I already read that ten minutes ago, and Robot's just the company's apothecary. That doesn't make him a master.
53940
Post by: admiral9
Then i am thinking about this wrong.
A company from the great crusade is equal to a chapter. And he is the companies apothecary so i guess that should make him a master but maybe i am really wrong with this.

But no one has to answer to you, as you hold a rank unrecognized in a military sense.

From lexicanum the armory http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Armoury#.T8OBdZIr650
The Master of the Forge is the Chapter's most senior Techmarine, well-versed in even the most arcane areas of scientific knowledge.1 Answering directly to the Chapter Master, he is responsible for everything that goes on within the Armoury, allocating weapons and vehicles as needed or storing them within the Chapter's heavy armour pool.2 p.9 For this reason the Master of the Forge will rarely go into battle himself, as his vast store knowledge is particularly priceless. In times of great need though he will gladly march to war, wielding some of the Chapter's most wondrous and awe-inspiring weaponry which only his wisdom can maintain.1 p.70

That doesn't help your case.
In fact, it supports what myself and Andy are saying.
Besides, masters of the chapters and such, is background written for the chapters of the 41st millenium. Legion structure was quite different, even in the grand company's.
There will be many more Techmarines and Apothecaries in the 3rd company, Robot may not be the master of the apothecarium or whatever they're called.

Predator-controlling Techmarine. Here goes:
Tocus Rahl, commander of the Predator "Vortex"
Pred weapons: TL Lascannon turret, Plasma Cannon sponsons (not sure if this possible)
Rahl's weapons: bolt pistol
Abilities: always appears at the perfect time
Tocus always loved tanks. When the Night Lords had come to his city, Tocus had signed up with great enthusiasm. After failing all of the tests except the vehicle-oriented ones, the officer in charge of selection pointed him towards the Techmarines. After being tested by them, the techmarines sent young Tocus to the mechanicus with written orders to construct a LasPlas Predator.
Fifteen years down the line, Rahl has built up a reputation of last-minute rescues. It is common knowledge among the Night Lords that if Rahl is on the same planet as them and they are in a bit of trouble, Rahl will arrive just in time to save thier hides.

Other than that you could join my "behind the lines" force if it fits your character.

Player: Private Joker Name: Rorick Kovar "Scream" Age: 104 Rank: Sergeant of the 10th Claw, Devastator Squad, Bearers of Immolation Personality: Completely devoted and sometimes immovable from a firing position, his rock hard attitude allows him to brave incoming fire while returning his own withering barrage. Known as Sergeant "Scream" due to the relentless noise of his heavy bolter and his booming voice which can be heard over it. Background: As a scout he was considered a "grey man", one of those who did not shine yet performed out of the limelight. His quiet acts of duty were noted and was soon promoted to a devastator squad. During a cleansing of a corrupt Imperial world he had shown great fortitude in defending the loyal rulers of the world from a massive assualt of traitors. Leaving the killing fields littered with dead and being the only survivor of his squad it was apparent he was the only choice to lead a newly formed squad. Many times his men held onto impossible ground, costing them dearly each time. They earned the title of Bearers of Immolation due to their sacrifices in battle. Personal Wargear: Heavy bolter which has caused fear and anguish into any that cross his field of fire. He and his weapon have earned the name "Scream" due to cries of the wounded and the screams stolen from the piled dead he usually leaves after a torrent of shells. His heavy bolter was forged into the shape of a horrific monster with a gaping jaw which spews fire. Anything else I need?

Yes, technically they could, but even in the grim darkness of the 29th Millenium can you imagine an eight year old actually doing that? Can't say I'm able to. Stealing, maybe even potentially killing, perhaps. But there's only so much I can envisage youth doing.

Yeah, I'd like you to edit it as what you wrote happened hours and hours ahead of where my character is in-game, and by that time my men would've already taken the jammers out. Also, I somehow doubt you'd have gotten into the heart of the city, past the entire tank fleet, hundreds if not thousands of soldiers without being noticed.

Sounds good, though I'd prefer it if I got this whole jamming stations thing out the way first, or at least one of them. Then we'd meet under cover of night or something, and go cause some mean amount of fuckery behind enemy lines.

Old and previous maps.
Also, please remember the entire city, which would be housing millions of citizens, is surrounded by thousands of loyal, dedicated, hard as feth soldiers.
Veterans who aren't just fighting for their own lives, but also for their planet and independence. They have seen what you are made of, and they will break you given the chance.
Please go easy.
Also, the 8 pointed stars are enemy armies, ontop of the static defenders.

Below the Champion and Epistolary, equalish with the Apothecary probably. The influence of your position brings you respect and people will follow you because of that more than actual rank.

Yes but we where arguing more about if i can give actual orders or if i hold a rank that isn't really able to command.

Post by: admiral9
Yes we did. And actually i spread fear through machines thats the ultimate way for a master of the forge of the night lord i use both methods. And does anyone know about scrap code because i wanna use that on the attack on the capital. Oh and BTW most high ranking mechanicum personnel have voice harmonizers or something it means they can change the way their voice sounds. So i can change it from how it has become a brain screeching voice or i can make it a soft and gentle voice.

I don't think scrap code is used yet and it'd be very unlikely for a Marine to know about it at all. Though the priests train the tech marines, they still jealously guard many secrets from them.

Maybe replace a captured guy to a distant operated suicide bomber that is gonna report back as the only survivor and when he explodes a amplified scream of fear will be triggered.

Absolutely, though there will be plenty of time for character development as we conquer the rest of this planet.
For as some of us are already weaving hints into our posts.. there are much more sinister forces at work behind this rebellion.

Thats why i asked does the city have automated defenses because if so i need to infiltrate and do my tricks because otherwise we will most likely just simply die.

I'm in the middle of the city, off to the east somewhat at the control tower/jamming station. I'll leave it to TGN and his new-found loyalist troops to take out the other one. Until then.. you lot will still be walking into miles and miles of mined city even if you can get past those tanks.. even Marines can't see that. I suggest finding that tunnel that.. someone.. is using to get into the city. I forget who and I apologise.. still getting used to who's who here. admiral9 wrote:Thats why i asked does the city have automated defenses because if so i need to infiltrate and do my tricks because otherwise we will most likely just simply die. Not automated, manned guns and turrets along the walls and ramparts. Then a fair few hundred men amongst the city. And of course, all the men manning the trenchlines around the rest of the city facings that we're not attacking, who are of course moving to reinforce and overwhelm those at the front lines.

I had to check who you were, ah yes, the apothecary.
Be thankful your obsession with "experimenting" saved you from perishing alongside the wounded.

Well, via my last post, I am in a hidden sewage pipe just before the turnoff from the second trench to the third, heading citywards.
