And Necrons.
Never enough
Yes, there is enough.
What faction don't we have on Crion?
More Guardsmen is always good, but I think we're at a good point as it is. No new factions are really needed.

Well, Dark Eldar get a reference from one of my characters. I'm terrible at expanding on it, but Seri comes from a line of Kroot who had eaten a respectable amount of Dark Eldar. I plan on having her use a splinter rifle when she isn't using a knife, and I'm trying to expand on her cruel side a bit more, but failing miserably.

Whaen in doubt, start ripping fingers off of captives
Well, she did cut up a man, eat his insides, and leave him to hang off of a street lamp without and limbs and left his face untouched so he'd be instantly recognized.

I feel a gorestorm is about to engulf Torcan
That is why, I'm just going to stay the hell away from that place. However, if need be, I shall send over a squad or two to help out. But only in dire circumstances

Is he married to Morai-Heg?

Morai-heg is an eldar goddess, I get it
She is the Goddess of Fate. Fate is a cruel mistress. Cegorach likes cruel. Cegorach x Morai-Heg

And a guardsmen sergeant with a lot of pent up anger to give the toys to. There's been rumors in the newer Histan ranks that Falkon's power fist is for the enemy's sake, not his.
Funnily enough TS didn't give me much regarding what happened to the Kernal. But after talking to Vanden I got the green light to fry him, so that's what happened. Plus I figured it might lead to some nice RP for my guys to send Vanden's guys the Kernal's head in a box.

Good for Hannibal, and bad for BadToof. I fear he may end up serving a feral soon if his bad luck keeps like it is.
And a preview of my Kroot hunting Edgar so far: Ta'lok teaching us all a thing or two about morals and will probably feature Grulkin repeating the scene in King Kong where the ape rips a T-Rex's jaw off.
Glad to have you back! You'll find that you've been untouched, and haven't missed anything particularly cataclysmic, perhaps except from a dragon waking up on the second moon.
That's the main reason I didn't pitch in with EC yet or have a central base. My boys in purple may now make their appearance.
I did write a little section that is a standalone afternoon for Garth, which I'll hopefully get to use some day. It's absolutely useless in terms of plot, but with his mind being in the past and future in this arc, I thought it was an interesting bit.

You're going to be rekt when I come after you Kharne. I have the might of TS on my side. You have no chance
I don't think TS is in any position to help Xeno to an Imperial. Especially not after the 'New Order' business...
And'd I'd be helping Kharne, so yea, have fun getting past my methodically placed traps.
The Arbiters technically have a debt to pay with Iybraesil. Be wary that I have an Inquisitor on my side and a significant network of spies.
A debt isn't as important as the Imperium. You'd be deemed a heretic and get blasted off the planet by any and all Imperial forces.I suggest against helping WK, for you have no power on Crion. Chazz holds all the pieces, it is up to him what shall be the fate of us.

I honestly think it should have been a one and done series. After the first one the premise just got downright silly
Yea, I have to admit, watching the first one gave me nightmares when I was younger, but the rest were either that stupid they were funny, or, as you said, downright silly. Almost sounds like the Predator franchise...

Definately. I still remember the iconic 'clicking' of the Predator, and the orchestral Jaws music. Oh I hate sequels...Nothing has impressed me lately...
TL;DR: -Taranis likes to bend rocks via warp fethery -Guardsmen arrive -Exitar makes some calls -Everyone get's together (Many an introduction) -Camp is set up outside of Torcan -Harlies know where I'm at and frankly I'm a little worried
Believe it or not, I liked the first and the second Jaws movies. I mostly appreciate them as low budget horror movies with a bit of a comedic thrill for me (My dad and I can't get enough of B-rated, low budget movies or over the top thrillers)

If they put as much effort into each LoTR book as they did for the Hobbit, we could have 27 hours of fething awesome.
Agreed. A map question, seeing as I have forces in both Hotch and Clerth, should I have a symbol in both territories?
I believe the symbol is for deployment zone, where your dudes have fortified a bit. As such, only your symbal should be where your deployment is. That's my perspective at least.

You don't have the man power to fortify two locations. A single company of Space Marines won't be able to hold two bases unless you are Iron Warrirors or Imperial Fists

Hey I've had this idea for a while and I've been holding off on bringing it up for reasons of laziness. I was thinking it might be helpful to have a quick glossary of important characters, places, and event attached to the original post of the COF2. I know that there have been a few times when i've lost track of who's who and what's what. I know something like that would have been helpful when writing a piece like the the governor's banquet. So what I propose is posting a glossary that has a short bio for each of our characters and NPCs. I don't know let me know what you guys think.

I was thinking it might be helpful to have a quick glossary of important characters, places, and event attached to the original post of the COF2. So what I propose is posting a glossary that has a short bio for each of our characters and NPCs. I don't know let me know what you guys think.
That would be a great thing to add to the OP of both the OOC and the CoF2 Thread.

Yes. Very much yes. There are so many characters... So... Many...

Well, here's mine. I've also attached a background of the cadre, in case it's ever relevant.
Sunstrike Cadre
Background
Spoiler:
A Tau detachment mainly composed of troops from Tash'var and Ksi'm'yen, the cadre was formed under Ethereal Aun'Chi to bring a detachment of Kroot rebels to heel and back into the Empire, or suffer annihilation. Whilst tracking the kroot, the cadre suffered huge casualties from various forces, leaving the remaining forces demoralised. Far away from the rest of the Empire and desperate, Sunstrike Cadre rose up against their fanatical Ethereal, murdering him and settling down on Crion.
Sunstrike excels at Mont'ka tactics, using a dedicated and skilled stealth cadre to study a target in detail before committing to a plan. However, when a plan is decided, the cadre's abnormally large Air Caste assets swoop in from the heavens and disgorge phalanxes of Fire Warriors and Crisis Suits into the fray. Mobile combat is the Cadre's forte, and this is echoed in the formation of their command bases.
Often, the various Orcas and Mantas the cadre fields serve as housing blocks for the units they transport, with other vehicles in various states of repair serving as storage bunkers and hospitals. This encourages the troopers to get a closer bond to their vehicle, as it is their home as well as transport, and allows for the entire cadre to mobilise if the main base comes under threat.
Previously, the cadre's task was to strike a faction of renegade Kroot from the Tau roster, but now, they simply seek to survive and find a calling on Crion.
Since Aun'Chi was murdered, their devotion to the Tau Empire has been severed. They still believe in a greatest good for the cadre, but these choices are made by a joint council, with squad leaders passing up their squad's wishes up the command chain up to the Shas'O himself. This allows for each soldier to have an input into the cadre's running and choices, as well as supporting communication through the ranks.
Sunstrike Cadre boasts an abnormal amount of auxiliary troops, nearly all of whom are Gue'vesa. Many Gue have risen strongly in the ranks, and are almost all seen as equal to their Tau brethren. The ratio between Tau to Gue is around 10%, increasing with every Imperial who defects to Sunstrike's cause. Their natural strength over Tau troops as close combat soldiers supports the cadre's fighting style, and has actually resulted in the cadre's soldiers being far more likely to engage in close combat if necessary, with surprising skill. However, due to the Cadre's limited Earth Caste innovators, no way has yet been found to transfer a human into a Battlesuit, although XV-15 Stealth Suits are compatible.
Due to this influx of Imperial troops, the Cadre swiftly found itself deployed against rogue Tau auxiliaries, such as Kroot or Demiurg factions. The human's experience with fighting against the Tau had been passed down, and now the Empire had a detachment which was skilled at actually eliminating rogue taskforces. This lead to their fateful Kroot deep-space operation, with fatal consequences to the Empire and Ethereal Aun'Chi.
Also having an in-depth knowledge of human methods of war and the Imperial war machine, the cadre boasts a strong competence against Astra Militarum forces, which will undoubtedly come into play on Crion.
Currently deployed in Kalhoon, on Crion.
Notable Figures
Spoiler:
Shas'O Tash'var Kor'Kauyon Mont'yr Kais Or'es Doran Gal'leath, or Commander Skyhunter - Leader of the Cadre, wields twin fusion blasters and fusion blades on his XV82 Crisis Suit. Now also sports a salvaged Blood Dragon Dreadnought's power axe. Favours getting in close for combat, and is accompanied by a retinue of Crisis Suits. Bound into the suit, due to crippling injuries suffered in battle.
Gue'vesa'El Vandred - Sub-Commander of the Cadre's infantry, wields a pulse pistol and power sword in his combat armour. Specialises in supporting and directing the cadre's Fire Warriors in the heat of battle.
Shas'El Ksi'm'yen Ta'serra Gal Runal Monat M'yen, or Sub-Commander Shadowbrand - The Sub-Commander of Sunstrike's recon formations, and directs and leads scouting operations to support the cadre's assaults. She wields a drone-enhanced pulse carbine with her recon armour, or dons XV-15 Stealth armour and totes a burst cannon into battle.
Fio'El Mirrorstone - Sub-Commander of the garrison. She handles the cadre's logistics, fortification, and drone defense net placement, but rarely takes to the field. Previously an Earth Caste Commander.
Kor'El Darkspear - Air Caste Commander, and directs and sanctions flight operations over Sunstrike's territories. Works closely with Skyhunter in planning the cadre's devastating aerial assaults.
Shas'vre Ghostwalk - Commander of First Reconnaissance Cadre, under Sub-Commander Shadowbrand. Prefers a Ghostkeel Battlesuit, although he has worn XV-25 Stealth armour when necessary. Very elitist and racist to the human auxiliaries.
Shas'ui Tsa'lan - Leader of First Pathfinder Team, after Shas'ui Vio'fas' death. Dislikes Ghostwalk, feels very outmatched in her role as Shas'ui, and has a close relationship to Harland.
Gue'vesa'ui Harland - Leader of Second Pathfinder Team. Human soldier, ingenuitive and skilled at combat, but deeply attached to his squadmates and affected greatly by surprise failures.
Also, I think it would be funny to strikethrough a name rather than delete it when said character dies.
What is this "death" you speak of?
IF a character dies (or leaves), strikethrough the name instead of deleting it. It would be good to see how many characters we actually kill off before the end of the Crusade.

Let's look at his Ultramarine fluff from the perspective of the most notorious Ultramarine, Cato Sicarius. The Ultramarines look the best don't they? Matt Ward has done much to convey that Cato Sicarius is a self absorbed donkey cave.

He's a donkey cave in the books too. The UM omnibus shows him as a pretty big donkey cave as well (although that book wasn't a particularly great example of 40k writing...)

Let's look at the Necrons from an outsiders perspective. The C'tan were mighty beings and were the gods of the Necrons, but no one remembers that. All they see now are the broken shards of broken gods. While the Necrons may still worship the C'tan, to an outsider it would appear that the Necron use them as weapons.

YES! Yes! Everyone who is pissed is probably likes the other chapters. Now how would it look to them if this naive, hot shot Sicarius came in to tell them that they suck, the Codex Astartes is baller (though Roboute said it wasn't to be used like Sicarius uses it) and that the Ultramarines are awesome. He elaborated on Sicarius being a complete and utter gakfether. He made other authors portray him in that way by writing him like that, He made Calgar seem like a arrogant glory hungry, pompous douchbag.
As far as I'm concerned, he fethed the Ultramarines harder than the fething Great Devourer.

Let's look at his Ultramarine fluff from the perspective of the most notorious Ultramarine, Cato Sicarius. The Ultramarines look the best don't they? But wait, its not the Ultramarines as a whole, its the Second Company under Cato Sicarius. Notice how we never hear about the first company or the other companies from the perspective of Sicarius. Matt Ward has done much to convey that Cato Sicarius is a self absorbed donkey cave.
Edit: Matt Ward's Ultramarine fluff was never about the Ultramarines as a whole, it was about Cato Sicarius and his interpretations of the Ultramarines
"Marneus Calgar is a Tactical Genius" "All other chapters aspire to be like the Ultramarines"
Yes, but what could he be voicing?
His main focus is too completely piss off the Veterans of the game with this perposterous gakstain of a book?
YES! That's why the Second Company is always portrayed instead of the others. He wants you to be mad at the Ultramarines for being stuck up gak holes.
So, Your saying, that one of the most loved Chapters, are now hated because of him, and it was a Just As Planned moment? God your too far gone to be salvaged...
No, they are hated because of Sicarius. Sicarius is the reason the Ultramarines are hated.
He made elaborated on Sicarius being a complete and utter gakfether. He made other authors portray him in that way by writing him like that, He made Calgar seem like a arrogant glory hungry, pompous douchbag.
As far as I'm concerned, he fethed the Ultramarines harder than the fething Great Devourer.

You are supposed to hate Sicarius. He and his second company are the poster child, Codex following, goody-two shoes Astartes that you aren't supposed to like. Look at the Uriel Ventris and the Third company. They don't follow the codex to the letter and they appear to be a normal company of Astartes. Look at Chaplain Cassius. He founded the Tyranid War Veteran, a non-codex adherent unit. Despite this, Sicarius is the gakky fether that needs to feel special and always be seen. He is the annoying show off, attention hogging arse hole of the entire Chapter. That is why you hate him.

Ok, so what your saying is that Sicarius is just the rotten apple in the bunch? Fething bullgak, He fethed the Ultramarines, He fethed the SPACE MARINES, and He fethed the 40K universe.
And by the way, Uriel is Captain of the Fourth company.

Yes he is the captain of the fourth, the ones with the green outlines, not the red.
Sicarius is the rotten apple. It felt so satisfying at his tantrum he threw at Damnos when he couldn't win.

The rotten apple that seems to have spread to the rest of the Chapter. Matt Ward has failed the Just As Planned.
