Ill be doing sculpting to add some bits of flesh and verterbre to the spine. But otherwise the pose is complete.
Could use some feedback though let me know what you think.

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

Now...how did he get the head/spine off the marine, eh?

That aside, I think it'll be a nice and dramatic piece once it's all finished.

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

really nice can't wait to see it fully painted it is like from a Shakespeare but in the 40k version. The Eldar is like "Shall I kill another or not that is the question" (sorry if it doesn't make sense)

Enemies of the Emperor fear many things
they fear discovery
defeat, despair and death!
Yet there is one thing they fear above all others.
They fear the wrath
of the
Space Marines...!!!

you nailed it man that is exactly where i got the idea.
The question is im doing a grey/red scheme for the dire avenger what do you guys think would be the right space marine chapter for the helmet to be from?
for color I don't think green is a good idea it will look a bit christmaslike and ultramarines i fear would be red white and blue.
Black templar could be, howling griffins, Blood Angels (might be too much red with the blood that will be coming off the head and the eldar) imperial fist hmm so many choices.

I think Black Templars would go perfectly well with that. Maybe even a Dark Angel.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

The attitude and positioning of the model is excellent. Not as sold on the spine but that might be the angle. Could do a Space Wolves helmet, still the bluish tones to contrast but much more muted and blending better with the model.

That looks brilliant, can't wait to see it painted. The spine looks a little chunky if i was ooking to find anything wrong with it, other than that its going to be awesome.

"Alas, poor Yorick!"

Cool.

One detail is that the aspect bangle hanging off of the hose that connects the weapon to the avenger's armor is dangling up at a 45 degree angle.

It's really cool...but I do wonder how that Avenger managed to rip the space marine's spinal column out. Moreover, how his scrawny arms are able to support that massive helmet.

Awesome job dude!

Good, but one question, why would the spine still be attached? Shuriken catapults are slicy weapons, they would take the head off.

Maybe he's contemplating this mystery?

Clearly he's cut all the way around the spine. He'd then have taken hold of the Marine's head, and let the body simply drop away. Now that's art.

Update:
Tip for Dire Avenger Eldar- when painting the brush apply a liberal amount of black paint across the top of the brush at the top of the helmet. Then while still wet dip it in fine play sand when you do this you will get the effect you see on my figure which makes it look more like a natural hair than the smooth look that we are used to seeing. I can do a tutorial if anyone need to see what im talking about.

in this update you will see that the armor is pretty much done cept the gems which will be green. the spine is also ready until i get my Tamiya Clear Red in to do the gore effects this week.
Next update will have the rest of the gun and hopefully have finally picked a color for the space marine helmet. I think Im going with salamanders.
I have also picked the display base i will be attaching the figure to with magnets.

Product is made by armorcast http://armorcast.com

Until next time.

Oh and here is the concept art this is pulled from.

Tip for folks though use a blue or grey background it lightens the models up immesly as you can see in this picture. Wish I had a whiter bulb for this lamp though the grass is a bit greener than in the picture and the dark parts are alot blacker.
