Prepping my Space Wolves for an Oct. return to the table continues:
Today (Mon.) = Adding a few new bitz to my Space Wolves, replacing a busted flight stand on one of the speeders, & typing up an actual list for them.
Today = I have to build a few snipers for Flames of War. I also have to paint up a Soviet Flame Thrower team that "earned its paint" in our last FoW game.
Tomorrow (Tue) = Priming/painting/retouching begins for the Wolves. This will continue daily in small doses until finished.
Tomorrow = I should start making some island terrain for Blood & Plunder/Sail Power
Wed = I have to draw a few maps for our D&D game.
Thur = I think I'd better devote a an hour or so resorting the public-use terrain boxes/shelves at the local shop. Maybe take some time to affect some repairs as well.
Every 6 months or so one of us has to do this as other people aren't putting things away properly....
Got aaaaalmost all the major paint for 60 boyz done. Just one half requires final flash git yellow highlight. After that it's just eyes, tongues, teeth, nail etc. Oh and the hair for those with hair. Phew.
Also started working on death skull warboss.
Once I get these done apart from working on stompa and 2 gorkanauts I will start on 21 grots, weirdboy and KMK.
Apoc game is scarily close seeing the pile of units I need to paint...
Working on painting my Nurgle Warband. I've currently got 6 Plaguebearers and 4 Poxwalkers on the table in various stages of completion. Just having a tea break before continuing.
More time painting my Nurgle warband. I finished 5 more Plaguebearers, and started a production line of 19 poxwalkers, now in various states of painting. It then got a little dark to paint, so I assembled a Sister of Battle Immolator from my untouched pile of shame.
Cleaned up and washed my chroneas from Mantic.
Paining it up with blue (or should it be purple?) flames so that it can pull doubke duty as a shadow hulk.
Painted my chroneas with purple fire, will serve as a shadow hulk too. Quite impressed with the model. Nice detail and the sculpt is big, bulky and imposing, but fits on the required 50x50mm well enough.
Primer didn't take properly though, anyone have issues with rustoleum and resin?
Guessing my primer is old or I didn't wash it well enough.
Put on a coat of clear matt spray, not very matt though. Luckily the sheen is acceptable on a thing that's supposed to look unnatural anyway.
Started putting together a "finecast" Ork Weirdboyz. While I have assembled resin many times before, this is my first GW resin and while it has very good detail, it is quite fragile.
Cleaned up the fine cast LOTD, ready to be washed and primed
Finished off the lasplas, I wasn’t happy with the plastic lascannon so sourced a metal retro cannon
I think it looks spot on now, just the ten or so year old rhino I got in a battleforce that is a little worse, had break off and file down the little additions I put on
finished off the last three marines from the magazine cover, have got the routine down nicely now.
just need to wait until leopardmobile has had an upcoming service and will get around to getting a normal box of interbanananannnas to bring the three small squads of three to a usable size
Returning from a long hobby hiatus and reviewing which of my paints are salvageable.
So far only 20/70. Likely will use the dried up stuff for terrain filler.
Yesterday got base colours plotted for 30 goff stormboyz-to-be and 21 grots. Also built most of 2 warlord titans until ran out of plastic glue.
Today hoping to finish up the titans(basically the apoc missiles only before I can start painting), do knights and buildings and then if time start washing up the goffs and grots.
Consolidated my miniature storage and threw out some flattened LOTR and 40k boxes I didnt realise I still had.
Also consolidated empty sprues that were spread throughout various drawers and boxes down to fitting in 1 old beat up Imperial Sector box. Threw the rest in the recycle.
Was able to completely empty an old macragge box, 2 blackreach boxes, and a few rhino sized boxes that had various bits, White Dwarf's and spare LOTR magazines stored in them. So threw those boxes out too.
Collected the LOTR standees from the magazine run that I found and have stored them together now.
Also found a LOTR banner sticker sheet, a small War of the Ring campaign pamphlet I think were a part of the magazine run as well as a GW pamphlet with a few more Gondor/Orc banners on it meant for cutting out.
Also threw out a stack of empty MDF sprues I still had lying around.
Feels good to have a little less crap laying about.
assembled a big mek with a shock attack gun, plus a box of lootas, will get the filler on the base tomorrow night, hopefully with another ten basic boyz built.
on leave from work Thursday - next Wednesday so getting some stuff built and hopefully primed ready
Doing some more painting on my Nurgle Warband. 5 cultists on the table today getting based with browns and greens at the moment. Also doing bits of painting on the endless pile of Poxwalkers I have. Current completion count on them is something like 8/96. it's going to be a long road.
Think I'll start working on titans. They look bare without their armour plates but can't put those on before it's at least mostly painted. While I can play with them prefer to get them looking their job.
Also eager to try out couple new tricks on them! (well new for me)
When I get home from work, I will assess the used assault squad and cut off the shoulder pads to fit the BA ones, then start assembling the second tac squad, making double sure I don’t have a duplicate load out ( as it’s not 93’ and there are no mono pose marines apart from primaris and DG)
while waiting for the primer to cure, and as a way to avoid hoovering the floor, I assembled another 6 boyz (to bring my third unit to full size) and another unit of lootas. will put the base filler on later and prime tomorrow when the earlier lot get their base cloth colour sprayed on.
Started building an oop metal Eldar Wave Serpent. Thank goodness for white tac, as holding the pinned joints without it while the 5 minute epoxy dries would be murder.
Finally finished a 15mm Tamil Indian army for ADLG, just in time for Saturday's tournament. Now I just need to hope the dice and my excellent tactical acumen (i.e., march elephants forward into enemy) are enough to win games.
And on to the next project - a 10mm Warmaster army for mid-November (either an almost completed but completely un-competitive Ogres Kingdom army, or basically untouched but stronger Dogs of War army), and a Slann/Kislev team for a Blood Bowl tournament I'm running at the end of November at PAX Unplugged.
Painting a Hobbit Archer the newest member of my Arnor Battle Company (Middle Earth SBG) for my next game on Saturday with my gf's daughter who's playing Angmar.
Post tournament, long weekend building! Ended up 3rd in a Malifaux tournament today, so picked up Desperate Mercenaries with my voucher, and I'm cleaning up and building Nightmare Batman as well for BMG
Started building a second oop metal Eldar War Walker (third and final member of the unit). Again, thank goodness for white tac (formerly blue tac), as holding the pinned joints without it while the 5 minute epoxy dries would be murder.
When I get it finished I should start thinking about painting them.
Been painting pair of these beauties and 6 knights. Noticed I assembled legs of one bit poorly leading to odd look :( Also played first game of AT and rules are as solid as I thought from reading them. Simple game of warlord+reaver+warhound(proxied with killa kans) and 3 knights with weaponry up to taste(limited by GME's weapon cards). I had warlord with bog standard apoc launcher+2xvolcano cannon, reaver with fist, melta cannon and turbo laser destructors and warhound with inferno cannon and turbo laser destructor vs warlord with volcano cannon, sunfury plasma and vulcan mega bolters, reaver with laser blaster, volcano cannon and apoc launcher plus warhound with plasma and vulcan mega bolter.
I tried to hold the line vs their vital cargo(carried by reaver). At first I thought I was doing good as my warlord blew out the warhound and knights but this was done by being trigger happy with pair of volcano cannons leaving reactor quite high. Warlord was then subjected to counter attack which dropped shield and reaver then hit him with volcano cannon. This caused critical hit to leg which was REAL inconvenient as my warlord started to swing left or right. So I was forced to move to get enemy in sight which meant if I order extra repair I can't shoot. My repair rolls were crap and got also body critical which meant more heat so soon I was already rolling for reactor damage from overheat. My reaver was meanwhile having hard time getting shields up even with boosted repairs so it was trying to lumber forward not being able to shoot before his warlord and reaver blew him apart. And warhound and knights were dealt by warlord who turned his side around(would have been perfect target for my warlord had it not been totally impotent due to leg critical and maxed out reactor heats!) as my distance was just a bit too far for knights to get into chopping range. And his reaver slipped past my warlord who unable to boost turn which was required to even be able to see him and even if it had I couldn't have pushed up my reactors to fire up volcano cannon anyway so there literally was no way I could stop that reaver!
Convincing win for the opponent :( But game was fun
Finished assembling the second oop metal Rogue Trader War Walker. This model came out in 1987 and had been painted several times by others, when I striped it and cleaned it up I found flash that could be 31 years old...the figure was lead so it was soft and I had to be carful in the scrubbing and clean-up.
Put together a female Imperial Guard airborne (test) trooper ( parts are a mix of Victoria Miniatures and Anvil Industry with a smock sculpted from greenstuff (Very proud of) and Assault group RPG7 (with greenstuff high explosive fragmentation warhead) and put a chimera turret on a ramshackle games Degu scoutcar to make it an armoured car (hull is still very much WIP).
Automatically Appended Next Post: trooper will be painted and glued together once I establish a scheme. Smock has hood on back so may give it reversible winter/summer camouflages.
Reavers getting armour in place layer by layer. Warlords got some terrain pieces to base. Knights got some red as well. Game coming on thursday at store so want them representive even if not complete
Spent a few hours working on my orks, 16 boyz gained drybrushing on their armour, bases painted and skin colours added, start made on weapons
Thanks. Hoping to get reavers to same stage as warlord today or tomorrow. Still lack basing, free hand and weathering but good enough for thursday game. Then back to orks. I really should have been painting those as 6k apoc game is approaching and I want as much stuff painted as possible in case codex has some huge point costs say on stompa(which I'll bring 2)! But the AT is such an awesome game and game on store coming on thursday so got carried away. And those are some pretty models(too bad I screwed assembly on some level on ALL 4 ones...Luckily one is not really visible(inside the reavers face plate. I was stupid enough to do assembling on late night so sleepy head I had trouble figuring how to put the piece together which resulted in turning around piece with plastic glue around too much spreading it and partially melting some details...Good thing that face plate covers that part!), one is rather tiny(one reaver leg angled too steeply forward. Ooops! Didn't realize that might be problem) and warlords...Well knees are better protected on rear anyway!
Secret Weapon Miniatures has a 10% off sale of their pumpkin-themed "Field of Scream" bases until the 10th, so I thought I'd paint up a few FoS bases I have. The bases in the picture are actually from the SWM "Bag-o-Crap" factory rejects, so you might be able to see where I applied the putty to fill in the air bubbles. The animated pumpkin miniature is from Ral Partha Europe's "Wizard's Conclave" miniature line.
Continued work on 30 goff stormboyz(minus jump packs that I do separately now that I got them) and 21 grots. Today will be playing game of Adeptus Titanicus(2 warlords, reaver and 3 knights vs opponents 2 reavers, warlord and 6 knight. We both are very similar with model collection so no big surprises on that front! Can't wait for warhounds)
Stripped paint from some traded figures. The non-primered ones gave up their gray plastic easily, but I have this one dreadnought that was primered Yellow. I don't know what primer this guy used but it seems to be defeating the bath.
Also getting back to building the redemptor that i keep forgetting to finish.
I got to try out Infinity for the first time. Still a bit confused by the rules, but I had fun! It was with the starter set, and playing as Haqqislam, if I'm getting that name right.
Primed some Legion Stormtroopers. I have to say that restic is truly an awful garbage material and I wish there could be a ban on miniatures being made in it. These guys took like three times as much time for basic clean up because how tedious it is remove moldlines on restic. However, they do seem like pretty decent minis and I'm sure they'll be fun to paint.
Painted camo, tyres and some accessories on armoured car and named it 'Budgie'(fierce I know) airborne trooper is ready for priming and painting (added a few more tid bits). Haven't had much time lately.
Building some Legion Scout Troopers. I gotta say these are a huge step above the Stormtroopers I bought in overall quality. They are actually quite nice.
Played a game of Pulp Alley, first scenario of the Perilous Island campaign book.
Traded in my gift certificate chips for an 8th edition SM codex. I play GSC and SMs but the latest FAQ makes it clear that my already poor win/loss ratio ain't gonna get better sticking with GSC.
Last, I painted on my SM army. They were already painted in Ultramarines scheme but I used a different shoulder pad icon from the primaris decal set. Since smurfs is the army default at the FGS, I'm doing a blue and yellow scheme for my guys.
amazingturtles wrote:I got to try out Infinity for the first time. Still a bit confused by the rules, but I had fun! It was with the starter set, and playing as Haqqislam, if I'm getting that name right.
Welcome! Haqqislam is correct, but is often abbreviated to just Haqq.
As long as you have the core mechanics down (how an order works, ARO and face to face rolls) the rest will come. You can focus on and get used to Haqq's weapons skills and equipment and get familiar with the rest as yoi play against it.
On topic: I'll hopefully finish off the second batch (out of 4) of 20 pieces of jungle each.
Took part in 30k megabattle. Traitors won! My guys weren't doing much but did help thousand sons take their objective clearing some raven guards and space wolves. Dreadnought by blowing it up covering some 30 sons of horus and iron warrior. Survlved surprisingly light casualties...

Thanks! i'm still working on the core rules, the ARO stuff throws me a bit, but i like it overall.
And i am currently painting the main line guys that came with it, the ghulam infantry. and by painting, I mean staring and trying to think of a color scheme.
Slowly assembling Witch Aelves whilst watching Prince Valiant on Amazon - the only downside to this is that its making me want a Knights and Castles type army from GW!
Painting debris on (completed)(Anvil Industry)3x Ajax mech and a stim hound bases, added shrubbery and of course grass. Painted said shrubbery.
Modified 5x Victoria miniatures AK auto rifles to battle rifles for my guard (like they need more ballistic weapons).
Also combined Victoria miniatures female bald head, green stuff and Svargan helmet. Did same with male as test PDF/Chaos militant experiment.(not sure what I want to do, but like the feel)
Helped my father with painting his Team Yankee Leopard 1 C1's, then decided to take advantage of the nice weather, and cut and textured some plywood bases for my next terrain pieces.
Finally got myself some hobby time for the first time in months. And I spent it mostly on cleaning, fixing broken things, and organizing. Still feels pretty worthwhile.
SWM has a sale on the Scrapyard base from the 15th to the 25th, so I figured I'd paint mine, which actually came from the SWM Bag-o-Crap (one pound of resin rejects for $40). The Mantic orcling is part of an orc army Kings of War set, and was painted with the Army Painter Greenskins set. I used Army Painter's Dry Rust effect paint and SWM Orange wash for the rust. Should pick out more details and mebbe un-rust some of the metal. And I feel like having pizza.
Worked on last Ajax weapons(6 complete from a team of 9), so they are complete, ready for painting. Finished painting 15x Urban commandos.(anvil industry custom regiment). Also finished my lone truescale astartes.
Working further on painting my Nurgle Warband. Another of the tainted cohort is almost done and I'm working on my Dark Imperium Bloat Drone. I've also nearly finished the Dark Imperium Plague Marine sergeant. It's one of the worst models to paint I've ever come across. It's so busy I just can't it to a state I'm happy with.
touch more on some loota.. will finish them one day, promise.
Also first wash on the poxwalkers from Conquest and the death guard second set got the base brass and wash done.
nice easy night, only about an hour and a half here tonight
goal is the death guard finished this week, the lootas to the point they are very nearly done but not quite enough I'm happy to use them, tradition then demands they sit on the table for a few weeks like that.
poxwalkers will have to wait as I need a few more paints and the nearest GW is a 40 mile round trip.. may have to be an early finish at work as I work not too far from the Doncaster store...
Have a tournament i'm running this weekend, so painting terrain. The events keep getting bigger, which is awesome, but it's requiring a lot more work to keep the terrain up to par.
Assembling 3 Slaaneshi Daemon Chariots.
My fingertips are full of regret.
These are fiddly, somewhat fragile and have wayyyy too many parts.
The hellflayer version is also annoying me a little. The seeker chariot was clear on where the yokes should lay across the back of the steeds, and I could glue them in place one at a time. The flayer is... less clear, especially since it also requires matching the right angle between the chariot body and the blades, so the yokes will lay correctly.
Taking some time off from painting up my Nurgle crew to slap some paint on some Mechanicus models. Electro Priests, Skitarii and a Knight are all on the table having various bits filled in.
I'm prepping for a friendly tournament on Sunday. 1500pts of Knights and Guard. Finished and submitted the list today, tonight the girlfriend's away so I'll be trying to blitz through the rest of the Guardsmen. I can't wait to finish them, I splurged a bit on the Hostile Environment upgrades, so they'll all look pretty cool, even the Mortar teams are all kitted up.
If the weather/lighting plays ball, finishing my Renegade Commander, Renegade Command Squad and first ten Militia, to tutor them in the ways of righteousness.
So the OOP Eldar Jetbike was one I picked up on Dakka and then stripped the old paint scheme so I could repaint it to match the five I have. However matching a paint scheme that is over 20 years old is proving to be a challenge.
Finishing the Midnight Stalker and Hans, and mocking up a slotted 60mm base to use as the new Anniversary Batman. The normal model is beautiful, but far too impractical for a normal game, so I'm building up a base that will slot in a 30mm base so a regular Batman model can fit on the base
Working on last bases I need for 6k apoc game. Alas 2 of those are gorkanaut sized...Also painting legio mortis warlord and reaver along with 15 knights.
Today, I'm looking forward to a game with my Eldar vs. Mechanicus, 2000 pts. Not sure what my opponent is bringing.
Calw, Robots, Castellans, Skitarii are his main elements. Often he brings a Knight.
I played Eldar at the last three Saturdays vs. 2x Deathwatch and Space Wolves. While SW got tabled in round 5, the other two matches were close.
Decided that my first attempts at colour matching to my previously painted OOP Eldar Jetbike have failed and it is getting another bath in Simple Green to try again.

That sucks. Not being sure of how you painted previous models. My IG models are in bit of similar situation. Not noticable with infantry but vehicles new one I painted was clearly different to previous ones!
Been taking advantage of sick leave. These 2 titans ready for transfers and weathering, 9 knights ditto, 6 knights almost same stage and finished paintings for apoc game
so i got in my kings of war Vanguard pledge earlier in the week, and decided to start building it.
I've started, and nearly finished, with the Basilean warband
My thoughts so far
I like the resin used for the three heroes, and like that the ogre guard had multiple arm and helmet options
Plastic Man-At-Arms, i don't like the oversize guards on some of the sword options, and i think it could have benefited from some kind of markings on the sprue to help match bits up.
sisterhood-personal preference, i don't like poses that require balancing on one contact point (in this case a foot)
panthers-one pose, probably more trouble then its worth to try and repose it
paladins-people are going to feth up and lose that little circle that attaches on the back of the helmet i'd imagine
sergeants-spears want to bend
sisterhood scouts-no comment really
Overall, as the first warband from my pledge i've built, i'm pretty happy with the models and look forward to painting them

tneva82, too true. Usually I am quite good at matching (you can see in painting logs as I have lots of old miniatures), but this one is proving to be difficult. Oh well starting again.

Yeah, I can feel the jealousy!
Elbows,
I assume you are using these to slow movement and not stop bullets?
Received dreadnought bits from eBay yesterday at noon. Finished the dreadnought today around noon. Only had some minor ruination of the arms by my matte-finish spray...but I'll cope. It's a Chaos dread.
Starterted working on basing for first titans. Also did basing for 3 nob biker when I realized those still remained from saturday apoc game. Oh and packed all miniatures bar those. 6k orks is a LOT of boxes and 2 bags filled brimming. Def had to drop idea of taking stompa. Since I use public transport rather than own car could not take 2 bags AND stompa(nevermind 2) so stompaless 6k list it is. Good to know I have 6k painted orks + painted stompa+near painted stompa!
I won't be killing anything of note in apoc game but maybe I'm at least hard to chew meatshield. Though as only 2k or so covers all the boyz and grots so not that tough on 2nd thought...Ah well. Good thing they are just plastic soldiers so army being wiped without anything return doesn't hurt.
Playing game of at. First big taste of uneven points. About 1650 vs 2015. Smaller mortis will have more command points and can pick own mission once larger side has decided on his which helps
Unboxed speed freeks. Holy cow this is a lot of plastic and the board looks fantastic. Going to pull the terrain first and see if I can make a kill team board out of this stuff.
After that it's just a long wait until my Tehno figures arrive from Russia so I can mod the crap out of these Orks.
Participiation on apoc game cancelled due to stomach illness so assembled 2nd reaver for Legio Mortis to stage where I can paint(2 pieces plus missile launcher lack magnets as I ran out) it. Was planning to assemble after apoc game though so not even really good replacement.
privateer4hire wrote: Finished building (i.e., folding cardstock) the Neon Lotus scenery pack from Infinity. Going to use it for Pulp Alley since we don't play Infinity.
I would strongly recommend it.
I ran a small (due to geography) Kings of War tournament today. I was great fun, definitely looks to become a standard calendar item.
For attempt two, back to trying to colour match this last Eldar Jetbike. Matching a paint scheme that is over 20 years old is proving to be a challenge, GW and other paint suppliers have been changing their paints quite a bit over that time. Although amazingly, my Ral Patha Royal Blue is still liquid.
Assembled 3 more knights(bringing total to 18...) and worked painting on second Legio Mortis Reaver(nearly done for pre-transfer/weathering stage) as well as continued basing Legio Victorum.
Been busy adding some watercolours to my latest drawings in the Grotlife Sketchbook. Using a lot of green funnily enough. Actually loving working with watercolours!
In more 3D hobby activities it's been fixing magnets to the undersides of my latest batch of 1:300 aircraft now prepped and ready for painting.
Repair day; got home from gaming at a friends and when I opened the car door my Warmachine case fell out and threw my newly painted Man-o-Wars all over the street.
Putting bits of paint on a couple of models. In a bit of a painting rut at the moment. I have very little motiviation, so I'm just adding a few highlights to partly painted models.I need to get my mojo back!
Finishing up this guy. Still need to matte coat it and then gloss coat the wounds and boils, plus do the base, obviously. I'm also still thinking I might add some Tamiya clear red in some of the wounds, but we'll see.
So I started using some waterslide transfers on my Eldar Jet Bikes and since they are painted in a dark blue Alaitoc scheme, I found the yellow Alaitoc Craftworld symbol sort of fades when applied onto the blue.
issues 7-10 of Conquest arrived this morning, so have them built, bit more work on my battle wagon, now has tracks and wheels so is in theory useable, though unarmed
Artirelly mob reporting for duty. Found guide showing ideas to turn trukk box and mek gun to 4 mek guns. Need to find 1 old mek gun sprue still and still need at least 3(4 if i find that sprue) to make 9-12 more.
Didn't actually start on the Deffkilla Wartrike as I'm waiting for some more Tehno gear from Russia. In the menatime I did do a paint scheme test with two orks - a Wierdboyz and a normal Boyz. I like the results for the most part, but a couple things may need to change color.
It's hard to tell on these two models, but I'm trying to copy Rogue trooper for my 'Gorknetic Infantry'
Currently painting up some space marines so that I can buy a new set to try my hand at eldar (i am doing some old school schemes from uthwe back when they had yellow helmets and black armor)
I am also painting a quartering scheme for my space marines and I have now fully shelved one space marine army as I didn't really like their color scheme.
FrozenDwarf wrote: tryed something new for me.
doing black sm dreadnoughts and tryed using a pencil for edge highlighting.
turned out better then i expected it would!
I assembled and started painting a piece of terrain for my infinity gaming.
Then I lit it up (it had clear acrylic "holo" advert signs) with LEDs.
The Warmill "Lo-Rise" building from their C*A*S*H*stak line.
I decided to put the small module on the bottom (and used a dice cube as a support for the upper floors.
The uper levels have stairs access to the roof (there's also an elevator at the narrow end that also allows access to the roof).
I'm still adding detailing to the bare white - I'm out of narrow tape for masking and the weather wasn't co-operating for spraying anyway. So I started on lighting up the acrylic "holographic" signboards. There are two. One at ground level, one on the first floor (we count ground as the bottom level here, 1,2,3, etc) and the dice cube was lit up as well.
The LEDs aren't actually that bright (the "red" and "green" - hence the dim light shots. They're only 50-60mcd and can't really be seen well in full daylight. The adcube is lit by 4 1000mcd white LEDs and can, though).
Finished decal application for my repainted captain, lt and an intercessor squad. Remaining are two more squads of intercessors, two squads of hellblasters and two three-man squads of inceptors.
Edge highlighting some Primaris Reivers. Hoping to do as complete as many Primaris marines as possible before the Christmas battleboxes come out and I stock up on more. I must have over 30 built though, so I have my work cut out for me :(
Bought these years ago, and I just found them again. I think they’ll make a good Freeguild army, but I’ve only got 5 crossbowmen, and Pirazzo is missing his sword, and the standard broke. And the only set I can see for them on sale is £145. So.....tricky.
Fedex lost track of my Other Side kickstarter pledge (Something they seem to do a lot) so I'm just working away on these orks. Got all the pieces to the DeffKilla Wartrike primed, just need to basecoat.
Looking through my box of bits to put some stowage on the plastic m3 halftrack from warlord games I put together the other night. Also making a start on the rubicon models m4a3e8 that’s going to be fury, has to be done really.
More work on my King's Empire. Today I'm looking to finish cleaning of mold lines and fixing warped gun barrels, then getting all the infantry down on bases.
Had a late night painting and managed to get a couple models done for the Gorknetic Infantry, including a Blastabike and my warlord, the Traktor General:
Put the base kit of the m4A3E8 from Rubicon models together and a fair bit of stowage on the rear deck. Now tomorrow’s job is to add to the small details to turn it in to fury.
I primed an Imperial Knight, some devastators and my Sternguard Vets. Some of these models have been waiting since 2014 to get a layer of paint on them.
tidied up my workspace with some containers i'd gotten that stack fairly nicely
also finished going through all my old copies of No Quarter and saving all the articles i thought i'd want later on into pdf files
Finished 5 Primaris Reivers, now doing some work on some Necron Lychguard. My undercoated pile is going down faster than I expected, might have to get some more models primed before the bad weather truly sets in.
As far as I know, I'm the only person in the UK with an advanced copy of Conquest from Para Bellum. It's was a gift for painting a few models for promotional photos.
I've been under NO obligation to do anything with them but I've been painting and demoing it around the country because it funnily has turned out be be everything I'm looking for in a game from rules, minis and lore...
...the perfect storm
I've even started a YouTube channel dedicated to it
Finished cleaning, and then priming two Hornets and a bunch o' wraithguard...going to see how much I can get done just tonight. I haven't hobbied in a short while so I'd like to crush some stuff.
I primed the gak out of my Salamanders army. I primed a Chaplain, a Contemptor Dread, an Ironclad Dreadnought, an Apothecary, a Primaris Lt., Primaris Hellblaster Squad, Sicaran Battle Tank, Vindicator, Razorback with two turrets, Scout Squad, a Terminator Squad and a Tactical Squad.
Working on Legio Mortis titans. Warlord is just short of basing before being done. 4 warhounds also waiting bases and weapons. 2 reavers ready for getting transfers, weather and basing.
Then just 18 knights to base and whole another legion to transfer/freehand/weathering.
Plenty of things to do with titans still. And soon new knights come out...Need at least 4 of them to begin with!
