The Baron was a company commander of the 69th company of the Emperor’s Children space marine legion during the Horus Heresy.
During the final days of the battle for Terra he and his company went on a pogrom of debauched slaughter fueled by the mind warping drugs of his first apothecary Baalaz Fraal. The drug which Fraal called Endorphine was savagely addictive and a work of such pure ecstasy Slaanesh himself became a regular customer. 
After Horus’ defeat Samedi and his company fled sol system and started their acquisition of the “supplies” required in the distilling of Endorphine. Whole worlds were depopulated to make a mere few months’ supply of the drug.
Samedi picked up the title of Baron during the Veril Enclave enslavement. The Veril Enclave were a group of imperial worlds that seceded from the Imperium I39.M41, they paid a terrible price.
Samedi and his company along with other renegades who flocked to his banner descended on the worlds of the Enclave. A horrific culling ensued. For 20 years the Veril Enclave worlds suffered, their populations farmed like cattle for the hideous drug. Towards the last stand of the Veril aristocracy Samedi slew the head of the resistance to his domination, the Baron Fen Tolok.
Fond of the title of Baron Samedi took it for himself. Baron Samedi was finnaly driven from the system by the Grey Knights; he fled along with scores of traitors licking his wounds within the Eye of Terror.
It is only a matter of time before he strikes again!!

I'm exhausted tonight so an example batrep report that you'd send to the warzone commander (I'll do one for 40k, and maybe for BFG too, but I'm not too familiar with that system) will have to wait till the weekend.

Q9. How do we handle 2v2 games and the like?
A. This has several different ways it could go.
1) Only one dakka member in the game. Report as if it was a normal game, the only difference being include all 4 army lists
2) Two dakka members on the same team. Only one of you report, if you are a strange alliance (e.g. Tau and Guard) then dice off to see who gets to report the win. The other force counts as having 'inadvertently aided the enemy' or something like that.
3) One dakka member on each team. Report as if it was a normal game between 2 dakka members, but include all 4 army lists.
4) 3 or 4 dakka members (so 2 and 1 or 2 and 2). Treat as example 2 and 3 combined. So if it was Guard and Tau vs. Chaos Marines and Chaos Daemons, and Guard/Tau win, only one of them gets to report it, and they dice off to see who that is.
Is probably the best answer I could come up with. Does that help?

No, you can play anyone, its in the FAQ and players packet
and You choose where you deploy, but i suggest coordinating for maximum effect. You report to the commander in charge of whatever warzone you choose

Hey, earlier today I posted a topic about this campaign on Warseer (because I noticed that one was absent).
A couple hours ago someone replied saying that they thought that there was already a topic about it a few days ago that seemed to have dissapeared. It seemed a little odd at the time, but now I've checked Warseer, and the thread I made is completely gone! It's not just locked or moved, but It's completely disappeared and not even anywhere in searches. No one has messaged me anything about it, so I'm a little bit suspicious. Does anyone know what might have happened, or if the original topic poster is present here?

Sadly, no I'm from Coffs Harbour (north NSW). I do have a few relatives in Brisbane, though. It's a nice place and I'm thinking that I might move up there in a year or two.
As for the suggestion, I had suspected the same thing, though I was trying not to believe they would be that unfriendly to other sites. It's all supposed to be for the love of the hobby, isn't it? So when I see something like this happen it rather irritates me. Most forums are much more open, though. I know that Advanced Tau Tactica at least hasn't closed the thread about the campaign.

Warseer has been deleting them sadly. I can understand their point of view its just a little disappointing. I have accounts on every 40k forum I can find I like to read everything. To me one of the fun parts about campaigns like this is all of the people you get to meet and the shared sense of community that develops.

The size of the game sure does have a modifier on the outcome of the battle, in the early weeks there is also a modifier for planetstrike missions, and towards the very end there will be other impacts of other battle types. Apocalypse will always have a significant effect though, because it is...well...apocalypse. Its huge.

Is anyone else having issues with the Faction boards?

I have used firefox in the past, switched to chrome because I kept having issues with websites not being compatable. I have since switched back to IE because chrome wants to run a new instance for every single thing that connects to the internet  . IE9 is stellar tho and crazyfast.

Unfortunatly theres no such thing as a safe browser :/. Its all about the backup and insurance , I recommend everyone to check with their insurance agent about identy theft protection. Of course I also try to avoid saving anything on my computer that could be misused but that doesnt always mean anything.

Okay, I thought I was confused in a 'It'll all be clearer later' kind of way, but now I'm really stumped...
What's the procedure for this thing? I remember reading something about a commander too, either in the OP or the handbook. Am I supposed to enlist myself on a planet and with a commander? If so, how?
Perhaps it could be made a little clearer in the first post to others who are in my position

Well, oddly enough, Warseer has decided to restore my thread on the campaign! I put in a query in the help desk a few days ago, and this morning I got a reply saying that the topic had been restored. This has actually left me a little bit confused, as they didn't give me any reason for it being taken down initially. All they said was that it had been restored, so I'm actually not sure whether they did in fact remove it in the first place. I suppose it may actually have been a bug.
In any case, the thread is back up, so hopefully we'll get a few Warseerians signing up soon.

The Brotherhood of Fire operate in the area of space known as the Hades Rift, 8 Systems are in this area, each chapter in the Brotherhood make their home on one of the worlds, and they all recruit from all planets. Those that do not join the Brotherhood thou can also join the Hades Rift Army. At any given time the HRA can deploy up to one billion troops alongside the Brotherhood, primarily support, and an occupation force when needed, the HRA forces fill in a crucial gap that the Brotherhood cannot fill themselves.
In this Campaign the HRA Will be deploying the 47th Tempest Jump Squadron as a support element to the Brotherhood of Fire. I plan on running them as Elysian’s, is it all right if I use Forge World rules for them?
