You are the reason that I would do my GK in grey, if I had any GK. Good job on the Rhino/Razroback. Can't wait for more.

@E_C - Holy Bejezzus indeed, this push has been the longest so far and its really great to get such positive feedback from members of the community. It means a lot to me and helps me stay motivated in completing this project. Thank you. Oh and I'll work on getting an army pic, I have a small issue of not having powerful enough lamps to get a good picture, so hopefully you will like just a normal shot.

@M.K - Thanks man

@LSC'L - Dare I ask what a Brony is? I can't say I've heard the term used before.

@Gits - I may have raised the bar for GK's but I've seen your work and I know that you can do BLACKHAND's GK's some justice they deserve.

@Bigfish - Thanks for the comment, I plan to show more pictures of models until the army is finished.

@LDP - Nice man, I saw a lot of the work you've been doing, you certainly don't have idle hands eh? I use three lamps which have the baking paper covering the space between the lightbulb and the model, I then have an A3 sheet of white paper I use as the background. Hope that helps

@Eggroll - Ok, let me work on the logistics of making that happen

@Moltar - Wow, was it really two days, I guess I did get about 10 hours painting time in those two days and I was really in the groove being so close to the end of the push.

@Swordwind - Thanks, If you do ever get some GK's I'd be happy to subscribe to that thread

Update: Pictures of the Third push
All in. Interesting to note, this is about 2270 worth of points, not that much when I think of it.

Close up of the SM portion, this includes 2 x 10 man squads, 1 x marine, 1 x libby, 1 x bike sgt, and the two tanks

Fantastic mate, were you always this quick or was it something you learned? Does it have anything to do with repeating the same scheme? I ask because it would take me a month to paint one those and it wouldn't look anywhere near as good!

Knightley wrote:@LSC'L - Dare I ask what a Brony is? I can't say I've heard the term used before.

It's a path you would want to venture down cautiously and open mindedly, it's not as weird as it sounds. You also have to be prepared for the fun to be doubled. If you decide its time to venture down the rabbit hole: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/424613.page

I would be proud to sport that army. The consistency and cleanliness are evident throughout.

Thank you for the army pics! They must looking amezin' on the battlefield! Games are always good when there's great looking minis on the table! If only NZ and the UK were a little nearer!

Anyway, keep it up mate, will be watching!

@TaWaaagh - Cheers, There's even more below

@M.K - Thanks mate.

@Daxx - Thank you.

@LSC'L - I was never this quick, When I first started (page 1) I spent two weeks on concept, build, paint for 1 model (the apothecary for the command squad) but the more I do it the faster I get I think. I now know what a Brony is... Interesting idea I'm open to the idea's of people building the hobby in what ever way they see fit, good on him for trying something new. I'm of the thinking that MLP was always for little girls, but apparently I was wrong.

@Zari - Well fingers crossed you like the current army pic as much as you did that push.

@E_C - Oh, that wasn't the army pic, that's just what I painted this push. I'm currently trying to get NZ to move its land mass closer to.. well somewhere but that's a rather large WIP

Update: Full current Army pic's below (please note however I really struggled to get a good picture of the models, what you see here is an entire nights work of trying to get proper lighting etc, but not quite getting there.

All in - This shot does not include models that are going to be repainting into the new scheme (see the front page of what is left to repaint)

All Grey Knights - This shot does include every GK model both new style and needs to be repainted

All Spacemarines - This shot does include every SM model both new style and needs to be repainted

Unbelievable! Any idea how many points you'd be running if you played them all in one game? Ignoring choice restrictions to make it possible.
Yeh, Bronies freaked me out a bit at first, i couldn't think of a legitimate reason for adult males to be watching MLP. I tried it out though and it's pretty great as cartoons go, massive props to the team that design it.

And I thought the ones posted before were impressive! How did I forget about the dreadknight/noughts? Oh well glad to see a full army pic after all!

I have the same trouble with larger pics although I think you've managed it a lot better than I did. I suspect that to get even better ones you'll probably need a a different lens/shutter/zoom thing! As you can tell i'm not much of a camera buff so I could be wrong but thats my thinking!

Anyway as always, thanks for the pics/update! Keep it coming!

I second that.

Awesome army shots by the way. The mind boggles at the amount of squiggly lines. I mean really, how much do they really have to write down?

@Ogryn - Good to see you again Ogryn, I was wondering where you had gotten to.

@LSC'L - I think the total points for both armies is about 4260ish so I have another 6k'ish points to build paint before the army is done.

@E_C - Happy to post a full army shot for you I do suspect that if I had a proper camera (IE: one that you use for professional pictures) and some high grade lights I could do a better shot, I might see if any of my mates have recently taken up photography as a hobby and use them for a night

@Gits - Thanks man, I really liked your army shot as well

@WM360 - I'll see if I can squeeze the Vindicator in, just for you

@M.K - Cheers

@Eggroll - Thank you!

@Swordwind - Yeah I regularly update the first page when I do a post of substance (IE: some pictures) I'll answer the motivation question below

@Ice - All of my marines are quite studious when it comes to squiggles

Update: So today I spent the entire day cleaning metal models I had painted, I popped them all in a tub of simple green for 3 days then got a toothbrush onto them and got 95% of the paint off, I then found an old vibrating toothbrush and used that on all the bits I couldn't get clean. So there is SFA left to clear on them (picture below) and so for a treat I start on a GMS marine and got IceAngel's Marine basically done, Just need to drill the barrels and clean 1 mold line

Ice's GMS front

Ice's GMS side

Metal models cleaned - Note I wont be painting all these right now.

Motivation - What keeps me going? Basically its every one who posts on this blog. Every post I get gives me a sense of satisfaction that some one is entertained by my models or is in the mood to chat and I'm more than happy to interact. So if you want to see more, post more Also a huge thank you to all the regulars who post on the blog, you guys are quite important to me in some small weird way.

Holy frak that's a lot of marines! Will you be fielding all 10k at any point? If so does that mean you have some very big angry vehicles planned?
I'm glad we can help motivate you, i can understand how that boosts you to keep going.

@LSC'L - Yeah mate, you have no idea, there is still another 25 odd tactical marines to build paint let alone the tanks/support crews. If NZ had large apoc games I would be very very tempted to take them and show them all off. For BAV's I do have another Landraider and a Fellblade to make

An example of a Fellblade, this might be what I'm looking at making, but for GK's
Spoiler:

@Leohart - Oh I plan to touch the snotlings out of that Thunderfire cannon, definitley stay tuned!

@M0rdain - Thanks mate

Update: I gathered and built up 5 Marines for Lorna for our GMS swap. Still need to fill the slots in the bases and adjust the poses, but basically what you see there is what is getting swapped

That's intense heavy support! Would i be right in saying you haven't done any extensive conversions on this project yet? Would it be wrong of me to hope for one or two? It might be a nice break at 5000 points of painting.

2 to 3 weeks is about how long I usually have to wait for any ebay purchases I make from the states Knightley, I wouldn't panic till the third week

If it's a Machinator tank you shouldn't have to worry. he seems to have a pretty good rep
