Painting some Khorne models with a Christmas theme as a commission for a friend. Did 3 of the spells so far to get into it and work the colors/bases, and did an actual model; a single hound (with antlers!) this afternoon. Pretty cool and easy to do so it should be a fun and quick project!

Finally got around to cutting foam trays for my expanding War Cry factions.

Spent the evening clearing, consolidating and packing even more stuff.

Here's proof:

Not only did I find all my unbuilt Boyz, but I could fit all of them in there along with all my Genestealer cult stuff that I haven't even looked at yet. Underneath that is my Pre-Heresy World Eater stuff, all the Custodes I found (35 in the end), so many Scouts (around 40 I think) plus the other stuff you see listed. Beneath that are Storm Ravens (and my CHS conversion kits!) some 60 Deathwatch, two Land Raiders, more bikes and other things. Underneath that is more Sector Mechanicus walkways, 14 Armoured Containers, lots of Thermic Plasma Regulators and junk piles from the Orky terrain. Under that is a box that fits all my unbuilt Eldar, Dark Eldar and Harlis. And finally a box that is 100% Primairs Marines.

This first one is mostly Sector Imperialis stuff, despite it being covered in pylons from the Landing Pad kit:

As I was going to bed I found an unopened Flash Gitz box. That'll be annoying to fit in there.

Also, because I know I'm not (completely) crazy, and I knew I had an unbuilt Baal Predator somewhere, I decided to give it one last look. Not only did I find the Baal Predator, but the box had another Venerable Dread in there. Plus with it was a box with two Drop Pods, a box with the Ironjaws Boss and a set of Brutes, 10 Blood Warriors and two Gardens of Morr sets. And I confirmed that I hadn't lost my starter set Nobz. I had actually built them all.

Okay I totally respect that organizing and packing effort. Makes my attempt at keeping everything in order look amateurish!

Played a game of LoTR this evening. Pretty good game, I might add a Dwarf army to my collection in the near future.

Also finalized my Savage Orc war band for War Cry & ordered the boyz box I'll need.

The great reorganisation continues. I'm half way through the Tyranid boxes, and naturally the first thing I found was three unopened boxes of DE Wracks.

Anyway, this is what I've found still on sprue:

Finishing up some more terrain for Warcaster. Pretty slap-dash, but I think it works well as scatter.

Airbrushed skin for megagargant, giant, kragnos and armour for like 35 ironjaws. And further progress on elves.

Found another Tyrannofex as I was organising things. Also packed up 5 Tyrannocytes.

Had to split it into several boxes as the tubs I ordered still haven't even shipped.

Finishing off all my Enclave models and starting on a Bushido Nightwing Swarm and the Outcast starter set for Malifaux

Finishing up a 5 man squad of chaos marines.

Put the finishing touches on painting my Necron tomb blades.

Writing up a 50pl Necron list for a game tomorrow.
Very strongly considering throwing a Monolith into it just for the shock & awe I know it'd cause my opponent (they've never seen one actually used)

Cleaning, clearing and consolidating continues. I've basically got all my random crap into boxes, just waiting for those tubs.

I now have 3 big 'boxes of shame' that are filled with all sorts of things still in their boxes.

Managed to find and get all my AdMech together. They should be fun to build:There's an extra 20 Skitarii, an Enginseer and a Manipulus in there as well.

My friend really likes the Scions of the Flame cultists.
Nice models. But they are NOT competitive with what I've made & suffered two extreme (though narratively humorous) losses.
Game #3 - when he used one of my rosters (Seraphon) was a much more even game.

This time it is the turn of Sepulchral Guard.

Tonight's project is building some random stuff from the backlog.

Magnetized 30 Witch Elves, 20 Repeater Crossbows as well as 20 Handgunners for my Empire army.

I also just had an idea pop into my head for a Gnoll Warband. I have a bunch of reaper Bones Gnolls as well as an old Chainmail one and I picked up a Nolzurs blister of them as well. Not sure where I'm going with this idea but we'll see.

Worked on 10 brutes, 2 warchanters, shaman and finished weathering and started working on bases for previous orruks. Once group 2 donn all but mawkrusha done on 2k list.

Painting a D&D sorcerer for my son and going kruelboyz crossbowmen.
Then packing for my 'gaming night' at FLGS tomorrow evening which involves me spending 3-4 hours solidly painting there without distractions.

Did some painting for the 1st time in ages on my Gaunt's Ghosts. Just base coated their Cameleoline Cloaks and painted Rawne's eyebrows, which made me accidentally get a little paint in his right eye which made him suddenly have a pupil, looked pretty good so I took the plunge and did his left one too. Pretty happy with how he's going so far. Tried Gaunt's eyes but fethed up his right one as it's had to access. Should've painted their heads before glueing them on as I did with my Shadow Warrior leader (whose head to blue tacted on so I can paint it easier later)

1) Hoping that it's not pouring rain again come afternoon as I've got a whole bunch of stuff in need of a base coat & don't like to spray inside.
(update: Looks very likely that I'll be disappointed)

2) Probably playing something down at the shop in the evening.

Finished up Myari's Purifiers yesterday and took some photos. Still getting used to my new camera and I forgot my tripod back at my parents' place.

I managed to finish a voxcaster, and a regular trooper that had been in my pile of shame 12 years or more! I call that progress.

Picked up a khaki plush fleece for an old west battlemap and put some Reaper Bones Savage Worlds and OOP Deadlands mini's on it to test the balance! The metal figures had smaller bases, so tended to fall over

Did a bit of work on my Solitare then decided on a whim to work on the bases of my Eldar and Harlequins. I see why I was so hesitant to do it it's pretty tedious, but got through a lot of it. Perhaps finishing basing them will make me move on and assemble and paint more of my backlog. Been in GW a few times looking at the Harlequin HQs in particular, but made myself think of what I've already gotta do from my backlog, so don't need more minis and that's made me not buy anything more since I bought the Shadow Warriors for my Warcry warband.

I finished magnetizing and completing the movement trays for my Dark Elf army. Or atleast this roughly 1600pts of it. I still have 20 Executioners and a few random Corsairs and Dark Riders. I dont have enough to make full units with them yet but I'll slowly get them once I find lots online that are worth it.

This army is one I am most proud of as I do have a 2000 point list out of it and the whole thing only cost me 180 bucks. Lucky bidding online and a bunch of boxes I got for free at GW events let this happen.



Now to work on that Gnoll Warband I had an Idea about.

I've primed a steampunk forge and 20 3d printed trees, some of them almost 20cm tall and very gloomy.

Four weeks into our current 40k Crusade & I've reached the point where I have to consolidate & transcribe my paperwork into something legible....
Too many notes/#s on too many pieces of paper.

And then I get to create a lv.13 Pathfinder character!

I'll finish the evening off by building another ogre for Warcry (this time a pirate man-eater)

Trying to finish up the Survivors from the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare starter set so I can do the bases on them and the creatures I've already finished (Feral Ghouls, Deathclaw and Dogmeat) and working on King Shark for Batman to add to my Suicide Squad

Yes! Finally finished base painting the bases of my Eldar with Wraithbone as it depicts my Eldar of Craftworld Dalorsia battling Slaaneshi invaders including Emperor's Children with Lucius the Eternal among them I wrote a fanfic years ago about it. One of the highlights being a few squads of War Spiders teleporting inside a Chaos Titan to kill its crew and detonate its power source from the inside. I think next time I'm going to paint on the debris on the bases then undercoat them with Wraithbone spray separately so I don't have to spend so much time painting them manually. I've got some.

Summer vacation continues with painting humans, gobbos and squigs

Just went over the bases of my Eldar with Seraphim Sepia shade ink on the Wraitbone base paint. Ready to be dry brushed with Terminus Stone sooner or later. Feeling into it might assemble and paint my Howling Banshees next.

Instead of doing prep for my True Detective vs the Mythos session (which is tomorrow), I Dry brushed my Eldar bases with Terminus Stone, doing one coat over all of them and the 2nd coat on two of my squads of Dire Avengers. Also rebased my old metal Autarch with Sweeping Hawk wings, power sword and fusion pistol (although he isn't holding it) To make him in line with the newer plastic Autarch. I'm happy with how they're looking.

Starting on the last things I need to finish off my stuff for Fallout (Super Mutants) and Malifaux Bayou

Mostly finished basing my "finished" Eldar so far took these photos while True Detective playing in the background lol, they're blurry as feth, though didn't seem like that when I took them, my bad. The trio of Autarchs in the middle I have two of them named, Autarch Valkian Aralian, leader of the Dalorsian special forces and on the jetbike is Master-Autarch Raloth Arlyandor the overall leader of the army, he's the general I guess and their Harlequin allies.

Assembling my three remaining Howling Banshees without instructions (which I know are somewhere around here, but I'm too lazy to look for them lol) there are so many parts per model it isn't funny, it's not like with my old Dire Avengers when I could go in and just put them together willy nilly, gotta think it through. A pretty fun challenge.

Spent the evening down at the shop erasing an opponents misconception that Necrons are a weak army in current 40k.

Finished the last of my Fallout minis and started on a few models to finish off some keywords in Bayou for Malifaux. Alphonse LeBlanc is done and with him Wizz-Bang, just need to finish off the LaCroix Raiders

Today, I've bought the new GK codex and the corresponding cards, and the newest WD of course.

Tonight will be spent assembling the new Kill Team box.

Had a session of my Rogue Trader campaign, where finally the PCs managed to finish a huge battle we've been getting through for numerous sessions. After that, I began finally assembling my Guardian Defenders, going for some fun poses with the ones crewing the weapons platforms. I also started making my Wraithlord the one in my bitz draw. I have no clue how I got my hands on it. It's pretty cool 'cause I have two Wraithlords now, having got another from the Start Collecting Box. My Eldar force is going to be pretty big sooner or later, indeed!

Sooo many bitz in the new Kill Team box...

Built the Orks last night, some of the Krieg this evening, & tomorrow evening will finish them. Then base coat sometime this week.
The terrain? While cool, it isn't a super high priority since we've got plenty already.

Finished a goblin shaman conversion. His ''scary 'and'' comes form the Northmen Folks Rabble kit, and his ''ooman skull'' is from the Oathmark skellies.

More assembly of my Guardian Defenders and Wraithlord. Also began pinning the Wraithlord's shoulder mounts and one of the weapons platforms. It was a nice day, so I should've primed some of my models, but I didn't, oh well.

On my end, working on some of my Thousand Sons stuff, I glued the missiles on the terminator now that they are worth it. I green stuffed the Spawns that needed it in preparation to paint them soon hopefully. Also fiddling with my Converted Daemon Prince, going back and forth about giving him a sword or not (gameplay-wise I want it, model wise it's a bit more complicated xD).

Got my assembledish Eldar minis a-ready for a sprayin' with my Chaos Black primer and the bases with Wraithbone. But ran out of black about half the way through which was going to happen soon, but can't go into town and buy more due to us in NZ being in lockdown. All this while listening to DARK ADVENTURE RADIO THEATRE! By The HP Lovecraft Historical Society. They've done a couple based on Call of Cthulhu RPG campaigns. The best being the Brotherhood of the Beast which was based off The Fungi of Yuggoth campaign.

Tonight I painted up* my 2nd mini of 2021 - a D&D harpy.
I might add a few more details prior to game night.
As she's become an important npc & is often involved in encounters, a mini was needed. A Harpy was the closest I could come to a Pathfinder Strixt.

*as in fully painted, not just a quick base-coat.

Quite a lot more work on my Howling Banshees and a little bit on my Way Cry Shadow Warriors. And speaking of Shadow Warriors I'm going to convert an Autarch with Swooping Hawk wings, fusion pistol and power sword using the spare bare male head from the Shadow Warriors box, setting that up and it might work quite well.

Sorta off-topic, but I also decided the date I'm going to self-publish my novel The Angaran Chronicles: The Underside on Amazon. The 1st of November, so yeah, happy about that!

Finished my Dragon Cult Acolytes except for bases, and did a bit of work on the Blood Bowl Rat Ogre which I've now set aside to paint marines for Kill Team instead

Tonight is my Kill Team Orks turn to get assembled.

More work on my Shadow Warriors and Sisters of Avelorn. I don't know where I'm taking the Sisters exactly, but they're looking okay, kinda regret priming them light grey, in all honesty. A little more on my Howling Banshees dry brushing their...manes? And a couple of other things.

Also, trying to prep for my next session of True Detective vs The Cthulhu Mythos tomorrow. My brain's feels like its leaking out my ears a bit from it, though.

There's some mold lines on the Krieg, sure, but nowhere near as bad as the orks. On the Krieg the most noticeable ones are on the torsos & lower leg/torso piece. Other pieces have some, but it'll depend upon how picky you are.

There's some mold lines on the Krieg, sure, but nowhere near as bad as the orks. On the Krieg the most noticeable ones are on the torsos & lower leg/torso piece. Other pieces have some, but it'll depend upon how picky you are.

Oh, I am very picky when it comes to the mould lines but I am fighting this illness Thanks for the info!

Just finished a set of Craters and Open Graves for an upcoming Warmachine & Hordes tournament.

Grave names are blurry to avoid recognition amongst the general public who can read Sulese, Khadoran, Iosan, Cygnaran or Cryxian runes.

Working on converting an old mushroom container from the grocery store into a Salamanders chapter barracks. It’s a bit more... cramped than I had hoped, but the pattern at the bottom makes for a passable roof.

I’d like to try using a couple of soup cans for a watchtower, but I’m having a bit of trouble figuring out how to style it. Acrylic paint works fine on plastic, but I don’t think it will fare quite as well on metal.

Trying to prep for my Rogue Trader session tomorrow, finding it a bit hard due to being tired as frig.

Stripping some paint off of some old Chaos Dwarf minis I've had packed away for....oh gosh, years now. Getting ready to base and magnetize them.

Well, today I move to a new state to start a new life. There is only one game store in like 400 miles of where I'm moving so I'm trying to find someone to sell my still on sprue army of 40k models and then focus on my art.

Organizing sales. Damn I bit quite a lot deciding to unload no less than 8 armies at once.

Good thing I started taking excel sheet for what everybody wants and what we have agreed for. Otherwise this would be impossible

One plus side is I should get most done f2f by organizing mass meeting in one place so the 100km one way becomes quite feasible way over post(and saves me headache. I don't really fancy idea of packing stompa for example...gorkanaut will alone be quite a headache. And thank god I found f2f sale for necron pylon!)

Built a frostgrave archipelago crewman to add to my pulp alley league. Also cleaned out a plastic tray for cookies and mod podged the interior in hopes of painting it up for sci-fi terrain.

Basically just need remnants of necrons plus slaanesh and seraphon armies get rid of and operation completed. Selling 8 armies at once was bit of a nightmare especially as they weren¨t organized well and most sold in pieces.

Cant wait for my bed room and kitchen be freed from this unholy mess of models and boxes While this is going on I cant remove my gaming table(need that table space) and while I cant remove that I cant replace near dead lamp so my bed room is bit dim!

Finished our 1st session of 1-shot PF adventure.
This one I fear is going to be a painfull grind as it's a lv.13 adventure run by a DM who;
• isn't great at descriptions,
• doesn't use a map/minis,
•can barely parse a stat block,
•and doesn't even know what basic lv.0/lv.1 spells do.....

Other than that I need to build another 4 kill team orjs sometime here over the next 23 hours.

Doing a lot of prep for the next session of my True Detective vs The Mythos campaign. Feeling this is a pretty good scenario and right now I'm writing down the...description of the final monster thingy the PCs are going to fight as the final boss and...I really don't know where I get the ideas for these things from. Gross.

There are always some mould lines missed previously - the truth I have found today on 3 skellies.

I have a metal LOTR Balrog I bought years ago that's been half done for ages now. Decided I finally wanna finish it. There are some problems though.

I managed to strip as much paint as I could off the piece and it has some pretty bad gaps I have to fill. In addition the plastic wings are damaged so I'll have to sculpt new bits on them.
So I drilled out the broken bit and put in paper clip which I will be using as a base to sculpt the Balrogs wing tip. I'll also have to do a once over and make sure I got all the mold lines and get off whatever extra paint I still can before I prime it.

Yay! The KT orks are built & primed in time for the league to start.

As play progresses week to week they'll (hopefully) be earning proper paint jobs.

Working on tidying up an Arkurian Shadowblade.

Sadly it came to me through the loss of a friends friend, its an old as time full resin cast FW model and a lot of it had chunks of flash left in places, poor fitting parts and others outright coming away.

I hope to do it a service and make it somewhat of a memorial piece.

Well, two orks earned themselves some paint in our 1st KT game. Just wasn't the two I'd have expected.

Double-knife boy took down a CSM Nurgle champion & the one lugging a power ram jumped a Nurgle-SM armed with a flail - and simply obliterated him.
So sometime this week I'll paint their skin.

There is a certain satisfaction gained from saving poorly painted/maintained/constructed models. I hope that tank ends up being as beautiful as it deserves to be.

I know how i want it to come out , though i dont have experience in the department on weathered/dirty IG tanks , fortunately ive taken to the idea of enlarging my DKoK and using my Sororitas as more of a bolster than a sole force alone as i always liked that about them since 2nd ed. Ive got a couple Leman Russ & 3 Chimera's to practise on with extra crafty bits like netting / dried grass tufts for desert camo ( Armageddon themed force)

I happened across this tank commander on the net tonight which i believe is discontinued & a recast but would make a nice touch i think, given the hatch isnt glued.

Im not the worlds greatest painter, far from the best , but far from the worst , the new contrast paints are odd to get used to as ive not been in the hobby for the past 6 years+

This finally arrived.
So for the next few days I'll be figuring out how to play it, how to add the various expansions, etc.

Finished my Perdita crew, just need to get photos of them now. Some more work on my Blood Bowl Rat Ogre so I just need finishing touches tomorrow, then I start on my Kill Teams (Marines first, then Genestealer Cult)

Finished a bigger hill, so now I have a passable set of fantasy terrain.

I was not happy with the previous hand for my goblin shaman so gave him a new, more stabby one (made from a part taken from the Conquest Mountain Jotnar kit). I think it is more in line with goblin character = go behind your rival/foe and stab him to death.

Drove 7h car trip delivering sold models for about 18 guys. Looong trip. And forgot some models so need to ship them...ugh

Yep I love rescued models, love doing it myself. This one is a good reason to give it a second life!

As for me, I finished painting the Khorne Skull Altar to fit the little Christmas project a friend commissioned me with. Now working on the last few pieces of the project, namely doing Christmas hat for the Bloodletters, and converting a Bloodthirster a bit to make it look more festive!

Got this HeroQuest setup of the first quest with Archon's "Dungeons and Lasers" game tiles. You can build this with the entry-level Village Pledge. You can still late pledge at the same prices as KS backers.

Thats really sweet looking! Much better then my attempt to build Heroquest dungeon using Dwarf Forge tiles.

Trying bits of Cork on bases, the intention is to use it with some rough resin + pumice mix round the edges and some of the self cracking citadel base paints for that armageddon wasteland feel.

Painting a 15mm scale well, tent, store hut and ruined house; to make a "built up area" for ancients and medieval wargaming.

Got a bit done last night, watched a video about uhh line shading? and it inspired me to give it a go. Did a bit on my Attelus Kaltos Hero Forge mini and Azakir Halgriv. And began to highlight my Howling Banshees. Gettin' there slowly. I hoping to do a lot more before my Amazon orders arrive. Get some of my backlog done!

More work on the small bunch of Minotaurs I have. The tactical marine kill team is done, now I'm working on all the special characters and a couple veterans to finish them off

1) Played game #2 in the shops Kill Team league this evening.
I'm now less impressed with this new version than I was during the 1st match, which was itself less than when I gave it the initial read through....

2) I'm also looking into how to make the Tau effective when our winter Crusade come about January.

Here's Attelus so far. I'm happyish with him lol. Need to fix the lines on his "shirt" which is meant to be his bodyglove among a few other things.

Well, I've primed my 4th NDK.

Hacking some more terrain together. Vertigus box buildings done, only the pipes remain. Found out to my delight that the duplicate sprues which come with the kit can be put together in (at least) two ways, so ended up with 4 individual looking pieces instead of 2 duplicated ones!

Also found my misplaced Tau fire teams

Gotta build a Doomstalker - just in time for it to help crush the final opponent in our Crusade league.

So I've been working on a very rare Airfix kit, a 1/48 scale TSR-2, essentially a British Mach 3 nuclear bomber.

Take Concorde and slap on a couple of nukes, you get the idea.

Managed to get hold of a set of photo-etch detail parts for the cockpit. I would be very surprised indeed if there were any left in the entire UK.

Spent a fair bit of time this evening putting some of it together, the complexity in it leaves me wanting to get back on with my Tau and Thousand Sons.



Here we can see the pilot and co-pilot consoles, with a Rubric Marine for scale. The console on the left consists of around 6 individual brass layers, some of which have been folded to shape. There are around 3 more layers to add, not the job for anyone who gets the shakes. The instructions below show the how complicated it can be.



Once it's finished the rough edges at the bottom won't be visible, but the detail you can get out of this is pretty stunning.

I based 5 marauder horsemen with flails. I based 5 more marauder horsemen with spears. I've just got to finish painting the riders. I re-based a bunch of models that fell off their bases, mainly the lunging knight models. I'm assembling some Varanguard too. I finished and based a Khorne Demon Prince. I painted some Tzeentch banners too. Slaves to Darkness are pretty fun with 3.0. Tzeentch appears to be one of the stronger marks in the new edition. Only items left are Archaon and a manticore lord to assemble and I'm complete.

A bit more fixing on Attelus, high lighted his pants and a few other things.

Basically finished two old metal Eldar Wraitguard. Starting the next two.

Reworking a terrain made previously.

A bit more work on my Banshees, they're looking slowly but surely better. Been spending the day working on my advertising campaign for my self published novel.

Stripping paint off of some Dark Elf models and trying to find time to Modge podge some foam terrain I built on the weekend.

Primed a bunch of nighthaunt and finished a Wraithblade squad.

Working on two old metal Eldar Wraitguard. The last two and then I can field two units of five or one of ten.

After GMing, a session of my Pulp Cthulhu campaign (which went well, had fun) and earlier today knuckled down and did more painting of my Howling Banshees. I bought some red shade paints and that made a bit of a difference and they might be closeish to completion. I decided I don't want to have any metallics on them, dunno why exactly. Just for something different I suppose lol

Had my first game of AoS yesterday and it was a lot of fun, so similar to 40k yet feels very different.

Also cracked on with my war walkers, nearing completion after a decade!

Finished all four of the old metal Eldar Wraitguard, painted and sealed.

I feel you. I haven't even gotten very far in the rule book yet. We need to just put it on the table and stumble through over here.

Building some stuff from the misc bin.
This time it's the Lumineth & Slannesh figures from Direchasm that I kept from an auction lot awhile back.

I got quite a lot done on my Howling Banshees today, but just realised my colour scheme is sorta kinda like McDonald's lol

Got a RoB Sector Imperialis board set and spent the afternoon mucking about with my terrain collection.

Attached is a rendition of the board, made by the famous painter Gev Drixon, who succumber to madness in his later years and spent the rest of his life locked away in an Administratus Psycologicae institution.

Painting and my way through 30 wargames atlantic halflings(my archers). And weathering a victoria miniatures kangaroo and hopefully painting the details on a chimera based fire support vehicle.

Putting together some new Kruleboyz kits. Already did Gobsprakk and the multi part Gutrippaz yesterday, onto Skumdrekk and the Sloggoth today.

Painting my fourth NDK as a GM.
Makes my GK army fully painted.

Just got my Kill Team 2: Electric Boogaloo Octarius box set today and been testing and planning my conversion of the Death Korps of Krieg with my Cadian box set with blu tac. I've decided I'm going to use the Cadian arms on the Krieg torsos and Krieg arms on the Cadian torsos and it seems it could work with a little shaving and green stuff. It's also not hard to place the Cadian heads on the Krieg torsos with a little shaving. The Cadian arms seem to fit better on the Krieg torsos than vice versa which doesn't surprise me at all.

I'm making them a rag-tag bunch of veterans, survivors from separate squads from two different regiments joining forces after being separated from their regiments, working together behind enemy lines as guerillas. That'll also allow me to have the options of all the different specialists. I'm feeling quite inspired, indeed!

Working on my GSC for Kill Team, will likely be finished everything except for skin and bases tonight

The next several days will be spent speed painting a bunch of pirate minis for our fast approaching D&D game.
I need to get about 50 figures (or as many as possible) done in 2 -3 days.
Fortunately I'm not aiming at Golden Demon quality, just tabletop & it's really so that individual crew will be easier to ID during play than if I'd just left them grey base-coated.

After many years of saying it's silly, I have been (gently) persuaded to make a display board.

Finished off the Neophyte Hybrids for Kill Team/Necromunda, started working on the Acolytes

Finally got the rest of my Guardian squad and Wraithlord primed as well as their weapons. Eisenhorn, too, underneath his cloak which I had to take him off the base to spray there (meaning I dropped him by mistake not once but twice, Emperor curse whoever was the genius who made Eisenhorn Failcast) Then I stuck him together with liquid super glue which worked 1000x better.

Put up basing goo(stirland's 2 versions) to bunch of kruleboyz so they are at least that much more completed for today's game. Also assembled AOS terrain. Goal is to get all that I bought(extremis starter set, expansion and old shattered temple) painted up for tournament I run on 23.10 to add more variety to board looks.

So far I've got almost 20 pirates painted to a decent standard for Thursdays D&D game.

The target was 50, but 40 will suffice for the moment and I've got a few pre-painted piratey types mixed in. So roughly 14 more to go.....
Fortunately a good # of the remaining ones are just generic guys mostly from Blood & Plunder packs, not character types/NPC importance - so skin wash, basic clothing & weapons. Maybe pick out some detail.

Lookin' very kewl, dude!

I sat at my desk and decided I'd finally finish my Howling Banshees, and, well, I didn't I did get a lot down. I saw that one of my Banshees had black in the indents of her strapping, I thought it looked pretty cool so began painting black into all the strapping indents. With...mixed results. They still all look a lot better, sorta cartoony, makes me wonder if I should line shade all of Eldar with black, might make it a "theme" I did it with one of my Guardians and it looks okay. Might look better with brighter, lighter colours, ironically. Also base painted their power swords. That, and a few other things. Might try to finish them tomorrow and base paint my Guardians and Wraithlord too!

Made a banshee/pessessed, using torso from a female villager from the Northmen Folk Rabble and arms/head from the female Frostgrave wizard.

Only a bit done on my Banshees today. base coated their guns and hilts of swords and the Exarch's glaive. Mostly been working on promoting my novel and researching about doing that.

Writing up a few l ast minute notes for tonight's D&D game.

And realizing that I don't have a foam tray for the 40 pirate minis I just spent 3 days painting up. :(

Began painting the powerfields on the swords of my Banshees, they look okay. I don't think I thinned down the paint with Lahmian Medium as much as the almighty, Duncan Rhodes instructed. Now I must perform my self-flagellation in repentance. Twenty, for that, is ten times the number of the holy number, two thin coats! Two thin coats! May He one day forgive my transgression! lol

Finishing bases on my GSC Kill Team and starting on Guild Ball Alchemists

finishing up a reaper bones dwarf king on throne i've had kicking around for a while and a mantic figure i think will end up an rpg figure.

other then that, i'm trying to think of something terrain related i might want to try making, but so far i'm drawing a blank

Painting KT Orks.

This afternoon my KT Orks finally succeeded in earning thier paint. They took down 4/5 Intercisors, accomplished their spec ops, & won the vp race by a decent margin.
The MVP of the game was absolutely Dakka Ork (the one with the 3 barrel gun). He was on fire with doling out the crits.


So tonight I start actually painting the Boyz.
The goal is to have the squad finished by the next game.

In the last two weeks, for my Ad Mech force I have finished:

* a Marshall,
* a full 10-strong squad of Rust Stalkers,
* a mix of 25 Rangers and Vanguard,
* and two Skorpius kits assembled to create two of each variant - no magnets, just friction-fit, but very effectively done IMO.

These have all been primed in my chosen base-color.

Tomorrow I begin constructing two units of 5 Pteraxii Sterylizors - am magnetizing so the built minis can be removed from their stands for easier storage and transport.

These are the last additions to my force, a long time coming due to constraints of work and home-life. I'm very pleased, and am excited for the detailed painting to commence.

Re-basing my KT orks onto 0-20 life counters from Litko....
I picked these up at the shop the other day to track my boyz wounds - and then realized part way through the game that they're 32mm(?) & almost a perfect match height-wise to the GW bases!

Just have to give the top pieces a quick base coat, attach orks, continue painting as planned, and my orks will soon be sporting Heroclicx style bases.

Just got my Kill Team 2: Electric Boogaloo Compendium and my 2nd box of Harlequins for my Kill Team today, and since, I've been planning how to build my new six Harlies. I'm frigging glad I got the Compendium before I began assembling them due to the fact I can only have two Gunner Harlequins, lol, and most of my Harlies in my old Kill Team were Gunners. I do like me some WYSIWYG.

Assembled some Dreads on the weekend, today probably going to base and prime them.

Built 5 Fenrisian doggies.

I had a fun session of Pulp Cthulhu and had fun. Afterwards, I began setting up my new Harlequins. Assembling is perhaps my favourite part of making minis, I like trying to give them dynamic, fun poses. I've assembled my Troupe Master, wanted to have him leaning over about to spring forwards, but the head wouldn't tilt back far enough, so I used some green stuff to push it up more. I'm happy with him so far! Can't wait to play Kill Team 2: Electric Boogaloo with them.

Built some beastmen.

Working on my Ridgerunner and priming my Ratcatcher's Guild for Guild Ball. Also had my Gencon order from Wyrd arrive so I assembled everything from it before putting it back in a box to paint at some future time

•Painting up the last 4 "named" npc pirates for our D&D game.
•Painting 2 of the players figures as well.
Should be able to get 5.5 figures (ones a gnome mini - soo tiny - one or two flicks of the brush....) done in 7 days.

Figuring out what color my guns should be. Using black/jade green/orange and blue-white as base colors for the figure leaves surprisingly few colors to use on the gun and not blend into the model holding it.

Assembled 20 gutrippas, 3 annihilators, swamp shaman, painted bit of terrain and ironjaws bits and did complete cleaning of airbrush that seems to have cleared it up.

Finished some dinosaurs

Mostly assembled my Harlequins just gotta stick on their arms next.

Display board is coming along nicely.

Worked on a Delaque conversion of a Heavy (as it was a duplicate and had no weapon or backpack).

Primed some terrain.

I finished up a little 3D printed cinematic...thing...that I bought for my Tau.

Update: tried finding a source of Heavy Gear 2-player starter in Europe. Mission failed successfully, the only shops I could find were US or UK and the shipping/fees basically double the price.

Hit the Beach FoW starter just arrived, and my bits and walkers for Flames of '47 next week.

I played it using only the rulebook and some spare bases forever ago when Blitz first came out. I enjoyed it, but at that time never bought into it, and now it seems what little presence it had in europe completely disappeared. Annoying, but I guess I have Btech as fallback option still (I think the mechs look less cool, but at least they're available!)

Sally 4th's "Rising Tides" Spy-Fi KS recently started, so I thought I'd give 'em a shout since I backed a previous project of theirs.

Got some preview models to paint, although the sewers are from Archon's "Dungeons and Lasers" KS.

KS includes a freakin' submarine dock, speedboats, submersible car, Soviets, and attractive CIA agent.

Organizing my craft room after moving two years ago. Getting paints organized, basing material put in usable containers, and clearing a large section of the makeshift desk to allow for painting projects to proceed.

Built two lizardmen from WGA and painted my first one as a test of color scheme.

Finished assembling my Harlequins. Looking at the stats in Kill Team 2: Electric Boogaloo I don't think there's much reason to take a Harlequin's Blade or Harlequin's Caress, even a Harlequin's Kiss seems pretty pointless compared to an Embrace. Kisses would be good, maybe against seven wound enemies like IG but only with a crit.

My favourite Harlequin is one that looks like he's boinging up and down while chasing after someone. I'll take photos later and post them here.

Finished my Ratcatcher's Guild and with it all of Guild Ball, except for the goal and terrain piece from the set which I'm working on now

Playing aos games, airbrushing blood drinkers and putting them to new bases discovering in the process gw made my death company illegal while i wasn't looking. Gee thanks

Finally managed to finish the last two pieces in a terrain commission. Why is badlands terrain so much harder to do than urban terrain???

Finished 1 of the 3 pirates & discovered that I'd somehow overlooked two others.
So now I've got 4 pirates to paint in 3 days.....

Primed a mountain jotnar.

Did quite a bit, went to finish my last almost finished Harlequin from my first box. But then I did some work on my Gaunt, then on a whim did quite a bit more on my Vindicare Assassin and I'm very quite happy with him so far.

Accidentally kinda made him look a bit like this version except with red straps.

Just did the final stretch for these (howdah crew and sealing the bases)

Painting terrain for my tournament. Deadline is next week's friday.

After the jotnar I thought why not prime some more minis from my pile of shame? So I did fernisian wolves, ghouls, skellies, and goblins.

Going to start on some of my old metal Necromunda for the Monthly Painting Challenge.

1st games tomorrow afternoon & I've got it narrowed down to Slaves To Darkness or Chaos Dwarves.

Spray painted 4 buildings for my Batman terrain, just need detailing to finish but I'm also working on clearing my King's Empire for The Other Side as quickly as possible to tabletop standard. Halfway through 4 units today, aiming to get them done so I can start working on the special stuff
