I don't think I hug right, I'm a big guy, so I have to crouch alittle to hug some of my friends (elbow-shoulder height).

Some one snuck up on me once while I was hugging them and the person I was hugging ended up halfway across the room.

Now they do a running jump to hug me, then push off...

-Your favorite team just won the cup game

-Someone from the other guy's family died

-You must hug due to a rule in a drinking game

Note that you must also be friends with the dude you're bro-hugging. Hugging random strangers does not make it a bro-hug.

I think I always let my arms go under. This may be because I'm a tall guy, so usually I'll be bending slightly over whenever I hug someone, so it feels more natural for the girl to put her arms around my neck while I put my arms beneath hers and place one hand on lower back, one upper. Maybe it just feels natural as a way to give support, since I'm kinda leaning in over them. Apply squeeze as appropriate.

I make a habit out of lifting most people that I hug..
