and now to put some quantity to the quality...? what will you charge for the minigun? i see lots of potential for this...by the way...since it fits so neatly to your own belts...how a bout a package price for a combinded product?

Now you're thinking

well...to be honest i have a business administration degree and specially in marketing... so something like that is something i should thinking about...but i don´t like to do that kind of thinking anymore

Probably shouldn't have got a degree in it then

anyway, that's kind of what I was trying to get about in my own incompetent, mealy-mouthed way: with the similarity in designs and the probably-not-wildly-differing costs, what's the USP of these ones over the established brand of the Maxmini ones (other than personal preference). Belts & bundles would be a good one

lol...stop that BA gibberish man lol...

but in essence...what my old tutor /prof said...we don´t sell qualities we sell benefits/gains... that´s what interest the customer... so a bundle for that would be quite a good idea...

so...how long till shotguns and a fitting amobelt bundlepackage?^^

Give it a proper tube frame if you are doing an ammo backpack- But I think your minigun barrels are too short...They are long and they rotate because a minigun is generally air-cooled.

If I had one of those, I would use the housing, it looks great!, but I would cut off the barrels, scratchbuld different ones, and give it a weed-whacker handle.Of course, I may just be biased on miniguns now

Ordered approx 24-36 hours ago and the bits are sitting in front of me as we speak.

Very impressed with the bendable chain and the wound lengths of wire too!

Thanks for the extra little bits. The detail on the 6 shooter is very impressive for the size of the model!

and tho i love your stuff kit!!! i have to say... the price for the sigle amo sickle is a bit too much on the steep side... i don´t want to haggle here but one pund for mebbe 5 of them would be much more fair......also...you know i would need to buy me lots of these anyways...and if the price is lower beforehand it prevents copymaking... this small detail is one that i could use for zillion items...

Zinge (or Anvils Hammer, if you're also reading ), I'm currently in need of a couple of Infinity-style Heavy Machine Guns and Sniper Rifles... think high-tech versions of 21st century guns and you can't go far wrong. Any plans along those lines? Chain Rifles would be handy too (Corvus Belli don't seem to sell any gun spare bits).

Apparently this chap has one (slung) --

http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/miniatures/infinity-the-game/ariadna-s-a-s-chain-rifle-1.html

In game terms they are similar to very short-range shotguns, but the fluff involves superheated scraps of metal being shot out or something... they're cheap, mass-produced weapons that don't require much skill to use.

Zinge, what Ian's refering to are a bit like the Needle Weapons of Battletech lore - shove in a block of ammo and it knocks a bit off and fires it down the barrel at stupidly high speeds.

And if I want to run them as a faction that has a TAG/robotic drone, I can just get a 1:35 Ma.K/SF3D trooper.

Yeah the minigun is still WIP and probably too truescale for my tastes.

Back pack is better but bland - pics later

WGF models are certainly not up to GW standards but I wanted something other than GW stuff on my Stand.

The some of the Heads are great bodies good arms are poor weapons bad and the sarge bits are bad.

I do like part of the gun I think it's the barrels I am not keen on, they need to be gapped if you see what I mean like in those posted pics.

Plus the heads on those are pretty cool I do agree, but the arms suck the weapons look like melted blobs of plastics and the coats folds all look wrong they don't crease properly they look computer generated not real.

well...kit...have you thought about designing your own range of mini soldiers yet? i think after the very good work with those powerfists it seems rather obvious that you should one future day move on this field too...after all you already have a followship of buyers so this would be a rather selffulfilling endeavor... i mean we all would buy them simply to test them and as we use them and portray them here it all gets multiplied...

Necromunda style would be perfect. Generate a general idea and give someone a creative set of ideas to build open ended fluff for you so that you really can never run out of projects.

If I could have one generic miniature body created for me, I would want this:

A simple duster or trench coat! Pig Iron has already made this head (most of us have some of them)- and with seperate arm bitz, I think many, many, many people would buy them for conversion work.

Thanks Ronin,

It was an awesome day day from start to finish, the 4 of us (Joel (Anvil Industry), me and our 2 stooges) felt we had more fun than everyone else not to mention the biggest banner

The Scrum was quite something!

The response was amazing and I never tired of seeing peoples reactions to my flexible resin bits.

I was understaffed and understocked but waht a result next year I will certainly try to up my game - Think I need scantily clad glamourous assistants (Bikini for Gareth), a podium and a 40megawatt sounds system.

Hopefully see you all there next year!

just about recovered from Salute. was great to see the Kit & Joel there (that 30 minutes where the hall was only full of people with pre-bought tickets was bliss!). They definitely looked besieged when I went back later

I bought a bunch of hatches to outfit one of my Rogue Trader land raiders, and they're great - didn't realise that the circular one was quite as big as it is though. I also didn't know that the hatches fit together without glue, and have working hinges!

new rivet strips were great, I thought they'd be much harder, like a plasticard strip that you slice the rivets off of, in fact they're made of very soft resin that can wrap around things like armour and shoulderpads. the preview strip I got had a few that were slightly out of line, but they're easy to spot and cut out if need's be

Hokey Kokey then - may I present Flexible rivet strips:

Available in 5 variations:

1. Double
2. Single
3. Large single
4. Large nobbles or
5. Ramshackle

100mm long, glue and paint easily extremely bendy and sharply detailed.

See following shots for examples of use. Took about 5 mins to cover the egg in rivets.

Note the "S" bend in the ramshackle strip

Strips can be stretched about 10 - 20% to hide short cuts

The sample set of 5 is £2.50

In the future sets of 1m of a single type should be £4.50

Thanks Dave - might sort out a second sample set. need some more recommendations.

Ok so lets put together a "conversion" pack of strips.

I think that most things will come in 2 sizes small and large. Looking to make a 10 strip pack so:

5 ideas 2 of each in a set - large set & small set - or
5 ideas 1 of each in both sizes - or
10 ideas 1 of each - large & small set

Ideas:
Chain saw teeth
Normal Chain
Rope
Pipe with clamp plates
Ribbed pipe

The last 3 are a bit weak and kind of rehash some of my other work. Those that suggest ideas that I go with will get a sample set (You will receive a pm to acknowledge the fact)

So thinking caps on guys & Girls (ever hopeful)

I did have another idea you know the teeth you get on the end of cogs how about something a long the lines of that, it would help with the dilemma I am having which is on a gun mount.

This way we can build cogs of any size or shape or part round ones ect, then just add the chuck strip to the edge hey presto …….

Also any chance of building a chaos version of your human power fist, I so want some for my chaos guard

I would also like to see some strips with varying size bolts to what you have all ready, also can we have a human size chain blade and a ork size one as well

Maybe you could build large ones for dreads and even Titans …… maybe over kill there

Thinking cap on ………

I'll second the request for Orky items. Also, how about belts? I was thinking of a strip of about 5 to 10 cm with a buckle in the middle that could be trimmed down to attach bedrolls and whatnot. Also, straps with ratchet tie-downs would be very useful.

Some more night scopes:

Of particular note is the old "Starlight".

If you feel like cheating for profiles, look at the BF3 battlelog page and the unlocks for the weapons, there's decent (slightly stylised) profile pictures for multiple sighting systems.

I think I have one 3d'd up that's printing ready, if you're interested contact me.

@Faolan - Thanks for that will chuck it in and see what comes out. Have you seen Anvils scopes: http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_87&product_id=152

@Mr Dog Cheers - got another classic in the works but your gonna have to wait for the set to see that one

@Padre - The second 2 sets need remastering and will be available in about a month. I am not happy with the large bolt head strip. I seems to closely spaced and the strip is not wide enough. The Large rivet has casting issues.

Cheers

Oh Yeah - stock updated on site

I am doing an Adeptus Mechanicus army, wires and cables galore, and glockworks to boot. How can I build man-machine hybrid robots and not include pistons.

I will gladly add two sets to the order.

(Do you need me to place a new order through the website (not sure if that would add an extra shipping charge), or do you want to send me a bill through paypal?)

Kit, I've seen them, but you're talking to a man who needs more variety for his optical needs, especially with 3 SM armies, 2 Guard Armies, a Traitor Guard Army, etc.

And while I've 3d'd up new bolt guns for my SMs (other than the Wolves), their combi weapons, and a scoped sniper version for each of the two gun patterns, I just CBF making ALL of everything - so if you can do it and make some money off it, I'm glad to support it!

I am not always the best at posting reviews, but what about posting my conversions and such and pointing out where and how I used your products to make these conversions?

Also public shout-out for great customer service. I was able to inquire about adding to my order on this forum and had good communication from Zinge. I needed to spend about $10 extra bucks to get free shipping, I was not able to go through the site and handpick items so I asked Zinge "can you just throw enough random cables and bits in there to make me meet the free shipping limit?"

Zinge was happy to oblidge, took my money, and now I am looking forward to getting to work once they get here! Adeptus Mechanicus, here I come.

If the products turn out even half as good as the service so far, I shall be a happy panda.

How well do your flexible cables stay 'fixed' in place? Eg. if i was to use one as a mechadendrite, with ome end attached to a body and a claw at the other, would it stay in the position i put it?

Great minds think alike!

The resin power cables have a bit of spring to them, they'll stay in whatever shape you bend them but really sharp bends and curves make the thicker cables pull back a bit, but the wire wrapped cables are perfect - I'd keep the diameter low though, the thicker wrapped cables are quite stiff and don't lend themselves to easy bending by hand. The 1mm wire wrapped cables are perfect for mechadendrites, with the thinner power cables (1.3mm or lower) as secondary power lines works well

Zinge, I thought I'd throw an idea at you. Would you consider making shoulder straps for various races/weapons? I'd think they would be simple sprues with maybe 5-6 variations. The obvious ones are those found on many marine bolters but I'd bet both IG and even Tau players (like me) might like some for their weapons as well.

Example...sorry its a bolt pistol, but you get the gist:

Personally I'm a painter 1st, so for me clear resin would be pointless since I would want to paint Object Source Lighting on them.

Just my 2 cents on the topic. Maby have it available in both Clear and Normal Resin?

@Lone Dirty Dog - The only problem I see with casting up Jawa blasters like that is that you'd need to either cast them as one piece with the firing arm or cast a separate special firing arm specifically for them. The problem with so many of GW's models' arms is that they're designed to hold pistol grip weapons - very few are easily converted to hold rifle grip.

You can sculpt or convert a hand for it. Which reminds me I still need to do that for the ones I made. I totally forgot about that.

LDD, you had mentioned those to me before, sorry I didn't get around to it, but you didn't pester me about it, so I didn't think you were that anxious for them. If Zinge doesn't want to I can still give it a go.

Zinge's would probably look better though.

Holy crap I forgot I mentioned these before I have been working on my grots a lot lately and found a load of my old goblin bits, hence I started thinking about kitting them out with something uniformed.

After several hours of routing through my pictures I came across this picture and thought thats the one, I new I had mentioned them before, but thought it was on here obviously it was not.

So sorry for that and the reason I did not bug you Jake was it was not a major need at the time but rather a cool idea, now I think it will work well for me.

So I asked Zinge as I know he can nock them up pretty quickly and adapt them easily, plus he lives in the UK so its quicker and easier for postage, plus I have asked him to work on some other stuff for me.

He was the first person that came to mind, so no offence intended mate I am trying to remember where we had this discussion now

Extra large is massive - 3.5mm by 8mm wide.

The normal "large" sprue contains one which looks similar, which is 2mm x 3.5mm, closer what you are after.

Kit, scale it down a bit and make a versions which is sized in the middle!

Those aren't hollow points. Hollow points have stubby, indented ends. The picture looks like they're full metal jacket, FMJs.

From Wikipedia:

Left to right:
Hollow point
FMJ
Soft point
Round nose

Extra large is massive - 3.5mm by 8mm wide.

The normal "large" sprue contains one which looks similar, which is 2mm x 3.5mm, closer what you are after.

Kit, scale it down a bit and make a versions which is sized in the middle!

AH

and would that be LA1 or LA4? ordering 4 whole sprues instead of just what I need gets expensive...

This one-

and all the dimensions for the various belts are there as well..

Just answering on Kits behalf as I happened to have the belts on my modelling desk next to a digital caliper!

Brilliant Kit, brilliant.

I just can't bring myself to sculpt all the tons of them that I'd need, and since I don't know what your flexible resin is, I couldn't cast them myself even if I did!

I know I have been quiet for a while but things have been mental.
I havent had much time for social media but the cogs have been whirring and have loads of ideas just need time to bring them to fruition.
Things are clearing slowly and I have a whole bunch of products headed your way over the next few weeks.

So stay tuned!

Thank you for giving me such an idea! for now, I will have to work quickly on the wing skids and extend the nose skid as I am under time pressure, but will convert all to wheels in the future.

Re:Zinge Industries - Bits Site - Modular Buggy Release and Salute 2015 Offer. @ 2012/06/19 16:43:06

Post by: dsteingass

NP The skids are made quickly, just a couple of rectangles glued together, the bottom wider, longer rectangle bent with pliers and teef nipped in with sprue cutters. The hinge is just a piece of 1/2 round. I'll probably add rivets and a few details yet..but that is all it is.

The wheel rigs are just brass rod layered with styrene tubing and strip parts

Did you do the same design on the wing angle?

@Charax - the new Klaws are bigger and better detailed (and cast properly)

6 Months no just over a week

6 Months is timescale for something else ish and should be ignored

@RW the hand scanner is 8mm square and the hand is approx 28mm human - console is 15mm x 20mm

I wondered what had happened to those claws I want some of those for my ork Kommandos

The spent shells is a brill idea, could have done with them about 18 months ago (long story) however I could use them for sure. What size are they ?

The console is a nice touch and the hand scanner is tops.

Well, have a great holiday mate although 1 week is long enough then back to the cave for you.

RW yes 2 days and all ready in the dog house

Had a sudden idea for a new gun you could make (a bit late I know!) How about the machinegun from Lost Planet? It has a pretty different design from your average firearm, could be a pain to add to existing figures though... Just a thought!

That minigun is pretty sweet. I hope it will be in your store soon.
Speaking of things being in your store, when can we expect some of the pretties you've tempted us with to show up. Specifically I'm interested in the computer console & hand scanner, the loose bullets and the power claw.
Also, any plans on releasing the bulkhead lights in ordinary resin?
And finally, you had mentioned to me in an email some time ago that you would be releasing the 23mm military wheel in a sprue of 4. I hope that happens soon as I need about 20 of them.

Cheers.
