enough coffee grounds.

Playing around with some wood filler and homemade texture paint for my space wolves bases. While listening to Wardruna no less.

Trying to clean up and put together metal starfurys and thuderbolts, this is tedious.

Basecoating some Kommandos for an Ork Kill-Team, working on the gold of my Custodes Telemon Dreadnought and playing a 2K game later.

Getting five more Stormboyz to the point they can hit the table, the fine details can come later (stuff like checkerboard markings etc)

Today I am going on a glue run so I can finish my Mantic Battlezones boxes and put together some Berzerkers. I get my glue at dollar stores because it's so much cheaper and does the same thing, plus they have a great gel and thin variety that mix well together. The thin stuff is great for filling in seams like on these Battlezones buildings. I use a lot of the thin glue. I always get funny looks when I buy glue cuz I'll get $10 worth at a time. At the dollar store that's a lot of glue and no one ever believes the tattooed guy wearing all black ISN'T somehow making drugs out of it.

Spent yesterday 10h working on these 79 grots. Need them, 2 runtherds and nob painted in less than 2 weeks on tournament.

Think next i do the 2 dreadnoughts. Less models to paint!

Got 3 stages more done to grot hord. Techically will pass all painted as all parts have base color minimum if not more. Well except eyes, teeth and tongues

Those are very cool. Is that an available single kit?

Nope. These are conversions made from existing GW kits. Each one uses a Triarch Stalker and Annihilation Barge, 2 Tomb Blades, parts of a Doomsday Ark, and 2 harnesses from a Drop Pod.

Assembled a plastic contemptor. By the Emperor, it's an easy build. It's like a snap together but doesn't have any snaps.

Doing some work painting the Midnight Stalker and a Hans proxy for Malifaux. Yesterday I built my stuff from my Gencon order, so aiming to start painting them in the next week as well. Starting to ramp up productivity again, mostly because I have my last M2E tournament at the end of September and I want to use some of these models there.

Gluing power weapons to bikes. It's Melee Time!

Maybe getting to finally basecoat my dreadnoughts. We'll see.

Painted 2 runtherds and nob with big choppa. With this my army for next week tournament is 100% matching painting requirements though 79 grots still aren't up to MY standard lacking most of highlights and some shades but they are playable with every part having base colour in intended colour as minimum. Some shading and highlighting also done.

Finishing up a unit of wraiths. I think that I'm bored of painting necrons. The units are just so repetitive. Same weapons, same scheme, same techniques. I need to soldier through this unit then I can get back to Dark Angels and Knights.

Finished building 2nd squad of Daemonetttes for Mrs Reavsie. Ugh, getting the arms in line can be a pain. While holding and waiting for the glue to take you can't see well enough to know if you've lined it up properly or if it's half hanging off. Oh well, only had to re-glue a couple.

Going to reward myself by building the Gravis Captain from Dark Imperium before moving on to 3rd squad of Daemonettes.

First offer did not work out, so trying on two more. (Dakka Swap shop)

Got a big tournament coming up this weekend (tomorrow and Sunday), so I'm getting ready for that.

Assembled six ork bikes, just finished priming them, think I've killed my air compressor as its making some wheezing sounds the last one did shortly before it expired.

Also working on some more Test of Honour models, Pauper Archers box now has its flesh tone done, an unarmoured samurai is getting what for me is the full works to use as my faction leader and a couple of others are in progress.

Made a purchase on the Dakka Swap Shop and working to sell some bits to another member.

The fun bit is that nothing from the first picture is in the second picture.

The piles of in-tact sprues actually, when combined, make up three complete Galvanic Magnavents. When Renegade was rereleased, some bits sites broke the boxes up not by bit but by kit, so I got them for, like, 40% the regular cost of buying it boxed.

There is actually one thing missing from that picture - two more Munitorum containers (not boxes, just the sprues) that I got a while back.

Picked up the GSC half of Tooth and Claw from my buddy.
Played 1k pts against him, my GSC v. his Ultramarines. He tabled me with a ton of rerolling misses buff so it's like visions of 3rd edition again.

Also played a game of Pulp Alley against another friend.
Good fun in both games since they're great people to hang out with even if we weren't gaming.

Finished painting 10 Dark Reapers and 8 Dire Avengers.
Now they are playable.

Last night managed to put together Benny Wolcomb, Rusty Alyce and Leviticus for my Malifaux. Today I'm building the rest of my unbuilt stuff- 4 Abominations, 3 Hollow Waifs and 2 Freikorps Engineers.

Sat down last night and started putting together my first box of primaris marines. So much more enjoyable to build than the older marines but I did find it a bit odd that the armour on the front of the legs was a separate piece though.

Secret Weapon Miniatures just started their 20% off Anniversary Sale, and here's a WIP base I rummaged from their Bag-o-Crap deal. $40 for a pound of resin, mostly bases, that didn't meet their standards. The base is on the left, and, after priming white, I pre-inked it with Secret Weapon Miniatures washes: Concrete for the rune column, Stone for the stone and ground, and Green for the moss. Concrete had the best results. I prefer to use Stone for wet underground rock, such as the base on the right. Green looked too bluish and not natural, so I'll try it on green Space Marines instead.

I was trying to finish some French and British Regulars for the Muskets & Tomahawks game that I was going to play this weekend, but now the group is going to play Gangs of Rome instead.

So instead of rushing to finish them, I'll take a little more time.

Next project is a 15mm Tamil Indian force for an ADLG tournament at the end of September.

Then I need to finish 10mm Ogre Kingdoms for a Warmaster tournament in mid-November, and my Kislev/Slann team for a Blood Bowl tournament I'm running at PAX Unplugged at the end of the month.

Just ordered some ship board for terrain construction.

I am in the process of glueing things back together after a minor... problem. Do you know how much damage a full laudry basked can do when it is dropped on top of a bunch of tiny people?

The answer is all of it.

Finished 79 grots for sunday tournament. Just need base for big mek and army done. Prepared then next project which is 30 dethskulls and 30 evi' sunz to prepare for klan traits.

With Conquest subscribed I thought I had better make a start clearing a bit of space.

Finished six ork bikes I've been working on to start with, then turned my focus to the Dark Imperium starter marines that have been on the desk part finished for *mumbles* months, only need the green for the armour finishing. Today saw a five man squad of whatever they are called finished and the three flying ones also finished, just the plasma ones (well four of them) to finish and the two junior officers and they are ready to roll.

hope to get the last few plasma dudes done this weekend (the other two need to wait a trip to GW to get more pale grey paint, hopefully next week when in London)...

then there are a dozen or so Samurai to shift

I am building a bridge for kings of war, a sizable one. Made from bits o' wood and little plastic things that were inside rolls of plastic bags? Anyhow they make good pillars.

Building yet more Daemonettes for the wife. 3rd box, but at least it's the last one.

Should be finished in a few days.

Aiming to make more tracks on my Hans proxy and the Midnight Stalker. Need them done up for a Malifaux tournament the last weekend of the month, it'll happen but I want them done sooner rather than later so I can get the rest done too

Bought Shadespire. Goal is to paint the minis in it and not drift off into other projects until they are done.

Building the Redemptor Dreadnought from Tooth & Claw. I'm probably going to use it with my Dark Angels, and give the ETB one I bought a while back to my Wolves, which will mean respraying it with The Fang instead of Caliban Green.

Popped in some movie for background noise (LotR, should last me a while), and started painting some bugs. Currently doing 3x Zoanthrope, 1x Venomthrope, and 12x Termagants.

Painted the white parts of some terminators to go alongside the DI marines I actually managed to finish over the weekend.

Tomorrow I hope to add the metals

When I get home from work, I’ll be stripping my plastic assault marines, will be adding them to my BA showcase.

Assembling a not quick-build redemptor dreadnought - I'm starting to suspect they make these quick-build kits so they can have the freedom of OCD-out on the other kit. Seriously - it's three frames of bits. I don't know if I'm estatic or terrified.

On the plus side, I did score the quickbuild Castigator kit and made this guy:



Got to figure our his chest-hole. The greenstuff is close to the cloth, but obvious enough to need covering up.

Working on a German 81mm mortar team for Bolt Action. There's a tournament at the end of the moth and I hope to have my army mostly painted.

Did some additional work on the new Redemptor. It's a ton of parts, but being able to open/close the sarcophagus armor is pretty sweet. Wasted a lot of time magnetizing the foward weapon pods to find out they fit and work without magnetizing *sigh*

more work on some marines, unit of five terminators had the last few details added then on to six of the "conquest" issue 1 Interbananannnannas.

now all but the final layer of green for the armour finished on five and one even has that, will finish up over the weekend.

Was going to merge them into the existing squads, but think I'll actually just buy a box of normal ones and add two to each group fo three for two more five man squads.. Brings me to four, six when the rest of Conquest arrives

I'm going to work on an early war Hanomag for my BA late war german army. It's for the early war panzer army I want to make but I need a painted transport by the end of the month for a tournament soo...

Finally actually got around to painting something

4 of my 8 Nolzur Deepcuts chests

Pulled the treasure blocks out of the open chests and cleaned up a couple mold lines.
Did a simple brown base coat and bone colour drybrushing on the wood.
2 chests were done with bronze metal strapping and the other 2 iron and then shaded the lot in agrax earthshade.
Painted the treasure blocks black, bronze then finally gold with a few gems painting on before hitting it with a light sepia wash.

Its not much but I am notorious for not getting any painting done. Paints wither and die in the aeons between my painting sessions.

Also still got the other 4 chests that have skull locks so Im still figuring out which colours I'll use on them. Probably going to attempt glowing eyes on them too. Something I usually screw up badly.

Played some 6mm ancienrs and added a little paint to my 15mm halberdiers (that make the centre of a medieval pike block).

finished off six marines from the conquest issue #1 haul, just waiting the subscription ones to arrive now.

Also did a bit of work on some objective markers and some Khorne juggernaughts.

Tried to find a box of marine scouts and bikes that is around here somewhere, failed, did find an old Chaos battleforce box though

Put on magnets for renegade set's knights(though need bit gluing up couple kits now that I verified I DID have still one piece and haven't lost it). Then undercoated those and worked some more on bunch of deathskull ork boyz.

Used super glue remover on the 3 OOP metal Eldar War Walkers. All I can say is...if you are using superglue to fill gaps...just don't. :(

Shooting a battlereport, amazing how much time it takes.

Finally got off my ass and did a test paint job for my UCM dropfleet scheme.

Built two Ork Stormboyz...was a real challenge as this was the second version of these models with metal torsos and rockets on plastic legs and arms. Loads of pinning with brass rod. Anyone have Ork legs to trade?

I did crap, so I primered my librarian so I could say I did something.

Finished my Hanomag. Now I'm starting on my Sturmpioneer squad. For some reason I just got the itch to paint as much as I can.

Loaded my Battlefoam bag with Stark troops for ASoiaF. Finally get tp play tomorrow. Took an hour. I'm so OCD on how my minis bags are packed it's not even funny.

Painting Garek's Reavers for Shadespire and assembling the Stormcast half as well. Hopefully I'll have them mostly done by the end of the week.

Making Vedic lists and doing the draw for the club's next campaign round, instead of writing my thesis like I'm supposed to.

Apparntly one magnet wasn't strong enough to hold my Redemptor Dreadnought to the Magnarack. He toppled over and now I'm repairing pieces. *sigh*

Put together the launch system of a marine whirlwind, used a bit of long rod and the smaller rocket.
Plus copious amounts a clump foliage for the launching effects, looking good so far.

Plan is to get at least 1 if not 2 colours for all the knight parts and then work on the death skull and evil sunz boyz.

Making lists at a couple point levels and unboxing the units for A Song Of Fire And Ice that I just got. Seriously hoping I can get some painting done on my Death Guard kill team.

Working on painting a Foetid Bloat-drone for my Death Guard.

Fitted the arms/ pads to my BA tacs, cut off the left shoulder pads on my recently stripped assault squad and shaded my blackreach dread with agrax earth shade

Waiting for some parts from eBay.

Continued working on 17 Ork Boyz with shootas.

Got my primaris painted up in my take on the black templars, I'm going to make my army Black templars for the Subscription so it's a quick and easy paint scheme. Also my new theodon model on horseback got painted yesterday making a start on the new Lord of the rings boxed set. Plenty to keep me going in that set that's for sure.

Gonna buy some items from Hobby Lobby to work on a couple new pieces of terrain with.

Almost finished the 17 Ork Boyz with shootas. Painted their bases and all the final highlights except for the last highlight of green. Still debating if I should lighten the green or not.

Continuing work on my Celestial Lions and Kharadron Overlords.

Finishing up some painting on a $2 front-end loader for my GSC army. With some GSC bits added it will make a nice rock grinder and matches my other vehicles' paint scheme.

Finally finished my imperial knight, and started building the rogue trader boxed set.

primed the three marines form the magazine, for the third set of them, plus a terminator chaos lord who will go with the small World Eaters force thats slowly expanding.

prepped the face on the helmetless Death Guard model from the magazine as well, pale grey base then flesh wash, will get a second coat later in the week, various greens and purples go be added at a later date

Finally finished the four pieces of terrain that I was working on.

Four days off work was the target time and I finished in six long days.

I'm so slow at mould line removal, but it's all done now.

Projects from weeken. Finished airbrush parts and assembly for 2 magnetized knights, castellan, 2 warglaives and 4 helverin. Also started painting stompa, 2 gorkanauts and continued painting 2 mobs of ork boyz. Those are almost done now.
