Go for it! There are supposed to be loads of Regiments with women warriors, but the only models we can use are the House Escher ones from Necromunda, and they all look like they've got a pole rammed up their arse....

It was actually a request/idea for Paulson games to do! Me? Use greenstuff? Unheard of.

'Sides, if someone actually DOES sculpt a half-decent frame/box set for female Guardsmen (or guardswomen?) then we'll finally have a reason for Penal Legions to exist.

Another idea.. street thug-guardsmen (penal legionnaires..). That'd be a great set for conversion if GW made it (and well). Eh, not much point hoping. Unless everyone on Dakka emails Jervis Johnson demanding female guardswomen and penal-thug-men-guards.

Also my thread on warseer got pulled, their moderators are a bunch of uptights so I pulled all of my old stuff on there including the 3-d hulk log and the star wars marines thread which I'll be moving over to the resin addict forum soon.

The easy fix for the guard is make carapace armor you don't need loads of them as to female guard you don't need to do the whole figure just the head the armor covers the soft bits so that doesn't need to be modeled.

I'm not entirely sure about that, maybe the stock legs would be doable, but the big meaty man hands on the stock plastics would not fit a female model well. Basically you'd need to do bits for the entire upper body, at that point may as well just do an entire model from scratch.

The psyker dread parts fit the venerable body, it can work on an ironclad but it'll take some modification to the lower part of the torso where the sarcoghagus is as the dreads both have a slightly differant edge design. You'll also need a right arm to attach the combat weapon to, so you'll need to do some conversion work on an ironclad if you want to build it from a single kit. Or you'll need an right arm from an iron clad along with the venerable kit. Kind of a pain but there is just no way I can cast a dread arm for the kit without IP issues.

Heads (some without helmets) + the torso is all that would be needed. I can understand you not wanting to invest in this project without lots of people actually wanting to buy it, but I think it'd work.

I don't know about the costs of what it'd be to cast or whatever, but £8-£12 for 5 heads + torsos seems reasonable.

The only downside for me is that you're an american based company, so the shipping costs just mean it'd be silly money (no offense, it's all fair, just for a 13 year old kid it's hard to afford). But that Libby dread.. might get that .

Oh, and those BFG ships are beautiful!

Not any bits, just some conversion work I thought I'd share.

I have a game coming up next week that I wanted to test out some shrikes in. That of course meant a trip to my bits box and here's the first couple models I pumped out, will need to do at least 6 more for a full squad, not cheap models as they use a bunch of parts but I love the way they look.

Decided to shorten the venom cannon as it looked way too bulky to be on a flying model and ditched the hooved warrior legs as they looked really bulky. The smaller legs I felt would be more bird like and proportional to the body mass which needs tobe light to help flight. The neck is also elongated to help picth the head more upwards and in line withthe body so they appear like they are looking ahead rather than down.

will be adding greenstuff work in the next day or so.

Those are fantastic! Think you made the right decisions on the legs and venom cannon. Those are well balanced and well proportioned.

I always wondered what the garg wings would look like on warriors. I thought they'd be too small but they're not that bad.

Those would make a great sell-on-thier-own kit right there.
