Snarflesnort, a member of The Spanish Inquisition, is hiding in Attrill Bank.
I still recommend the Custard Museum as a better target, but some of you might be closer to Attrill. Just keep in mind that a bank is dark unless the humans have a generator running.
Human statue at Shaft Grove, name of "Dlinebaugh".
I softened him up a bit, down to 20hp - anyone want to finish him off?
I'd like to kill him myself, but I'm out of AP, and I'd rather one of you guys gets him than let him escape!

It's like Smokey and the Bandit here, but with killin', an' no cars or police chases or Sally Field.......well that's my excuse for talking like this anyway.

Bah, I just realized he is on our side! Bah. Dose that count as a kill? If not I will take him for the free chicken (Unless he says otherwise) and let you guys get on with the hunt.
You are inside the Custard Museum, its collection of cubist sculpture ransacked by looters. The doors to the street have been left wide open. Also here are LVH Lew (60HP), Damon Delacroix (60HP), Sister Rita (51HP), Ulysses Demonshatter (60HP), Ryuunosuke (50HP), Mimi Plastique (60HP), Dawn Davenport (60HP), Oldscumdog (60HP) and RedeyeSy (50HP).
A portable generator has been set up here. It is out of fuel, and connected to a powered-down radio transmitter. One room of the museum has been cleared, for the display of eight cubist sculptures, a headless statue and two cracked sculptures.
Somebody has spraypainted MDK's Secret Cheese Eatin' Get Away onto a wall.
Sister Rita writhes in your grip. Your attack does no damage.

I killed Sister Rita in Custard, but in the process of figuring out how to screenshot with my phone, the page refreshed and the kill text was lost forever. Bromsy or TheDiscoSpider may be able to confirm it.
We got kicked out, but Damon and the rest should still be in there.

Bromsy or TheDiscoSpider, can you see Shaax's kill of Sister Rita on your Urban Dead screen? I don't need a pic if you can simply verify that he made the kill.

I have been in multi story ones and there isnt a jump out of building button anywhere
You just have to enter a building, usually the ones marked as "The ____ Building" (such as Buckett, etc.) and it should give you the option to jump out of the window (it'll be near your attack menu)
However, I highly recommend offering yourself up for a sacrifice to lower level zombies who do not yet have skills such as Lurching Gait or Neck Lurch. (and if you yourself lack Lurching Gait, I suggest travelling to your destination via human form, which takes much less AP, and then having someone kill you when you get there)
Yes: either the Scent Blood zombie skill, which comes after Scent Fear, or the Diagnosis survivor skill. Unfortunately none of us inside have those yet.
The exertions of the day have numbed your clouded brain. You stand where you were, swaying slightly.
You maul Dawn Davenport for 2 damage. They drop to 25 HP.
Ripe to be finshed, I'm spent
Automatically Appended Next Post: You are lying outside the Custard Museum, a small yellow-stone building with stern gargoyles along its guttering. The building has been heavily barricaded - you can see no way to enter.

There are five dead bodies here. You recognise Rockie Piggo, Shaax and M'kar amongst them.
Since your last turn:
Mimi Plastique began to rebuild the barricades, using a chair. (41 minutes ago)
Mimi Plastique killed a zombie with a pistol. (40 minutes ago) ...and another. (38 minutes ago)
Dawn Davenport revivified you with a NecroTech syringe. (37 minutes ago)

I think if we are going to hit the Custard, we need to do it in one big wave.
Eldercaveman wrote: I think if we are going to hit the Custard, we need to do it in one big wave.
Exactly.
I think we're getting too stretched out and incoherent as a group: zombies need to work in groups to be successful and we're not really doing that at the moment. Working as a horde is how we took Shyar and Gelasius in the first place, and our organisation is one of the Nurgling's biggest strengths.
I feel we generally need to start working together again: focussing on certain targets (e.g. Custard) before swaying in valuable harman buildings to recover AP (e.g. Shyar).

I know I'm a noob to all this, but it seems to me everything jumping around town, to get to the latest reported spot, is using all our AP and by the time we are there and break down the barricade, it is all so disjointed we just get picked off, would we not be better off moving around more like a plague of locust?

You're largely right, IMHO.
Attacking the latest reported spot etc. is a key part (and personally one of my favourites), but even then we need to focus on certain areas (such as Northern, as opposed to the entirety, of Vinetown) and keep working together. The plague of locusts is the classic (and most effective IMHO) zombie tactic and the key to cracking heavily populated targets.
Basically, both work, but require unification still (no matter how un-zombie it may seem, zombies need to be more organised than the harmans).
At the moment though, we're losing ground and they could probably take Shyar right now if they tried. Which is why I think we need to start getting more cohesive again.
Although its just for fun, the hunt is not conducive to the Nurgling's attacking as a coordinated whole.
I confess to having not contacted the rest of Team Rotten except here, which might make it more feasible. As it is I can not see how we could get into Custard/wherever without 6-12 zeds and do enough damage before they activate?
By the way free chicken @ Attrill Bank. Brains McVee and Kay VanRaven already on scene.
When I get up tomorrow morning, would someone be so kind as to infect me, and kick my ass down to about 6-7 HP? I feel like parachuting into Custard or Gelassius and surprising Sister Rita again. I know she loves it when I drop in for a bite.
/terrible puns
I'll announce my intent on their radio and then try to Feeding Drag her into the street before I finish her off, just for additional dramatic flair.
I know I'm a noob to all this, but it seems to me everything jumping around town
Agreed. I was having more fun when we were focused on a few things. This current hunt or whatever should be over soon enough then we'll get back to storming places.
Three Talkies in Club Atill. The door is open. Baked Monkey at 24 HP.

I don't know if anyone watched BBCThree's In The Flesh? It was pretty meh but worth a watch and it has potential if they they decide to bring it back for a full series.
I bring it up because Channel 4 are bringing in this French show, in June I think, called The Returned(Les Revenants). It's based on a film of the same name, or They Came Back as it is called in English. It looks like solid drama which just happens to be set during a take on the zombie story. In my experience this tends to be the best way to deal with 'veryfiction' so it could be one to look out for. Thankfully they are going to show it in it's native French with subtitles so it shouldn't really lose anything from it's original format. Anyway, I thought a few folk might be interested but I won't derail us any further, here is the trailer:
And I spanked a harman outside Gel earlier. If anyone successfully proves it with a screen cap they can have the point for their team.

Warmie propaganda that!
Sorry I might be having a slow day but I have no idea what warmie propaganda is, or a what a warmie is for that matter.
Google suggested that you meant wartime, pushed for a better answer it thought you may believe global warming is a myth. Further interrogation suggests that you may be experiencing genital flushing linked to sexual arrousal. I'm none the wiser.
Revived in Pegton, infiltrated Maver, busted the genny, infected the single harman within and chewed it for a while. Graffiti indicates "Taverner Towers ENTRY POINT."
Even small zed teams (4-5) can be very effective if they hang together. That's how RFF runs its various subgroups, for example. I'd recommend that the Kill Teams do this, coordinating either ITT or via PM, while the Fox Hunt is on for maximum enjoyment.
AgeOfEgos wrote: Yeah, it seems initially (I know I'm a new Zed!)--I just use all my AP wandering around, smack a barricade then sleep.
Damn true. I went too far from the others and now I am stuck in front of this factory smashin cades...the barricdes are nearly gone, lights inside.....If I go away from here now I'm afraid that I will arrive when all the action is over.
It doesn't pay to attack a barricade unless there are at least two and better yet three other zombies there with you. If you can synch the time or catch the humans napping, you can get the 'cades down and get inside for some munchies.

It's not that we need to be more organized than harmanz; its that the quite low level of organization we require (time/target) is more crucial.
I somewhat disagree: I feel zombies need to work much more in groups than harmans - such as with barricades or killing others - and therefore need to be more organised (although this can also be seen as crucial).

I knew snarflesnort was there. The others, especially Rita, are a huge bonus.
The generator is not running so the building is dark. That will make it much harder to hit the humans.

I've shifted my human scout out of Vinetown to give you chaps free chicken right outside Attrill Bank. Blazargh is the name. Just Dave wrote: I somewhat disagree: I feel zombies need to work much more in groups than harmans - such as with barricades or killing others - and therefore need to be more organised (although this can also be seen as crucial).
Hold on, I think we're talking past one another. Survivors have more things to do that can/should be organized; zombies have less things to do but those things must be organized.

Oh, sweet, since when did the Dakka group start playing zombies? I thought y'all were boring survivors only, I posted in the old thread once but got flamed for stating that I was a zombie-only player who liked to make anyone that combat-revived him regret it.

Hmmm, it seems I've been revivified. What mayhem shall I wreak!?
I'm tempted to offer myself up as a one off bounty if you can get me before they do... That'd be worth some pretty decent points wouldn't it JB? Afterall the harmanz are going to strip me apart on sight.

They are getting feisty! One killed me but foolishly attacked Shax instead of immediately barricading and I made it back in. We then defeated Henrietta Hoggs,

I think if you do it again give people a bit more notice and let them make their own teams, that way you know who is actually playing the game.
True. Based on this event, I think about a month's advance notice is required.
For everyone, Big Bash 4 has begun in the suburb of Buttonville about three suburbs SW of Vinetown. I plan to join BB4's zombie horde to experience the effect of a megahorde as it tries to devastate a suburb in a single day.
The organizers invited our group via email. They are providing info and discussion via the game Wiki, Facebook, Twitter, and a few forms of chat.
Anyone interested should head SW to NE Buttonville or NW Wyke Hills ( the suburb that BB4 will ravage next). After a few weeks, BB4 will be over and I will return to Vinetown...or come back earlier with BB4.
if you get revived, and need to get killed, can you please walk in into gelassius if you are close ?
i only have one other zed in here with me atm, and they are still trying to tak this place back with lots of effort, they just killed me and dumped me on the street, but luckily i had AP to get back in
On my way to the Big Bash 4 (wooo!) and came across a building full of humans (the Silwood building) to infect - I'm liking this already.
BB4's first target (buttonville) is already in red on the district map too. We can get back to ruining Vinetown afterwards.

You helped! It's hard to get those kills when you're low level.
HiveFleetPlastic and I were often in real-time communication over IRC and that was extremely effective. With a bit of math, we knew just when we'd have enough AP to make a move - although we were right on the edge a few times, like with the Damon Delacroix kills.
I'm currently at 10 HP, so if a low level zombie would like to help me out, bite me a few times so I can take a nap and rest up. You only get half XP for damaging zombies as a zombie, but you still get the 10 XP bonus for a kill. I'm currently hanging out by the NW corner of St. John's.
I'm on my way to BB4 as well. Made it to Southern end of Wray Heights.
If anyone's following on the road trip, then be on the lookout for two harmans in NW Gulsonside, between St. Polycarp's Hospital and Billings Row Fire Station; they're both limping and in the street after I stopped for a snack on each.

Your kill rate was a good indicator of the effectiveness of coordinating attacks. Using IRC was a smart move. The BB4 organizers are also using IRC. I checked in via Mibbit to say hello to them and to let them know that some of us have started moving (Just Dave, Azazel, and myself) south.
azazel the cat wrote:I'm on my way to BB4 as well. Made it to Southern end of Wray Heights.
Great! JustDave and I will meet up with you once we get to Wyke Hills. I'm heading for the police station in the NW corner of that surburb.

I will certainly try! They intend to do a lot of damage across southern Malton so Vinetown is definitely in their defined path of destruction!
I'm on IRC with them now so I'll ask.
EDIT: Yes, they said that they will get the horde to Vinetown but not sure when it will make it there. Each surburb has to get destroyed (red status on the map wiki) with most of its buildings ruined before they move on to the next suburb.
I would just like to point out that I didn't realise I was in a team. I got 4 kills in that time. Two of them were my own team so I don't think they count, and I don't have any evidence for the other two

Aye same here, I have Alts to close for comfort at the moment! If we move further West I'll join in

I've decided to head down now and just avoid Whittensdie where we are building our survivor group the Whittensdie Liberation Corps(WLC). If we go there I'll just wait nearbye.
I'm in Roftwood now as I went shopping, on my way to Wyke as the crow flies.
Mee too I'm joining the bash..... I promess I will be a better zombie from now on. I learned a lot of things fron this fox hunt ( trust the horde, follow the horde, be the horde)

You're not helping. Usually it takes about four days for information to spread its way through all of our membership. That seems slow to those folks that read every post in a thread and remember the context, but not everyone has that kind of time, short term memory, or reading comprehension.

Wait.. I'm still unclear JB... There is an event right?
I'd make a reasonable bet that purplefood was also winding you up.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Has anyone got a char in the North West? I've managed to get myself in a difficult position... I'm infected with 1 HP in an out of the way building. Oh and I have brain rot so if I move I'll need to go and find a working BRRC.
And my Nurgling is getting very close to Wyke, I've already 'encountered' another Nurgling.
You are standing outside Bonning Cinema, an imposing red-brick building, its doorway flanked by statues. The building has been very heavily barricaded.
There are two other zombies here.
Woot........in Buttonville and already helping........repeat of Shyer....move people...I want to see arsehole and elbows making their way here
I'm one AP from Wyke now, anyone who can find me feel free to have a chew. I'll jump over tomorrow though and start attacking from the inside so if you can designate a target before then that'd be good!

I'm going to help finish off the Howlett Hotel (50,91). Once it is ruined, I'm moving two squares east to Cockayne Grove Police Department (52,91).
Jihadin is in Buttonville. I'm not sure where JustDave has landed yet. Azazel the Cat is around here somewhere as well.
Bromsy wrote: I'm in north eastern Wyke. Busted open the Saffyn Museum, half killed the guy inside.
Nice!
Is there anyone else in the area that can assist Bromsy? We should try to gather in groups of 4-5 zombies to increase our chances of breaking down barricades faster than the humans can repair them.
Finished off the guy in Saffrin, destroyed the gennie and ruined the joint.
Since your last turn:
Zombie's Law punched you for 1 damage. (3 hours and 53 minutes ago) (Now 5 west, 9 south.)
Zombie's Law said "Hehehe!" (3 hours and 52 minutes ago)
Mother flipper...
Also, for any low-levels (AgeofEgos?), there's a vulnerable human to chew on in West Grayside: "You are at Alloway Street. Also here is Rezie 555 (50HP)."

Going there, I will arrive tomorrow. I 'm in the wasteland near it.

I think Casey's Law and JustDave arrived to help out Bromsy. Then Casey punched JustDave! Hilarious!
Nah, Casey punched me last night when I was on the way to Wyke... The git!
Still hilarious!
It's true! I'm guilty... of being fun!
I'll jump into whatever building you are attacking in 6ish hours and start hacking away with my axe, be prepared to burst in and join me. Feel free too gulp me down for dessert!
I arrived at Howlett Hotel with a surfeit of AP, so I checked out the Big Bash 4 IRC. They needed a bit of help back in Buttonville so I lurched over to assist. After we had smashed up a factory and the survivor inside, a joyous cry of BARHAH! echoed through IRC.
This will be fun!
Automatically Appended Next Post: I've noticed that a lot of the zombies in the Bash have changed their group to "Big Bash 4", which is now the top-ranked group on the UD stats page. What's our group display policy for Nurglings participating in BB4? Staying as "The Nurglings"?

There's 4 of us waiting outside now and 4 on the floor but is now at VSB.
You are inside Hitchens Towers. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. Also here are expedient bias (50HP) and JustAnotherConsumer (60HP).
A portable generator has been set up here. It is running low on fuel.
Somebody has spraypainted Tactical Area Rescue HQ. This area is a safe zone. onto a wall.

Down to lightly now, dont know for how long, ran out of AP
Moving my death cultist down to join the Big Bash. Currently camping out in NE Scarletwood, so I should be in Buttonville or thereabouts around lunchtime tomorrow!

Took the 'cades down a bit.

I think everyone has moved on to Wyke Hills (Next area east).

Great job it's down to lightly now but someone ran away. If you need snacks though, I'm fair game.

Haha, yeh let's test that out...

I wasn't trying to assume a commanding role or anything if that's what was meant. I just posted my location so you guys would know and next thing your chapping on the windows.

Ah! I attacked expedient bias to refresh the page (it said he had 25 HP) and that was the killing blow. Sorry, zeds! I'd intended to leave him for a lower-level to finish off.

St Celestine's Church, a small grey-stone building with stern gargoyles along its guttering.
There are four other zombies here, one of them from your horde. You recognise The Blind Hunter amongst them.
Broke the barricade down...no humanz....and ransacked the place...moving....NVM Screech PD ruin....just going to rest in Sreech PD and regain some AP's
You are standing outside the Cosh Motel, a large grey-stone building with a collapsed roof. The building's doors have been left wide open. Also here is Homer half elf.
Lights are on inside.
Somebody has spraypainted #o%n t%e %*%@e* * *%e #ulv%nda%% A%ms% W@# 57%95 onto a wall. The graffiti has been obscured by smears of gore.
For the Big Bashers, there's a lone survivor at 41HP in Shepherd Auto Repair, 3 E 2 S from Hitchens. The barricades are down and it might not be alive for much longer!
Automatically Appended Next Post: The Big Bash 4 IRC channel is running a daily strike team at 7 PM PDT. All zombies are welcome. It's pretty interesting to see how they do things. The experienced players probably know all about these tactics, but they're new to me! http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Big_Bash_4/Guide#Crash_course_in_strike_teams
Tell me, is it generally accepted practice to attack a "human" zombie waiting at a revive point?
It's sister Rita, judging by the Crucifix - I'm not seeing any names, so I don't know, but the experience from flailing at random has got me tangling grip or whatever it's called...
I figure putting her down now might mean a little les AP for her to use flinging syringes... (when she gets revived)

She's at about 5hp, I think.
Bear in mind that if you're a zombie yourself (and she's a zombie too) then it'll only cost her 1 ap to stand up (assuming she has ankle grab).
Might be a bit of fun if she's just at 5hp though.
Clive Building (NW Wyke Hills) is at lightly barricaded.

Well, I'm pretty sure some Nurglings think we're fair game too (e.g. CASEY)!
I'll head to Gelasius tomorrow, if I'm needed - although this revive point is a lucrative experience mine... lots of unaffiliated Z's to cannibalise...
The BB4 organizers have shifted their attack focus from Wyke Hills to West Grayside.
I'm still in Wyke Hills at the Marston Auto Repair. I'll save a bit more AP and then move to join anyone who needs help in either Wyke or West Grayside.
The Wiki still shows a lot of unruined buildings in both Wyke Hills and Buttonville. If you can help to update building status, please do. I update the ones that I see that are wrong.
Where are we all? After Shyar fell i wandered around and i am in the Cape Avenue Police Dept munching on snowdunn. Can someone please give my newly flack-jacketed form the cordinates of the rest of us?
