Hi Guys - Here is what's happening:
Zinge Industries and Curious Constructs are Kickstarting a gun platform and a range of 4 heavy support weapons.
If the project goes well we have a great set of stretch goals lined up and maybe even a few freebies.
The guns are compatible with the original Curious Constructs Kickstarter carriage and vice versa for the guns on the platform.
Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates

Looks good but just a few suggestions.
The position of the operators panel seems a little odd imo ie: 180 to the barrel and directly behind the breech..Having been in Arty, albeit a long time ago. this was never a good place to be standing... Maybe its supposed to be automated? Also needs I think more decking/access around the rear for re-loading etc.
Keep up the good work, bought quite a few of your bits and pieces and never fail to be impressed with the quality.

I asked Kit the same thing just yesterday and it turned out there was some issue with the 3D print so it is being re-tooled which means a release delay
Hopefully not to long though
10028
Post by: zinge
@ Nicky J - as LDD says (thanks Roy) we have had a couple of quality issues with the 3D prints so we are getting some redone and also taking the opportunity to tweak the design for a better / easier model to assemble.
Not sure of an ETA but we are working on it

Hi Everybody,
Here we have some more images from the on going Kickstarter. To find more especially about the pigeon pending targeting system head over to The Kickstarter to see what Albanus has to say in the various updates. We are fast approaching the next stretch goals so feel free to spread the word we can reveal the next images.

@ Shasolenzabi - thanks they were great fun to create
Next strech goal unlocked:
The flame cannon is a delightful horrid weapon assuming you are stood the right side of the trusty gun shield. To prepare the contraption an almost insignificant pilot light is ignited inside the cavernous cowel of the barrel. A high speed fan is coaxed into life and once thrumming nicely the weapon is set. To fire pulling the first lever opens the barrel to the airflow and the second lever allows the gasohol to be drawn up the snaking pipes along the barrels length. Upon hitting the pilot the now vapourised gasohol bursts into flame and the whole conflagration is carried toward
the unfortunate enemy at gale force. Mr Badger a local painter and decorator who saw the Flame Cannons inaugural test seems really taken with the concept and had some barmy idea about using it to paint his house of all things – Good luck! I say.

Your all very lovely
Just £44 to unlock the Wheeled ZIMP™
The Zinge Industries Mobile Platform (ZIMP™) is a multi-purpose platform which can accommodate most Zinge Industries support weapons and can be supplied with your choice of wheels, tracks or legs according to taste.
The main body for the ZIMP™ is common through out the range and it is powered by the standard ZI-S-Engine. This reliable yet powerful powersource drives the large flywheel built into the chest of the beast, allowing the remote operator to send power to the required function of the platform be that for'd and aft movement or rotation of the weapon. The selectable rotating optic head on the front allow the operator to see what threats the platform is facing on the battlefield and choose their targets accordingly. All this is achieved from the relative safety provided by the ingenious Tesla Corporation remote system of which unfortunately we can say very little.
Surprisingly there is no steering mechanism built into the ZIMP. This means that the wheeled ZIMP steers very similar to a common tank, by rotating one side faster than the other or counter rotating the wheels to really spin ZIMP round quickly. The sprung suspension keeps the mounted weapon on target over the roughest terrain.

The Wheeled Self-Propelled Platform is now funded, one last effort towards the Tracked Platform perhaps? As previously alluded too, the tracks are fully reversible giving you two assembly options potentially.

I second this on all accounts.
Well, swap that image with a spotlight. It's like... the market had no spotlights, so I started to make my own to cast up and give out to cool PM blogs.
Then Zinge and some others I am following deliver us our spotlight fix. I guess a light was shined on the problem... Now I might have to wait a bit to get some but, I will. I will probably get a lot frog both but, I think these ones are cooler and larger(?)
Edit: 11/30/14. I feel rude for asking this ( PM if it is,) but, Zinge do you have a set of treads that would make a nice base for this TFC kitbash? Not going to lie, I was originally going to use Anvil Taurus gun platforns for landing gears for my Stormraven and this TFC's base but, they're waay too small. So I am looking for treads that are as long as this project. (Techmarine for scale.) I guess I'm trying to find a way to stuff bit-companies-on-Dakka's forums into my projects.

Very nice! I appreciate that, and so my fellow Yanks know, overseas Tabling it is bringing it up across the pond, as opposed to the opposite here in America where Tabling it means putting it off till next time. Good thing I had International Business Communication class as one of my Comms courses.

Perfect Organism wrote:A driver body (or two - one ork, one human) would make the buggy an easier sell to me. Converting miniatures to fit into seats is a pain in the backside.
Seconded. I've seen far too many open-topped vehicles with 'invisible drivers' because the owner couldn't find a suitable figure and wasn't a good converter.
Hmm, maybe that's a market niche Zinge could exploit - a choice of legs at different angles, a choice of generic torsos, and a choice of pairs of arms holding various steering wheels. (We can supply the heads ourselves...)

2326
Post by: shasolenzabi
Having used the wheels and track shoes, the smaller wheels maybe, but the really big one is more superheavy sized, of course I fiddled around and the set up can make a large sized FT-17 tread section like that.

The smaller wheels will fit the angles of a Leman, they have the right width to fit inside the Leman Tracks outer teeth, yes, and the Zinge Track pieces also are the same width of the Leman Russ tracks, (I actually checked). Zinge track section do have a 4pieces as one and a triple and double, but the whole Zinge tracks have a internal hinge, so it would not work with the old Leman Russ wheels unless you glued them in further than the old tank tread sections did.
The cogwheels will fit inside the Leman Russ track teeth ultimately.

Got the package on Friday or Saturday, but didn't have time to open my little prize until last night.
Unfortunately, I have quite a busy schedule, coupled with a painting backlog, so I won't get to this project immediately, but I just wanted to say how impressed I am!
Not only is the vehicle itself rich with customization options, it is also rich with character.
While I am no expert in the world of hobby modeling, I buy things all the time from GW and most of the third party ork suppliers and the casting on this buggy is superb. All the details are crisp and fine, with little flash to clean or excessive mold lines.
This thing looks great, and it will look even better once I add all the ostentatious bits and bobs to it that any proppa ork would demand.
I'll try to get some assembled shots together in the next few days along with some size comparisons, including one with a driver!
I assembled it with black tacky for a test run, but once glued it will make for a far better photograph. I'll try and take one soon.
Here's a hasty shot of it spilled out all over my hobby station:

Looks lovely as do the three I purchased recently however I have only admired the sprue's due to lack of time and my man cave in mid clean up
However I have to agree with the above statements it is truly a fine model with great possibilities for customisation and conversions, if you ain't bought one you totally should or even two

Welcome back, and thanks for answering! I'm not getting the set, but I do want your wheels for a few projects, Taurox being part of them. I thought the wide wheels would look better, but I was asking because I didn't want to buy them and them end up being too big to look good, so they'd be fairly useless to me. Good to know! I'll be buying soon. I'll post pictures, when I finish my modelling goals sometime in late 2057.

Just wanted to say - big respect to Zinge. I purchased 3 sets of 27mm military wheels at Salute, but when I got home I found that they were actually 23mm... So, contacted Zinge via Facebook on Sunday evening and they got back to me that night and said they'd post me the 27mm wheels, plus said I could keep the 23mm True to their word, 3x sets of 27mm military wheels turned up in the post this morning.
