No, what'd be broken is an AC/SS Deathwing Terminator.

Space Wolves can do it, and still do okay in CC with a Mark of the Wulfen. Not sure why it'd somehow be more frightening on a DW Terminator, since it'd be somewhere in the area of 80 points. It'd be like saying Paladins are more broken than the rest of the GK codex.

I don't know either as we can already do Storm Shields with Cyclones and we don't even lose our CC ability for that.

I think so. The Thread appears to have degraded to trying to balance the cost of Deathwing Terminators.

Let me bring it loosely back on track then.

I was in Warhammer World again today and the two notable armies that are missing from the Minature with no normal 'army on road/display' sign were

Tau and DARK ANGELS. There wasnt even a space left for them.

Could be indicative of changes afoot - my count is four months since I've seen the DA Eavy Metal army in there.

When was the last time a battle report was done with Tau? Do they ever pull an army without putting the sign up?

Why not? A new OP DA army would mop the floor with current Tau. However, featuring Tau would also remind everyone that Tau exist. A nice cameo before there own update perhaps...

Something to note is that when the Tau Empire got released, they fought a Ravenwing/ footslogging DA list in the WD battle report...

Would love to see tau and DA in the boxset! Would be inclined to get it for both, despite the obvious lack of tau competitiveness.

All that seems to be being discussed is deathwing this and deathwing that, cmon guys wheres some ravenwing love...
I really hope that the rumours about possible jet bike squads for ravenwing are true because that would be awsome!

I was refering to the way GW rarely lets the new dex lose in the Battle reports lol

I'd just like to correct the Tau competitiveness comment. Tau won the UK GT this year.

I know all the C:SM rumors out there, but my money is on a DA/Tau starter box. Looking at the Battle of Macragge and Assault on Black Reach you notice how diametrically opposite the armies are from an aesthetic standpoint. Nids and Orks are so distinct from Power Armor...I just can't believe the boxed set would be chaos...Tau just makes so much more aesthetic sense.

It's not just "all the CSM rumors" being in the next codex that have propagated the rumor boards. It's the fact that one very reliable and venerable rumormounger, 75Hastings69, has stated that it will be CSM vs DA and has even listed some of the contents.

He said CSM vs. DA, not Codex: Space Marines against DA!

What do we really know about Dark Angels other than that they got a new Codex this month
Maybe not a coincidence that I misread your post "first page recrap"
Basically we only know that they are in the next starter.

Im sorry i withdraw my earlier comment, but i still think that this win was much more down to the player and tactics than the competitiveness of tau!

And you can't use the tactics if you choose an army that doesn't match up poorly

People want shooty/SS terminators like SB/SS until they actually play the game and they realize that they just paid 40 points for a storm bolter. Single tactical squad = hold you in place for the entire game.

I'd like to see PW/SS but that's for the new black templars codex.
