I don't think there is any risk of losing market, The game has been growing fast in the US and other then the Art Book (maybe) we have no proof or instance that thewarstore is holding back any stock from their customers. If they were refusing to stock their customers, then that would be illegal. My guess is that Warstore was just more comfortable estimating the numbers it will have for sale then giving his customers arbitrary numbers. This way if he was wrong and oversold the fault is on him, if he promised more to his distribution chains and didn't come through it could cost him business.
Also what they are doing is not illegal by any rule of the law as they are two separate business and even if they weren't, do some digging and you will find plenty of examples of distributors selling retail.
Anyways this is not news and we shouldn't be discussing it in here.
Is that the guy working Army 5? I did see that during the whole art book CB store fun that they were complaining that the webpage load was delaying their upload of Army 5 files.
So... does anyone know how the Nomad ML looks? because I can't seem to find any troop that has it apart from Alguaciles, I know it will be similar (for grades of similarity between 5 to 100%) to the Yu Jing one (like their HMG, they buy ammunitions and CKoalas from them) but does anyone know if there is any existing concept or mini with a Nomad ML?
There's a Wildcat with a heavy rocket launcher and a tomcat with a DEP, but I don't think we've seen a nomad with a ML before since only the Alguaciles and now Grenzers can use them. Zond doesn't count, drone mounted SMLs are always different looking than infantry MLs and those are some old drone models anyways.
Probably going to be in the Alguaciles SW box coming out just like the Fusilier box. If you can't wait then I don't imagane anyone would have a problem with you using either a Yu Jing ML or the hellcat's HRL and calling it a ML, especially on a grenzer ML that probably won't have a proper miniature for quite some time

The Seraph, the Uhlan and the Tikbalang are all based on the same chassis, and we've seen the concept art for all of them. We should see at least one of them this year. The Uhlan seems the most desired. I'd rather see the Tikbalang/Toni. We do know it won't be this month.
As far as I know, the only unknowns for this month are when we see the Army Builder ( within the next week or two?) and the ITS 2015 information. And a couple of unidentified blisters.

I really hope they show some of the 3d images at least (or hopefully the actual model) of the Maghariba during their April event. Unlike GW, CB seems to be keen on having people excited about what is to come. It's amazing that having a steady stream of cool looking products (even if they're occasionally ridiculously limited edition) keeps people spending money with them while simultaneously waiting for the next stuff.

See the Spitfire makes it a close range TAG and MOHI's cover that great as is. I think it will see more play in PanO over MO, because as you said 85pts is pretty cheap for a TAG.
In general force we have the Swiss Guard. Rather nasty profile in N3. I don't know what I'd do with Seraph in the general force, now that we also have Father Knight.

Every second comment on his FB page is "I wanted to buy your book but couldn't get it", or people wanting a PDF. Maybe he has taken note?
I only speak for myself as someone that has already preordered the book, but I wouldn't mind if there was a reprint. The point of the book is to get information and knowledge out there. Making everyone a better painter is a much better goal than just appeasing the investors that bought multiple copies of the book to resell.
I'd also be really mad if suddenly The Warstore revealed to a bunch of people that they took more preorders than they have stock and I wouldn't be getting a book.
A nice 'compromise' would probably be just reprinting the book without the mini. It'd get Giraldez's dream-book out to more actual fans rather than just investors while setting off a listens-to-customers vibe. On the other hand, nobody will ever believe limited-edition claims ever again.
Now if only they'd rerelease that $60 YuanYuan at a more reasonable price.

Other than people who bought multiples to sell once the price inflated, and to be honest I don't think I'm going to be losing any sleep if those people are upset by the decision to release further copies.
The easiest solution is to release it as an ebook, it undoubtedly exists as a digital file already.
No reprints to appease collectors and everyone who couldn't get it have access to it, forever.
I pre ordered from wayland games as soon as it went up, because i want the book and have done since he announced it.
I really like the joan model, but I would have bought without, and the only thing limited edition means to me is that some people wont get it, which is a shame.
I do understand why the initial run was short, self financing is big risk and that is what he wanted to do. But there is obviously a lot of demand for his work, clearly, and I wouldnt begrudge him whatever he decides.
I'm still hoping that a video of him doing his magic is somewhere in the pipeline, miniature mentor and painting buddha produce some great stuff, I'd love to see Angel produce something like that.

Corvus Belli, the makers of Infinity, are moving warehouses in the next couple of months, however we have been assured that there will be no halting their regular schedule for new releases.
so while things may go smoothly I would not be surprised if there were a few delays related to this (but new warehouse hopefully means bigger warehouse so faster turn around on orders in the future
Yeah, this was reported a few months ago by Carlos from CB. They are having to move their entire company HQ out of the small side alley building they are currently in to a much larger strip / industrial park style building.
This will give them room to expand, hire more people, etc etc.

Hmm, Pacific, that is sort of gross, to be honest. I like the official concept art much much better-- although without sunglasses. Glasses just don't really work-- see Angus or the one Muttawi'ah. I hope the twins fit in with Bootleg Penny, because that is going to be my Kum Biker gang-- Penny plus twins. (as 3 generic, or as Kasyma plus generic or...) I cannot see ever fielding more than three bikes, especially on those 55mm bases. We'll see them soon enough, within 22 days, eh.

After getting a second box of Kum for Christmas (which have been turned into generic female Kum with the Maghariba and Lizard pilots (I had to paint dat ass)) I'll be on 7 with the twins.
I'm glad they didn't waste time replacing the two boxes and Izzat after pulling them from the shelves as well. But yeah, it's time for something new for Haqqislam. Govads, Zhayedans or Khawarijs would be fantastic.
I love the Kums, but I am no were near talented enough to even give them a passable paint job. Maybe I will pick something up from the Angel books and want to give them a try in the future.
The trick is trying to not look at Angels bikers. They are absolutely insanely well painted, even for him - hence why they won the viewer vote for BoW's best painted.
They're fun models to paint. I've had a run of hot weather which always puts me out of the mood to paint, but it's getting better lately and I'm picking up on them where I left off.
@Kanluwen, do post pictures when you have a go at the Squalo re: ragefist, I'm curious to your results as I might like to attempt something similar in the future.

This book was my dream, but now it is my nightmare. Discussions, then criticisms, then insults…
When I started this project in 2013, I believed it would be a success, but no one else did. “A paint book, Angel? You’re crazy! You’re stupid! Hahaha!”. But I wanted to write it for my fans. I did market research, I studied my Facebook and blog statistics, I talked to stores, painters, companies, etc. I learned that selling more than 4,000 books would be very difficult. Nobody believed in this project. But I did.
I presented my project to Corvus Belli and Vallejo because I needed some help to sell the book, and they have the means to help me. They said “Yes!”, they trusted me and my idea. And so I decided to make 5,500 books – I didn’t think I would sell more than that.
I was afraid that if too many books didn’t sell, that Corvus Belli and Vallejo would be upset with me. So, during 2014, I advertised my project all over Facebook and my blog. Imagine my surprise when I began 2014 with 3,000 followers and I now have 8,700.
My mistake was underestimating my fans and followers. I didn’t expect this demand, and neither did Corvus Belli or Vallejo. As a result, many of my followers were not able to get a copy of my book, and that frustrates and saddens me.
This is a difficult decision because I decided on a “limited edition” of 5,500 copies because that’s what I could afford and, more importantly, what I thought would sell.
I’m stressed about this, I’m not happy. I re-watched my presentation video and I read the phrase “a book that helps painters”. That’s the spirit of my book. How could a book help painters if they can’t get a copy of it?
This has not been an easy decision, but I have decided to reprint this book. For those of you who have already ordered a copy, I hope you understand why I am making it available to more people. For those of you who have not yet ordered a copy, please be patient as I sort out the details.

Can anyone tell me in short what the hating it is angel talks about? Were people just angry because of the very limited LE? (I didnt follow anything) And does anyone know if the paintbook is any good for non airbrush painters? If he is really making more prints i could look into it if its suited for painting without airbrush.
If he's seriously reprinting the book then I'll do my best to secure a copy. Couldn't care less about the LE model (though it is nice), I just want the delicious secrets.
I imagine, like the first run, that it's not going to be terribly large, so I anticipate this one being just as hard to get. I'm going to find his Facebook page and follow those updates for sure.
I'm really glad I might get a second chance to get hold of this. Think a reprint was a good call and would be happy to buy just the book without a model.

If you mean the criticism and insults it's probably the internet being the internet. People who should be saying "I am disappointed I couldn't get hold of it, it sold out in seconds and I think it should be reprinted so people like me have a chance to learn how to paint like angel"

What a beaut! Definitely a step up in sculpt detail from the first mini, although I still love the pose on the old one (and the ridiculous length of the gun barrel).
But still who knows when that will happen, they have a lot of starters they need to do with the next book, and I imagine USARIADNA is higher on the pecking order for the starter then the Kazaks since we already have a sizable chunk of Kazak minis.
What is with them and moving the friggin magazines forward?
I know it makes a "cool" pose with the HMG over his shoulder, but they really didn't need to move the magazine.
As it is, it's too far forward. It should be flush with the end of the top rail/scope thing it has on it, like the old one.
I'll still buy it, and use it for another TH-APHMG, or a Vet with HMG.
I just wish they'd stop dicking around with mag placement "just because".
Like most of the Infinity range, I absolutely adore the aesthetics, I really like the background and the sculpting quality is arguably the best in the business in my opinion.
That said, a lot of the recent miniatures have had pretty naff poses and I'll add the new Tank Hunter to the list! :(
It's a good shelf pose. He *could* be y'know... shooting at somebody, or at least ADS. Preferable for a gaming mini. As shelf candy though... pretty nice.
It would just be kind of hard to get a nice 'action shot' with that mini and another one with an actual dynamic/shooting pose... unless they were behind him shooting him in the back.

The soldier on the left is carrying a rifle that has what you might call an "inner barrel" resulting in a longer barrel length overall. This might result in higher accuracy. Accuracy is not the way to win a war! The soldier on the right, however, has chosen wisely. He opted for a rifle with no inner barrel. This means the mag well can be moved forward on the receiver.. right up to the end of the receiver, in fact. Like any good Ariadnan, he uses this space to store sandwiches. Eating your sandwiches means a higher PH and that is the only way to survive the harsh climate on Dawn!

As much as I like the new Kazak/Tankhunter look, my combined Ariadna army is going to stay as a Lafayette's Brigade French/American army. Would love to see how those models turn out.
And hey, if you had all that delicious French cuisine, wouldn't you want to maximize the amount you could carry?
I'm not fussed over the ragefist either. It annoys me that it limits sculpts because they want to 'show off detail', but it doesn't upset me enough to get mad.
And I love me a CB pinup female sculpt. Give me moar!
My understanding is that they wish to make it easier to paint, easier accessed surface for a brush. The miniature's details are more attributed to the amount of final pieces required for assembly and casting technology available.

I like the new sculpt for the Tankhunter, it really is superb. But the pose is a little boring. And I can't unsee the magazine. Seriously. It's the same thing that happened to the Scout sniper. Why? (I know, because of the pose) Don't change the weapon, change the pose. I wonder if they tried to rotate the HMG sidewise. Maybe the magazine wouldn't have been a problem that way.
I'll remain loyal to my old TH. I'm broke, the I love the pose, and I'm not totally sold on this model so... xD
Love that Tankhunter! I think the pose is interesting. I'll agree that the magazine looks like it has been moved forward a tad to achieve it, but I don't think it's a problem since the gun still looks sensible. The Spetznaz sniper rifle looks a little front-heavy, but the mag on the HMG looks pretty much on the centre-of-balance IMO.

The reverse bullpup! Now you can mount a .32 pistol with a 2" snubnose barrel on the end of a large long cumbersome tactical stock with picatinny rails all over it loaded down with flashlights and scopes and junk and have your grip and trigger WAAAY back on the weapon. It's the lastest thing! And why not mount your entrenching tool on a six foot pole while you're at it? And get painter's stilts for your combat boots! In the future combat it all about gratuitous extensions on highly portable items!
Automatically Appended Next Post: On the other hand it's the future so maybe the projectile is inert and the back of the gun is an electromagnet or an air compressor and the barrel length isn't that significant since there is no powder burn under compression to be optimize to reach maximum muzzle velocity of the pill. In that case the dimensions and shape of the rifle might be purely based on ergonomics, traditional familiarity, usability, and utility as an improvised club.
Stop picking on that Tankhunter. Hunting tanks is impossible work, especially when there really are no tanks.
There's a bit of the background where it says there are, but they don't take any part in the type of combat that is represented in Infinity (to be a pedant! )
There was an awesome scenario on the official forums where you had an invasion going on, and one side has a tank, the other their usual team, and the team have to try and take out the tank. Essentially, the tank is some massive, armoured vehicle (think Venus Wars) that is sat on a choke-point during an occupation.
So he's an adept of the shrouded sniper way of firing his gun...

The pose doesn't make much sense to me, but I'll change that and the rest of him is great. The feuerbach is sexy as hell and I really like Teucer's face.
Because he isn't, a feuerbach (despite it's low burst, which goes to show you that B=/=firing rate) has this fluff
Rapid firing Anti-Tank weapon. The Feuerbach, or “River of Fire” in German, shoots auto-propelled projectiles, with warheads that load AP + DA Special Ammunition.
These small, lightweight projectiles have a quick loading and boosting mechanism which provides a rapid rate of fire. In exchange for this, the Feuerbach sacrifices range and destructive capacity compared to other Anti-Tank weapons, which tend to be more powerful but slower. However, the advantages of a faster rate of fire are evident, and the main reason for its success in military circles, where there only are positive comments about the weapon.
The Feuerbach is patented by FGA (Franco-Germanique Armements) and licensed to producers in different countries. Those brands commercialize the original patent with modifications to the optical and firing systems. Although, officially, its denomination derives from its rate of fire and destructive capacity, it is rumoured that the real origin of the names comes from the fondness of its designer for German philosophers of the Nineteenth century.
So its a rapid firing anti tank thing, not a sniper.
Agema are the marksman of the ASS. They're not all snipers.
Atalanta is the sniper. Agema in general are just marksmen with snipers, Mk12s, and MLs. Teucer just has a fancier weapon.
Agêma Marksmen have been designed to have an almost superhuman ability to aim. Since the moment of their conception in the Lhost breeding pods, every Agêma is modified to have sharp eyesight and an immovably steady hand. In Ancient Greece, the Agêma were an elite guard, and their current namesakes are no less. Their mission is to allow the forces of the Assault Subsection to engage in combat with the enemy and accomplish their mission, eliminating any threat that may appear on the way to their goal. Hidden adversaries, ordnance pieces, long range support weapons… all are natural targets for the Agêma. Nobody is safe on the battlefield when an Agêma has a clear line of sight. But make no mistake; these are not the cold sharp shooters of the Operations Subsection. The Agêma belong to the Assault Subsection and this can be seen in their combat behavior as they count and sing out each and every kill they make in a constant competition. This culminates in the glorification of the best of them at the end of the battle, marking his tally as the count to beat in the next battle.
It was noted that he has "Marksmanship X" which reduces burst to 1 and fires at a +6 BS as a whole order. Not that this replaces MSV or anything.
Even Atalanta has a MSV even if she isn't using it in the pose. Teucer may not have an MSV after all because it gets in the way of his one-arm Thug Lyfe shooting. We have minor precedent in Aleph units like Ajax not having the otherwise Myrmidon standard ODD and Kinematika 1 even in spite of being in an Enomatarchos Fireteam with them.

So far we've had small reveals from MiniWarGaming and Data-Sphere. CB is BFFs with Beasts of War, and the Nazarovas will probably be their reveal. It's no coincidence that the months' reveals have been staggered between different sites.

"Rage fist" is part of the symptom of "Open Chest".
Their stated goal is to leave as much of the detail on the chest open so that the sculptor's work can be appreciated.
Not to derail from ragefist and open chest complaints, but a kickstarter for a dropship started last night. It's original purpose was 15mm, but looks good for a small Infinity objective in my book. $75 for an all resin (some metal bits optional) kit this size. Already funded, first stretch almost reached.

I don't think it works well with the 28mm figs. It looks a bit off from the front but it isn't completely obvious till yo usee the fig next to the ramp he'd be supposedly using to crawl in and out on his knees or belly.

I think it would work better with the rear ramp in the up position, and the front cupola painted in the same colour as the fuselage. You could then imagine it as some kind of remotely piloted drone perhaps.
A good dropship will need to be something like 12"-13" to look really right though. Bear in mind the UH-1 (Huey) is something like 13" long in scale.

Looks like battle damage to me, like an explosive has hit the elbow and destroyed the armour and exposed the underlying skeletal frame. That's why the edges are charred and melted.
It might be just a tremendous zoom-in considering it's just a render. Otherwise, that gun would look quite featureless at TAG-scale.
Another possibility is that it's the new-statted Haqqislam Feuerbach Azrail with ARM5 Silhouette5. The original model was holding the gun in the "chainsaw grip".

I might well swap the sword for something a bit smaller, although a lot of those kinds of weapons from history were indeed massive, and you could explain the one-handed pose with high-tech materials that are lightweight, or the strength-boosting properties of her armour.

Rules-wise, I'll probably use them as regular Kum bikers more than their special character profiles.
I've been getting a lot of good use out of Kum's with shotguns, and as cheap and somewhat reliable smoke generators. That smoke they toss out, either thrown or shot from the launcher, usually gives them a high number to roll, so they usually beat incoming fire more often than not.

There's always after market parts In any event those launchers are such a stark contrast to the bikes, in form and size. It looks like something more suited to being bolted to a battle tank. I would have preferred something a lot smaller like the launchers on Space Marine kits. I just hope that the launchers are a separate piece that can be replaced, or put somewhere more discrete.

Well, the wet shirt effect is a bit too much, even though I can see why Angel would go for it (it would probably be more fun for him, from a technique PoV).

Yeah although generally they seem to be moving away from more cheesecakey stuff for the actual soldiers I think? I could just be forgetting something but they seem to be more serious and wearing the same as the male counterparts nowadays. Some of the poses can be a bit weird but nothing major.

Yes, well,,, they seem to be wearing the same general outfit of their male counterparts nowadays, yes, which is good... only they also tend to change the combat boots for combat heels, and their uniforms seem to have shrinked quite a bit, seeing how tight a fit it tend to be, which is less so, particularly combined with the posing they tend to get.
The bikers are pretty good. Dont mind boobage on bikers as they are bikers, not exactly known for conservative dress sense. Hate short skirts and low cut tops on solider types though.
One thing I don't like about the twins is that neither of them seem to actually be riding their bikes as both their hands are full.
I can see myself getting a few bikers but not sure I would want all five.

Looks like much is done, but they are still-- or he is still-- working on the PDF export, the Spec-Ops profile manager, and the weapons tables. So, close to the end.
Not really a big deal these days. There are 3 different freeware Print to PDF programs that I know, all of which work perfectly fine with no bloatware.
I use CutePDF personally.
This also helps deal with issues of paper size. Most of the world uses A4 as their standard, while the US uses 8.5"x11". If I use any of the PDF export options from these builders made in Europe or elsewhere, it usually defaults to A4. But, if I just print to pdf, it is sized just right for printing here.
That said, I will be glad to see ARMY5 come out since it will be a much needed point of consolidation, something very much lacking from this rushed N3 release.

Originally USAriadna was rumoured to be getting the Mavericks unit, inspired by the American bike jamboree they attended one year. That seems to have changed to the Kum redesign. Wishlisting then took over that USAriadna should get trail bikes or ATVs.

The question is now, thinking of a way to create a cool game using them. Are there any rule sets anyone knows of for biker wars? (or maybe some modification of the Infinity rules themselves?)
Then, you could either take the route of putting down a long length of coloured cloth with scatter terrain, to represent some long highway, or several city-type boards attached together (depending on whether you want to go for a 'Mad Max' or an 'Akira' type game.
Yeah there you go, just start at either end of an ITS/con tournament table with maybe 6-12 boards laid out side by side, and then race eachother across them, you're bikers so you can be rude to the people playing their tourney games

GorkaMorka had some scenarios like that. One had the terrain move from one end of the board to the other, and be replaced simulating the vehicles driving at high speed
Unless they've got a box of generic female Kum planned, which I doubt, that's it. The one with the light shotty is almost exactly the same as the female Kum concept art back on page 82, just without the dual pistol holsters under the arms, which are on the other twin, which go with her twin heavy pistols. My guess is they designed them to be generic enough to be used as regular female Kum. No Kum profiles except one twin have twin pistols, but that's easy enough to ignore.
And really, it's about time Haqq players got another different box. Govads or Zhayadens would go down a treat.
A Djanbazan boxed set, please. Such a versatile unit, with only two decent sculpts. To be honest, I'd also like a Janissary boxed set, but I don't know if that is unlikely given the existing (and reasonably recent) dude with AP Rifle; the HMG isn't a big deal, considering that you wouldn't get that in a boxed set anyway.
That too. A Djanbazan box is long overdue. Two rifles, a HMG and a proxy in the same style as the current Hacker and Sniper would be fantastic.
I honestly wouldn't hold my breath for a box of Haqqislam HI. While linkable, they're not our premier units, and even when linked, it tends to be only with 3 models.
-V- the guy working on ARMY5, posted a few things on twitter and on their forums.
It's getting close, it's a lot of bug fixes and such. He's 98% of the way through his current list of bugs, but there may be more added to the list later.
Of the screenshots he posted, one showed that they're bring back the two columned print out mode, and that right now he's fixing how that will print across multiple pages.
Another two screenshots showed that ARMY5 will have both a top horizontal bar of icons for unit selection, or you can change to a vertical list of text names for units. So no more having to remember every icon.
All in all, it's looking pretty good.
He was specific in saying that the version they'll be releasing soon is considered a "lite" version, meant to get the list creator out there as soon as possible, and that further functionality would be added.
Infinity desperately needs a clear point of consolidation, so it'll help when it's finally released.
IIRC, all of them are 'when it's done'. -V-, the guy doing Army 5, I'm pretty sure I read he took time off for personal reasons. So we can't really fault CB there, personal crisis do happen.
Apps, as well, are 'when it's done'. I know Mayanet has been going through extensive testing with some members of the public. They're said pretty recently on the official boards that assuming no more bugs are found, this might be the final beta build before they do a general release, and that was 3 days ago.

Aleph Toolbox worked in a browser, so not really an app I guess. I don't know on the bugs in it though, but its the best thing there is at the moment. Prints sheets or saves PDFs like the Army 4 style, I just wish it showed weapon ranges like Army 4 or Mayanet does

Cool, thanks for the update. I assume that is from the new v3 files then? If they're that cheap, I may be able to put something else in as well like a Maghariba then (unless that has some sectorial only restrictions). Those are the two coolest looking units from one faction that I've seen. I used to be a fan of the gecko but the inability to choose weapon options kind of limited that for me from a practical perspective.

IIRC they're also irregular, which will limit the utility of filling your order pool with just cool crazy bikers rather a bit.

At as little as 10 points a piece though, you could fill a second group up with them and still have enough points to make another 10-man group, but that's kind of a Haqq thing anyway.
...And they'll all be merrily using their one order each. Not really the most effective use of the models.
You could do two full combat groups with two or three bikes in each if you wanted to - that might just be effective (if you don't predictably do it every time).

Yup, it'd be nice if they didn't completely suck as an Infinity list but for me I'd be getting them more as potential RPG stand-ins and general scifi troops. I've always wanted some shadowrun biker gang minis and they look like they'd fit the bill quite nicely.

Full 300pt army of Kum has been done. Apparently he had about a 50% win ratio at that tournament, but relied a lot on coordinated orders limiting the incoming AROs which can't be used as much now.
That Igao has a rather elongated head. I'm not sure if the front part of the mask just has a lot of Tohaa-Tech, or if he just let his Asparagus-hair grow out.
It might be artificial stuff as well, given that the other Tohaa units with full helms have horns and other items intended to act as representations of animals from the Tohaa homeworld.
Pretty sure. Someone pointed out on a FB post that females have the leaf looking protrusions, while males have the spikes.
Oh, and that Igao is a Tohaa Camo skirmisher with most likely infiltration, MA3, and grenades of some sort.
Yeah I think that's a breast showing on the side view. It's not massive and cheesecakey, nor did Angel paint a nipple on this one... but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Could be some kind of oddly shaped pouch but I think the safe bet is with female Igao.

EDIT: Now that I've composed myself, I have to say that all of these look fantastic. Not seeing a problem with the alguacils, honestly. They match well with the starter set ones: nicely detailed, (mostly) sensibly posed, and punky without being cartoony.

Igao is a demonstration of the power of a well-sculpted body in motion. I have no idea what any constituent part of the model is and if (she?) was standing still she'd be a complete mess. Too many tiny details going in too many different directions, too few solid shapes to let the eye figure out what the hell it's looking at. But because it so well captures the muscles-coil-moment-in-movement it portrays, I'm kinda thinking about how to start Tohaa. And I've never liked Tohaa.

Good to see they're not afraid to do it still. Some of my favourite Infinity models are dynamic action poses - Clipsos combi rifle running around a rock, Asawira AP rifle leaping to the side and firing, Tarik mantank preparing to leap forward, etc. Standing in place in a 'this is my gun, this is my sword/ragefist' pose has its place, but it's not where Infinity models shine.
Zuleyka's abdomen does look off, less so in the digital image but still not quite right. A touch of filler will take care of it, I think. Tempting to give her a tank top, similar to Zamira's.
Alguaciles look nice, if you are going to field a link of them. They suffer from the same problem as the Ghulam SWC it seems. Just nice, and not much more.

Iago is definitely female here. In the last photo Pacific posted you can see a combat stilleto heel for her boot if you're able to zoom in that much. That is, unless CB has started putting males ib combat stilleto heels as well...
I'm not seeing it. Their necks look normal to me - in that they have necks. The males have zero neck. Their head just attaches at the shoulders. If their heads were any lower they'd be GW dwarves with their heads in their chest.
No, they are hefty guys, both craning their necks forward a bit and with signifcant padding in their vest things...I don't think it looks off at all.
The ladies have very tiny chins and jaws, which I think is causing the swan neck issue that Cordelia has.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Really liking everything here. The Kum ladies don't blow me away. It seems like they missed out on some good riding poses just so they could each be visibly wielding their weaponry, which is a shame.
Still not seeing it. The bottom of their head just about lines up with where the top of the shoulder would be, looking at the arm in the skin tight sleeve. The padding is slightly up past their jawline.
They have zero neck. Even leaning forward like they are they should have more neck.
The womens necks look a bit exaggerated, as you say, from having thinner jawlines, which is exacerbated by their pixie cuts, but they have pretty normal necks.
People see all sorts of things when comparing the anatomy of a 28mm miniature to that of a grown human.
Personally, the females necks to me don't look out of place - I've worked with women who have long necks, and those aren't out of place at all. The males necks don't look out of place to me - I've known and worked with men who have the same zero-neck thing going on.
It's exaggerated on a 28mm model because while proportions are technically accurate, odd armour or clothing styles really make it look weird.
A good example is the Ghazi with the saggy boobs. They're actually not saggy - that was an optical trick caused by a high belt and a low scarf that left only the bottom of the breasts exposed. The other female looked fine - and was the same body, but lacked the scarf.
The female Alguaciles, following the line of the shoulders as they slightly arch up, look fine. They have a neck, and a head on that neck. In their case, it's the pixie cuts that are throwing it off - the same way any slender woman with a pixie cut looks like she has a longer than normal neck.
It's exaggerated on the Alguaciles because it's CAD and they made the heads and hands tiny on the females.
Corvus Belli has acknowledged they use a different "scale" for female models. It sucks, but what can you do? Any real criticisms of their stuff now gets shrugged off as "hate" or "nitpicking".
I've never denied that people have differing opinions. it's actually one of my most repeated statements in online arguments.
What annoys me is when I put forth my opinion, I get flat out told I'm wrong - which happens quite often on this board. So I like to explain how I reached my opinion.

This has absolutely nothing to do with it. CAD is a tool, the same as a physical sculpting tool and putty. They can easily sculpt the heads on a physical sculpt to be smaller, just with a bit more effort.

Yeah, I saw that it's confirmed to be CC 20, MA: 3 and CH: Camo, which sounds like a fun mix. Personally I hope it doesn't go too flying rodent gak insane like the Rasail and Kotail did.
It might be an Australian thing (too much exposure to Delta Goodrem) but I am not seeing the swan neck on the ladies either.
Liking pretty much the whole run of releases except for the Tohaa that everyone is drooling over. But that is just as it follows the current Tohaa aesthetic that I personally am not a fan of, still looks a like a well executed model.
I'm also unable to see the long necks. Perhaps they only seem long because the females have a white collar whereas the males have bulky shoulderpads and a thick neck-brace. The males' vest also extends further up to mid-head-height compared to the females. The females also seem to be angling their shoulders downwards.
Can´t see the issue with the Alguaciles either... good sculpting job and you should always reserve final judgement for the moment you hold it in your hand, since pics can create distortiona that are really not there because of the angle they are taken from.
The Tohaa is cool, but not feeling the DBZ hair on that one lol, but at least it seem proportionate unlike Neema. Biggest thing that keeps me from collecting anymore Tohaa is the fact I seem completely unable to paint them, sooooo much small details.

Agreed, they don't do much for me either, and I like the O:I ones a lot. Maybe it's because it's really, really obvious that they share the same two bodies or something, and other boxes manages to hide that fact better, or something.
I absolutely love the Iago, though, and reaffirm my belief that the very best Infinity models are the ones that are actually doing something instead of posing.

I guess that is one of the downsides (?) to CAD sculpting - the 're-use' of bodies in a box set?
But is that definitely something that was done before with 'traditional' sculpting?

It's a result of their current aesthetic choices.
For what it is worth I too quite like the look of the Alguaciles, and the Infinity choices with regards to female models in the last several years in general.
It may be a question better explored in the subforum, but the new Algu box, would it be redundant with the contents of Operation Icestorm?
Out of the available content the HMG and LGL are the models you'll likely include. The box should be otherwise handy, if you're looking to build a Corregidor force.
The re-use is no downside of CAD, it has been done long before and just makes production cheaper and easier. And since mainly the torso is reused only few will really see the sameness.
Re-using sculpts happened before CAD. CAD allows CB to create a digital sculpt of a male Alguacil and then re-pose it differently for the Icestorm set and the SWC box.
The SWC set is just following the common trend of reusing the physical torso+legs bit itself which CB has done even before going heavily into CAD. I believe the Myrmidons, for example, were not CAD-sculpted yet they reused many body parts.
Snagged a box as well . One thing I've noticed about the daily deals from miniaturemarket.com is if you watch their news page you can generally see when they are about to get a restock on the big brands. Like these went on the daily deal and they got a big Infinity restock in. Last week they had a deal on two x-wing models for dirt cheap as a bundle, and they got a restock of X-wing the next day. I guess it helps clear some shelves for the new toys....if it only did that at my house I'd be better off.
So moral of the story, if you see the daily deal, you might want to check your other wants again as they may have restocked those as well. Save on shipping.
