Starting a worklog for my various bits, which I'll be adding WIP shots of future projects. Converted from greenstuff and styrene then cast in resin. My current project is angel style wings and a jump pack.

Me too! although if I may make a suggestion, I think you should gs on an artistic and smooth leading edge (the area where the arm bones would be) in similar style to the BA packs. The square girder look is a bit too steam-punkie for me atm. Also missing the 2 mini boosters on the sides if you know what I mean?

Overall though, I am seriously thinking about picking a few up and making the changes myself down the line.

Nice stuff!

Nice work. Love the wings and the finished claws. Do agree that the wings could do with a little softening tho. Cant wait to se some more.

I definately get the softened edge idea, it's something I'd considered when making the piece but I wanted to make an intentional break from the style of the stock wings. I don't want to get too close to the GW design due to IP issues, plus I figured an old pre-heresey theme would be a bit clunkier than the more modern stuff.

For a smoother look it shouldn't be too hard to pop off the joint cogs and round the leading edges down. The other trick is that being resin the wings can be bent by soaking it in hot water so they can be given a nice graceful curl. Once I get the final pieces cast I'll post some examples with curled wings.

I may still do a large wing set of the same design for monster sized models, or to represent a libby dread using wings of sanguinius.

Just to note, I got my boneswords and lashwhips yesterday and so far I'm very happy with the swords. Haven't taken the whips out of the box yet.

I'll be using them on a forgeworld Hive Tyrant soon, I'll post pics here once I've got everything painted up.

Here's a shot of the first cast, very happy with how it came out and it's only had a very minimal amount clean up so this is pretty much the detail straight from the molds. I'll get some more shots once everything is cleaned up and pinned instead of being held together with sticky tac.

I like that scythe, it would go perfect with the Pariah conversion I'm working on. Any idea when it will be available?

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

Wow these are some great bits, especially the scythe.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Provide the initial casts go well I should be posting the scythe, hammer and some axes up on the site within the next two weeks.

For space wolf and ork players I also have a rather large project coming soon, I'll post some preview pics once the green is complete.

Ok Guys, normally I post up bits but I've been aiming to also produce full models for a while. Here's some WIP shots of the current project, a monsterous riding wolf stand in models for 40k thunderwolves or giant wolves for fantasy battles.

These aren't my personal work, but are comissioned sculpts I'll be producing.

They are sculpted in Fimo. They are about 80& done, still need to get saddles and have some of the details cleaned up a bit. 3 differant bodies and 3 interchangeable heads so that'd allow for 9 differant poses. They will also have two legs sets, a power armor set and an ork rider set.

When finished they'll be cast in resin, and hopefully they'll be available sometime around the end of the month.

More shots on my worklog on resin addict:

Yes, I'll be making the wolf heads and the saddles available sepperately as well.

I am also going to have a set of ork styled legs for the wolves, that way they can be used as larger sized dire wolves for fantasy or possibly stand-ins for Boar Riderz.

I'm very fond of those mechanical wings & the dreadnought claws.

That's not to say the rest aren't amazing... as those are probably the best looking lash whips & boneswords I've seen yet.

Wolves also look good!

Awesome work! I will consider getting some of these in the future.

Majortom: Agreed about the wings looking steam punk like, but they would fit nicely if you were making a pre-heresy and heresy era blood angles.

Don't mistake me, they are wicked! Just not the style for the BA I am building up, where I took their 'unless you clean the chapter toilets you wear artificier armor of some kind' fluff to heart lol

Frankly it is quite likely that I will order a few anyways and gs the details I want myself anyways, the symetry and proportion of the feathers, the turbine and the fact that it is in resin make them very attractive. I also think the boneswords are very effective.

The thing I like best about Paulson's stuff is that he doesn't try to re-invent the wheel and put a spin on his sculpts just for the sake of putting his stamp on them. His boneswords are exactly what I would expect/want were I looking for them, as opposed to say Navarro's Chapterhouse versions which deviated from expectations so much that they are in the love'em or hate'em category. On top of that, the tight sculpting, thoughtful strategy of attaching them to existing models and pricing make his stuff a serious win overall.

And btw, those wolves are AWESOME!
