So many other things to catch up on! then I must make a ruined house wit the toaster in the ruined kitchen, the radio in the ruined living room, and the bathroom can now be set up!

Box sprues look like wood posts, so the 2 spare wood walls, or whatever can be used to make one of the smallish shacks one sees in Post Apocalyptia

Yep, I give my sprue a wood texture to encourage people not to waste it.

How much better would models be if all of them came with textured sprue (doesn't always have to be wood either)? Not as if it's a great deal more effort on the companies part...

Rounded sprues are good for conduits and pipes if cut correctly. squared ones can be made into loose brick piles

Well, my vehicle design bug has struck again! Agent G is helping show the scale of the newest vehicle project, the semi'tracks (Tops will be under armored sections), and some of the possibilities as this is a slim one folks!
[/img]

Then with the back and belly plates works
[/img]

Adding this engine/exhaust module,
[/img]

trench rails made the choice of the module
[/img]

Or there is this single trench sled/rail
[/img]

I also assembled a crate, I think I should have shaved the connection surfaces more as this one looks medeivally rough hewn, but it is a decent sized crate as can be seen next to Agent G!
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

Next we have the crate shielding a sniper, as can be seen, he is well covered by the huge crate
[/img]

Intriguing start to the newest tank.

Depends on how large/bulky Vs "sporty" the tank will be to what rails it should have. I'd probably build the tank first and then decide on what rails to fit (keeping in mind to leave space to fit either).

I've had quite a few of my boxes turn out a bit like they were assembled by a drunk when I first tried them.
This is where the marking inside came from, as trying to get them to fit in all orientations was far more difficult that making them fit one way around.

I learnt to leave the "top" and "bottom" (Z sides) unglued until I'm happy the box is square. Then it's easier to pull it apart are try again. Z sides then just drop on and are rotated until they fit best.

How did you find this resin to work with? How does it compare to other resins?

Oh, the design is shaping up best as the large rails will work with the exhaust box. It will be a rather slim seeming machine, but has yet to have the track shoes added which will wide in on either side, plus the planned upper-tread/hull as part of the tank, so it will wind up roughly over 55mm wide.

The resin is different., like a bit FW resin meets the more brittle like, so not the brittleness of other resins, yet not fully soft as the FW stuff, or worse, the FC resin which was like soap. Once assembled, the crates are sturdy

Glad you like the use so far I will have use of some other bits for the later aspects of the TD.

As for the treads? I will make a way to make it so the Zinge tracks can cover the bottom angles as show, the upper track links will be "Hidden" in a fender/armor protection, I may also use that to help with sloped side armor, the hatch I plan for it is rather large, but that may get used as well for a APC I plan to use the other exhausts on. My next APC concept, will be more like a Landing boat with a roof and on treads, and hopefully will be another platoon level APC

Yeah, tank destroyer would work for this one; save on space by not having the turret mechanism (assuming that this does take up a fair amount of space in a tank). Also tank destroyers are meant to be quick to outflank the "sluggish" tanks.

Okay gang! I know i have been quiet more, but i do have some news! I got the Fallout drop yesterday, took pics in case I had to send it back, lucky me, it was perfect!

Mini-nuke that holds the game discs, and as anyone knows, children under 12 ought not play with radioactives and explosive ones at that! one pic was fuzzier than expected, but the clear one shows they made the effort to make a plastic prop look like rusted and worn metal!
[/img]
[/img]

As I also have FO4 on the way come 11/10/2015, they sent me a sleeve to store it in the mini-nuke as well along with the other games!
[/img]

DrH's crates! good for terrain on any battle table, and also great cover to shoot from! Bathtub however seems to be smaller than expected
[/img]
[/img]

And I got the camo work on the command team set as well.

Comms
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

Forward observer team
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

Medical officer
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

Sniper teams, Colonel and Banner-Sgt
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

The whole command staff together
[/img]
[/img]

More works to come!

That Fallout collection is awesome.

But if I buy Fallout 4, I'll never paint these marines.

Also, love the camo scheme on your stuff. It's different and yet still pretty good-looking. A lot of times when people experiment with off the wall camo schemes, they don't look great, but I love yours.

Yeah, it is a thing to do that makes a shift in what can and can't be bought! But with a lot of units to paint, finish of a vehicle or two, I also need to unstress, and I allot game time to do that with.

I considered doing a block/digi camo on the coat, but he is a Colonel, so, the fact he wears the same armor suit and patter his men do, but he and the Sgt get the cross not the winged eagle gorget, that was enough, plus they are wearing their soft caps and not their helmets, those are stashed, but I may make some spare head cuts and attach those somewhere the Col's left hip has enough opening between the coat pieces to do that with, as well as the Sgt and Medic.of course the Colonel's helmet may get some individualized touch to it. You know, like they did for General Veers in Empire Strikes Back, he still wore his grey uniform, but the helmet was black, not as practical here, of course, but I do have some really dark greens to make a solid helmet.

Reaper paints Jungle Moss and Pine Green are the darkest greens I have of military greens I own. Jungle moss is close to the very dark green of Soviet tanks when not camouflaged, and Pine Green resembles the very dark green used on the old Messerscmidt fighters' upper surface camo.

Pine Green

Okay, I have seen the terrain comes with piles of collapsed girders and bricks and such, plus the walls and floors with damage as seen in the nest I made. there will be more wrecked buildings to come!

You get the one toros, front/back with the eating zombie, 5 heads, 2 female, 3 males, well the balded one could have been anything! 2 female torsos, 2 space suit like torsos, and 2 corporate soldier armored torsos, arms with nothing, arms for the workers, and soldier like arms with shoulder armor, etc. the 2 arms that have to hold the rifle like a club, so it is positioning the torsos on the 5 leg sections, then the choices of heads, one of the females is helmet with long hair, the other is hair exposed. the bald head, the head with hair, and male helmet. the torsos are partial ball-n-socket style, so angling the bodies is very varied if so chosen. same with their heads as seen, and the arms.

The expansion has the 30zombies, the booklet (Too thin to b a book), the terrain sprues and AI control cards as the zombies are not smart and must be random, they can be spoilers as they will attack anything that moves. fellow plague or opposing soldiers of any race, but also there are the ability to solitaire game due to the cards

Well, sadly, I have no funds to use till 11/3/2015 so unless the sale is continued till then, I am screwed. But I would get the Thor(Stuka zu Fuss) for the HMG mounting one, plus another APC just so I couldmake a Loki/Odin version, (may make a frame for canvas cover for bad weather.)

Looks like the infection is spreading in the K'd'n sector. It might need some "antibiotics" to clean it up if it can't be dealt with internally.

And now! time for some more paint work as I had some stuff primed and I felt color was needed,,,,,Badly! I got to my Clear-Horizon and OMN stuff this time around. so here we go! Oh and Agent G was nice enough to stand in for scale once again, he is a real 28mm sport about that!

Well, between the flash and the daylight bulb, I got some odd bright results

Then things evened out and Agent G could get to work

Happened again with the turret emplacement!

Slowly catching back up. I've been out too long. I really like the look of those tanks. Also you should look at the bat mobile vehicle from knight models legend line . I think it would look kick butt in your paint scheme.

Also I demand (ask nicely) to get a picture of how you store everything. We've seen you keyboard a billion times, but how about the shelves and boxes of goodies . Inquiring mind would like to know as I've got way too much to store myself.

Truly sorry Shas been away too long, been lurking now and then.

Tanks are all looking amazing, OMN turret is spot on as well, your camo scheme pulling it all off effortlessly. Your scratch tank just fits right in with the rest, brilliant.

The minimen are looking kick ass bud. Loved the pic of last man standing back there.

And got to get me some of that deadzone stuff for the terrain alone, though I have plans on that front!

And I am with Theo, how the hell do you store all this, I have got me a nice big space now, but I can't imagine how much room you must need! Please tell me it is all on display, not stuffed into boxes?

Turret, and also the mailbox is almost set, still details to paint on the turret as well! vision devices and the key-pad for the armored door and all, that.

It will likely be pics done parade style, as to unpack every soldier, APC, Tank, walker, and other goodies would require a large holding area, so Likely I will do pose, snap pics, re-pack, pose, snap pics, wash-rinse-repeat.

Not bad Shas, that's a good pallid unhealthy look they have .

I think they could do with a light wash, something subtle to smooth the shadows a little, not sure what colour to recommend however. Black probably but quite lightly done.

I used a mix of decals of course, the red numbers and the yellow insignia as well as the license numbers are from the WW-II Hanomag I converted, the red stars are from the Russian Decals I got, and of course you can tell the Warhammer-40K Aquilas.

Rear

Well, I suppose folks were waiting for more pics to follow! and I have some right now, some already shown, and some long waiting their chance for the detail paint work before they get decaled and "washed" by me. So, I have added some more details to the turret I got from OMN!

Turret emplacement for border defenses of a Hive or Military zone. Security code pad ( I see from the close ups, it needs some more touch ups!)
[/img]
[/img]

Left side profile view (view scopes detailed)
[/img]

Right side with view scopes
[/img]

Front or business end
[/img]

And I also worked on the combat hot-rods from Clear Horizon Miniatures (the brown dots are the smoke launcher caps)
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

Big Ass Brake-light!
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

side of one
[/img]

side of two
[/img]

And the converted Chimera (front lights and optical devices)
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

Left optics
[/img]

Right oprtics
[/img]

Rear optics
[/img]

With so many swiveling optical scopes, this APC earns the name Argus due to it's practical 360-degree optical coverage.

Not that I stopped there, I also worked some more on the small light tank as well
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

And I did more for the three 6x6's from Warchimera
1
[/img]

2
[/img]

3
[/img]

And the Secret Weapon 6x6
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

Plus the "Not BRDM-2" and smoke dis-chargers in brown
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

finally for this batch, the "Not BTR-60"
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]
[/img]

that is my progress so far. But there will be more vehicles getting a taste of the paint, comments welcome, and I will have the other machines here soon!

Well, with the situation, I found that Reaper also has the clear colors, so likely after Christmas, I will have the new paint drop which will include the clear red/yellow/blue/green and purple! (Yeah purple lenses, what a concept!) plus some other support colors I needed.

Meanwhile, I worked on a tank that resembles to some degree a real world Russian one, but is from Dust as the source, but is now incorporated in the Khadrovian Iron Guard.

Turret is awesome.

Fascinating how the halftrack looks like nothing mega from the front profile. But side on looks so imposing. Great work on it. Nice balance. Just a curiousity how it looks so small from tbe front. Guess thats a tactical advantage.

Rusky looks brilliant.

Merry Christmas bud.

Love the fact that you have used a true array of manufacturers and styles here to create an amazingly inspired army, great to have a continues theme running along with your very own scratch builds

How w you find the time and funds is only just astounding

Now have a great Christmas and prosperous new year mate and more tanks of course like you need them

Love the standard nice idea of mixing the cross with the imperial eagle in the corner

That camo is what ties them all together! from GW to Dreamforge, and my scratchbuilds.

Being forcibly retired due to disability/health issues is where the time and some funds come from. Have had to cut back so am focused more on painting and decals, plus I look for bargains, like I have at Miniature Market(Thanks Theo! )

You too! and I am a tread head, so armored vehicles are a fave still!

Oh Dreamforge standard comes with the cross and such as part of the plastic, it is raised up from the base flag surface, I simply used the colors, and have to touch up the black lines some, added the red to 3 of the corners, yellow to the one and flt the Aquilla would be good on the yellow field!

Now, still using those Russian tank decals, i worked on the one vehicle that can be a Hydra, or a Medusa (swappable weapons! Dust has such great ideas for their minis!)

So, I have images of that and am ready to post those to show off the whole thing. Using the Hydra set up

Need to check my Dreamforge haul never realised the standard had raised surface looks cool anyway nice colour choice.

Those Dust tanks have tempted me I have to say but was not to sure of the scale, could I ask a favour if you don't mind mate

Would you take a pic with a mad robot mini next to the dust tank, I want to use my trench coat guys with it but have been concerned as to the scale match.

Only if you don't mind of course, what decals are you using for the stars ? Are they dust or an alternative make ?

Yeah, Dreamforge has the most awesome toys soldiers out on the market.

No problem, I will have some scales for the thing using my Mad Robot Weytani republic troopers with Dreamforge as well for scale shots!

I bought a couple of sheets of the Russian Airforce Insignia by Begemot, forgot the dealer I bought them from, but need to order more as I used up the smallest of the stars!

So, both tanks have alternate weapons, and are roughly 1/48th scale heavies. their mass can be seen here using Dreamforge Eisenkern/AgentG/Weytani trooper

That should do! Plenty of scale references as 2 of the men have 25mm bases, the gal is on Dreamforge 32mm base

Cheers Shas scale up nicely with MRM so that's cool, how easy would it be to alter the tracks to be covered do you think ?

I just want to sci-fi them up a little so was thinking of enclosing the track sections, do you think this is possible ?

I saw a conversion on here somewhere using Dreamforge bodies with scion heads, they looked totally awesome and could make some truly great scouts or even assassins

Covering the tracks will take a bit of plastic card shaping work to do, basically extending the hull "wings" to attach the side armor to cover the wheels. To go over more, would mean making front/back fender guards.

Hmmm, scion heads are far bigger than the eisenkern ones, GWs over sized everything bits

I saw the same conversions with the scion helmeted head and thought it looked fantastic. Not enough to make me buy GW stuff, but really nice.

Damn, it's a crying shame I haven't stopped by more often... you've made some tremendous progress!

I love that camo scheme on all of your tanks, it's fantastic.

Your emplacement/turret is really cool.

That... is a lot of tanks! The Tank Police theme song keeps bouncing around in my head while I scroll past all of the sweet tanks!

Also I love Ash grey. I think that one and concrete grey have long been the wonder twin combination I call 'magic grey' which was my go-to two-step base-highlight grey combo for...ever. Ran out of those and switched to Minitaire because the whole set was fairly affordable, but anyway... it's a good shade of grey (and field grey is a nice alternative when you *don't* want to use the other two).

Yeah, I was wondering where all my usual suspects had been.

Ty it takes time to grow on you, my "Highland-Tundra Camo"

I need APCs for the Apocalypse level games, I was used to playing, get the troops across the field as fast as possible and intact as possible!

Ah, Tank Police! I ought to watch that again.

Yeah, I need to snap picks of the ruins I am working on, using stone gray and concrete gray as ai also like the color. I use a lot of interesting colors when the situation calls for it. I made the ruins "Blue tenement" and "Green Tenement" as the picks will show how that works.

I have to say, the mol;ding was decent, and i could put the model together with the lowest amount of fuss, (I need a box of rubber bands to hold parts together while glue sets), some clean up was needed on some bricks and turrets than others, I have been pretty lucky so far with buying from PW so I might just get me some new Ursus aka "Bear" APCs once I can swing it. drill holes to set rivets and make them fit right in! One or two of the 6 bricks I bought had bubbles in the underbelly I could hide.

So many crazy ideas tried during those years! BA-10 is a nice design, can't wait till I get it over here to work on! I have a lot o ideas on the burners, some more tracked "landing craft" style platoon or squad moving APCs to build, and a idea for an "H" tail Vertibird to be my "Valkyrie",

As can be seen here, the Bricks have wider tires, as they are a bit more like wheeled tanks, it makes sense so that they can maintain decent ground pressure on soft terrain. thew armor layout also shows that they steer the Bricks just like a tank, so one side stops or goes reverse while the other side stays forwards, allowing the machine t steer much as a tank with treads would as the front tire shows no way to swivel.

[/img]

Brick can hide most of the Keilerkopf
[/img]<

Keilerkopf hides most of the Brick, except the weapon turret

the vehicles may not share length of vehicle, but they oddly are about the same width

Keilerkopf is no armored car, it is an armored heavy truck! (Lorry for our England based pals)

All looking absolutely brilliant. Look great together as well. The bricks look to me to be mega heavily armoured. So in my head they are true close quarters assault tanks, designed to support the troops and provide cover. That armour would be to defend against even melta fire at close range. It just looks believable to me.
Also looks a bit ripe for the plucking for my Orks !

Yes, and I figured to make them a tough armored brick. more expensive than Chimera by 10pts for 1pt you side armor. and then the weapon system turrets being Twin-linked adds another 5pts, the the cost of the weapon plus the half price for the things means likely 90-110pts per vehicle.
Ceramite armor would blunt melta attacks.

(Jeremy Clarkson voice) "NO! no! no! do not let those Orks anywhere near my bricks!"

So, now that we have admired the Polish sourced "Bricks" aka Taurus, we now move onto some work on the other Polish machines I have bought, and pointed out the odd casting and other issues that made them not for the new modeller, a pain for the moderate modeller and more seasoned modellers,,,,,the Warchimera made "Hammer". I found out on the Intwerebs that after some harsh reviews like mine, that they took 4 pieces for the main hull and made it one huge block filled with whatever sprue they had to help fill it, (Down and dirty casting!), but yet they insist on keeping those poxy, 2-part wheels with the huge flash which does more damage to the parts, rather than make solid tires. Gravengames.co.uk dia their own review of the kit

Hull, they also molded the vision plates so make that 6 parts

7 parts become one

Anyway, I did more work on the Hammers, and added heated metal and rust

Heavy Bolter Hammer # 242

[/img]

Laser cannon Hammer #240

Flame cannon Hammer #241

So, if I were to buy the Hammer again, I would also order Zinge tires and metal rod for superior tires and axles

Thanks Cam! Been admiring stuff on your pages as well,

Now I said I also applied decals to the attack buggies which look so futuristic, and here they are, the hull red stars are on different spots trying out the differences.

Backside marking

[/img]

Other markings, but I may have to paint some red and white to fix the crack in the star on the nose of that one #27

#26 got it's hull star on the driver hatch

Exhaust vents, more of a heat dump/pressue release from the micro-reactor drive

winches and cables, and side by side you can see the differences, also, I am seeing they are touch up hungry!

Love these, they do look awesome, agreed though your NOT BRDM-2 is better looking.

Um, there is something about the rear view on those latest, not sure what it is, trying to decide if it needs to have a wider wheel base, or it's too high, something sits funny with me. Still look brilliant, just me being silly.

Post by: Theophony

@Cam, I think its the strut that connects to the wheel. It doesn't look like it could drive the wheels to me. That combined with the high stance. I think if that part was less curvy and more armored looking then it might also fit the rest of the aestetics.

Each wheel on the strikers is on it's own rocker arm, they can be set anyway the driver needs for mobility, high to low. Each wheel has it's own internal motor, just like the arrangement on the Dreamforge Keilerkopf

Ukraine order for Russian star decals and Ba-10 is still not tracked since leaving Ukraine on the 24th last month. I will have to let them know no word so far.

Dreamforge Order is shipping, so HMG Keilerkopf will have rocket launchers added, Cannon version no need, and 3rd Keilerkopf to be the Loki/Zeus variant.

I know that feel... USPS always pleased me by showing a full and detailed tracking for my shipments, but for now almost no regular post service provides tracking of international small packages on their side, which makes me really really sad... Good thing is, regardless of tracking service, packages are getting delivered.
You can get some information on your package via placing an enquiry at USPS or calling them, but usually it takes a several days for them to sort out your request.

Speak of a devil and it appears! The package showed up yesterday, model and decals all. I am armed with fresh batch of red stars for my models, and a quite smallish looking vehicle. Time will tell once it is finished, but it seems a rather "cozy" fit for a 4-man crew!Pics of the Ba-10 from back in it's day showed it as not a huge machine at all anyway.

In fact this picture shows little more than a "pick up truck" made 5-ton armored vehicle.

And this museum shot makes me feel better about it, look how tall people are next to it

Well seeing as how Mark made it a wheeled modernistic version of the WW-2 Halftrack, that makes sense. I could also see someone doing that and orkifying iot to be a Gunwagon!

I think it is a 105mm Howitzer or a 75mm High Velocity AT cannon, based on which way you go with it.

Littletower wrote:New Hanomag is looking great, but I still prefer the cute little BA-10 from above!

Yeah the 1/48 scale BA-10 is cute. I will give it bigger MGs with cut off Eisenkern rifle muzzles. 45mm will stay the same as a light Auto-cannon.

Considering the one I converted to have a pair of auto feed belt cannons in my splintered pattern like the troops and Leviathan, I think I may do that to this one.

The Ba-10 will get the usual Highland-Tundra

Hey grim! According to Mark, the maker of these things, if his game rules were to get going, the Hannos are a power supply base on wheels as the reactor provides re-charges for other vehicles and such. The camos are just 2 not three, once i get done, the mobile cannon will have a similar look to the one with the twin-linked auto-cannons.

The story behind that 2 camo thing is the elite status of the Kreugerian Republic troops amongst the forces of the Union, having shown and earned an ability for war that makes them pretty much a notch higher than other Republics' soldiers forces.

I KNOW I AM JOINING THE PARTY LATE , but i am sure its already been pointed out that in reality games like Wh are more like 32mm not 28 , which means they are actually closer to 1:48 scale . that scale just looks small compaered to the figs because a lot of the kit stuff GW began with and continues with is more like 1:35 scale .

but my point is that there has been a slew of companies that have been putting out 1:43 scale vehicles , especially for WWII , like the FRENCH halftracks and british scout cars , etc ..... and are easily found on ebay if you search for 1:43 in diecast diecast

While the 1:48 scales are closer to their size use, GW made their 28-32mm figures with some 1:35 scale features,, and some vehicles have weapons listed as on size, Heavy Bolter as 37mm, but to 1:35 scale, the barrels match 105mm cannons on the tanks, and it gets silly from there. smaller early war 1:35 scale vehicles like armor cars, half tracks and tanks still translate to normal 40k sized machines, Tiger Tanks can be the base for a super heavy, or Ork Battlewagons.

The Dreamforge vehicles are pretty big, and set for the use by the Eisenkern soldier miniatures, but they also can fit WH40K as the Odin is a more reasonable scaled battle-cannon, and the Loki a more reasonably scaled Vanquisher gun. The quad HMGs on the basic could be a more mobile Sabre machine gun platform so paired twinlinked Heavy Stubbers as it were, making 6 x re-rollable shots.

But yes, I am thinking most of our community can see that GW has a weird concept of scale.

Driver and gunner are already painted and sitting at their stations, plus 2 more for the Gun I have them partly done.

Wow, that's a pretty cool camo pattern - works nicely on that APC.
Will you give it a wash and highlight, or call it done?

Thanks about the Camo pattern.

Video footage has them screaming as they launch as well.!

supply drop for my self-gift late birthday arrival, Legs, arms, weapons, boxes to stow on the APCs. as I had a LOT of APC denizens, and soon some that can drive once I get the right machines. But for now the Kruegerian Republic has supplied the Union with more troops!

Hi all! I got to work yesterday and have assembled a full squad, (sadly they were out of the running and walking legs, so I went with a lot of the weapon team legs, so standing and kneeling squads are what I have, and here is the first squad, the Sgt is wearing the last of the Panzer-grenadiers masks/helmets (which were originally the DF Kriegsmarine drop trooper ones). Gives him an interesting look that provides protection, yet also lets you know he is in command with the one machine pistol and mag-occulars.

This squad is also armed with a Panzerfaust, suad support gun and a plasma AT rifle (also the last ones left. So here they are!

Hi all! I decided to make the last 6 guys kind of special troops, they have the but guards and helmets I used from the Valkir, they are getting grenades, and special pouches one I had to make do with a different piece for a should pauldron as I lost one it seems.
So the special "Dire Wolves" with their Wolf-Snaut masks, and the other odd bits. and I did a head swap, using a WH Scion head, Beret and eyepatch for the leader.

I call him Sergeant Hasselhoff, or as he is known to many, Der Hoff!

The Dire-Wolves will drop for any kind of mission, of the Kreugerians, who are already like Mandalorians, these guys are elite amongst the elite just as much as the Nacht-Jaegers, and the Jungle Kommandos. (I will give them a green base, but use the Nacht-Jaeger camo patches of grey and black for a distinct look!

It is so nice to see I have fans! I have a new base color that will fit the Dire Wolves team. It is labeled "Jungle Camo" and is a green based paint. added with the black and gray splinters, they will stand out from the others and Nacht-Jaegers!

Once done with the troops, I have a small TD in the works, some more troop crawlers, and I am working in my head a Verti-Bird/Valyrie air craft for the rest of this year!

Vik, I saw the eye-patch, recalled his being cast in a cheesy 90's Marvel movie as Nick Fury, and just had to go for it!

Yeah, as you pointed out, the comically bulky GW flamer was a bit much! the WGF flamers from the Greatcoats was better scaled, and fits in better.

Grew up reading those Marvel Comics, They gave Captain America the Howling Commandos in the movies,,,was good to see them brought to life. Now as for the colors, the black is the base primer, then I applied the Muddy Olive for the main armor and helms, the Mask, knee and elbow pads are Field Gray, and the under body suit of ballistic material is Military Gray, all in dropper bottles by Reaper Paints. I can see the Field Gray will need touch ups as the Muddy Olive seems to have slipped onto some of the masks,

But do not worry, Der Hoff will lead the Dire Wolves to victories!

Theophony wrote:Definitely like the more streamlined flamer. Just goes to show you how awe-full GW scaling is.

Oh yeah! their hands are the same scale as 1/35 scale soldiers, and the weapons are way comically large, I mean, looking at how big the Leman Russ Battle Cannon is compared to a 1/35scale MBT cannon, they call it in their diagram as a 120mm Battle Cannon, it is several times bigger than an actual 1/35 scale main gun of the 125mm on my 1/35 scale T-64!

Anywhoo, here is the 2nd squad I made from that last drop.

Rust-O-leum American Accents black primer, also useful for the other mediums, resins, woods, metals, as well as the plastics.

No problem, I will look at them and the rust-o-leum does a silky finish for a primer, must be that bonding tech.

Okay, I see the paint used on that tank could use another coat, no heavy ones, just keep them light and they will layer well, and smooth. Also, the road wheels can uses more solidifying the colors so that they have the whole wheel colored right, not just those ribs. But nice projects, the MOBAT I assume the Wolverine is different machine based on what I saw.

The Gunadm model, I will warn you, the torsions are brittle, best to fill them with some putty, and some wire as it can be easy to crack them, as mine did while transporting it for a Apoc fight.(I did not glue the upper deck to the hull for emergency repairs, it helped me a lot for repairs, allows for the treads to come off easier for fixing things in case what happened to me hits the model).

But so far good stuff, you ought to make a thread for that work

No problem, it is an expensive kit and should not have such issues, but they went hollow on the arms for the torsion suspension as you could see.

I have visited, and so will likely haunt you ,

right now, I am simply covering bare spots, and then touching up other areas before I detail and camo

I've always been partial toward traditional military colors, like burgundy (my fave), for berets.

But if you've settled on the shade of green I'm seeing, light blue might be a better choice.

They will be getting an interestingly different than usual camo mix on their armor, and I have a color called "Deep Red" that is very much a wine/burgundy reddish color. I also have some deep greens such as Pine Green, and I have plenty of blues. I also wondered about black, but that will be the eye-patch(classics).

Now that's a different camo, the blue/green and black looks really striking next to each other.

Really nice work on the detail.

Yeah, to me it reminds me of the effect you sometimes see when people are trying to give the impression of some sort of invisibility cloak being activated.
There is always this glowing transitional effect between the two different colours or whatever.

Well, they are a sneak in and out kill team kind of squad.

Arthritis sucks, I've got it starting in my left ankle.

I like the camo scheme. Your army on parade would be fun to show to people on LSD (so I hear )

I have to say that I admire your ability to paint camo patterns so cleanly free-handed. I'm constantly having to go back and do touch ups when attempting it, before I finally get it half-way decent.

Looking good so far.

@Vik: Thank you Buddy! wow, 250.

@Oldravenman: Thank you, it is not easy, especially with the colors like trying to stay in those lines with a tiny brush.

I just realized the camo has that effect on the eyes like the blue spotted octopus.
