I got this model from a trade and painted him in like 20min so nothing fancy and tried to search up the model and couldn't find it.
looks like a commissar to me. any more info on it? sorry pic is a little blurry

It has a fancy pistol and a hat.......
but it's holding a las-gun....and has non Commisar standard dress.....I......the hat......

lol. well the model is all metal. I tried searching commissar models and found nothing. and yeah the las pistol and las gun is a little odd. so I don't know.
it also doesn't help I am new to IG and their models ;\ was kinda wondering how old it is.

You can use it as what ever you want. Just have it be "counts as".

well I did kinda paint him like my commissar costume haha so that is what I am playing him as.

Yes, the figure has bumps under that launcher, still not sure if it is female .
I think that the original model's background material had him being an ex-commissar anyhow (something about killing too many of his men or the like). ^^
Technically it is an ex-commissar but i'm sure you will be forgiven

Black's not an uncommon colour for a greatcoat, GW's officer models have also had sashes from time to time (the Cadian Lieutenant does), Commissars' sashes (those that have them) aren't always red, and the hat is considerably smaller than Commissars were wearing in the era that this model was spawned in.
IIRC he was framed. He led a kill team that ended up killing a high-ranking officer that was some other high-ranking officer's rival, or something like that. So he was charged with murder and shipped off to a maximum security prison. Where Schaefer eventually recruited him.
