Hey guys, starting a fresh Tau army, going for a lush forested home world theme. This is the first 2 Fire Warrior units. I'll update this one with the rest of the army as I get units done.

Also, my next units should look a bit tighter, these were assembled based and painted in 3 days to make the league deadline.

UPDATE!

Finally finished the first Crisis Suit team. I will have a 2nd team painted soon, then on to some Piranha!

I love the color scheme here, you definitely achieved your goal here. I would love to see a whole army like this.

They look like if they caught you in a swamp you'd be found face down before anyone knew what was going on lol

Now these are some beautiful Tau minis!
The scheme works perfectly with the sneaky appearence of the fire warriors.
Bases are great too.

And I really dig the pictures you have taken. Very atmospheric.

Gorgeous scheme and I love your bases, very nicely detailed. These guys would blend in so well with a forest, you'd never see them before they shot you in the head!

Great stuff here. You might want to work on some of the highlights being very thick with no transition for example the Shas'ui's knee pads have fairly thick highlights with no transition from the base color to the highlight and you can see that in a few different other areas. It is only really noticeable in the photos, but if you wanted to take them to the next level that might be a place to start.

Overall though fantastic job, thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot guys, makes it all worth it!

@Tychron I totally agree with you on that. What happened is I did a edge line highlight on everything first, then decided to try to do a little blending on the armor. In hindsight I shouldn't have done the line highlights. Next ones I won't and will try to blend a bit more.

@Demyx I'm actually working on one haha, this army is for a league at my flgs, so going to try to go all out on the display, we'll see haha.

Some very nice looking Tau. When I looked at revamping mine I debated on a swamp or mountain/snow theme. In the end the mountains won out, so it's nice to see a swamp/forest looking Tau.

They look very good, and are a nice departure from the desert/brown Tau that every does, or the vibrantly colored alternative.
