If I wasn't at the school library right now I would be screaming laughing at this whole thread. Do you know how hard it is to keep a straight face when theres a stormraven covered in Draigos? I've got tears welling up in my eyes and people keep moving away from me as I make weird stiffled laughing noises.
The "I man" on the knee cap finally pushed me over the edge and I let out small chuckles with tears streaming down my face.

I think the PAGK are great dynamic sculpts, except for the clips, as mentioned.
I don't like the Terminators. Maybe its the wide split stance, but they don't look like heavily armored marines I've always taken terminators to be. I guess we're just one step away from kung-fu grips and flying dropkicks - oh wait, haven't we seen that already from BL? *shakes head*
I wanted to like this release, but I won't be getting anything but the codex to use for my Ordo Malleus force, using my former DH stormtroopers and whatever else I can build to fill out points.
I'll use my one unit of metal GK termies to reflect their rarity in the old fluff, and use that extra stern model I have, maybe with some arm swaps, to represent Draigo.

New Grey Knights article with some squad info and ideas from GW:
Strike, Intercept, Purify, Purge! ...being the inquisitive people that we are, we also wanted to look at the new power-armoured Grey Knights, as we'd heard that they were really versatile plastic kits (they can build four different units)... http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/blogPost.jsp?aId=15900013a
The Strike Squad is the ideal unit to take and hold objectives. Equipped with Nemesis force halberds they increase their Initiative to a synapse-shattering 6, which means they will strike before almost any foe. As with all Space Marines, they have the 'And They Shall Know No Fear' special rule, which means shifting them off an objective is never an easy task.
The second unit type is the fast attack Interceptor Squad. The sprue actually has ten backpacks on it - five for the normal marines and five for the Interceptors. The rods coming out the top of the backpacks are personal teleporters, allowing the squad to make one teleport shunt once per game, transporting them up to 30" across the table.
Your third option is an elite unit of Purifiers. Two purifiers can take special weapons in the unit and, just like Space Marine Veterans, they have two attacks each, which should make a mess of any enemy that gets near them. They are also fearless and leadership 9, so the only way to get rid of them is to kill them all (we all know that will probably require a big template)
The fourth way you can build this box is as a Purgation Squad, which, in my opinion, is one of the coolest units in the Codex. The boxed set has four heavy weapons in it - two psycannons, a psilencer and an incinerator. The Purgation squad can take all four if you want.

is the rumor about the halberds costing more true? if so, how much of a points dent? that can't please all the players out there with dozens of regular GKs with halberds.

When ever theres a new marine release it always fills me with such spite. they always come out with something like " OOOOOUUUHHHHH LUK NEW SPEEZ MARINES! WE ARE SO MUCH MORE BADASSIER THAN U!" It kinda makes me feel like, if this happened on a battlefield, all of the other armies would just join forces to wipe them out just so they wouldn't be annoyed by them anymore.
and before i get rage quit "WHY DID THEY CANCEL FIREFLY!?!?!?!?!?!WWAAAGHGHGHGHG "
anyways now that my highly biased ranting is over: Despite all of these fancy upgrades and talk of taking objectives with GK and making the rastaknight a troop and all that jazz, i still think they're going to have a hard time taking objectives. Even if you can just teleport 30' onto an objective, what kind of cover are you going to have, and each unit is so damn expense, are you even going to risk throwing all those points so far in. Sure they can hold their own in CC, but not against a whole army. If GK has no heavy fire in the back for the enemy to worry about, then the whole army is just going to turn its guns on the dumbasses that just teled across the field. At least with BA you've got a huge force jumping across the field, all imho. (disclaimer I play neither of these armies and am just throwing things out there)

Nathan Fillion wants to buy Firefly as a fan-funded project. However Joss Whedon Doesn't Support the Fan-Funded Firefly. Now we can blame him for Firefly's cancelization. It was probably him all along. He wanted to make more money directing the Avengers or something.

OT real fast:
Not true. Joss Whedon doesn't support the 'fan-funded Firefly' because the goal of 'fan-funded Firefly' is to return the show in a format that would be so absurdly different that it really isn't worth buying the rights and tying them up in it.
Fillion is for it, but not in the way you think. He wants to buy the rights and essentially make it 'public domain' with people telling the various stories in whatever way they see fit.
Basically: Chinese Fire Drill but with Firefly fanbois involved.
I can't blame Whedon for being irked at that.

Of course he won't give out the license to Firefly!
If he does then Joss will never get to realize his dream of introducing a (mostly) good Reaver that falls for River and protects her from bad Reavers until he gets tired of their constant unconsummated love and heads off to the Planet of Angels or PA to become a private detective.
If Nathan was in charge, it would probably become a character study of a group of people engaged in a quixotic crusade for values that the universe at large no longer holds.

Unfortunately, the one Jokaero picture in the GK Codex would indicate a single metal model at this point. Doing Jokaero in numbers may be a very expensive effort with lots of time-consuming converting.

I hope the FAGK are worth taking in the new codex. It'd be great to magnetize the backpacks so you can switch back and forth.
Edit: And I'm not sure if anyone answered one of my questions (thanks for getting one of them, though!). What is, if anyone can tell me, the max unit size for the PAGK?
