Being a bit fan of the team's work, I picked up SureAI's latest mod/ game Enderal. I've played it for all of maybe a half hour and damn, its just as good as everything which came before it.

If you liked the old Gothic games, or hell Risen its right up your street. All you need is a copy of Skyrim to play it (though I'd recommend downloading quality of life mods like camera improvers/ quick loot, etc).

So my computer went out of action halfway through Rise of The Tomb Ra it set, which I was really enjoying.

I've got that of to get fixed now however eventually I went through computer game withdrawals at which point... I looked over at my TV and remembered 'oh I have an Xbox 360."

So, I've Arlene the last few days playing Halo Reach and, I've got to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall it's the best Halo game I've played - played then all except 5. It came in a bundle pack with Halo anniversary so that's next on the list while I wait for my computer to return (hopefully).

I'm already dreading the stupid library of stupidness

Playing Borderlands Pre-Sequel.
Jack was right, Moxxi and original hunters are hypocrites
Spoiler:
"You're a psychopath", says the woman who built a gladiatorial death arena to find her next husband, who threatens the player character with murder and could have destroyed Elpis with a black hole

Nisha's pretty scary insane though, and you can tell Jack went off the deep end after
Spoiler:
being betrayed by Moxxi and Lilith. I guess Pandora does that to people

Playing Xcom 2 a lot .. I kind of screwed it up and let too much avatar progress happen before I realized I couldn't make contact with other areas till I had coms and power on my ship. I thought about starting over now that I know what to do, but I've already played a couple of days worth and don't want to start over.

It's fine, even if the bar gets full there's a count down. So build your coms and hit the nearest Black Site asap.

Getting intel on a black site gives you the option to attack it even without owning the territory it's in, iirc.

I think I have it under control now.. it's just kind of annoying. I'm 3 points away from the avatar completion. I hit a black site and knock a few points off, and then they just get em back before I can get to the next one. I'm trying to make contact and then I get a "OMG do this mission now or else" mission pop up, and then I do that, and then all my good team members are injured and I have to wait to hit the black site, and then I'm too slow and they get another point.

I was also getting my butt kicked by those mega bosses with tons of HP that cheat and get to move after like every single action you take. When I find them I just roll back to the last auto save, then make sure my guys are spread way out.. seems to keep them from murderizing everyone with the cheaty AOE attacks. Damn aliens.

That is why I always go for massed high explsosives and a silly amount of heavy weaponry when you get past the first parts of the game. In Xcom 2 I have found that it never pays to be cautious, and also get upgraded armour for your teams. Alongside better weapons or just upgrades from the fondery they make a huge difference

Yeah if i remember if you get a skulljack with skullmining you can find an alien base but i think that's only hardest difficulty (be glad you aren't playing but i am). If you need to get an alien base hack then check around advent relays and sometimes you'll find one. Same goes for hacking terminals which never have ill consequences. In fact terminal mission are so good in lower difficulties that unless you really need a reward from somewhere else you will pick it every time. If you're lucky and improve your gremlins a little you can get hack rewards such as hack skill increase, avenger scanning time cut in half for 4 weeks (every time you scan goods that appear after winning missions basically reduced to half scanning time), alien base intel, alloys, and other similar things. They also have rewards such as intel, delay dark events by 2 weeks and supplies. Those are the best though.

If you really want intel find yourself some alien data caches and advent datapads from timed loot drops. So basically be careful about blowing enemies up till you find one and then go crazy blowing things up. Seriously those things pack a good ton of data and if you have a good amount of scientists it's a good chunk of intel each time which is good for black market, territory expansion and finding alien bases if you got a facility lead.

-------

When you guys talk xcom 2 i gotta laugh a bit. I've been playing hardest difficulty on ironman and somehow made it to the end of july so far with about 4 avatar progress away from complete. Killed the codex, destroyed black site and took down an alien base and each had 2 bars of avatar progress from them. Honestly i don't think i would've made it as far this time without a friend's 'alien hunter' DLC he gave me. Those early weapons were a god-send esp. given my current build of armor first with tier 2 gear.

I've been enjoying Battleborn, and just started a re-playthrough of BL2 with a friend (for old times sakes).

CthuluIsSpy You're sort of right about
Spoiler:
the original Vault Hunters being hypocrites. The whole "gonna blow up the Eye because of intuition" thing was also really dumb (though it's a video game with video game rules, so the black hole was probably not going to endanger Elpis or Pandora). But then again, I played through as Claptrap, so maybe I shouldn't judge anyone's sanity.

Claptrap's explosive tree forces you to use a lot of Torgue, and his middle tree is best used in 2 player, but he has a lot of fun skills (maniacal laughter is really good for a first row skill) and his action skill never gets old. (BTW one of his skills along the line gives you the "torgue fiesta" mode. Never take that skill if you're playing with a team, it will probably kill them by accident.)

Currently waiting for the new Deus Ex game to finish downloading.

It's not enough these days to just "pre-load" the game on Steam. I had the game pre-loaded before launch, but I still can't play. Instead, I've been forced to sit through a lengthy period of time where Steam was doing something (I've no clue what) to the game files that didn't involve downloading anything, followed by a multi-GB download after the game finished messing around with the hard drive.

You would think that the developers could take care of this crap *before* the game goes live. That's what the pre-load is for, after all - to get all of the loading out of the way so that I can sit down and PLAY MY NEW GAME when I get home from work.

I'm still jealous though. I don't have enough RAM to run Deus Ex: MD. I can dream what it'd be like to play it i suppose. That game just seems so sexy. I need it so bad. HR was a great game. Dunno what the previous titles were like but i hear the original is still the best oddly.

-------

Still getting trolled in xcom 2. It's the avatar progress that killed me in my last good game. I made it to december 11th or so on Legend Ironman and killed all alien rulers (don't have spark content yet) and just couldn't lower the avatar progress in time. It's a shame as i was still holding in there too.

Same happened with Fallout 4. Bought the physical copy as I have very variable internet access. Stuck it in the drive and installed it, only to have it refuse to take anything from the disc, but to start downloading the newest version from on-line. I believe that there was about 5GB on the disk, and a further (23?)GB on-line. Why bother with physical media at all if you are not going to supply the whole program on it? I would have put up with swapping multiple discs around over waiting for over 3 DAYS to get to play the game I paid for!

Going back to the Elder Scrolls Online now that I have a new PC which can run it (they changed the min specs four months back which made Intel integrated cards more than a few years old obsolete).

This'll be a day of playing catch up with all my automated messages/ relearning the meta. I'm not too bothered about my high level tank, but I was putting a lot of time into min maxing a DPS rogue, so it'll probably take me weeks to get back to where I was with them stats wise (with a lv 43 nightblade armed with daggers and a load of CP I was doing the highest DPS in a group of 20 people in the IC dungeons, woo anim cancelling).

Besides that Fallout 4, because again new PC. No comments on that, its good, but I just don't have the time to play it right now if I want ESO and the time to finish a whole gaming board too. :(

Been playing space games after watching the NMS disasters got me back in the mood.

Was playing X3: Terran Conflict + Albion Prelude, and FTL until I found Astrox Hostile Space Exploration on steam the other night.

Astrox Hostile Space Excavation is by a one man indie dev who got sick of there being no singleplayer EVE-style space game so he decided to make his own.
Im having alot of fun floating around mining and shooting the occasional pirate.
The game provides a tonne of options as you start a new game that cover number of sectors, whether theyre in a linear path or not, your goal, number of stations, asteroids, and enemies and a heap more options to fine tune them too.

Astrox Hostile Space Excavation is currently $4 USD on steam sale til the 9th of september. As someone whos always wanted a EVE style singleplayer game, I highly recommend it.

Xcom 2. I have made it to february of the next year on hardest difficulty on Ironman mode. I may actually beat this one as i'm now fairly reliably winning. It can still go either way and this is really exciting and stressful. For those not in the know xcom is like dark souls. It's super hard and on hardest difficulty it's hardest of all esp. on ironman mode where you get one constantly updating save.

Capt Kurnow is the uncle you have to save, right? Did you take his unconscious body to the designated safe spot? If you don't, the game counts him as dead. I think its implying that after the mission, the overseer's goons find him and kill him if he's just lying around.

It honestly wasn't that bad of a game to me either... but after a week or two, I literally hit a wall where the game became so much less than fun. Part of what killed it for me was the repetetiveness of everything, plus, when I have A Thing that breaks and it gives me the recipe to repair it, and one of the items to repair says "create in inventory tech" but I can't do that because I apparently don't know how to make that thing, plus I have to rely on super random element generation on each planet/system in order to fix The Thing it stopped feeling so much like a game to me, and a bit more like "work"

OT: I traded No Man's Sky in last week and picked up Mad Max again. While it apparently pulled a save file from near end game out of the cloud or something in which I have a near maxed out ride, I decided to restart a game to clear everything the "right" way and see where that goes.

It's pretty cool that they embedded all the levels of Rayman Origins into the new game. I wish more franchises would do stuff like that.

The music levels on Rayman Legends are just fantastic. I'd be super happy to have an entire game with nothing but those types of levels.

ESO, oh how I have missed the silliness of PUGs.

Joined a group in the second easiest Raid. Its me, a guy with half my levels, and two level 30s. My and the other leveled guy are DPS, the low levels are a "Tank" and a "Healer.

The "Tank's" armed with a bow, no shield and heavy armour (armour and a bow is a crap build on a good day), plus doesn't have one taunt ability slotted. The "Healer" is armed with an Ice staff.

Queue the Tank yelling at the healer for being crap all Raid, and me, the DPS (who somehow has more health and armour than all of them, and I'm a glass cannon) acting as the tank (because it takes all of 10 seconds to slot a taunt skill as any class).

When I was a low level I didn't do Raids till I'd completed the main quest and reached at least level 50. I don't really get low leveled players, with no ability to resurrect other players, only one action bar, and the odd inability to know that red areas are death/ how to block attacks, find themselves in Raids.

Meanwhile...

Two new Raids have came out as DLC. I've only played one of them, and its nice to see the Veteran level complexity in a Normal level dungeon. Besides that though, some of those boss mechanics can go to hell. Spamming knockback, making you blind and then throwing insta-kill zones everywhere, that sort of thing. You get used to that, but with the new group finder its horrible trying to find players competent enough to run it (the game takes 20 minutes to find a group, which then disbands itself and you have to wait 15 minutes after that to find another group. No more find a group <1 min and then being able to join another one automatically anymore).

Trying out the Battlefield 1 Beta. The gameplay is fine, but I feel really underwhelmed by the "World War One" aspect. I teach history, with a bit of focus on World War One and it just doesn't feel right.

I was always sceptical about World War One translating to a video game, but everyone is just running around with SMGs, the tanks are flying all over the place at high speeds. I don't know what I expected... but I'm still disappointed.

The actual game play and merits of it as a game seem fine though. The guns feel good, the Beta map that you play on looks cool, especially when the fog rolls in or a sandstorm comes up on you obscuring visibility. But it doesn't really seem like it would matter if this was World War One, World War Two, post-war, alternate universe, etc. it would still play the same way. It just has the skins to give the appearance of World War One era technology.

I'm still enjoying my peaceful exploration of the universe in No Man's Sky. It is such a lovely game. Also dabbling in Mech Warrior Online- I may just pick up one of the resistance packets for the extra colors, and the tremendous eyesore of the Cataphract loyalty variant. It looks like they armored a mech in mood rings! If it turns out it shifts color as it moves, I'll be totally in.

I thinks it's more Dice and that they increasingly have lost what made BF1942 and Vietnam such great games. After the fiasco of what they did to the revamped Star Wars Battlefront and cutting so much that that made Battlefront 2 a nice little title I'm a bit wary about signing up to BF One.

As for what I've been playing this evening, that's Mordheim and kicking some butt with the "The Sashed Blades"!

I'm rather sad about how little, well, trench warfare is in BF1. I figured that the modern military shooter, with its 'die? just respawn and run back to the front lines!' mentality would allow for a decently meat-grinder-y experience. But like you said, aside from having a few more semi-autos and horses, it seems like just a re-skinned Battlefield not-1.

Also saw that Factorio now supports achievements, so we may dive back into that for a bit as well.

All we need now is for Stardew Valley to finally get its coop mode and we're really taking.

After years of denouncing it, I caved in and bought Call of Duty: World at War on a Steam sale. Actually looks a bit better than I expected. Hopefully it will fill the short linear FPS void once filled by Halo. Still skeptical about the multiplayer however, and will likely avoid that.

On a side note, just realized Borderlands 2 is strangely relaxing for a shooter game. I'm still trying to figure out why this is the case.

Eh, I found Borderlands 1 more relaxing.
I found the barrage of meme nonsense, garishness and non-sequitors in BL2 irritating. Its a good game, in that the gameplay is fairly solid, but the writing and atmosphere is inferior to its predecessor.

IMHO BL2 is mildly relaxing, and BL1 is more so. A lot of that is the lack of lots of suprises (or at least ones that make you have to respond), and how you can play it very slowly, headshotting your way through bandit camps from a distance then either repositioning with phasewalk/deception for a multikill or pressing F and letting the game play itself for you with your turret/pet bird/deathtrap/meat bicycle mode. Plus the music out of fights is pretty calming, so travel isn't stressful.

BL1 was the first game I played where I felt like I made a character who was overpowered. I'm normally not attentive or patient enough to set up my skills right in those kinds of games, but phasewalk ended up being crazy powerful even with my confused choices.

And yeah, it was pretty fun and relaxing too.

I just played Hearthstone (non-training) for the first time, and I won. Against another human person, I guess. Not sure how that happened.

Yeh, Phasewalk is pretty OP. Try Brick. He's tough, and deals a lot of damage, but you will probably die a lot anyway as his action skill is basically "WAAAAGH! Charge the gi - oh zog I'm dead".
You will probably kill what you're punching, and its pretty good at taking out Badasses and bosses early on, but you will die eventually.

I blew my one friend's mind the first time we played together. He'd only ever played Roland and, uh, the Firehawk before. We went in against 9-Toes, and I just Raged and punched his face in, first try, 10 seconds of fight. He had no idea I could do that, and his reaction was amazing.

I did the same thing
The fight was over in no time. Easiest boss fight ever.
His ability seems to be a bit useless though in the Zombie DLC; for some reason my punches can't reach the end boss, and its really easy to get immobilized and stunned thanks to defilers and tankensteins.

Playing Borderlands 2 now, now that I finished BL1 as Brick (only on playthrough 1 though).
By the way, late game Brick is an absolute beast. Once you complete his tank tree he becomes really hard to kill, and completing the blastmaster tree allows him to deal some incredible damage as well. His active is still useless against some bosses, but really you don't need it, as you'll be dealing a lot of damage with guns.

Yeah, I think I prefer BL1. I don't like the cartoony aesthetic, weapons and gimmicks in BL2, and the plot is a garish rehash of the Secret Armory of General Knoxx, except with an over the top villain who really needs a mustache, a scratchy voice or a claw, or even all three.

Seriously, the plot to BL2 reminds me of a particularly vulgar saturday morning cartoon that's trying really hard to be serious.

The UI is a bit better, but I found BL1 easier to get into.

I'm torn because I like them both equally, but for different reasons. BL1 was fun, had some cool characters, but generally had a meh plot. It was find the vault, that's it. Right from the get go, BL2 sets up with a pretty a-hole villain, especially when he kills two of the characters I liked
Spoiler:
Mordecai's bird and Roland
.

Then the run up to take him out was pretty cool, and it ended with a satisfying boss fight. Sure the aesthetic changed some, but BL1 has always been cartoony, going back to the first boss of BL1, Toe-Cutter. I don't get a lot of the hate BL2 gets. Sure it wasn't as good as BL1, but all the tie-ins, characters showing up, and the extra stuff they threw in (how Zero and the DLC characters play totally different from the BL1 cast) were pretty dang cool.

Yeh, I'm playing mechromancer. The damage is real
BL2 is pretty fun, it just changes a lot of things that I liked in its predecessor, though it improves a bunch of stuff as well.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually liked the story in BL1, especially if you count the DLC.
BL2's story feels too much like a stereotypical, big budget hollywood film to me, complete with unfunny forced humor that can't decide if it's for adults or children. So basically Transformers 2.

In a way, I'm glad the Suicide Squad season is over {I have Harley, the Joker, and Deadshot at maximum level, maximum elite.) but I am disappointed that the challenge mode has now changed back. The first challenge not to feature the suicide squad characters, and the easiest level requires 3 particular characters - and I don't have a single one of them!

Still, I get to spend more of my free time working on the online challenge instead. Aiming for one of the top 1% globally.

I find that choosing a certain set of skills and limiting yourself to them makes the game enormously more fun than the usual 'whatever works' approach. I've said it before on here, but I've had more fun running a sword'n'board Paladin (resto and 'holy fire' magic, only using the 'good guy' looking armour) than I've ever had with my 'little bit of everything' characters. A little bit of RP goes a long way. I even leave the gold in corpses (well, those that don't attack me, that is).

Heroes and Generals, or the combined arms multiplayer game I was hoping War Thunder eventually turned into / an arcady version of Red Orchestra 2.

A neat wee game so far, though I can see the upkeep costs becoming a bit much if you don't play a lot. I'm sticking to being a sniper right now, with prospects of having a Panther one day.

Sniping's a rather easy affair as most players are seemingly oblivious to you as long as you're prone. Bonus points if you pick up an enemy sniper rifle too, as nobody pays attention to shots which come from their own rifles (I *hate* guys who pick up enemy guns myself though, as you then can't hear someone sneaking up on you).

Mechanically the game's fine, but generally I'm finding that players are oblivious outside of their own tunnel vision. "Kill, kill! Attack, attack!" is the quote I'll use for most. ....Which would be fine, but this game has paratroopers. That objective everyone left empty to attack? Yeah, one guy just landed on that and now enemies are spawning behind us...

(If you hadn't guessed, I'm the guy left behind with a pistol to fend off guys dropping from the sky with SMGs constantly).

Overall its a fun enough game, as ever made better whilst playing in a squad, even if you're going solo as a sniper. I've had a fun time running with one guy all night as a sniper and spotter team ("go on tank commander, pop your head up just for a second, its such a lovely day out...").

More Heroes and Generals.

I've leveled up enough to have become one with my inner bush. A scoped sniper rifle, binoculars and a pistol. Pity the decent camo costs silly amounts.

My current goal: level up anti-tank grenades. Unfortunately that means I need to drop everything bar my rifle, and even then I can only carry the bare minimum of rounds for that till I level up to cheaper mines.

However, like your average soldier who's completely obvious to you as soon as you hit that magic crouch key (you're a hacker if you go so far as hitting the full prone button...), tank players in this game also seem to carry horse blinders as part of their default equipment...

Last night's game: 2 tanks sitting site by side. I spend a few minutes jumping all over their hulls whistling after they don't notice me walking right up to them and planting a few mines. They don't budge. I shoot them with my rifle. Nadda. Eventually I give up, and have blow up my mines from a distance with my rifle. :(

(I only attacked the tanks in the first place because the pair of them decided to drive right past me then sit a few meters away whilst I sniped from some long grass. The amount of times I've almost been run over by tanks whilst sitting in cover...)

Back on Fallout 4.

Since hearing about the latest DLC being raider based, I thought it was a good time to start a new character and go for that.

Called "Dick", he was in the engineer corps whilst serving in the military, but was fed up with the way things were run. He knew that troops were being sent out with sub-standard equipment and developed the skills needed to modify them to make them more efficient for his friends.

Upon realising that he had been frozen twice, for a total of over 200 years, he realised that everyone he knew was dead. He had no idea how long he had been frozen for the second time, but even his son could be dead. He was all alone in a dead world.

Home had no meaning for him now, so he stripped Sanctuary hills of everything he could. No point being sentimental. He set up a temporary base in the Red Rocket filling station just outside of Sanctuary, and proceeded to strip that too.. The only things he left in those locations were the workbenches. They were too valuable to destroy.

Once set up, he started scouting around the area, eventually coming across an old, abandoned drive-in. Realising the potential this location had as a defendable, independent base, he started work at once. Firstly strip mining the area for valuable resources, and clearing the LZ.

He then used his combat engineering knowledge to start producing a level base on which to build. He built around the pond in the middle of what once had been the car park of the theatre so he had somewhere to put a couple of industrial pumps he had cobbled together and therefore have a decent supply of drinking water.

After finding some fertilizer bags on a trip out, he was able to make a start on some hydroponics units so he could grow food inside his base. Adding concrete walls which also enclosed the little shack with the workbench gave him security, and coupled with the electronic door ensured he was the only one who could get inside - or at least he would be, once he finishes the ground floor walls.

He will have to go out and scavenge some more, or wait until he can afford another trip to Diamond City to buy another consignment of concrete from that half demented Mr. Handy there.

My desktop PSU snap crackle and popped so I put skyrim in the tabtop. Gotta use a controller which is...different. had to disable skyui as much h as I like it, was hitching whenever I opened inventories. Now we're running low settings smooth as chunky peanut butter and that works for me. Left the music mod and the ones that let you pick a birth sign and class, with a random start in the world. I think I had spell sneak attacks too may have to reroll a magic assassin.

May go to GameStop later and try to find a N64 display adapter thing. I have crap for games except smash brothers but my 4 year old has been wanting to play games. I figure with the right settings it can be pretty sandboxy and forgiving plus she'll recognize the Pokemon immediately.

Went ahead and got some five characters killed right of the bat because I'm to stubborn not to play trial of iron mode. Resetting every time is a bit of a chore. Currently following a guide I found and doing a paladin death goodlike with a spear. I'm terrified of dying everytime and the world has gotten a little bit messed up due to some poor choices but mostly things have worked out. Just won the war at Caed Nua (which was awesome) and wondering what I'm supposed to do with the endless money I have. by now I have some 50.000 coins and nothing to spend it on.Oh and I lost quite a few characters in the first wraith dungeon, and was very close to lose this one in endless path quest. Think I've assembled the entire party... last I found was "the grieveing mother".

How about you? NPC party or custom one?

Sounds like the adventure of a real man that dose! Caed Nua is a good area to level your gear and party members. And its also an amazing location me thinks.
I tend to run a plain figther or a Paladin with varied specilizations from time to time. And well the Grieving mother is good if you want to have a colorful and varied NPC parrty, but if I aim for a more blunt and direct party I custom make my members as then you can really go to town so to speak, since a few of the classes are stupidly overpowerd when used by a custom characther

Doing my level best to play a game of Stellaris all the way, instead of reaching a certain point and just starting a new game.

So I started this new game, and bam! Fallen empire right on my doorstep. Will this make things more or less interesting?

Taking a break from painting like a machine to spend some time on Stardew Valley. Into Summer of the second year now, with most of the community centre tasks now done (aside from the bulletin board and those annoying fishing tasks), making a nice and tidy profit every few days when it's time to harvest. I've also build a shed and started collecting the ingredients needed to build a few batches of kegs, so I can mass-convert hops into ale, that will later down the line be aged in my cellar, something I'm hoping to get done before Winter arrives once more.

I still just don't understand why Pillars decided, "hey you know what class we don't need as a NPC companion, a rogue/thief."

Cause that's like not a class that's important at all in RPGs.

Wow seems like you'd have to make your charname one, or can you generate extra party NPCs too? Of course they wouldn't have fun scripted interaction.

That depends on their ethos. It may well make expansion difficult.

I'm waiting for the Heinlein patch to hit before I go back to Stellaris, it has too many broken features at the moment.

If none wants to play a thief/rogue then surely that's the class you would be certain to have available as a NPC.

It just boggles me that an RPG computer game wouldn't have a rogue, cleric, fighter and wizard as the bare minimum for fully fledged default voiced NPCs.

I might be salty because my design-your-own NPC Rogue is the leading cause of me reloading saves due to a terminal case of death.

Yeah, the lack of a thief NPC in vanilla Pillars is frustrating. There are a *lot* of locks and traps in that game, but none of your companions are optimal for training to deal with them because none of them are thieves. It got bad enough that I stopped my first playthrough just to go back and start over as a thief to deal with this short-coming.

(it's almost as frustrating as the "half of the enemies that you run into early on can teleport/burrow/fly past the front ranks of your party, and will insta-gib your spell-caster even if you have said caster stand around and do absolutely nothing" thing)

I *think* there's a thief in the first White March expansion. But that's a bit late.

Dark Souls 2 was on sale over at Steam, so I got it a few days ago. Quite enjoyable when played in short bursts, to prevent frustration from building up too much.

Also diving back into Payday 2 now that they've finally wheeled out the new safe house. Bit miffed that the new features are locked away behind challenges and daily jobs, so getting there will take an awful lot of time sadly.

feth the Pursuer, we beat him today twice in coop (me distracting him with a shield while my brother shoots him with the ballista both times) and we're slowly progressing from there really. While I can certainly see why the game has a certain reputation, I do find myself enjoying it.

Victoria II.

I just asserted Austria's (well, the South German Confederation's) hegemony over Prussia. Now on to recover Elsaß-Lothringen from the pesky French. I should probably keep bullying the Italians and the Ottomans, but they provide a distraction to the Russians and the French that I'm not sure I want to lose, so they may be allowed to exist until I get some glorious Osterreich panzerdivisions.

On Dark Souls II, the Ruin Sentinels are going to be soo much fun to you. Also the double Pursuer fight .

I really should go back to it, but the story I just hate it sooooo much. I wonder if Katanas still have phantom range and ungodly damage

I think Dark Souls has gotten back at me. After we beat the Pursuer we went straight to the Bastillon or whatever it is called, bypassing a large part of the game. It was quite tough there, but in the end we cleared it all out and whatnot.

When we went for the part we bypassed, I found out that I may or may not be a bit too strong for that part all of the sudden. Aside from the dragon, we killed everything with some ease and a lot of patience.

Now however, I need to go through a forest with zero visibility due to fog and a lot of those ghost-like foes that cannot be targeted. This is hell, probably paying me back for breezing through that other part.

Don't fight the ghosts, just run past them, they give very few souls and don't drop anything IIRC.

Also, if you hit the trees with a weapon it attracts them.

It is a short area tho. A cool merchant is hiding there, nice guy but his white phantom is beyond useless.
If you just run it you'll get to some forest ruins with lion warriors and whatnot. And curse pots, be careful with those.

Yeah, I powered through it, though I did stumble upon a decapitated talking head that taught me the "Decapitate" gesture.

I'm at the point with the lions and the laughing pots now, quite annoying that I've lost my humanity so easily without dying, but at least I didn't fall into the basilisk pit.

I jumped in.

Oh well, may as well stay Hollow for now, less chance of getting fethed over by an invasion. If there is one aspect I dislike about the game, it has to be that.

Started Skyrim again a week or two ago. Steam helpfully loaded all of my old mods onto the new rig (well tablettop thing but anyway, old rig is dead hail the new default rig, I guess) which I think has the dragons turned off. Kind of an odd choice, but maybe I was mad about them back when? Mods also changed it so I can pick a class more like oblivion and just starts you randomly in the world.

Settled on a Dark Elf arcane assassin or whatever you wanna call it. Got a mod that enables modest sneak attack damage for destruction spells and rune traps, still end up doing a fair bit of knife work as it's quieter.

Decided to run the dark brotherhood quests because they were a lot of fun in Oblivion. Sheesh, those gloves they give you... 30x sneak damage on daggers just feels so dirty. Quests so far have been a mix of bland and interesting, only one really memorable assassination quest but I'm hoping for a couple more before it's all done.

My poor guy contracted vampirism but I figure since he mostly works during the night, actively uses the things being a vampire buffs, and has a passive flame resistance roughly equal to the vampire's flame weakness... it's a pretty good fit.

I cleared blightown. Its not as bad as people make it out to be, once you get your bearings and kill the snipers.

Quelaag was a hell of a boss fight, and the kind I like. Huge arena, huge boss with no friends to help her, needs a lot of concentration.
I think I needed a +10 weapon, as I was dealing little damage. I had to use all of my gold pine resin and summon the maneater, and even then it took like 3 tries to beat her.

Now trying sen's fortress. The difficulty spike is real.

Sen's Funhouse is the fun. So many falls and traps. It is also the place where the game really starts IMO.
And a +10 weapon in Anor Londo is nearly mandatory, you can't deal real damage there without one.
Unless, of course, you kill the mimic in Sen's and use the Lightning Spear he drops, but that will only work for so long before getting outclassed, so better get something useful quick.
I once got there with a +15 weapon (and another time with a Chaos +5), it isn't that difficult if you know where to go.

Basically, there's a crap-ton of overt racism, from the obvious usage of the N-word to the much more common and "benign" forms we saw, such as calling out to someone as "hey, boy"... wherein we basically know that "boy" is a stand-in word.... Also, one of the latter game trailers showed that players have the option of crashing a KKK rally/cross-burning (in the video at least, the PC has an M-60 with which to effectively crash said party)

I just played through Prey(2006) and unless you are an fps aficionado I suggest you skip it. The game is pretty short (it maybe took me 4-5 hours to complete on normal (the only difficulty).

Reason why the game isn't very good is due to the gimmick spam (portals, antigravity, flying, random puzzles...) and nothing being fleshed out. Gunplay lacks impact. Enemies don't really react to being shot until they ragdoll on death. Firefights usually devolve into you shooting at enemies and trading shots until somebody dies. Your movement is really slow so evading shots is more luck than skill. You also aren't punished dying because in Prey dying means you get spirited away to shoot flying ghost fish with your ghost bow and after while you respawn where you died.

Visually the game looks pretty good despite the 2006 texture quality. Sometimes the detailing is too intrusive. Game also run pretty well on my 5 year old rig on maxed out details at 5760x1080.

If you want to try the game out then too bad because they don't sell it anywhere. Good thing my swedish friends could lend me a copy.

Mimic beacons are good. Use them when you start getting tier 2 gear. Generally after the first two retaliations you should have enough faceless corpses to make at least one since that's what you need to research. Sadly i don't have the Spark DLC. I do Hardest difficulty on ironman and as long as everything works out this will be my 3rd successful run of the game.

My suggestions for now are try to do missions with terminals where possible as they net you some sweet rewards usually on the global map. Advent train terminal missions are some of the hardest early on but not so much later. Early on protect the device is also easy but late game just skip it. Generally the enemy will murder that thing in 5 turns or less so i'm guessing extra mimic beacons might be the way to go.

Far as i can tell flaming ammo is mostly garbage (except vs chrysallids, stun lancers and maybe vipers and some things). It's not particularly bad but poisoned rounds have far more use (restricts movement and aim) whereas fire just prevents some enemies from doing certain things (stun lancers and chrysallids can't melee when on fire but archons can).

Skip labs and workshops. For a time i thought labs were nice but they're really not. On the global map if it's near the end of the month and nobody's really hurt and no gifts from the resistance look particularly thrilling go to the resistance base and speed up construction. You can excavate and construct buildings much faster and if you have a lot of buildings under construction it is a god send esp. on Legend difficulty where excavating first level is 10 days and 2nd level and beyond is 30 days per area and that gets halved with the construction bonus.

If you ever have to worry about missions where you gotta run to the evac use some mimic beacons once again. It'll distract the enemy for a good turn or so and allow you to move freely to the evac. Overwatching enemies can also be handled by a couple things. Flashbang grenades can help and so can a specialist using their boosted defense ability (aid protocol i think) and then running the boosted defense person around to take the overwatch shots. Helps if it's at least a tier 2 gremlin boosting defense though.

If you want to try the game out then too bad because they don't sell it anywhere. Good thing my swedish friends could lend me a copy.

The game seems more sad than anything. There's a point in the game where you think everybody on that ship and basically everybody you met in the game dies. At the end some live but most died. Was kinda bummed Prey 2 is going to be so far removed from the main character of Prey and the story of it (or at least that's what it seems).

Some fun things I learned, if your landing zone is destroyed, it will respawn closer. I once overdrived my Spark, Hit it with a rocket, then it spawend two feet away. Everyone Dashed and said goodbye to the Sectoid, Gatkeeper and like two Mecs.
But I did loose the spark recently sadly, Second one, Had to destory the Tower, so I sent him on a suicide mission.
Still, I almost failed this playthrough. Got one point away, then I hit two blacksites, and a story missions, got it down to nearly zero, and I can assault any blacksite now that pops up.

Im to the point I have no research left. But here is the thing that bugs me after reading an XCOM2 reddit post. I have never seen a GateKeeper or Sectopod actually attack, Because outside of timed missions(of which honestly there are very few, my thing is overwatch, scoot overwatch and wait for the aliens to reveal themselves, so typically the Sectopod will come out, get overwatched to death, or survive, than sniper them.
Im more scared of Codexes TBH. I always have to just hit them with a frostbomb, than just hit them over and over. I remember one time I got a pod of 3 codexes, hit them with a frost bomb, than boom, I just hammered them. Shadow Chamber makes it really easy.

What do you mean there are few timed missions? Every mission is timed except retaliations, protect the device missions, supply raids, story progression missions and facility destruction missions. I realize that sounds like most but most guerilla ops and all council missions are timed and protect the device and retaliation missions are timed to an extent (but through different means). Perhaps the biggest difference is game difficulty? I play on Legend Ironman so you only get one save that constantly updates and hardest difficulty can be rough. It can also be tough if you try for the no squad upgrades for 2nd hardest difficulty (commander?) and i've never tried that again since i went for Legend Ironman runs.

Keep in mind i play the PC version so this isn't on the console and i also don't have the Spark DLC.

IDK, it just feels like im getting less and less missions with timed turns now. But maybe that is just me.
I mean, I know im not playing Xcom "Right" with save scumming. But I love the game still because it just feels different.
But it might also not help that somehow my snipers can see though walls with sqadsight, im not sure how,but they they can.

Tried the 1.3 patch for Stellaris, and... meh. I've not got to any of the late game changes because the late early-mid game is still tedious as all hell, and the changes that appear throughout--combat etc.--really feel no different at all. Combat was apparently overhauled, but they could've fooled me; ship design has been refined but it hasn't really done much except let me shove crystalline hull plating on ships without taking up a utility slot.

PD Getting its own slot feels silly, as all it does is prevent PD-spam and just favour making PD ships as cheap and disposable as possible like before; Torps getting their own slots stops Torp-spam in the beginning, but you just shove missiles on beside them to keep them long-ranged.

All in all, I'm still getting incredibly bored before any of the big changes are even close to being seen.

Dragonpunching is relatively amusing. I like the finishing move animations: there's a hip throw that reminds me of star trek or Hercules, some kind of pick them up and duml them on the ground, grabbing on and pummeling their face several times, and I think the sneak finisher may be a freaking suplex.

Gotta work on smithing and enchanting, the toughest gloves and enchanting for the +unarmed is the only way to hit harder.

Thanks for the compliment btw. Currently on act 3. The difficulty just ramped up significally. Wanted to finish with everyone alive but Oh well.... Might do a replay with the dlc later on but I kinda like games like this the most when you don't know what's comming.

I hope they make a Pillars of eternity 2, or more games like it, I really enjoy this genre.

Already using it. I encountered one of those independent stations, but it doesn't add anything to the game that I can see, really. It had two options--one of which I couldn't do without doing the first--that looked very much like they would quickly lose all novelty.

Aside from that, I'm still thoroughly unmotivated to continue that game now it's reached the slog of mid-game.

I'm currently playing "Just one more turn oh crap is it morning already? 6".

Also known as Civilization 6.

So far it looks like an improvement over 5. The biggest change probably has to be how your civ advances. You can get "Eureka" moments for each technology that take half the development time off of the technology. A Eureka moment might be something like 'Build three harbors', or something similar. The idea is that technologies that are related to the things you're focusing on for your civilization will come more easily to you. And there is also what is essentially a *second* technology tree. In 6, you have a Civics tree that is essentially identical to the Technology tree (complete with Eureka moments), but it's researched using Culture. Researching new civics unlocks new Civics cards. Each Civics card provides a unique bonus. And your government type determines how many and what kind of Civics cards you can select for your civilization.

Also, the classic Colony Ship to Alpha Centauri win condition has been replaced with a Colony Ship to Mars win condition.

Not sure why but decided to start a new game of Xcom 2... put it on Rookie this time... still having a heck of a time... maybe I shouldn't try to progress the story so quick? would it matter? it feels like I'm forced into it.

Finally got to see a Ranger's melee attack in action... wicked awesome... also got to see the Codex alien... what a pain in the butt.

I might start a new playthrough tomorrow and see if I can delay the story stuff as much as possible.

Also playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper... really loving it more than Marvel Future Fight.

Also started up again on Clash of Clans.

Titanfall 2 has replaced Overwatch for the time being for me. The campaign has some very cool missions, such as the time jump one (where you have to jump forward and back agin mid action).

Multiplayer seems a lot better than the first, and I enjoy the not totally random cosmetics better than Overwatch's system (there are achievment unlocks and random unlocks in the paint/marking schema).

Oh, hello Mist Gatekeeper, oh, you have a high def? Well say hello to my Gunslinger with Bluescreen rounds oh your dead? im sorry.
And if I ever ended a turn without someone dead, Mimic Beacon.
It got silly easy near the end.
Playing Valkyria Chronicles, got the Remastered version on PS4 enjoying it. but my god cutscenes are LONG. But the game seems like it is really short, with like, 1 mission per chapter and like 18 chapters. JRPG are not supposed to be short.

1 TB Hard Disk Drive (partitioned)
Windows 10 Home
4 GB RAM at 1600MHz (102MB Hardware Reserved)
2.20GHz Intel Core i3 5200U (never seen it get above 2.17GHz))

And I love it. I already have 13 hours logged on it. I play as the Bezerker (spelling?),and want to see what DLC you recommend for it. The available DLC is:

The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned
Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot
The Secret Armory Of General Knoxx
Claptrap's Robot Revolution

So, which DLC should I get?

I finally started playing this as well.

Was running through a particularly nasty area on the map, and accidentally stumbled into a nest of radscorpions. I took off running, and eventually noticed that they'd stopped following me. So I turned around to take a look, and noticed that they now appeared to be fighting something else - something hidden behind a giant rock that was quite literally throwing the radscorpions up into the air. I crept around to get a better look... and then promptly decided to leave when I noticed that they were fighting a Legendary Deathclaw.

One thing that's become clear is that the writers have absolutely no sense of scale or time. It's been 200 years, and yet feral ghouls are still alive inside rooms that have been sealed since the bombs dropped. There's still debris littering the floor of buildings that are being used. And the backstory of one of the characters revealed that they traveled from California to the Commonwealth (aka Massachusetts). While that's not a hard trip to make in our time period, it should be an entirely different matter in the game time. That's a VERY long distance to go.

Yes I've encountered some very fun AI battles whilst wandering around, mutants VS raiders, combat guys VS raiders and various groups of wildlife slugging it out. Makes for a fun little dynamic in the game!

Agreed on the 200 years thing.

And let's face it, what soft drink company in their right mind would hold stock that would last 200 years? Either in quality, or number!

Adhesive tape where the adhesive hasn't reacted and gone hard?

Mind you, it can be very entertaining to watch nests of radscorpions take a legendary enemy on. Just wait until the last scorpion is about to die, then wade in yourself to finish them both off easily. [or just hide until the victor wanders off and loot the bodies!]

1. Ghouls are immortal if they don't get shot/eaten/squashed/otherwise meet a sticky end. They can subsist on a diet of radiation IIRC.

2. Tidying up is not a priority in the post apocalyptic wasteland.

3. Traversing the Oregon Trail (Missouri to Oregon), used to take about 5ish months by horse-drawn wagon. Tougher to do when facing Deathclaws and Radscopions, true, but still doable.

Apparently not, since things like hotel lobbies with paying customers still have debris lying around 200 years after the war.

3. Traversing the Oregon Trail (Missouri to Oregon), used to take about 5ish months by horse-drawn wagon. Tougher to do when facing Deathclaws and Radscopions, true, but still doable.

Oh, I never said it was impossible (and Missouri would still only put you a little over half-way across the country). I just pointed out that it was extremely unlikely. And the game didn't provide enough reason why the individual in question would want to move clear to the other side of the country. Two states away should have been more than enough, given the ostensible rationale provided.

Waste of perfectly good bum fodder if you ask me!

That's really the biggest, non-immersive problem with the games.

200 years after newspapers have been printed, and there are still complete papers lying around, a huge number of which are open to the elements, with no more damage than a discoloured cover.

Given the 'sole survivor' s need to grab every coffee cup, adjustable wrench, and bag of cement seen, how is there any of these items left in the world? Is the PC the only person who has been able to think of using these materials, or [more likely] the only one with the skills to do so in more than a hundred years? [but a ghoul with that knowledge would have retained it, maybe been able to set up a decent ghoul settlement with proper defences, food and water production, etc.]

Oh, and by the way, all those bags of cement are not bags of cement. They would have gone completely solid the first time it rained on them, or they froze.

And the movement from one side of the country to the other, don't forget the Nuclear War. A lone traveller would have no idea where the bombs fell. Radiation would be a cumulative killer, and you would have no idea where you could get more medical supplies, ammo, or food.

The journey would more likely be at least doubled in distance due to detours around heavy radiation areas, creatures, and raider clans, plus you would have the risks of having to take some of them on, depleting your ammo and healing capacity.

Most people wouldn't even take the risk, and although the journey is possible now, I believe it would be practically impossible to survive under F4 conditions.

Reminds me of the Battle Circle trilogy, where one of the characters was a mutant- big, hairy, bestial- but his most important mutation was actually increased sensitivity to radiation, such that he could tell where it was by the burning feeling on his skin, before he moved too deep into the Lethal zones.

So I've finished the main quest and the Blood and Wine expansion for Witcher 3 GotY and I'm at lvl 55.

My question is, should I go on to the Heart of Stone quest (recommended lvl 32) at my current lvl? Will the massive disparity mean it is not a challenge (and therefore not fun)

I've played Jedi Academy, but to me it is hardly a true FPS, as most of the time you will be using your lightsaber and/or force powers for combat, rather than guns. I had always hoped for a true FPS set in the Star Wars universe. Too bad 1313 got canceled, as it looked good from what little I had seen about it.

Thinking about it, actually we've had a couple of Star Wars FPS games. Republic Commando (which was a lot of fun), and the most recent Battlefront game.

PC I assume.

Before even knowing what is going to happen, I'm blaming BGS. It seems like a gakky port, and nobody does gakky ports like BGS (and nobody doesn't bugfix like BGS).

It's the same thing that happened with FO4, it feels like it was pushed out the door before Arkane got a chance to fix the performance issues. Not anywhere near as bad, but the performance drops are noticeable. Which is too bad because the game is excellent otherwise. I'm seriously feeling like Beth/Zenimax is actively trying to burn all the goodwill they have built. And I guess we know why they announced they were no longer going to be giving out review copies.

Since playing overwatch a bit last couple of months I'm getting back into the hankering for some Multiplayer FPS stuff.

Whats that hot stuff right now? COD Infinite and Modern Warfare remastered I guess?

I just tried Star Wars Battlefront tonight and I couldn't seem to find a game... I just played some stuff against the AI.

There is also a US variant, if you want your trucks bigger and a landscape more familiar.

It's a fun game though, I had some scrotumdipper scoff at it in the past, but this is one of those games you can play while listening to music or a good podcast. Just sit back, mind the speed limit (or not) and cruise away.

I'm off the chain myself now, running a company with three garages in my own country, slowly making a good income and I've got two, that's right, TWO bobblehead doggies gracing my dashboard!

Fallout 4 Frost, one of those hard mode survival simulator mods.

Ringing true to my experiences with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Misery, mod developers continue to be unaware of what "fun" gameplay is.

Everyone seems to carry a gun, who'll shoot you with it fine, but when you try and pick it up they have no ammo; ever. You'll fight a half a dozen enemies for no reward - those army crates they were defending: empty. Despite weapon damage being increase animals will take a load of hits, and Ghouls, well someone had the smart idea to only kill them with headshots. ...Headshots by the way being right pain considering the accuracy changes with guns mean you'll be missing at point blank range.

...And god, the lag. Sticking a constant fog effect on the screen when you're outside seems to have something to do with this. On a machine which can run the game at an even 60 with a load of crap running I had this mod dip me down into the single digits at points. The mod's supposed to be set in a Nuclear Winter, but a change up in the weather other than a constant blizzard would'be been nice.

So... Yup, installed the game again to play that for a few hours, and well that's Fallout 4 off my machine again.

The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned
Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot
The Secret Armory Of General Knoxx
Claptrap's Robot Revolution

So, which DLC should I get?

Knoxx's armory is the best DLC according to most of the community. Zombie Island is pretty fun in later playthroughs due to the normal zombies being actually threatening, plus some if the side quests are fairly funny. Robolution is my personal fave but doesn't always make a lot of sense unless you've played through the other DLCs. Underdome is not so great.

Oh god, I played the IOS Injustice game for a long time, until I couldn't feasibly advance the singleplayer and multiplayer got blocked so all I could do was farm gold by leveling silver characters I got from the challenge characters. It's fun for an IOS game but it does have its limits. A few tips if you keep playing: get the weekly challenge characters, never purchase anything but energy and even then not unless you're addicted, play survivor mode even if you don't have a great team, larger screen size is nice (iPads OP), google what the characters do before you buy a pack, save the special currency you get over time for Killing Joke Joker because he's consistently good with almost any characters, and if the game isn't fun anymore take a break. I may give the game another try.

Thanks. At the moment I have a full stable of Suicide Squad characters. They're fun!

I do well enough on the online challenges to keep me in gear to split down, currently trying to max out the 2 parts of Lexcorp armour I have for my Lex Luthors, and the two parts of League of Assassins gear for my Deathstrokes.

Don't generally buy anything with real money for games like this. If it shuts down or corrupts, I don't like the feeling of money down the drain. I have finished the 'single player story' battles, so can now easily get 20K in 5 battles. I do the daily Survivor every day and can get to round 5 with the same characters every time. It's a great game with some tactical thinking.

But I'm also looking at "Space Wars" on Kickstarter. Although it doesn't look at the moment that they'll fund, I really hope they do. It's a turn-based space combat game where you can use experience to upgrade your officers and get yourself a better ship.

Yes, its not amazing by any means but you get what you pay for. Its only technically in EA, it looks to be a (nearly) finished game. The update patches certainly seem to be more about fiddling with stuff than adding genuinely new content and the game itself is perfectly functional.

I just fired up TF2 for the first time in months and I wish I didn't. It's just not a fun game anymore, or perhaps I don't find it fun anymore. Oh well I have only played it for 850 hours (that's over a month...)

@amazingturtles - Crusader Kings II. Same studio as Stellaris (Paradox Studios), but set between 871-1485. The 'diplomacy' is less diplomacy, more dynastic shenanigans. Murder, Infanticide, Lunacy, Incest, Betrayal, Disinheritance, Mental retardation brought on by crushing blows to the head, Maiming, Exploding Manure, Religious Zeal and Eunuchs all make for one fun-packed family adventure. 10/10 Would murder my pregnant neice by pushing her off a balcony again.

Seriously - you should check it out.

Ha! Yes, I should have thought of that. Crusader Kings 2 is one of my favorite games ever in fact.

Even though my character is usually the one being murdered, you're right: diplomacy is the very best part of the game.

I've never come across a game before or since that matches CK2 for sheer scope. The only thing I can imagine that would trump it would be a crossover between CK2 and Total War. I think the only reason they've held off from a partnership is because it *may* cause severe brain damage from awesomeness. Is awesomeness a word? It should be.

The correct term is awesomosity.

Back into Payday 2 again, they released the Christmas heist for this year and it's a fun little diversion.

Injustice: Gods Among Us.

They have just released a feature which allows you to break through the level cap and raise maxed out gold characters to elite level X from VII, and once you have done that, they can raise from level 50 to level 60.

Playing a neat little gem I discovered called "Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun". It's a brand new game (was released on the 6th) that uses Commandos-style game-play in Feudal Japan (specifically, the Edo Period). You're given a mission, and a team composed of five characters, each with different abilities. Stealth is heavily encouraged, though I've yet to find a mission fail that would fail if an alarm was sounded.

It's available on Steam. There's also a demo on Steam which includes the first two levels of the game, and four of the characters. The first level plays as-is, but the second level has a ten minute timer that kicks in early on in the mission. The timer doesn't exist in the retail version. If you purchase the game after playing the demo, then your progress from the demo will carry over.

One other item -

The developers stuck versions of themselves in the game, and there's an achievement for finding and killing all of them (16 iirc). So if you notice that a seemingly normal guard or civilian has a name, get them!

I'm playing that wonderful game called "Get your Finals done before they're due". Filmmaking is tough.

And occasionally a little bit of Overwatch here and there. Have I ever said how I appreciate that the only unlocks are cosmetic in that game? Because I do. It means I don't feel horrible about not grinding out levels and stuff, and can just hop on for a game or two every so often when I just need to Particle Cannon someone to death.

I picked up Gears of War 4 yesterday, been playing through the campaign. Pretty fun so far. I never played any of the other GOW games though so I can't compare it. I'll try the multiplayer stuff once I finish the campaign. I'll probably download the windows version too since I can play it on both, but I usually prefer consoles since my sofa is more comfy than a desk chair.

The Elder Scrolls Online. ...And getting really confused.

I've ran the same dungeon loads of times. I join a high level group and they're insistent on doing it a completely different way than I've ever done it.

Instead of the stamina heavy damage dealers chasing the boss they wanted the low stamina Tank (me) to do it instead. So here's me, chasing a boss *and* trying to defend myself which also uses Stamina as well (either failing at chasing - leading to the low health guys dying - naturally they don't pick each other up- , or failing at defending myself, meaning I die and then they wipe). ...On a character with really low Stamina - because that's not that my build. Bonus points for needing to learn a whole new rotation to (meaning I was blocking with the wrong bar and dying because of that too).

When I asked why they didn't do it the normal way they said it wasn't their role. Lemme check all the unofficial guides, oh wait, that was your role.

That's 40 minutes of my life which I'm not getting back. I just wonder how many saps those guys pulled that on before. They must have been lucking out and finding tanks with the right build to accomodate the playstele or something.

Playing some more Dead by Daylight. For a game that's all about helping each other to stay alive I've never seen so many unhelpful players...

I finished Rise of the Tomb Raider. - It's probably been my game of the year (If you count Arkham Knight as being last years game).

In saying that, my computers been mostly out of commission for the past 5 months so... I've basically got Fallout 4, Overwatch and Tomb Raider. So um... Yeah.

Rise of the Tomb Raider it is!
