[spoiler]Hi, this is my first post here on Dakka. I want to show you what I did on my chaos cultist. Some ideas have been "stolen" looking around here, and maybe it's not a great job, but it's my first. I also have some almost finished terrain, wich I just started painting, and I'll shoe you the very first I painted. Both cultist and terrain have been planned for Necromunda.
Comments and criticism are very welcome, thank you.

Thank you for your words.
@idunnomaybe: for the rust I aplly a quite dry mix of baking soda, vinylic glue and water, it gives that "crispy" texture. Than for painting I use a burnt brown for base, and then drybrush various mix of brown, orange, red and yellow. In the end some silver on some edges and a dark brown ink over the details.

Hi, I have some pictures of my progresses. I've been painting some terrains, others are in progress now, and I've painted almost all the cultists, too. Pictures of the cultists will come later this week, for today I have some terrain to show:

Oh yes yes, oh yey. Very cool thread. Loving the cultists really characterful. Where did the funky drill arm guys drill come from?
Great terrain too, really like the idea of stuff like the fungi field, very characterful and different

Thank evildrcheese. That drill shoul come from the necromunda pit fighters, but I'm not shure, I've had it laying in the box for years. The fungi filed idea is inspired by the book "Metro "2033".
Today I'll post the pics of the cultists I've painted so far:

Hi, the city has grown and I have some more pictures. I'm trying to give it a bit more of personality, especially building a market (and merchants are already being built), water vapour distillers and, mainly, a table. This is the first part of 4, still not sure if even the other 3 will have canals (one at least will).
So here's the pics; thanks for viewing and c&c welcome.

Your Necromunda terrain looks great, the canal especially, and I love the way you've modified the Cultists to give them a lot more individual character.
Is the Tau Stealth Suit supposed to be a Spyrer? I love the jumping effect.

@Veteran Sergeant: thanks very much, my aim is to have a nice overall glance.
The tau wasn't supposed to be a spryer, I just wanted to try that conversion, but your idea is interesting! Maybe I should try to put a spryer gang up, let's see!

Hi everybody, took some pics of the latest works. The antenna house's wip can be seen on a previous post. Worm and tents are not my ideas, I followed those how to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RJ8Jqu1Y7s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzLSXMgzWpk.
I am currently painting more terrains and working on some minis, so more updates soon.
Hope you like them, c&c appreciated.

@STG: thanks very much!
@teban: that's quite a question! It all started without a serious background idea, all I wanted to do was to paint some terrains I built some time ago, and build some more, since I like it very much, and try to convert and paint some chaos cultists, using simple and fast yet effective techniques. Then I started to plan something. To the classic 40k gothic look, I prefer a more post-apoc look, but not totally low-tech, referred to a necromunda style game, wich I've always wanted to play. After some basic terrains (houses and industrial buildings, mostly), I wanted to give more personality to my city, so I started the markets, the farm ecc, and the same idea is behind my latest minis (the majority of them still very wip, so didn't appeared here yet), for example the butcher and the troll, wich I imagine to be a center piece for a future fighting pit. So now I am focusing on characters, like merchants, chariots, keepers for the markets, diplomats, not directly envolved in a warband, but a lot of fun to create. I am also planning 3 other table-pieces, so that I can finally put all the terrains together, and make them inhabited.
Hope this could answer your question. Thanks for your interest!

That's awesome . I love the idea of building your own 'city' - That is one of my goals as well (I have a very early WIP of my sanctuary 101 table).
Will you create rules for your characters or base them on something such as necromunda?
Cheers !

@teban: did you uploaded any pic of your table? I'm interested, but couldn't find them!
For my characters I'll follow necromunda rules, since I'm not an expert gamer at all..
