So, I figured it was about time for a picture filled holiday update, all the Eisenkern(Kruegerian) troops are builts including their robot mules, I have some base coat work on the BoS squad I made. Much to do, so much!
Kreugerian Tri-Mortar team. dropping a garnd total of 9 small templates from just three mortars is impressive, it is called the "Iron rain" attack.
[/img] [/img]
The dual twinlinked heavy stubber teams, spraying 18 re-rollable bullet attacks they refer to it as the "Iron Hail" technique and will also shoot down flyers or hordes with their guns. These would be similar to the idea of the FW Sabre gun platforms, but this is a team with a stand mounted weapon system.
[/img] [/img]
For those enemy armored vehicles, the weapon that the Kruegerians rely on the PAK-L55/90 Magna-coil assisted round cannons, the three of them will fire on the tank as one, and call their attack "Iron Hammer" they practice this so much that all three guns strike seemingly with just one hit as all three shots hit so close together in timed unison
[/img] [/img]
Sgt Steiner and his squad "Steiner's Sledgehammers"
[/img]
Sgt Kessler and his squad "Kesslers' Knackers" they enjoy using the grenade launcher under slung carbines or SMG's known as HK&K-88's as well as the Kruegerians new signature Mark-99 "Panzerfaust" grenade launcher.
[/img]
The Mules
[/img]
Sgt Roesch and his small fire team (He is on the left, on the move with magnocculars in hand.
[/img]
And Lt Rommel and his command squad (2 vets armed with Panzerfausts and carbines, medic and comms)
[/img]
One of the BoS teams, also usable as a mutant purging fire team
[/img] [/img]
A collection of the AT-43/Brother Vinni/Hasslefree minis together
[/img]
Yeah! I will order Hanomags from Dreamforge when they become available. I also have the Puppet's war Taurus' on order, and Old Crow will also be able to provide me with more transports at cheap costs
Black widows, female troopers? I know they also have plans for heavy infantry, unless Mark feels that is too Spehs Muhreen like?
Black widows are indeed female troops. The heavy troopers are great stand ins for the terminators and have a nice grey knights vibe. I would love to see mark develops an accessory sprue to help them be used in other systems though .
Oh the Helcannons are Las-cannons
he has basically a multi-melta and heavy flamer and heavy bolter or cannon for them.
As well as bolt pistols and power blades, they just will not look like the GW versions which are always comically huge requiring 1/56-1/48 scale minis to have 1/35 scale hands to hold them. Even 1/35 scale true scale weapons seem sadly toy like in potency compared to the over sized GW weapons. By rights that IG las rifle is packing a 75cal. sized laser aperture
Leman Russ' 120mm battle cannon swallows a 1/35 scale 120mm cannon more the bore size of 1/35 scale of a 300mm mortar than a true 120mm as their own tri-view and data cards used to have on the Leman Russ!
Those handheld guns , a mixture of grenadelauncher and revolver looks good, the minis look as if aimed for the GK audience... Tho those shields rather stress a Teutonic look...
As for your question regarding your leviathan scheme...I think an apparition like this deseves a more special scheme than the general vehicles got...so probably the hussarian scheme, but I can't really say for sure as I can't recall it atm...
I'm really tempted by the wargamesfactory deal to order another full sized crusader and really build an angry marine Titan out o it. Someone suggested using rhinos under each foot o get it to the size of a warhound, and make them look like rollerskates . Man I wish I had money o burn on angry marines.
Well Theo, the spare weapons could be nice to have handy for dealing with different foes across the battle table.
Now I have decided to make the big guy look like a gigantic Hussar! A more earthy color shall be inside the light "splinters" making their interesting pattern So armor panels to go on once the metals are done on the limbs and such
[/img] [/img] [/img]
Legs and torso
[/img] [/img] [/img]
with head and hunchback
[/img] [/img] [/img]
Shoulder guards
[/img]
The Big Guns
[/img]
More work on the camo scheme, then the "metals" and then I can use the glue gun to fix the LED's and set up the light show
Not all vehicles use treads, BUT the Khadrovians use strictly solid ground contact vehicles on wheels, legs and treads, Skimmers as the Tau and Eldar use are not for Khadrovian use, oh no, no!
hmmm..... i am not that fond currently of that camo scheme on that big boy...... there will be too much bare metall to be seen... dunno if the camo will work as inteded then...?
Viktor von Domm wrote: hmmm..... i am not that fond currently of that camo scheme on that big boy...... there will be too much bare metall to be seen... dunno if the camo will work as inteded then...?
Once h puts the armor on there's a lot less of the metal areas to b seen, I think he'll be fine. I know we've debated before about giant vehicles having camo, how likely is aBuilding going to be able to need up on you? I think they just camo the big boys to torture he new guys who have o paint it. Ain't is desert scheme....waits ill he's done.....oh wait we're being deployed to the jungle, repaint it......oooops orders changed, how good are you at winter pattern?
Don't forget that camouflage isn't always there to make something "invisible". It's main use is to break up regular shapes to make identification of, and ascertaining direction and number of the camouflaged thing more difficult.
So even if you're not going to hide a building sized vehicle, you can make it tricky to identify it's capabilities and loadout.
if shaso is doing the metall in actual green i think it could nevertheless work then...
My dad used to tell me his old army stories where they repainted the mechanized units 3-4 times in two weeks. Lets just say somebody did something that pissed the commander off, and everyone was tightlipped as to who did it. Later the commanders wheels came off his jeep while he was using it , painting lesson learned on both sides, the tanks isn't get repainted again.
well...good to know that the lower ranks don“t mix with officers...loyality is one heck of an improtant thing in the army...you just need to know whom you need to be loyal to
Surely they should be "sky camo'd" underneath! That way the troops looking up can't see where there chins are?
I like the camo myself, and the thought of some poor imperial guard schmuck with a 4" paintbrush, 100 yards of rope and a couple 50 gallon drums, scratching his head, about to paint this thing is priceless.
That's why they'd look so great as grey knights , plastic grey that is , or go gunmetal and silver everywhere and blind your opponents like in the movie Excalibur.
Theophony wrote: That's why they'd look so great as grey knights , plastic grey that is , or go gunmetal and silver everywhere and blind your opponents like in the movie Excalibur.
Oh the heavy armor Eisenkerns do have head options, stormtrooper heads would make themn merely heavy armored stromtroopers, but the other 2 options would make for nice GK alternates. Especially the crenalated helms.
Liking the camo even better now that it's been darkened up . Also looking at those pics again of marks renders I think I just saw my grey knights stormbolters can't wait for those to ship.
Camkierhi wrote: Camo looks great, gods these are big boys aren't they.
The Anti's look good too.
Having a look at that other walker, it would make an excellent Tau.
Thanks, and yep, Crusaders are big boys!!
Thanks! they are yet to be finished, silver highlights.
Oh that is part of the past misdeeds of an old Politburo who traded more openly with the Tau before they were deposed in the last cultural revolution which pushed such overboard trade out the window, the tech adepts have allowed what could be copied minus Tau friendly programming and some architectural so to speak influence on the battle frames. No way for these to turn against the Iron Guards as they deal with Tau military incursions here!
Building my own crusader and was just thinking about using my IG tank camo scheme on it. I was thinking would a five plus story walker look stupid in camouflage... The answer it not at all!
madmartykmf wrote: Building my own crusader and was just thinking about using my IG tank camo scheme on it. I was thinking would a five plus story walker look stupid in camouflage... The answer it not at all!
Awesome thread and thanks for the inspiration!
And which meat sack would tell the pilot of a five story walker that it looks stupid in camo

Awesome thread and thanks for the inspiration!
No problem, and Thank you! As you can see, I am making it like a Giant sized Hussar/stormtrooper
Now I did get the Puppet's War APC in, and Brick is a very apt nickname for it!
Few pieces for easy and fast assemble after cleanup, there was some cut and file work needed, but too bad.
[/img] [/img]
the resin is decent quality
[/img]
turrets so that they will be more Chimera like, I will close he turrets but one could also use as a old school Razorback as the figure is full armored, like a SM. I ordered an assortment of weapons
[/img] [/img]
Even the tires are chunky!
[/img]
Just assembled this one for show in minutes!
[/img] [/img]
with GW Commissar, Defiance Games Marine and Dreamforge Stormtrooper for s cale reference
[/img] [/img]
Now for the Chimera comparison
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
It is as all resin kits, super glue needed, not plastic cement. some flash and burs to clean off, but well, is a beauty!
Report from the Khadrovian Union of United Republics, subject: Unidentified vehicle module.
Milords, as can be seen by the picts taken, the object in question appears to be a command and control module, and it was being manufactured in a sentinel factory, leading me to believe it is for a walking machine rather than a wheel or track vehicle, The team shall endeavor to keep reports and picts flowing as to the nature and purpose of this module and what it is for, but only ones so far with special clearance are allowed near the thing. Also observed was a rather large weapon system. All other present parts have yet to be tracked down, or those parts ready are covered by tarpaulins this module was having components and wiring put into it so the tarp was off, but after the workers went on break, they sealed the cockpit door.

As you can see, the item is larger than that of the sentinel, we are unsure what size vehicle this will go to, or if it is some new sentinel design as the LKhadroviuans already sport sentinels, heavy sentinels, and stega-tanks as it is.
I know exactly what that is. It's a Leynos. Space Type, to be exact. Looks like the Player variant. I always liked Target Earth/Assault Suits Leynos and Valken/Cybernator. Cool mechs, too. He's going to be MUCH bigger and chunkier than any Sentinel.

Nice! Yes the player type and will have the gatling weapon. I found them at Hobby Search and have more on the wish list, I also received the one with the bazooka today with the player Leynos make.
but my Crusader will have playmates, I also got he Dessler II comand ship 1/1000 scale, Yanato 2199 for the win!
Camkierhi wrote:Loving the Puppet Wars APC, me want one.
Interesting "sentinel" body?
May I pick your brains, being a bit of an expert on tanks......Desert varients. I am basing my world on desert terrain, tracks, wheels or hover?
All three can work, but as I like my human vehicles solid, I went wheels and tracks for my tanks and APC's and other Khadrovian machines, Oh and of course walkers. Of course the Puppet's War APC has a major requirement for when I go wheeled,,, big chunky crushing wheels of DOOM! this thing has wheels wide enough to crush a human sized target if it runs them over. I wish I could afford the purchase and maintenance of a certain APC type,,,,,The Marauder!
Parking lot crowded? not a problem for this beauty!
A wall inconveniently placed where a exit ought to be? no problem!
I imagine the Taurus being able to do all of this as well as the weapons mounted for those needed to be cleared alien hordes
As can be seen, the Crusader is still a hefty piece of walker machine engineering by the Kruegerians of the K.U.U.R., but the Khadrovians have mnade a machine that is shorter, but faster, and has drop capability. Unsettlingly, it seems that perhps some concepts were stolen from the alien Tau race machine design concepts, but then I also noted Humand design and construction my lords. Rivets in reverse flush holes, and honest welding, pistons and hydraulics as well. And the hands of the machine have human style digits, four fingers and a thumb. Gatling cannon and shoulder mounted missiles and counter measures are also featured on this machine
Crusader and Assault Mech, right manipulator or "hand" removed
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
With Gatling weapon

those clever khardovians... now they went gundam too....wow...
that apc is a killer...very good looking... your leviathan is looking very appetizing I have to say... something about his camo scheme screams delicious to me???
and that new walker... I am not currently sure if your thread some past moons somehow has inspired my love for walking machines of destruction... but it sure deepens it^^...
I was quite some time away from dakka of my own design... needed some time off to do my homeoworks... I did rushed last minute jobs in the end but thought about them almost every minute...which left me without any hobby love for that time...now as it is over...and holidays are almost upon us... LOL! camo as if food! But yeah, splinter style camo seemed to fit the Kruegerians as a member republic of the K.U.U.R.
Not quite Gundam, but similar vein.
Yeah the APC has nice "I crush you" wheels, massive tires of the bullet proof, self repairing, self inflating type
More pics! different mold colors

Those troopers look so small compared to the small titans
Mass Production type looks good, though I question why they gave it the bazooka rather than one of the regular rifles. How are you going to paint those two up? Any plans on grabbing the Ground Combat version?
Barzam wrote: Mass Production type looks good, though I question why they gave it the bazooka rather than one of the regular rifles. How are you going to paint those two up? Any plans on grabbing the Ground Combat version?
Being that these are to be Khadrovian manufacture, they get the camo of the tanks and yes, I have on my Hobby Search wish list the Ground type as well as the two Valken models.
Okay, none of them are done yet, but hey, with red and green, I think we have a theme? I have small details to do, ink in panel lines to do and decals to apply, but here are the space going ME-, err, DWG-262 fighters.
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
And the ME-,,,,,,,DWG-110 heavy fighter
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
Love the last picture. First you think your the target of a broadside, then you see all the troops coming out of cover behind the paint bottles ready to light you up.

It does doesn't it?
Barzam wrote:Were those fighters pack-ins with some of the larger ships, or did Bandai finally release those 1/72 fighters they've been teasing?
Mekakore scale, mini fighters as parts of the larger ship sets. the DWG-262's came with the Battle cruiser
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
This also was in the set with the Battle cruiser and DWG-262's

The 110's that look like SR-71's came with the leader's private cruiser
[/img] [/img] [/img]
The Space Subs never made a whole lot of sense in th eoriginal show. Didn't really look all that good, either. The never version looks so much cooler. As does Dessler's ship. You've done really great work on them.
Are you planning to buy the Gamiras fighters if they ever get around to releasing the 1/72 scale versions?
monkeytroll wrote:Liking those....nice to see the size of them, I was looking at that cruiser set the other day. The cruiser is very cool.
The ship sets are awesome, the 2 cruisers come with the reflex satellite, the Battleship/destroyer set comes with the 3 gun tank, the star-fish of death carrier comes with DWG-229 flying wings, the red carrier comes with the drill bomber, and bridge ship detached from the superdreadnought.

Ah, I did catch 3rd season on Youtube and knew where Flakken came from, the 1970's "space subs" looked goofy, the new one is better, and is an experimental, so is a nice unique ship for a unique commander an crew. Thanks! more to do! I have a sapphire blue and regal blue for the command ship. I do indeed want the 1/72 scale Garmillas fighters as I have the Falcons and zeroes, I have Kato and his second and I have Yamamot and Kodai's fighters to work on.
Previews of Lower Storm Leader Melda Ditz's 262 in 1/72 scale is promising as are all the fighters, I am also going to collect the Lanbea/Balgrey/Sderg and the Haizerad Battleships, and if it comes out.....Domel's superdreadnought
at 730mm long a BIG ship kit to be sure! the tri-deckers are 410mm in total length with mekakore kits of the planes they have 21 1/1000scale minis of for placing about the decks
One of the throw ins for the Haizerad is the patrol ship that dropped the tanks and apc full of android soldiers
I'll be looking forward to seeing that as I just can't find a pattern I like on mine yet. Including the convict orange suit and I will be trying out a hot pink suit shortly, but got called in to work tonight and tomorrow is jammed.

You don`t know how hard I`ve been staying away from the local shops to avoid buying all those Yamato kits. and the 1/72 kits keep trying to lure me with chants of how cool they would look in my count as Eldar army.

M.
They are hard to resist, and I also get discount points from each purchase at the distributor to lower the payments for the next batch of ships! first 1/72 scale Gamillon plane is to be the DWG-262 flown by Melda.
Back in the 1980's I had a bunch of the older kits as I have been a fan of Yamato since 1981
So far I have the Kirishima and the Yukikaze and cruiser, 2 times the cruiser destoryer set cosmo zero 1 and 2, Kato and the tiger. And of course Yamato for EDF
I have the Gaiderol and tank and destroyers, Dessler II command ship, the destoria/kelkapia, the UX-01 and Battlecruiser, red carrier and Polmeria carrier. plus mekakore minis. I am still needing the Lambea/Schderg/Balgray, as well as the more modernized Haizerad Battleship and the Domelus-Superdreadnought

Happy New year all!
Goeppinger and his lads are the veterans of a platoon of veterans, if you get my meaning. ALL of the Kruegerians are pretty much wearing carapce armor. so effective 10pts a man instead of the average guardsman being 5pts
And I did manage to camo the lads now to retouch the gray under suit, black the gloves and boots, green the utility pouches, and "blue" the gins etc/ Camo the gray hats as well. OR, just highlight? Have to give the hat badges silver with red center.
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
with APC again
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
APC out front
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
I think...plain hats. Otherwise on that scale you may not be able to see that they have heads... It'll all merge together. One of those, good for camo' bad for model things.
Okay, so the squad under Sgt Goeppinger is done for now, all grimed and everything
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
Oh yeah, hair poking out from under the hats/goggles must be done
Theophony wrote:THat camo looks great on the troopers, great job shaso.
Camkierhi wrote:Those guys look outstanding Shas. I do love the camo. Will the APC be similar?
Thanks guys! the APC witht he base coat it has will be getting the usual pattern camo as I actually did not foresee the Kruegerians as using them unless it was necessary, I just used it for some scaling and how they would look climbing out of any APC. I may consider doing the Hannomags in such colors, after all, they also will be from dreamforge. I need to get say a total of 10 of the things, then add in the rocket and cannon versions for good measure, man that "Parade of Strength" is gonna last a while! All of the soldiers ranked, the vehicles as well, whew!
Viktor von Domm wrote: they do look business! that camo is actually my favourite one of yours compared to the standard khardovian camo...
how many vehicles do you have for that branch of the army?
The Kruegerians only wear the standard gray camo for light uniform work such as security workers not the hard covered soldiers as these guys are.
I did a tally, I need a lot of transports to fully mechanize my 500 or so soldiers.
Presently
1-Seadragon 35men capacity
1-MTLRB-40 25man capacity
2-BMP-80 12 man capacity each
2-BTR-80 12 man capacity each
2-IFV-70 10 man capacity each
2-BRM-80 (Half tracks) 8man capacity each
6-BMD-80(Chimeras) 12 man capacity each
6-MBTR-44 (Bricks) 12 man capacity each
And then a plan for say 10 Hannomags at 10 men each
3 support hanomags at 5man each
so total capacity at 403 soldiers so far. I think I need more platoon carriers and plan on converting LTV-4 kits with a drop ramp in the back and roughly 35 man capacity each say 3-4 of those
I may also get me ome armored Old Crow trucks if Jez will whip them up.
The original tri-deck carriers are from the 1970's version of the show
and the redesign is the model from the new take on the show
Now I know one of the GW guys made the entire Ultramrines chapter I think, so that would be 1,000 space marines in total.
Now if you add my 500-600 IG, 100 SM, 100+Tau, 200 Orks, and 40 or so 'Crons, well, that may be a large-ish collection of troops, Oh and my chaos lizards
I have 2 of the itty bitty mini kits, the blue and purple ones, but I am going to order come February the tri-decker with the small scale DMB-87 space dive bomber
Well, the stylistic anime of the 1970's made for Space Battleship Yamato, i. e. Starblazers outside of Japan, Captain Harlock, and they made Captain Future, so many good series
Viktor von Domm wrote: I see...you stockpiled your supply of your favourite hues......now we“ll expect big things painted soon^^
I can do the working pistons and such of the other mechs, camo them, do more work on the BIG guy, and then add the light system to him, and also, complete my BoS armored team of purgers.
Paint is being applied, just took the time to quickly state, heavy weapons got some, Taurus' getting more, as well as some camo spots on command/special fire team, and 2 other full sqauds.
Theophony wrote: They look so nice together, but they need something......MUD , get to it man.
I did mention they are only 50% done. I still have to paint the tires add the color to the spots for strip shaped turn/brake lights, decals and mud is last, always last as it is to cover what exists.
Oh and I also tend to watch Voennoe Delo on Youtube to get more inspirations for my craziness here.
Glad you like! I am using an old reaper paint called blue-black for the tires of the 6 beasties. It looks like gun bluing and rubber due to the oily kind of look it has. I painted the Kruegerian (Eisenkern) guns with it. So much paint work to be done for the vehicles, but easier than little men, LOL!
Tires and turn signals are drying
I figured out the way they are armored over the wheels that they turn as a tank does, stopping, or even reversing one set and still moving the other set forwards to go left or right.
dsteingass wrote: There is a Panzer Aces color called "Dark Rubber" that works well for tires too.
Thanks Dave! I will have to look it up, see how it looks as I am getting low on the other stuff.
So, the tires are looking like this, but as they were damp when I put them down they rubbed a bit, touch ups and some sealer will help I think then I can worry about the mud looking good on these tires

Plenty to "touch up" I see from my close up, but you all now get the idea for the tail lights I am working off of.
of course I originally came up with the idea of the good father in the Inquisitor RPG and had not realized that there was this scene of a Russain made WW-II movie with a bear of a priest wearing a helmet and fighting with a rifle in with the troops
So, with watching videos on youtube of Russian Cold War era tanks, I remembered that I had a unfinished project, made some construction progress on it. I am uploading pics of it now. Now I will need someone to give the thread a boost so I can post the pics

Look again! I know, sometimes looking at Russian Tanks is like telling the difference between Aston Martins.
I watch Top Gear and the styling of the Aston Martins 7-thru-10 all look at first glance the exact same
Automatically Appended Next Post: I think Dr.H is furiously looking up that model and type of tank as it is NOT a T-90, although at first glance it looks like one
The DB-7 looks very different to the later Astons, but yes, the DB-9, Vanquish and Vantage do all look near identical.
Some of the additions to your tank look like a T-64, but that is going older and you're saying it's a relatively new tank...
Well, you can see where the Atons started to have that look at the DB-7 which made it to the DB-8 on.
Well, you got it partly right! T-64 is the basic model, but the modernization package makes this one a very specific designation! Which is what I was meaning as a recent upgrade actually of the tank.
The choices would have been T-64, T-72(but like it's successor the T-90, diesel exhaust is on the left side) or the T-80. This is a T-64 used in and modified in Ukraine as a hint.
T-80 was also modififed extensivley in Ukraine as T-84 Yataghan and Oplot and now they further modified the Oplot as a new package. I discovere that the Thailand Royal Army is buying the Newer Oplot for their forces.
Original Oplot looked like a T-80UD more modified.
Okay, I will relent, this model is the T-64BM2 "Bulat" which has all the modernization to allow it to perform like a T-80/T-84. It can do almost all of the things that the modern tanks can. I have seen more recent Bulat images that show a further defense package and maybe an active defense added?

After the dissolution of the USSR, Ukraine carried on the development of T-64 modernisations, as the original and main factory was in this country. Two programmes ended in 1999:[citation needed]
T-64BM2, with a 57DFM 850-hp (625 kW) engine, a new 1A43U fire control, a new 6ETs43 loader and the possibility to fire the 9M119 missile (NATO code "AT-11 Sniper"). T-64U which integrated on top the 1A45 fire control (from the T-80U and T-84), PNK-4SU and TKN-4S optics for the tank commander and PZU-7 for the AA machine gun. The tank leader is then able to drive the tank and to use the gun directly if needed. The tank is also known as BM "Bulat".[citation needed]
The two variants are also protected by Kontakt-5 modular reactive armour, able to resist to kinetic energy projectiles, as opposed to the first models which were efficient only against HEAT shaped-charge ammunition. Those two variants could also be remotorised with the 6TDF 1000 hp (735 kW) engine.[citation needed]
As of October 2010, Ukrainian Army has 47 T-64BM "Bulat" [Š¢-64ŠŠ "ŠŃлаŃ"] in service. In 2010 the Kharkiv Malyshev Factory upgraded 10 T-64B tanks to T-64BM "Bulat" standard, and a further 19 will be delivered in 2011. These 29 tanks are being upgraded under a 200 million Hryvnia ($25.1 million) contract signed in April 2009. The T-64B [Š¢-64Š] tanks were originally produced at Kharkiv in 1980. According to Constantin Isyak (chief engineer of Malyshev Factory), the T-64BM "Bulat" is armoured to the level of modern tanks. They have 'Knife' [Šiж] reactive armour, and the 'Warta' [ŠŠ°ŃŃŠ°] active defence system. The T-64BM "Bulat" weighs 45 tonnes (44 long tons), and with its 850 hp (630 kW) 5TDFM multi-fuel diesel engine can do 70 km/h (43 mph), and has a range of 385 km (239 mi). It retains the 125 mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader for 28 rounds, some of which can be guided missiles. It has a 12.7 mmAA machinegun, and a 7.62 mm coaxial machinegun.[5][6]
Yeah, the T-64 and T-80 series have the aft exhaust, gas turbines I am of the thought of. Still pretty brutal and low slung machine. I like it a lot. I am impressed with how much was done in such a compact way.
I also use reference by bookmarked Kharkov Machine Design Bureau website so I can check on what they are up to next, as well as youtube for video to see how they operate.
Maybe one day, we will see an actual duel of capability between a full T-90 and M-1 to settle the debate as to which is better, although the Russian tanks seem designed for the handling of some wild moves, the T-90 did that fly and shoot move in a weapons show, Abrams tried to fly as well, and the driver they said hurt his back as the suspension was not made for that, and in that show, they tried to "drift" like the T-90, but slipped the treads off. Kind of embarrassing for our guys for such accidents to have happened. maybe the M1A3 will address the issues.
But KMDB also upgrades for the older tanks, T-55, and T-62 including engine refits for the old tanks. and more. APCs, and a type of tank that carries 5 man fire team between the turret area and the engine, looked interesting. Rare to see such a style of tank with 7 road wheels instead of the 6
Basically a stretched T-72 or T-80 with the step ladders and hatches for the 5 men to clamber in and out.
When I was in high school I took the ASVAB (armed services vocational aptitude battery), and aced the test. I wanted to drive the m1a1, but the recruiter laughed because I was 6'3" at the time and the max height for tank crew was 5'10", and even then your bent over inside an hitting your head. He also "tanked" my next two wants of flying an apache helicopter (glasses ) and military police (why do you want to b a head like that) . so I asked him what I should be. He pretended to think for. Moment, but you could see on his face he had it decided already....."radio operator" he said, I could almost hear the cash register sound in his head. I got up and walked out , I'm not trying to be the first one shot . By the Time I made it home I had calls from the army(apologizing and trying to get me back in), the Air Force, the navy, the marines and even the coast guard. Seemed at the Time I was one of only three people to have aced the ASVAB in Missouri. I ended up not joining because I was already making more than what I could have in the military at that time and no on was shooting at me.

Yeah, M1A1 was also my first choice being the tread head that I am, I met the ASVAB and height requirements at 5ft 9.5inches, but my old knee injury was a problem as part of emergency disembarkation is jumping off the tank, I guess they did not want me injuring myself again.
So, apache pilot or gunnery operator? Nearsighted with glasses)Funny as I could still knock a 400meter target with my glasses on, 150 w/o glasses. so another idea scotched, They also said if I cvame back and took another test, that I could use my recently learned German to be a message intercept/translation specialist, I asked "What do you have that works with computers?" as I was thinking that might be the way to go. they said 15E-10, Pershing Missile Operator. I should have researched more, went in and had to worry about many things happening if SHTF.
Pershing was less like being in the Army and being in FUBARtown. At least being able to mingle in Germany had it's upsides.
Cool model, looking forward to seeing it in your colours Shas. Makes me think though that Godzilla stomped on the turret and crushed it like a tin can the way it looks all splayed out...
But if painted in my usual scheme, then it is a Heavy Tank with a long barrel Vanquisher that spits 108" instead of the normal vanquisher that spits 72" heavy stubbers for the MGs

Or I could sub the blue-gray for the loam and make it completely a Khadrovian 2 sturcture point/6hp monster heavy. Like a compact Malacador,
dsteingass wrote:Ok..Perspective is a good thing, thanks Shas
Yep, it is a nominal sized cannon, 125MM in 1/35 scale, about 155mm proper sized for the 1/56 scale of 40K so the Leman Russ is more sporting like the old German heavy rocket mortar launchers of 250-300mm by the size comparison!
Viktor von Domm wrote: that lil tank parade was a fest for my eyes... tho I did notice a strange different hue change inbetween the tanks...
and thanks for that nuka break vid link!!!
Ah, Vik does have the eye for colors and not as color blind as most dudes are! Yes, I have since gone over the tint as the bluer stuff had gaps and scratches. Now they are more uniform. The Khadrovians even suffer from issues of mis-mixes. Now they will have some better color control for the future.
Oh that movie length string along edit made it seem a full movie. If they make a dvd, the extra features will be great.
Okay, so, for a comparison that us easy, I used a classic Chimera compared to the T-64BM2,,,,, In some respects a big enough machine, others, surprising such as it will be lower than a Leman
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
Pretty much the same height for the Chimera, so very low slung even though it is a 1/35 scale model versus the GW sized vehicles
[/img] [/img]
Tell me if this would be well served in my livery and used as a heavy class tank, or so?
Dr H wrote:I don't know enough of the rules to know the significance of it being a heavy class tank over a normal tank.
But if it's going to be special then you want it to stand out from all the "normal" tanks. Then it'll be unique amongst all your unique tanks.
It would be a 2 structure point as a heavy, like the Malcador is. New rules it would be 6hp instead of the 3hp of the 1 structure point Leman Russ. weapons would be simple and easy to use not much chance to anger too many folks. Model designated T-6400
Miguelsan wrote:You need to add a Char 2C to your tanks Shas
I saw this kit on the store the other day and almost got it.
Speaking of the Malcador, I did make one from the 1/35 scale Char 1B bis
I have contemplated getting and converting a Char 2C model, the Meng one looks rather easy to work with!
I'm hoping the rumours of Imperial Knights for spring are true. I'm not much into IG Superheavy tanks but I'm dying to put my grubby hands on the new Dougram 1/72 Kit.

So, while waiting for the extreme cold to end so I can primer the T-64, I went back and did more work on a few things I finished for now Special Fireteam "Alder" under Sgt Alder. Grime from soot and blasts has coated the soldiers, but their markings are still visible under it all.
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] Spades
[/img] [/img] [/img]
Goeppingers' sgt mark. I went back over it by scraping that blob off and making that stripe more a stripe, I need a magnifier station with the alligator clamps.

Command team "Rommel" under Lt Ernst Rommel

Well, seems that camo work got on my missiles, so I have the larger walkers to show what I did with all my AT-43 based minis missile launchers.
[/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]
When we last saw the Valkir, they were nothing more than a base concept. I knew I wanted power armor troops for the Eisenkern faction that represented the mid-point of advancement through the Eisenkern Ranks. A soldier that was superior but still very much a part of the core army, unlike the Knightly households āRitterordenā which operate with much more autonomy, where you find the Assault Troopers and Support Troopers.
Also mark is looking for guys with painted forces for beta testing rules .
I saw those heavy troopers(drool!) and I have to find opponents as in being able to get to the game shop in the town of Princeton to do any testing with willing participants.

Theophony wrote:The oversized GW weapons just look comical on them, just shows how bad the scale for GW really is .
Yeah, the flamers are actually the ones I got with the Great Coats from WGF, that is why they are not so unreasonable sized, (Plus to fit the pose, I did cut them down some and welded them to the trigger sections of the actual rifles that came with the 2 flame troopers, the GW flamer is as ridiculously over sized as that plasma weapon. So, it was a bit easier to deal with the size of the WGF flamethrowers than the GW Plasma. Basically, every weapon of GW is far larger than it ought to be and is comically so.
Camkierhi wrote: When I see these models, I think they should be white with black insert. Ala Stormtroopers.

Well, their boxes call them stormtroopers, but i think they meant more like the WW-I variety. I have more progress to show
Plasma gunner. Plasma gunners also have spare charge caps in a durable container seen affixed to the bottom of the troopers' back unit.

Theophony wrote: The eyes look great . The only thing that throws me off honestly are the pouches and clip holsters being a separate color/non camouflaged.
Those are made from a material the troopers jokingly refer to as "Factory Leather" a synthetic material, made in a leaf green color, but not in a camouflage break pattern as a brown or black leather material would be. (It was also inspired by the holder for my entrenching tool back in 1983-85)
So, still problems making normal eyes I will need to get the magnifier/alligator clamp station so I can do better in future for eyes, glad so many of the heads had goggles.

What color blues did you use for the eyes, because I want to steal that.
I knew there had to be a reSon for the different colored pouches. But I can just see an ambush get spoiled because someone sees a pouch over in that bush

Is also why I soot/grimed the pouches with the armor!
The colors are reaper paints Sapphire blue and sky blue(which looks close to the GW ice blue) you could use "enchanted blue" that Librarian armor uses as the base and use the ice blue, for same effects.
Automatically Appended Next Post: So, the 144th also has needs for knocking out heavy vehicles with a bit more punch involved than that provided by the Panzerfaust 99, for this the teams using the PaK -50 Coil gun arrive, set their cannons up and wait to strike the heavier machines of the enemy
[/img] [/img]

The coil accelerators in the barrels are powered by the energy cell box wired tot he cannons thus allowing for power each firing.
Thanks cam. Is a tad harder than I thought painting them in place, Maybe one day, I will paint each guy before setting them to the base of the weapons? part of it is how big that gun shield is!
ach.... if I was but a fast painter like you I would be able to get me some of these troopers as well... I just noticed they have a very clone trooper feel to them... I bet my kids would love to have a big army of these for them to play with... but alas... I have lots of unpainted stuff still
and I have to chime in again... your camo work is excellent! and since I I know about your health issues... you must have something to compensate the issues with... either excellent eyesight or an unknown amount of patience!!!
Gun shields are excellent, really effective and realistic camo pattern. Stepping back a page, I'd love to see your models showcased either with a plain background like a photo or with a suitable background that fits the models aesthetics. Saying that, as they are work in progress it's simpler to take them where they are...

sorry I have been away for so long matey!
Thanks Vik. they do seem to combine well clone troopers with WW-1 very well. I also have a major backlog so know the feeling!
Thanks again for the compliments, I am insanely patient.

Thanks rug! Maybe once done, I can put some white for the time being behind the finished models, I am hoping one day to make a go of getting to the local shop (relatively local) and using their terrain to help make a street to parade down all painted troops and vehicles. Learn to upload it to youtube, add music like in the parades of Power of other nations, and blend it all for folks to enjoy.

It can have it's drawbacks. I wait too long sometimes for replies to important things, and is why I had to be less patient to get my disability in gear. But yeah, I tend to work and then go over it if need be. If I do not, it means I have worn that patience out, and let the model as is as it sometimes can be annoying at such small scales w/o the magnifier station I have mentioned.
oh yeah... what cool looking squads!...decaled and grimy!
I own that third hand and magnifying glass too...but I can“t work with this worth a damn, I can“t see where I paint through the glass... coordination is nowhere near as in unaided view... if I ever will have to wear glasses I might be doomed hobbywise...
Thank you Dr.H! they are all part of the 144th as can be seen by their unit numbers I need to freehand some simple stuff I will give the guns names as was a thing that has happened in the past and present.

Ah Cam just as I was writing! Gotta stay consistent with the camo, and also the grime as the heavy weapons are part of the major group of 144th from Kruegeria. all have seen the same actions for the most part, so all same grime until they have to shine but then dress uniforms not armor would be worn for a planned parade, my parade of strength will be as one form just finishing a campaign as I do not have any dress uniformed soldiers lol!
I have a special disease called dumbness^^.... thus the magnifying glass doesn“t work for me... currently I have quite good enough eyesight... but when I need glasses I will of course use them...pray that this may be thirty years from now...
Oh yes I like them very much, especially with your camo on them. These last ones just beg for an office standing next to them screaming "Pull" and then 1000 clay pigeons take flight
Yeah, my third hand looks like that too. Not had much of a chance to actually use it yet (as I've been working of large things since I got it), but should prove useful for single troop models.
shasolenzabi wrote: I uhm, well, I have great coat heavy weapons to build/paint as well
You can't build and paint them until the supply sergeant orders them coats and the transport craft brings them to the facility where he can trade some to the locals for beer.
If you look carefully, the part of the mortar in the loaders' hand is actually a pre-loaded with handle, so he takes the spent one off, loads the fresh on, and the guy with the target computer tells it when to drop the mortars to the firing pins in the tubes below, once the shells clear, they can wash-rinse-repeat, laying a veritable hail storm of mortar shells on the enemy
Really unhappy with myself for not getting a limited special offer last summer of three HW boxes at half price. I blame the machine gun team for it, it's kind of weak for me but still I wanna kick myself for not being fast enough those AT guns are lovely.
Camo looks great on those guys, good job Shaso Churning them out at a prolific rate recently
Liking the carrier too, I see uses for those drive units Recently picked up the Combined Cosmo Fleet box to throw at my meks, yet to come up with anything decent, but give it time.
What is that latest mech? It has very cool lines, think I could have fun with one of those
Hey Monkey! Glad you like the troops, still have to put the touchesont he Sturm-Morseren, but yeah, I have combined cosmo fleet sets as well as the Garmillas Astro Fleet. (Grabbing them as they come out.
The mecha is from a 1990 side view video game, you know where you left or right direction, and you playe the piot of the mecha attacking enemy positions. That they made so effective a kit from 1990 polygons is amazing!
I have the Leynos suits, still have yet to order the Valken suits which are more square and blocky looking than the Leynos suits, all made by the model maker Plum.
Camkierhi wrote:I love coming here, reminds me there is life beyond 40k.
All looking great, do you think you could pass that battlesuit off as Tau!
Likely could, but the weapons are so un-tau the feet are sort of bird like, a heel claw and two toe claws. I will be saying that they are using stolen and humanized tech-ware from captured units.
Data File 04863-BZK/f; Amongst the old Khadrovian-Tau cooperation projects the old Politburo under Premier Folghasov, were the Coil rifles, coil guns(cannons), some vehicles and a large knight sized unit for ther Humans to pilot which would of course be set by the Tau to not fire upon Tau units so that greater Tau-Human cooperation could happen between the Tau and the Khadrovian Union.
After the ousting Folghasov and his cronies by t he outraged populace for such close cooperation with the aliens, as well as normally unsavory behaviors, the Khadrovian Technical Division allowed the use of the Coil gun, which like a railgun fires a shot at such speeds as to equal standard lascannons, but with a weapon that does not require the laser quality lenses and their sldiers can operate as the basic technology concepts were also found to be human concept but different from the Tau, these weapons were of course human make-able, and so were adopted.
The series of AS-5Ea, b, and c piloted knight suits are more taking to some of the Tau concepts, but are strictly human made, using human data processing systems, and no signs of machine sentience that the aliens apparently feel comfortable with. The feet are simply designed to support the weight of the suits, they have grav-chute systems for aerial drops, but once on the ground stay on the ground, but can use the chutes for decent into areas without the need for hoists.
The weapons the suits use are shoulder mounted smoke and missile launcher systems, a Heavy stubber bank hidden in the left arm, and a variety of hand held weapons (where the hands are human designed with four fingers and a thumb arrangement unlike the 4 digit tau arrangement. The head uses a sensor system with varied spectra scans, and laud-hailer for communications to those outside the machine, as well as a comms system for relaying data and orders to and from command.
The model "a" carries a large, long barreled assault cannon.
the model "b" is armed with a large shoulder missile launcher, as well as a handheld large scale coil gun
the model "c" is armed with a rifle like battle cannon.
the suits do get to have the ability to fight in hand to hand as their fists are as machine close combat weapons for such sized machines.
Their internal systems also are not susceptable to Tau influences as no actual Tau tech is used, not even their reactor packs.
This does however mean that they rely on a standard human made void shield, not the multi layered variety a full titan would sport.
Of course as sentinel pilots are oft to be mavericks, so are the pilots of these machines.
Instead of the molecularly aligned alien manufacture with smooth seams, the AS series sport rivets, (flushed in spots) and seams as well as other more human construction features. The suits are made from the finest ceramite overlaid plas-steel Khadrovian forges can make to keep them sturdy yet light enough to move with ease.
Thank you cam! I have fluf also covering some of the rifles of the Khadrovian 501st as well as their odd helmets and shoulder guards etc.
But the Khadrovians have rejected using hover tanks as the good solid contact of treads and tires with ground is faithful to Human designs and comforting.
