i think it looks like you did an excellent job on detailing the troops, but i am a bit biased against the muted colours on the outside surfaces... the "green" with that faded red just looks too sleepwalking to me... i think it needs a bit of a stronger hue... i am with you with a green and red....that always looks good... but i think they currently look way not finished... but that is purely based on the hues...not on the amount of work put in already...
I am going to do touch ups, but the washes or inking I need to do....I could do thrakka green on the armor, or black wash,,,,,,Brown ink wash for the coats I will try.
Yes, not my usual established colors, but these guys are from an opposing faction afterall.

opposing colours to your main faction is all good and legit, was just saying that the colours currently don´t pop enough...but post-wash these will look differently better^^. if i may be so bold...green wash and maybe even a blue wash for he green could work quite well...and brown wash for the reds...aye...i call that a plan^^

I will test a shoulder of 3 soldiers, black wash, green wash, and blue wash to see how the green reacts.

It is my own thing, they are the Shipment Guardians of the Trade Worlds Cartel who buy their wargear from the Ad-Mech. For that they transport Mechanicus shipments at the lowest costs, just to cover fuel food only. All other worlds must pay full prices.

Well, the gear is looking one way, but no rads. Just armor and laser weapons electro gun and plasma set to splash. no armor punching allowed on ships

Shas, I hate to say it, but I'm not digging the green armor. The base color you used looked good, but the wash seems to be gigiving off a very mottled look. It's making their armor look somewhat Nurgle-ish.

It could probably use a sepia wash to bring out the details, and mute the white a bit.
When I read camoflauge on a spaceship, I immediately thought of a black ship with a star field painted on it.

The ship also can land it's 730meter bulk planetside, so camouflage to deal with hiding on the ground, the white bands were inspired by the old Kriegsmarine, from a distance, visually at least, makes the ship seem smaller.

Glad the details helped it. the red are the torpedo door covers, they can sit in water, but are space craft.

Well, the Plague pets are one thing, but the people based Plague monsters as can be seen, still can use technology, they have their ability to work things out, but their pain from the transformation have driven them to madness! Now the Plague Zombies from Mantic are just those who responded less well, and are mostly dead, but the nano-plague has them up and running as well.

I am disabled, and have no job to stop me once I get a major manic mood to get stuff painted or built. The other fellas can attest to some speedy work in construction and the painting, as you saw the paint work.
And Vick, I am wondering if they should be done one in my standard, the other in the splinter pattern?

Manic or calm, the amount of care and commitment you put in clearly shows through. training concentration is something I admire.
I work at home myself because I'm, well, incapable of working elsewhere. Not in any, "I'm better than this job..." way either.
But... being home can be pretty isolating, which I think is why we end up attracted to these creative things. 'Tis a fantastic freedom.

That and video games in between.
I have the plague about ready for their red ink wash which makes them look a tad like their changes caused them to be bathed a bit in their own gore due to skin ripping as they grow larger too fast,

that IS a good question... it would make sense for both schemes...blue grey one: scout cavalry fast recon missions...
green, orange scheme...it´s probably even better for this kind of fast paced and hard hitting vehicle to be a "member" of your stormtrooper faction...since you ordered two already it leaaves you the soft option to have both schemes... but if push comes t shove...hmmm...i´d vote for your classic scheme... imho

Thank you! I was shooting exactly for folks who grew out of their own skins for the most part due to the beefed up muscles, spikes, and extra vertebrae in their spines,
I happen to have the sense of ants, electrically charged fire ants in my own legs and feet due to Neuropathy. I have to take pills that makes that go away so sleep is possible.

Nemesis attack/patrol cars arrived, I need to show the pieces from one, it has some gaps I noted, but with plastic shims, and grey stuff, those should be easy fixes.
Parts; I note the anti-mine/I.E.D. boat like hull design of this vehicle, explosions meant to have reduced impact on the cars as the lower hull send the blast waves to either side and away from the car.

Indepent 4 x 4 drive, so all the wheels and suspension are independent of each other, th main engine in the hull provides the wheels the power to their independent hub motors.

I took pics of it alongside the largest Garmillas mini plane I have a 100ft long beast, and the SA-77 is still more spread out, and also has other tricks up it's sleeves

[/img]
The secondary Particle weapons
[/img]
Tail/wing/drive/weapon system
[/img]
Both full outfitted sections for the rear

Next to the torpedo bomber, the new ship is a ship, less a fighter bomber than a full patrol gun-boat! Besides the wing mounted Warp/Ion engines for normal space and making FTL jumps, the weapons are 2 x ship killer, and 4 x multi-role missiles, 4 x particle beam cannons of 99MM aperture, and the main long range firing 280mm Particle Beam lance, automated 33mm triple barreled particle pulser MG system. Crew of 2, and a shield system. Has roughly a 2 week mission parameter. Standard carrier load out of 30 craft of this kind.

It's from the old Sega CD game, Silpheed. There were sequels on the PS2 and the 360.
I've actually kind of been wanting that kit for a while. How was the assembly and parts fit? This was Plum's first game-based kit, so I've been very hesitant. I'd bought the Atelier Sai Vic Viper kits back when they came out and those things had terrible parts fit. I'd prefer not to repeat that mistake with this thing.

Love popping back here and seeing that you have purchased the entire releases of every manufacture of the last 2 to 3 months
Plus you have some cool roommates tell them from me I shared a house once all the bastards did was steal gak and leave the milk out
Anyway back to the cool stuff crazy painting check, tons of models check, reviews check, conversions now that is cool I like where you went with that.
The Hanomag looks awesome especially with the added turret, I like the way you stripped back the detail on the kit leaving only the rivets (of course).
We was having a discussion the other day on FB about using other scale miniatures and what would work best for 28mm / 30mm, the overall answer was anything LOL although some good tips came out of it.
Main ones being 1/48 all though good in size comparison needs to be widened for that heroic look, as for 1/35 needs to be shortened to give that squat like look of 40k.
Although a lot of people said even some 1/35 could benefit from widening, which made me think (to late now of course ) maybe if you added some PC strip down the middle you might have gotten a bit more foot room in the back.
However I think it looks pretty cool as is and most vehicles seem cramped to be honest especially military use anyway, I like the way it looks like an earlier version "predecessor" to the DF version.
Will you be adding any stowage to the out side, maybe some grip handles or side ladder ?

I make small purchases of the newest stuff, can;'t get the whole ranges all at once, LOL
I will tell them LDD
While 1/48 and smaller 1/35 scale can work for the 28mm games ranges, GW went comically huge so that the real life scale weapons of the 1/48 and the 1/35scale even seem puny. Present, HB models are allegedly 37mm shell tossers, yet they have 100-125mm sized muzzle openings, and the Battle cannon swallows 125mm cannons with plenty of spare room, making it seem more like 1/35 250-300mm openings!
1/35 scale Pz-II is exactly chimera footprint in size.
I was going to use screen materials ad rods to make a stowage bustle on the rear and maybe sides of the turret. I will be adding a hatch and hand grips on the rear back roof, 3 x viewports and gunports covers along the sides of the Hanomag. Maybe some hand grabs for lifting up a tooper to reach the turret and such on the sides of the turret as well.

Ha sounds like it's all covered then with those details added should blend nicely, I like the idea of a roof hatch and ports should make a great chimera stand in.
How do you work out your buying choices then ? Is it an on going theme or just a case of I like that I am having it ?
Yes GW scaling is completely messed up! But I kind of like the craziness of it, it's the childhood thought process that anything goes plus I use the rule of cool over reality when producing models if it looks good it works

The rule of cool rules my choices. If it looks cool, and I like it, I try to make it work, so hence the idea of the Khadrovian Union being a host of different worlds where they have the same book of philosophy and the red star uniting them all. Once the others find them they go over the similarities of their shared background from that same colonizer fleet that got scattered and they work on re-uniting against the harsh universe. I have it all set to also work on the Warpath system and other game systems.
Of course my Enforcers in DZ/WP would be against the Union as it is a non corporate body politic

The fact that the Leman Russ' BC is too big is also shown as it not only can eat a 125mm gun from a 1/35 scale Russian tank,,,,they originally listed it as a 120mm gun itself.
And it is a 28mm scale tank that has a gun far larger than 1/35 scale MBT cannons

Well that's an imperial mm (mega meter), not a millimeter . See the emperor IS compensating for some other short comings. it's the same thing that makes everyone believe that Napoleon was a shrimp. The French inch was larger than the imperial inch so when they said he was 5'2" or whatever, he really translated to be closer to the current 5'9" so was average height back in the day.

Truth is, I ran out of the handles, other wise I would have used more, I may remove them if I find I can replace them with other Zinge handles, similarly tall handles I may add.

I did better! I found my very last Zinge Handles, I may have to place a new order with them for bits and bobs for vehicles and tank making! I also have an order to pay for for OMN's stuff.
Anyway, here it is with the Zinge handles I had left so the theme stays as solid

Oh, you mean the doors that seem to love opening all on their own? Hard to fix, but they do need some interior painting, and that may stiffen up the action just enough to stop that loosey-goosey action they have now.

Thanks guys! the blue-gray coat was place it on, let it dry, do it again so it is a triple base coat over the black which fought hard to pop through!
Well, it was working to make it fit, as another pointed out, I got the sides of the turret shaved down so it would fit the hull better, It still has some signs of hand made work on it.

The fact that the Leman Russ' BC is too big is also shown as it not only can eat a 125mm gun from a 1/35 scale Russian tank,,,,they originally listed it as a 120mm gun itself.
How would the scale of the Forgeworld battlecannon be compared to the GW one, would it be more like true 120mm?

Yeah the worst was the preparation for having that procedure. I will spare the messy details.
Yes, the hard shell armor of the Eisenkern/Kruegerian armor makes for that pattern very nicely.
LOL! Brother Vinni casts have that effect.

I was going for beefing up the B.o.S. guys I have already from Vinni and calling this bigger, bulkier suit to use as the newer T-60 that opens like a vehicle and such for FO-4
Oh the Vinni stuff is definitely high calibre sculpt-casts!
Dr H wrote:Good work, Shas.

Thank you doc, and now if you like those, I have some other works to share.
FO-4 has some interesting new additions for Powered armor, so here, jet packs, and heavy weapons I decided to give these Enclave troopers the Hellfire style helmets, probably the ugliest helmet in the Enclave arsenal..

I sculpted gray stuff on the bare arms of the commando powered armor I got, and please excuse my poor sculpt skills, I will have to now shave the rough spots down before applying primer and paint to them, but they have scavenging gear and the more traditional FO-2 "Ant-Head" helmets.

Thank you, I had seen Wyrmalla accomplish similar feats in his fallout thread, so I knew this would work out okay. As for the Reaper paints, I shake the bottles, some of their colors are meant as high-light, dry-brush colors, others seem to be foundation like, so I tend to carefully paint the minis and go over them again, the pigments are high quality, and I get much more paint for less money than GW paint pots, and as these are dropper bottles, less waste as long as I squeeze just what I need. I get them at 3.75USD per bottle of half an ounce capacity as opposed to GW 0.4 oz. at what is it now? 4.25USD per paint pot of GW? so they are quality, and they give more and cost less than GW.

Sorry Theo, seems my projects do lead you to temptations.
But the heads were cheap, about 15euros total for 3 sets. 16+USD to order and ship them, and the Dust guys as we know are low cost, BIG they may be, but hey, FO 4 has that bulky and big new power armor as shown in the trailers.
In that new big armor, you are almost as big as the deathclaws, and the gun has a way to let you know it needs to cool down, I love the "realism" with the barrels glowing red.

You have some of the plastic Mantic Peacekeepers, don't you? Is there any chance that you have some GW Ogryn as well? If so... could you please take a side by side pic of them so that I can see how big they are?
I don't have the normal GW Ogryns, I do have the Jovian Hammers by Mad Robot though. I have also restic enforcers, plastic new ones, and the Heavy enforcers, I will pose a GW IG trooper for scale with all mentioned minis. though.
Here is the whole line up. Left to right, GW Guradsman, restic enforcer, plastic enforcer, plastic Peacekeeper, Enforcer Captain, Jovian Hammer, supermutant by Brother Vinni

That is perfect.
I don't think I can get away with what I was aiming for so it has saved me a purchase
The next option for me are the big Teratons for Dreadball/Deadzone... a bit different but with a bit of tinkering, they will make fine Ogryn

No problem, the Jovian Hammers though do make good stand in for Ogryns, even though they look to smart as Ogryns.

The ever swelling ranks of Shas!
All those troops look fantastic, the head swaps making a great look to them.
The Mogs look spectacular, getting me itchy to go do something like it.
Got to agree with Vik back there, the camo jobs on the mogs are outstanding.
Lastly, I always think the GW ogryn models are just wrong. I can't reconsile how bloated they look. Those hammers look much more real to me, or even the Muties. GW seem to have taken the oversized hand bit just too far with the ogryn, I was really hopeful when they were redoing them last year, but no still bloated. Mind you bloated is cool for me, I tend to use Ogryn bodies for Super Nobz for me orks.

LOL! yeah, me and me soldiers!
Brother Vinni heads make them totally different don't they?
No worries.the cream/khaki base over the Olive green, then the desert tan for that camo.I used to use a more earth/dun color for the camo for the Kruegerian troops. But don't have it right now
These things are not that cheap, I got them from MM at discount
Thank you, thank you!
For large orky leaders yeah, the GW Ogs are better for that with the pot bellies and all. The Hammers look like BIG Humans, even the taller Supermutants,,,paint them in flesh of any ethnic colors, they just look like ugly BIG Humans!
So they do make a nice couple of squads of Ogryn types

It will depend on how Germans customs charges work. With the UK the combination of VAT and the nonsense they call procesing fee's or something similar can often wipe out any savings that you get from ordering abroad. Especially if the seller puts the cost of your order on the box as the full order including shipping instead of just the items. In the UK expect to pay 20% on top plus another charge.

Latest looks awesome, these guys are getting about a bit at the moment and definitely catching my eye.
Going to have to look into making myself a mule variant.
Those AT-43 power suits cam pre-painted.
Mule is likely possible having seen what you have scratch built Cam!
Well, to show a mule off, I have the Medic and his stretcher-mule

The Mule has diagnostics sensors and a control monitor/keyboard

Mule solid legs, Theo might feel relieved

I placed the one with the monocular on a separate base for ease of stowing away. the mule is also separate.

Next is the comms man, alone, he will be assigned a mule to pack his gear onto.

Automatically Appended Next Post: So, the commander is assembled, (sort of), ready for paint, which an order for some black primer for brushing on is shipping. and of course so are the Dr.H and Zinge orders. Anyway, speaking of orders, they made this fellow look very capable of handling the giving of orders to all the Stormies, Jaegers, and Valks I have, well, the Valks are sepparate and special. But the Panzer Jaegers and Nachtjaegers, and jungle commandos with the old guards and new will folow as this 10man and 3 mule set is more company command than platoon level! I just need to come up with a name for him.

Here shows an older, more seasoned man, and I think a Von should be attached to his family name.

High quality officers' pistol, and he has a close combat dagger with him.
[/img]
Holster for the pistol at his hip, and you can see if he needs it close, he can use that trench coat like belt to stay warmer or more formal looking at command meetings.
[/img]
These guys carry fore-arm length daggers!
[/img]
Here we see how he is not completely assembled as I wish to make him painted on the full leg armor, and the liner color of that cloak/coat before I put him together at last
[/img]
And one last dignified shot of the Noble Officer

LOL...probably not, as shaso uses mostly old established military personalities for namesakes of his models^^
the officer looks indeed very good, tho the pose with the dagger is that classic dual wielding schtick GW taught us^^...
the mules never did it and even your amazing construction work with these still can´t make them look any less puny...while i see there use, the look is too frail...
your AT-43 suits really are a cool find!!! i dunno why my irrational love for mechanical suits exists, but these sure are eyecandy galore^^!

Yeah, GW and the be ready for close combat, the pistol also counts as additional CCW!
Maybe the one hero, the one martyred Von Staufenberg?
Mules seem dainty, but are actually supposed to be durable if true metal.
Yeah the AT-43 power suits will make great Operators for hire!
GrimDork wrote:Commander looks good and commandery. I like him!

Glad you like them! They should be had as soon as possible though, I think the company is still in transition for distribution. But for a brief interlude, OMN's Weapon emplacement with Brother Vinni Commissar(This one avoids killing the troops where possible!)
