The litter complaint does surprise me, I thought we'd found everything. The tables yeah I think we're in the wrong there. I think there was far too much rearranging of the tables and that whilst a small amount of moving is fine as much as went on this week is probably too much. The gum thing is pretty damn disgusting.

The litter is odd I'm sure everything was picked up also, but from now on I will stay till everyone leaves and make sure its all gone.

How about a textured spraypaint, you can get them from The Range or mark a road out on it or a path. Plasticard cut up into stone slabs.

Got the new white dwarf through the door today and i'm actually quite suprised. Its nice to the touch tbh and feels good for the money paid for it, content is much better and quite a nice battle report.

I'm not sure if i'm happy with you running a chaos cult gang, I've read the rules and a thread discussing them and their rules are both out dated and overpowered. They are based on the old redemptionist gangs which were widely excepted as being over powered. If you want to use them we can try and update them in line with the redemptionist and scavi mutants.

Diceni is a gaming event that will be held in the Forum Norwich, Norfolk on the 7th April 2013. The aim of Diceni is to promote every aspect of gaming including tabletop, card and boardgames, LARP and RPG.

I'm afraid I'm busy with Settlers of Catan.

Is anyone interested in playing Pathfinder at any point. I'm starting to get the GM itch again but don't fancy running Dark Heresy so I've picked up the pathfinder beginner box. It's a simplified version of the game designed to take players through to level 5. From a rules perspective it's essentially DnD 3.5 as it should have been.

Rather than running a narrative campaign like with Dark Heresy I was think of going with something a bit more free form. So rather than following a strict narrative, you'll spend time in a hub city/town and get missions from the locals this could be anything from killing rats in somebody's cellar to solving a murder to tracking down and killing a dragon in it's lair. I think from my point of view it should be more entertaining than reading a book and it would also allow people to drop in and out if they want a break. I'll bring it with me on Monday for those who are interested.

My Infinity table is growing by the second

So, now that me and a friend have a monstrous Ork horde topped with a Skullhamma and a huge amount of boyz, we've encountered a small problem.

Now, we have a board thats available ot us when w want to stomp some Marines, but its very bare, its got a couple of small hills at one end but thats about it, what we're mostly working off is remains of terrain I have from 2nd edition, some Ork forts I got for Gorkamorka, and a forest peice taken from a LotR set for terrain, we dont have alot, but we need more. Me especially to play my Tyranids, as its heavily infiltration based army with my Ymgarl's and Genestealers,they get absolutey murdered through lack of it. There anywhere cheap around town to get materials? Because like helllllllll am I going to pay GW prices for their terrain, I don't have a job that pays enough to meet their prices, neither do they, and they just dont have anything particularly interesting for us.
We want something where we can work on the most tight fisted budget we can for materials, but when it comes to more essential componants like materials to use for walls, that will be able to support small platforms, and allow for upwards construction of buildings. SOmething cheap, yet reliable, such as someone knowing a shop thats proper tucked out of the way, but does an amazing deal on X, while another shop is a good source of Y, and you can get Z by re-using some junk around the house that both of us have just looked straight past.

Our first few attempts at Necromunda buildings were a bit sh...well, it rhymes with the former word, because we cant even wrangle a good cardboard supply, nor a good foam source since though there is the one on the market, the bloke dont like me -_-.

I just want his brother and cousins to have a better chance with their Dark Angels, Blood Angels and Smurfs, against our strangely balanced yet massively overpowered Waagh! as we're good sports. And they moan.

im wanting to get into playing fantasy and was wondering if i could get a small game going where someone is willing to teach me how it all works, im probably gonna get a lizardmen army started pretty soon cheers

I remember your Nurgle Daemons only too well after what they did to Wesker and myself. The tally is overpowered.

As for starting fantasy, it's easy enough and I'm sure there are plently of people at the club who would be more than happy to teach you. Personally I recommend starting at around 1000 points that will get you 1 or 2 characters (ideally a wizard and a regular general style character), a few decent blocks of core troops and hopefully one or two nasty special/rare units too.

Formosa if you read this, getting 250pts out of my Aleph collection could be tricky so I might have to turn up with 200pts or 300pts but I do have some stuff in the post that if it arrives on time will give me 250pts (well 247 but that's near enough).

Sorry for the lack of a response J Knight, I'm a bit under the weather at the moment and the other members of the club board (I'm the vice treasurer) tend to be a bit too busy to check this thread on a regular basis.

We are a very active club membership does fluctuate from month to month but any given week we'll usually have around 10 to 15 people turn up. There's normally at least one game of 40k going on so getting a game shouldn't be too tricky.

Other wargames you'll regularly see being played include: Infinity, Malifaux, Warhammer Fantasy and Warmachine/Hordes. There's also a group of regular CCG players who mainly play Magic The Gathering and World of Warcraft. Finally theres an RPG group playing Deadlands once a month and I'm trying to get a Pathfinder group started.

If you do come down for a game and don't wish to immediately splash out on membership we do offer a pay and play scheme which is £3 for the evening. Membership is £10 a month.

If you need anymore information let me know and I hope I'll see you at the club on Monday.

We're always welcoming to new members and if you come down this monday you'll have picked a perfect time because we're having what I suspect will be the closest thing to a Christmas do we'll ever manage to organise. Namely a buffet and some gaming.

The most commonly played games are currently:
40k and Fantasy
Warmachine/Hordes
Infinity
Malifaux
various board games (Settlers of Catan and Zombicide seem to be the favourites)
various CCG (mostly Magic and WoW)

However a couple of us (possibly 3) are getting into Bolt Action and I'm willing to give pretty much any game a go. We do also play pen and paper RPGs but they seem to be on a bit of a backburner at the moment although I am looking into starting a Pathfinder group sometime in the new year.

EDIT: my spelling sucks!

Well I may pop down monday then! Will bring Dreadball which I can Demo and I will see what I can dive into!

I should think that dreadball will get plenty of interest.

Leon, I'll have a demo game of dreadball, see what all the hype is about. You'll probably recognise me straight away as I go down aftermath every Tuesday.

Really enjoyed Dreadball Leon, I'll definitely be grabbing a Veermyn team for myself as soon as possible. Hopefully we can get a league going.

Just had a look on firestorm games and you can get an acrylic token set on the for £8.99, plus i think i'll probably get the game after xmas.

I'd be up for a few games of Warmachine, especially since I've picked up a second battlegroup in the form of Khador.

I'm now free for the foreseeable since my Christmas job has finished.

Redwall dont know what that is!! Its a adventure with newts firing thorns as arrows, riding frogs into battle its actually quite a good read its also got a bit of newt romance in it!!

Well I'd like to get at least a couple more game in before I throw myself in to a league.

Practice league??? It dont really matter to much just want to see what the team building element is like, nothing competetive.

Well the initial team building element is fairly simple from what I've read (downloaded the free rulebook while it was available). In my case it's just 2 guards and 6 strikers, no coaching dice and 1 card. Starting a team really isn't difficult it'll be the other league rules that confuse me for a while.

I'm sure I'll be able to cope though.

BTW my team is built now, although only 1 has any paint on it.

So, who fancies playing in a 40K campaign?

The idea is to play for about 4 months, with one phase per month, 2 games per phase. Starting at 750 points, and building up 250 points per phase.

Really enjoyed Dreadball last night Leon, it was nice to at least win one game.

I would most definitely be interested in a campaign. this will be a great way to start the new year !

Well I'm up for giving Kings of War a go at some point and I'm sure that some of the other Warhammer Fantasy players wouldn't mind giving it a go at some point after all there's nothing to stop them using their existing collections in some form. I'm sure trying out Infinity and Bolt action won't be too tricky either.

Just a heads up guys sometime in the next few days I am going to be starting a new thread and asking for the mods to lock this one. Since Spanky has stepped back from his current role(s) and can't really keep an eye on this thread any more it makes sense to start a new one.

Dreadball was good fun last night Duane.

Hope everyone got home safely last night. It was tricky for me doing 25mph at most down the A11. Didn't get home until nearly 11.

Nice one. I was tempted but there was too much traffic around, and loads of foxes. Nearly hit 3 or 4 of the little buggers. I still can't believe I managed to score 6 points in the last two rushes, considering how bad my shooting had been previously to pull off those shots was a massive surprise.

Yeah we're running this week. Obviously I may have some difficulties getting in from Wymondham but I was able to get in last week.

Just a reminder for everyone, we do have a new rule in place since the start of the year and that's over 18s only. This is simply because we don't want the hassle of insurance and criminal record checks that are required to allow under 18s to join. When I finally get that new thread started I'll post it again in the first post.
