Cheers, Yeah all scratchbuilt and quite fun to do.
zinge wrote:@Recalcitrant Daze - Welcome you must be a man of taste great models and judging by your Avatar great music. Have you heard 555%?
Definately, nice to find out you are a fellow Pledger! The new songs sounds great as well as I caught one of the Pre-Download warm up shows Ginger did.
Zinge, I don't suppose you fancy producing scale model rebar do you? Preferably in metal. I couldn't find any anywhere (except in Japan) and ended up doing my own 3D model for printing which I then cast in resin. Ideally though I would like metal rebar which I could bend into shape and cast into plaster pieces. I can then add battle damage to show the rebar.
I was wondering if it would be possible to modify your wire wrapped cables to create rebar?
Example of the cast pieces I have done previously which may explain more clearly what I am getting at.
(3D print on left, cast pieces on right)
(resin rebar cast into plaster wall piece, exposed by carving damage into wall)
@ Roy - its gonna be good - just may take a while :(
@ Dave - well blow me down ug ug ug ug! Judging by the other comments in that post I was half cut.
Rebar is interesting - can't cast in metal but know a man who can not sure about how popular it would be. How about flexible PU resin with a stiff wire?
Also loads of products added to store.
Computer consoles & hand scanners, Bulkhead lights, Mechanical Claws, 23mm Wheel Sprues and Battery holders.
yay i have ordered it and exited to see the results ones it arrives
and just now i saw the minigun pack with backpack and all i am such a fool but mhe there is alot of revolvers coming up and you cant complain over spilt milk anyway or in my case soda most of the time
Order needs to be placed, even though I promised the misses i would not buy any more stuff this month
But I have to know just have
I am sure the Tank Bike will look amazing of that I have no doubt
Order placed great new stuff (don't tell the misses ) cant wait to get this little bounty although I thought the chain teeth were in shop but were only a preview
Viktor von Domm wrote:actually there is a thought... those teeth... could do well for the wheelsection of that tank bike...what do you think?
It is a bike Vik with wheels, although you could do a track version as well wich I think may have been mentioned before although I would be happy with several versions of this
Viktor von Domm wrote:well you can never get too badass on bikes i guess^^
No, they would look cool on my Ork bikes as well
Talking of which any chance of getting some tires like yours Zing but thinner more like bike tires just really want to scratch some bikes with a more realistic look
You have no idea how long I've been cutting the teeth off of chain sword blades in order to make the "ornaments" for my Mantis Warriors. I think those days are coming to an end!!
Hey Kit, are the chainsword teeth and the orky strips up on your site yet? Been poking around and I can't find either... so I'm starting to feel like an idiot.

12"
Thank you good idea on the inner flat edge means less hassle fitting them.
This gets me thinking any chance of doing a sprue with varying buckles designs you could attach them in a length with a little tab in-between each one you can then just cut one of each time you need it
This would make making bandoliers and such easier also any chance of some pouches in the same way I get sick of GS stuff all the time I want some to build webbing and such but cant be arse to keep GS it all
Automatically Appended Next Post: Got my order today next time use more tape as it had popped open
Luckily every thing there was great stuff once again and the little extras are a nice touch
I had a couple of lengths of some kind of well not sure really is this a new release to come could be used as my early idea
On the down side one of my rivet strips was broke but was close to the end of the sprue so only 6 rivets lost
The teeth have turned out looking great nice job on them the guns look brill but I knew they would
The ammo boxes turned out spot on several uses.
The giant claw looks better bigger overall very happy
Just one thing have you considered casting some of the rivets strips in the hard resin I think for some conversions and scratch building it might be better
@Dave - As requested all your bits will be miscast
@Roy - better tape - will do, Glad you like the bits. Hard resin bits are surprisingly hard to do and get more errors than the flexible - sorry about the error I do try to catch the worst. Also this isn't really the place for emotions we are all manly men here including the girls.
@CAin FAnks
@Faolan - tentacles are still in development one of sculptors is still recovering from the shock of typing tentacles into google images. Be warned don't do it!
@Roy - Orc / large chain gun was released a while ago AKA BFG.
Buckle idea is great it came up a while ago and I have some crap sculpts from 3 yrs ago which need redoing. Gonna add webbing buckles and ladder locks etc.
Also I have an annoucement:
As you may have noticed things are a foot (300mm comments etc)
Zinge Industries will have a short period of reorganisation which could lead to some delay in orders going out.
My good friend Gareth whom you may have met at Salute will be taking on most of my casting. (trainning started today).
This will eventually mean more stock, faster response times to orders etc. But this may take a while to iron out any kinks.
It will also give me more time to create _ which I am really looking forward to.
flames rising up with the bottom half being flat to glue to something.
think of it such as: I want a khorne dread with a flaming mowhawk, or menoth infantry with bases wreathed in flames, or someone having just been swept with a flamethrower
Dam how did I miss that there is a large one I wanted one for my Ork Kommandos as well
Good news on the expansion glad to hear your going from strength to strength just make sure the new guy does not screw up my casts no seriously
More time for you to create does that mean the tank bike is moving up the list
While I think about it any chance of doing a larger back pack for the BFG mini gun while I think about any chance of doing a load of Ork sized backs packs You know the large load types heavy equipment covered in ammo rounds tools ECT.
Also some hand held saws for Orks like this cheers Roy
zinge wrote:@Ouze - shotgun bandolier already in the set
That's customer service, Games Workshop! A customer asks for something, and Zinge goes back in time and adds it in. Well done! or maybe I just am stupid and missed it, also somewhat possible
zinge wrote:@ Grunhdz - Flexible fire ala the flexible Dags is already on the cards.
This sounds fantastic - I'm envisioning a flame pattern on a flexible strip like the dags or checks for gluing onto armour etc as raised "flat" detail... would come in very handy for all manner of decorations, particularly if you varied the scale.
For example, 2 to 3 mm high flames for adding to Marine etc. armour, 6mm high flames for adding to Dread / Tank armour, or 1.5 cm high flames for adding to scenery / superheavies?
I'm never subtle but also never say no to pictures - trying to give people what they want - always waiting for that spark that makes me want to create.
zinge wrote:I'm never subtle but also never say no to pictures - trying to give people what they want - always waiting for that spark that makes me want to create.
Now that is how to run a business sell things what a customer wants to buy, who would have though tit I will have a look around for some pics then, I am glad the tank bike has been much fun for you, now if only you could share it with the rest of us
I can't believe it took me this long to find this. Your site is like a candy store. There is so much I want to pick up.
Oh, and another vote for flexible flames, maybe. Is this going to be like the black flames that the Bad Moons decorate their armor and vehicles with or the flames like the honor markings of the SM Salamanders? I'd buy both, especially if I can recreate raised relief on my Sallies' armor.
Thanks guys - Cold showers for ouze and kroothawk I fear. Must be something in the air RSJake's thread seems to have also descended into childish inyourendohs and youformeisms
Ok I think a pack of mechanical and organic tentacles is on the cards (some already in the works) - please submit ideas here looking for a pack of 5 or 6.
As for teasers not much for a week or 2 as I get some ducks lined up - Ribble Rumble tournament at the weekend - army is looking a little rough - no trophy for me this year :(.
Personally I'd rather see a pack of mechanical tentacles and a pack of organic ones rather than a mixed set.
Maybe a couple of 4" ones, some 2" ones and a couple of 1" ones?
Organic:
1x 4" organic tentacle, 2 rows of small suckers, textured back
1x 4" Organic tentacle, 1 row of suckers, styled with small radial teeth
2x 2" organic tentacle, 1 x1 row of suckers, 1x2 rows
2x 1" tentacle, 1x1 row of suckers, 1x no suckers
two rows are common in nature, whereas a single row is quite common in fiction, and allows for more detail on the suckers. For the mechanical ones, look at what can be done with the masq-mini tube tool and Green Stuff Industries Tentacle Maker - it's not worth copying directly, but looking at what people have used them for could serve as valuable inspiration.
An idea for the mechanical ones could be to have fairly generic flexible bodies and a sprue of hard resin attachments for them
One it was based on a German ww2 Prototype, which I asked Zinge to build,as for 40K rules they can go suck my arse, this was a project I asked for.
Plus I dont play 40K I just like the miniatures so fluff wise I could not care any less, however I am sure Zing will design it so it has a multi use for whoever and whatever.
Zing you are doing a great job mate and I think it looks great

This was brought up ages ago, slow progress but very happy never the less
Automatically Appended Next Post: Just for reference :
Yeah I remember you bringing it up LDD! this is Very cool Indeed!
Perhaps make the side dakka optional? Have it an open hole with optional blank armor inserts, or different dakka, sponsons, or any number of other attachments that fit in the holes?? Even sculpted inserts, like the rhino door replacement doors.

I am leaving this up to Zing to design, I know he has a few options in mind, plus conversion kits
The weapons (and mounts) need to all be modular - customers will want to model this in many different ways:
- just a cool model as is
- counts-as bikes of various sorts
- mechanical cavalry, e.g. counts-as rough riders
- grot tanks
- killa kans
etc. For the same reason, I'd also make the cupola removable and replacable with a turret mount.
@ Clang - It will be modular - Good call on the cupola. Wonder what diameter I should make the recess? Hmm...
@Charax - Rivet/decal strips are not available individually. Those that are popular will be made into sets of 10 (either all the same or as a cohesive set)
Good news it is going to be a modular kit this way it allows for variations in units and originality The new texture on the front and back top sides is that an option or permanent fixture.
The only reason I ask is maybe it could do with some kind of edging you are still doing a wheeled version of these though right
How soon on this being ready, I only ask as if it worth waiting to place an order
Is there any chance you could do a steam punk version of this as well I am thinking some kind of cogs small boiler and chimney stacks, even as an add on kit
Glad you are enjoying this, as I cant wait for this to arrive
by the way... was too lazy to take a pic... will do that later...but man you are crazy... got a letter in the mail... looks like you butchered zillions of harmless steampunky guardsmen^^... so many thanks!!!

Good luck with the job mate hope it is going well, no probs hope they are some use mate
Taken some suggestions and put them into the design.
This is great fun
Might need another rivet or 2 more - what do you think?
Cheers
Kot
You'd think that the noise of all those guns firing at the same time in such a small enclosed space would make the rider deaf. Of course, that would never stop an Ork, or anybody in powered armor. Anyway, that's just too many guns. perhaps a single twin-linked gun to the front and a fixed gun to the rear. (Grot gunner or very simple machine spirit.) Just my opinion.
Still don't like the idea of the front hinged opening, on a tank it makes sense but on an enclosed bike
You have to remember this is for the riders head, so this would have no use what so ever except blocking his line of vision as for the T34 it shielded the tankers body and they looked over the top of the hatch.
On the bike this is only for his head to see out of
But Hannibal doesn't have a t-34 hatch to hide behind? It's all wrong!
If asked, I agree that the hatch/gunshield might be a little trickier to pull off on 2 wheels. But I also know 2 things: Kit will come up with gold and no one asked me!
Vitruvian XVII wrote: Well i finally bought a load of stuff id been meaning to pick up for ages, including computer consoles which id never seen before!
Conrad Turner wrote: I can see that bike being of extra-ordinary interest to Ork players
No, really.
Imagine a Gargant skating down a highway on either two of the tracked ones or four of the wheeled ones!
Hadn't thought of using two as a combined double track unit A bit small for a Gargant perhaps (presuming they're roughly bike sized), but could make a great base for a counts-as buggy/trakk/dredd?
Happy to help mate, But depends of the size of cable ? I am working on some steam punk mini's and need cables allover the place, mainly for backpacks and wiring for machines.
Now those are very nice indeed, I want to do some Ork kommandos based on WW2 brits and these will work a treat
Now if you can build a 40k version of these I will be ecstatic
Automatically Appended Next Post: Now before you say it is a sten gun I know but I want a longer version as well, that grease gun is epic as well and the sten with 2 mags is a really cool idea
@ Vik with a little work maybe , but Kits stuff is to cool that it now seems wrong not to pressure him into making it
Kit yes I did mention that in the post I want a longer beefy version as well, I need them for Orks BIG Orks the same style really just longer with a big silencer on the end
Just add it to the to do list
Tracks nice, now do I use them for grot tanks or errrmmm
faolan wrote: I've got this beautiful idea for you, Kit.
Wheels, but, diseased, rotting, decaying wheels with equally sickened tyres on them.
Starting in Bike size.
Done right, i.e. wheels/tyres in terrible condition but still believably able to hold up a vehicle, these would be great for Nurgle (and general Chaos, e.g. Cultists) and Orks. And for 'wreckage' scenery. I'm not aware of any other manufacturers doing anything like this.
OK I can happily say I have seen the Goods and I am very impressed, the tank bike is every thing I hoped it would be and more Yes I like it a lot indeed.
The possible uses are endless and with a few conversion sets could be easily adapted for several races or game formats.
This is a great model and will take pride of place as my favourite miniature
You will just have to wait for the minute, as the dam builders are starting so we have had to clear the kitchen and there are boxes every where.
Man Cave is now box room but I am doing a little work here and there on it to put it together, I will post a pic when I find the camera I know it is in a box …………..
Hey Kit, any idea when your remastering of the cable bundle sprue is done? I've been waiting a few months on them to order already, but it keeps saying "will take atleast a month". If it actually is a month I can wait, but if it's several months more again I'll have to find a different solution.
Heya kit ol Buddy, I have an idea. Could you make a Hobbit door with the same reliable hinge system from your hatches?
Both single hinge (knob in the middle), and double hinge (french door style) ?
Or..maybe just a hinge I can glue on my own door? Your excellent hinge is the key!
Javin wrote: I tried to figure out how to order just one type of ammo but could not do it. Oh well.
Do you mean the ammo belts ? if so they come either as a sprue of varying styles or you have to buy individual strips, just look at the strips to find the one you want.
Hey Kit, thanks for putting together those sprues of small chainsword teeth... I just bought you out & will probably do so again! Also got some other goodies! Huge help there... thanks!
Just thought I would let you all know that we will be attending Hammerhead in Newark in February http://www.hammerhead.org.uk/hammerhead2013.html Yes there will be some previews don't know if there will any for sale.
Dam I wish I could have gone, well to be fair I was going but I had a bad case of gut ache so the thought of queuing for any length of time did not seem a good idea.
Glad it was a success and the stand looks pretty good although I cant tell what the hell you have in the packets at the back.
I was squinting to make them out I am going to go to Salute this year no matter what so will see you there
Cant see the servo arm as my quick play will not run it for some dam unknown stupid reason
I like the map table thingy. So customers will add their own map (from thin paper or plastic) on top? Certainly useful for dioramas - I'm imagining a totally cool spaceship bridge interior
if you can find a compact driver small enough to put in the design that would work much better with an Electroluminescent panel at the back rather than LEDs
oh hey, Kit, I'll be at Salute this year too, you going to do the pick-up-order thing again? it was great fun just walking around grabbing bags of stuff from you & Joel and other places before the doors opened for most people
Cant wait for the servo arms. Half the stuff I bought from you last year is in storage waiting for a Warpsmith conversion
Using EL panels for that is more trouble than it's worth. It's not hard to diffuse light from an LED either - I find simple semi-opaque thin white tape works (you know, the cheap stuff), or just a white baking sheet with cellotape on both sides.
an alternative would be pointing the LED away from the panel to be lighted and reflecting the light off of the rest of the inside of that model Really, going EL panels for that size of project is crazy (in price alone - those drivers aren't free either!)
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also Anybody need a ticket for Saturdays Sculpting Masterclass @ Warhammer World in Notts UK? Got a spare ticket as a friend has dropped out.
Well that makes more sense then, I was assuming it was rather small, I was imaginging using several of them as sort of a tactical "sandbox" with the little figures and arms to push them around on it, but at that size, there's no need to use more than one
Actually I am working on a little something which is using some of KIts wheels little die-cast conversion getting Apoced it was the only model to hand and bits I can get to.

Other wise the arms are on the to buy list love the options on these plus I can use all of them just by buying the other arm set, see what you did their mate
I went to make my order but realized I'm an idiot and will muck it up. I want to get a flexible ammo belt for this punisher cannon, but am not sure which is appropriate: can you tell me what to buy?
Salute this year is the 20th of April and at the Excel centre in London.
I will be there next to our good friends Anvil Industry. Stand TM06 Please feel free to come and have a chat.
To place an order for collection on the day please checkout as normal but select "Pickup From Store" and ideally leave a message in the comments box.
Orders can be placed up until the 13th of April so be quick. If orders placed after this date I will do my best but I can't promise anything.
I will have a whole bunch of new products and "Works In Progress" to view and purchase.
Salute will also be the release date of the Legendary Tank Bike so come and get yours!
