It woluld be 44USD, so not worth it. Hopefully Jim will sort out a deal for us. Ive had the game for a long time now and have a full set of figures, a second board would be great for BIG missions.

Not quite. similar principal but where SH applied it to every mission (at least before Genestealer came out, what's the pathing logic for level 4 psychic hybrids with a conversion beamer?) SNAFU has specific solo play missions.

Does anyone know how this compares to DUST Tactics? Which one represents more "fun factor"?

It depends on what you want, Delephont.

"Incursion" is more of a dungeon crawl/"Space Hulk"-y game from my experience, with the units also having rules for use in "Secrets of the Reich".

"Dust: Tactics" is similar, but not the same. It feels more like a 'wargame' than a dungeon crawl.

No problems people, Its a great game and I cant recommend it highly enough, Enjoy!

There's a great forum for the Game too, Jim who designed the game spends lots of time there so you get answers to any questions straight from the horses mouth.

For all those out thinking about getting it - stop thinking & get it!
It is good fun (the 2 games I played any way) and at£15 it's a steal.
The cardboard is high quality and I found the game mechanics very similar to Space Hulk 1.0 but with the great random card factor.

Can anyone recommend some miniatures to go with it? I have ordered the game but what would be a good 'starter set'?

The apes, hans, & the 2 sisters are pretty much west wind incursion only.
You can get blitzhunds in the main SoTR section for less (just use a Jagerhund instead - £4 instead of £6.50).

As for zombies, again you can use the cheaper SoTR ones, especially for the bomber zombies

It's a bit like the original space hulk where you could haveover 100 'stealers lurking under blips!

A box os studio miniatures zombies & the warlord games german infanrty would probably be more than enough IMO!!

That's the only turn off to me, only card counters in the box. But for £15 you can't really quibble and that didn't stop me from getting talisman back in the day.

How does it compare to Tanhauser from FFG?

yeah,
not prop i agree there was no way I'd have paid £39 (inc postage) for it when it's just a bunch of card counters.
but £19 (inc postage) is more acceptable to try the game out before buying miniatures.

Plus not all games have to have minis I guess... that's just the hobbyist in us talking.

I'm just hoping that if the games good i can convince one of the guys to buy into it so we can play 'proper games'.

Ive never needed anywhere near 96 zombies, Ive got about 35 (Westwind ones, their cheaper) and its all Ive ever needed.
