Their on top of the front line now, any bombardment would kill 16 brothers, and my character. Don't, orbital bombardment would most likely level any thing within 2 miles aswell.

Magnus, not to reign on your parade but Jump Packs are short-burst jumps only. It would take you quite some time to reach the city's exterior from your position, even with a jump pack. Makes more sense to, well, try and link up with some other nearby marines rather than try to get back there.
Maybe call for extraction via aircraft. That seems like the only way to feasibly get back to the camp within any reasonable amount of time.

Would this be a good time to point out that there is a massive continuity issue here? For those of us in the city, or at least the first of us there (myself, TGN, Magnus) - only an hour, maybe two at the very most have passed. Yet at the base camp it's somewhere in the middle of the night. And for one of you, I remember reading you moved it all the way to morning. This does, of course, mean Magnus and Blap not only jump packed 15 miles nigh-instantly, but they moved through time as well. And from the last few posts, the terminator sergeant is in the vehicle graveyard whilst Haestus is in the middle of the city, yet the two are talking.

That's true, but the multitude of time frames in this game is reaching 3 or 4.. and people are passing through them as if they weren't there. When so many people advance the time of the game so much, it can cause a lot of confusion.. especially if people forget about it.

You must realise it is perfectly acceptable for other players to write in things your character says and does, to an extent. Naturally, very important or critical decisions still rest on yourself and cannot be made for you by other characters (except, perhaps, in your absence).

You must realise it is perfectly acceptable for other players to write in things your character says and does, to an extent. Naturally, very important or critical decisions still rest on yourself and cannot be made for you by other characters (except, perhaps, in your absence).
I undersand that, but just earlier Squig said he came in and stole the marine when I said I was next to the table. You can't just say,
'I did this and they did nothing and I was gone.'
I totally understand. One of the biggest problems roleplays encounter is people getting sidelined in events they wanted to act in because they were offline, or not present or whatever.
It might be best to have an event done to sort it out, perhaps have the captain and blap's character larry back in the city and then get swamped by some enemies.. the captain escaping but forced to leave blap's character behind.
I believe that would work out well and leave our resident apothecary and techmarine to get on with the fight.

Depends what you mean.. I don't think anything you're up to currently is drastic enough to warrant GM attention.
Now, can we please focus on putting character, location and situation at the top of our posts.. mostly to give the GM an easy time of it.
And rather just writing
Leonidas, camp, cutting up test subjects
Try to actually write
Character: Leonidas
Location: Camp
Situation: Dissecting test subjects
That is all.

Give the "controlled" method a chance. I think you'll find it surprisingly superior to the unlimited freedom that un- GM'd, uncontrolled games have.

I've actually been avoiding other characters due to the issues that seem to be prevailant when it comes to character interaction for some. I originally asked TGN to join as a member of my squad specifically to try and show some of the players how character interaction can work. Of course, we split up so it didn't exactly happen..
In fact.. I've begun formulating a perfectly good idea as to how we can all get in position for some real good interaction. I'll go ahead and PM the GM so he can make the necessary.. arrangements.

Haaa.... I should I have also mentioned they aren't called discipline officers, that is just their role in the regiment. Their actual appointment would be a Warrant Officer class 1 or 2 depending if they are at company level (2) or at a regimental level (1). But it all depends on the type of regiment considering there was no formed structure or manual to follow during the pre-heresy times. So it's a CSM (Company Sergeant Major) or RSM (Regiment Sergeant Major). They are there to enforce or supervise strict training regimes, dress, morale, and overall timings and stores allocation. So like a regular commisar they watch over eveything, answer to noone but the company or regiment commander, even though in the CSM's case he holds a lower rank than a lieutenant. They are the most senior soldier, highly respected by officers even though he is an NCO (non-commisioned officer), he would have been with the company/regiment the longest and is the best man to turn to in need of advice.

What? I go away for one night and we lose most of our players? God, i act like some sort of plauge here.

We haven't lost most of our players. I believe in total we've lost three players.
If anything, that gives the GM more time to devote to the rest of our characters.. for better or for worse.. either way it'll be more exciting.
@Magnus - Try and remember.. I'm not DarkofVoid.
Speaking of Magnus, what's going on with the captain rescuing blap's character? Is that retconned or..?

Can I post a new one? Also may I use Blap's character in it? Another question what are the new rules of making a post?

In TGN's absence I'll do my best to answer questions.
Private_Joker wrote:Can I post a new one? Also may I use Blap's character in it? Another question what are the new rules of making a post?
New one? You mean character or post?
As for using Blap's character:well that lil ol' Neophyte is in the heart of the city.. I'd imagine, seeing as you were captured outside the city and there's not much of a feasibly way for the rebels to get back in; you'd most likely find your character taken to a hidden camp/supply demo a good few miles away from the city. Maybe an underground bunker.
If underground bunker, I might well be seeing you soon.
Rules for making a post? Same as previous. Just remember to use the Character/Location/Situation info at the top. For example as I am using for my current post:
Character: Morias Kalvae
Location: Inner City C+C complex
Situation: Securing building

Ok, I am going to let the RPG go on for a bit without me (more than I already have) and reenter when all of you are in trouble with some... reinforcements

Post by: The glass ninja
Oh, alright. You asked the structure for a post? The same as before. Luciuis is in a deep underground bunker beneath the palace, Darko is in the city along with Rocker and My avatar for now. Admiral, magnus, Joker and the rest are out in the trench lines?
46915
Post by: Private_Joker
Joker is MIA. Presumed KIA.

Post by: Deadshot
And Einer and Acharius are fleeing from Xenos in a sewage pipe under the city.
I must ask, must I always do the character/situation/location bit? To me it rather ruins the flow of the story. Besides, all of that should be explained in the post.

Post by: The glass ninja
It makes it easier for everyone and is quite common in large scale RP's such as this one.

Post by: Private_Joker
I agree with Deadshot reading that at the start of the post spoils it. What if we just mention where, who and what we're doing within the story?

Since when can someone jump over walls that are manned by huge amounts of soldiers including autocannons and las cannons and the wall itself is also insanely high?

Post by: The glass ninja
This is merley a request, but i would like everyone to try to write at least a small paraghraph. If you can't, it's OK.
53940
Post by: admiral9
TGN but if you are in a conversation you only post the part you say so making a paragraph with that is rather hard.

@Admiral: no, too powerful, you can, however eliminate a leman or two. The cultists came up with the demons.
@Blap: Just might work
Robot: No.....possibly.

TGN: Not that Leman Russ..
