No I havent posted anything AoP related just yet, I've been so short on time that uploading would waste too much, but I have been taking pictures so that i can hit dakka with them when im done. They look fantastic, Rogue! That scenery in particular is serious quality - I think you've got a pretty decent chance

The guard look great too, through all the blurriness - have you considered investing in a tripod? Or some kind of anti-convulsant for when you take photos?

Well this camera sucks really bad for one thing , so my plan is to make a light box, and get a new camera.. being that my birthday is in 2ish weeks i might get it sooner than later

From the ones I've seen at Gamesday...The judges prefer recognizable GW bitz on the scratchbuilt stuff, do you have any of the plastic Mordheim building bitz to add as greeblies?

hey RW... that display board looks awesome!!! i was a bit worried seeing the foamspray at first... but then you worked some more with that and now it looks very cool indeed! and those minis... you really improved greatly! and no mistake!!!

I Added some nice backing to it, filled in some more gaps, then am going to do 1 more run with spackle giving me thursday and friday to paint it.. last night i painted 4 more imperials, i have 4 more imperials to paint today, 3 (theives guild) Artillery crew and 1 imperial for tomorrow, then the imperial flag, artillery, dragon preist and dovahkiin on friday

Yep- go onto GW's website, click Golden Demon, then click full rules. I am thinking of taking something myself..I don't expect to win, but just to be a part of the experience

no... My drawings aren't quite good enough IMHO, but I really DO want to get my Catachan Orkmower painted and weathered to take. I don't expect to win anything, especially not in the 40k Vehicle category, but I'm going, so why not? I'd enter the 3 Ork Bommers, but the vehicle squadron category is for squads of 5+ vehicles.

thanks vik, the lizard head was some 2$ model my sister bought this year for modeling practice ( she is a video game designer and was computer sculpting ) and i just added the horn from some high elf dragon tail i had.. and im glad i did the skyrim mini, it was a last second mini and alot of people said that was one of their main choices for voting for it

i had some feeling that it might have been a thing that got you the votes... tho actually the mountain should have been enough... has the whole building prcess costed you a lot of apint by the way? that big terrain... i only recently found myelf really silly for using my favorite paint as a means to paint my brickwalls really i should have gotten me a nice cheap paint to get that job done instead of my last good bottle of mecharite red...darn^^

lols i'll post the pics of my competition when the FB page posts them, and dont worry the board it self was painting with regular ol' acrylics.. although i did have to use some nuln oil, but the door and metals i had to use my gw paint

alright well here they are..
pic1- this is just the better version of my concept sketch.. and I will use this for scaling..
and this is what happens when im bored.. (and also dave inspiring me to pick up my old prisma markers)
pic2- this guy I like alot.. took me 15 minutes give or take... I think its self explanitory.. its obviously a self portrait of myself after i "die"
pic3- now this is 10 minutes worth of doodles... obviously more humorous than realistic, but thats the nature of doodles...
pic4- =][= guy of somesort.. uhh I think thats a squig and also another self portrait (which actually made me want to draw it bigger)
pic5- umm this guy is... some random =][= guy and a servo skull... now I must say my favorite thing about doodling with pens and not pencils.. is that it the characters evolve ( I always start with the face, not knowing what im going to draw), seeing as I cant erase my mistakes
pic6- odd shaped guardsman who reminds me of Pee Wee Herman!
pic7- and some chaosy stuff, followed by the skum of the galaxy

Well after a trip to GW, I painted up some of my IG squad, built some more (still WIP as they are a bit odd).. and ran out of primer! good news is that I decided on what im going to add to these guys.. definalty some vendettas (and *stormtalons as allies) so it will definatly be vehical heavy, with a ton of fliers so keep an eye out for that.... any way to the (horrible shot{this is getting to be a problem}) pics!

Firstly the thing is flapping in the wind dude, but secondly the freehand adds so much that masking would take away. I like it as is, it adds character tbh, so I wouldn't worry about it

thats the way of thinking I use, just know that if you do another one some time, try out what you were originally going to do and compare the two and you'll see what I mean

well there are tons of GW's here, although the only one open 6 days a week is the LA battle bunker, and thats over an hours drive away, plus since alot of local GW's are closing down (mix of too many in this area) I'd perfer to make big spends here just in hopes to keep it

Just look at the Leopard 2 tank! We buy them from you guys and then we take out your old and expired stuff (just kidding) and shove our technology into them! and voila! A highly modernized tank.
But that really doesn't matter anyways.. we have very good tanks here but they're too few and very expensive so if anyone attacks us we're screwed anyways..

at didde... well come to think of it like this... we germans and you swedish folks... we won´t get into a brawl of any sorts real soon anyways... the northern armies are rather useless if you ask me... tho tech level is pretty high... but if you ask me... i´d rather see all that money spent for caretaking and education than guns and tanks... but i am rather all alone in that regard... really we spent billions on the development of the Jäger 90 a few years back...and when it finally hit the stores , so to speak it was already out of date...

A quick update, I started filling in the valk with bits (and like an idiot forgot to take a picture of the celing i did :( ) well, nothing is glued in so that it can all be painted and put back, but i also got some amazing bases (thanks galorn!) i really like these ones, the casting is great it really only required the tiniest bit of cleanup and than they are ready to be used, the next box i but im definatly going to be using these bases, and im going to use it on my valk, and am probibly going to add some guys and gear down there to make it even more fancy then it already is...

nice. I'tll be interesting to see how much of the detail comes out when you paint em. a Painterly friend told me that some that I had given him painted up really easily.

yea i was suprised by how much texture came out on it, im excited to do up the valkyrie base!

If it is resin and deep enough, you could cut a hole in the bottom and add a weight of some kind if stability is a concern of course

^ by the way vik on the base 1. it is much sturdier than a standard valk base, and 2. i think your mistaken, this isnt a heavy weapon sized base, it is infact valk sized

Not yet but soon. (pretty much as soon as I create the images for the inventory page and have a sit down with a potential web designer to get the specific specs of what I need to do...)
