Hey people,

I kinda feel embarassed to post this,

But since me and my friends were talking about this,and we didn't figure out the answer,I decided to post online

As the title,how to hug?What is the best way to hug?How do you hug with your girl friend and how do you hug with friends?

And also if you feel alright,you can talkabout kissing,cuz that usually comes next,right?

You see,its always better to know some restrictions earlier rather than getting laughed at in front of people

Hugging is so easy even I can do that.
You simply open arms and mutually embrace.

If you are uncertain of technique, you can always practise on a tree first.

Well never really thought about it- it is instinctive (told you I'm a natural)

Both is probably the answer as one arm will usually go over and the other under.

ps forgot to mention, definitely do not practice snogging on a grizzly! No good can ever come of it.

How to hug? Always with tongues...

It will come naturally, don't over think it.

Firslty hugging is very simple. If you lean in to hug, with your arms over theirs, it usually works out. Sometimes they are a top hugger, so simply put your arms under theirs. Im mostly a staggered hugger. 1 on top, and 1 underneath, works out well for me.

Kissing? I only kiss my kids, and my wife. I dont kiss anyone else...... Im not French. Is it the French that do that? Hell I dunno, either way I dont do it. I find it odd to kiss someone in a friendly mannor anyway. Hugging is fine, not kissing.

When two guys hug, they should always roughly slap each other on the back at the same time. That way it's still manly, because you can say "I'm hugging you, but I'm hitting you too".

If it's a friend, you want to offer quick support, or are unsure if you should hug someone a "side hug" or a hand on the opposite shoulder is non-threatening and always accepted. If you want to hug someone in a way that says you care, just extend your arms and wrap them up. Just place your arms around them, don't over tighten. This is good for relatives or maybe someone you just started dating. If you really want to hug someone you're attracted to and you're comfortable with, apply pressure (below the waist as well if appropriate as well). Nothing says you're attracted to someone like letting them know you have a bulge. Again, that's for someone you're very close to/when you're drunk and looking for that hookup.

Most importantly, commit to when you want to hug someone. Do it fluidly and don't be stiff or rigid. Try and be as not-awkward as possible. Hope that helps.

Kissing takes practice to get good at. The same things apply. Be smooth, be fluid and commit to doing it (don't freeze up halfway there). You'll probably have some good and bad kisses, but enjoy them.

Kissing... depends, is it your girlfriend your kissing, or a guy because of a dare? I have experience in both situations XD

I came into this thread with the intent of making a joke along the lines of, "When you hug a girl, make sure you grind her boobs against your chest for as long as possible!!1!", but I see that everyone else has already taken up the slack.

So...here's how to really hug

Man hugs are more about bumping chests.

Girl hugs are about bumping in general..

Yeah, also I'm adding to the list the ring-my-bell no jutsu.

I greatly regret that after my brother's wedding in Miami one of the uncles of his (American) bride went to hug me on saying farewell and I avoided it in a typically English fashion and just shook his hand instead.

I'll probably never see that guy again, but in some way our families are joined together so I wish I had given a better impression.

The lesson here is that you generally shouldn't avoid hugs if offered.


Hugging women
The side hug is safely non-sexual but less supportive than the full hug.

The full on hug can carry sexual connotations but that depends on the circumstances. For example, parents often hug their children without any sexual purpose. The Japanese have a concept called "skinship" which conveys the idea of body contact as a carrier of emotion and closeness.

Since men are often larger than women, it is usually easier for the arms to enclose the woman's arms around shoulder level. This also avoids the buttock touch which is straying into sexual territory. Don't prolong the hug too long as it can become like a restraint.

The other option is for the woman's arms to go round your neck. That makes it rather more like a kiss than a hug.

After you hug someone with your arms, make sure to jump on them and wrap your legs around them too. Then squeeze as hard as you can. Also, make sure to drink your zionist juice with breakfast every morning so you'll be strong enough to squeeze really hard.

Yes that ^ 100% if you are really tall and heavy , your arm would probably be around her shoulder level.
If you keep your arm there for too long ( and you dont know if she want to be hugged ) she'll feel trapped and pressured.

And dont hug too tightly , if she turn around and give you a hug back , yay.
If she try to push your arm away or step away from you , back off and dont hug her again o_O

I have never see men hug each other tbh in a friendship way.

Its either father and son , but then it looks like the father is patting the son's shoulder.

And you mentioned hugging leads to kissing , sort of . Consider this:
If you do get close enough in relationship that you want to kiss , or even a peck on the cheek and both of you are embarrassed about it.
You can hug her from behind and place your cheek next to her cheek. She could turn to the side easily and give you a peck on the cheek or you can do it as well.

This is less pressure compared to if you hug her from the front and she'll feel pressured to not kiss you at all because its straight face to face. ( and you 2 arnt that close yet )
she'll feel pressured because shes worried where to kiss. compared to the one mentioned earlier.
