I like the second version of the staff, as well. These are some terrific Marines.

All these marines look great and I would put my vote on the second version of the staff cause it looks much cooler.

The psychic hood was made from a Space Marine shoulder pad.

I think I've found a suitable head for him, one of the Space Wolves heads.

What do you think?

Personally, I like big force swords and bald heads for Librarians. Especially if those heads are screaming.

I've started on the Librarian's buddy/familiar/wound counter. Very WIP.

I plan to make a similar one for the Chaplain but with a censor on the top of the staff thing instead.

The Space Wolf head looks pretty good. I think you need to make/find some wires to attatch the Psychic Hood to his brain. I also like the concept for the Familiar. Very nice.

If I can get a hold of some guitar wire, I plan to attach his head to the hood and have cables from the sides of the hood going into the robes at about waist level. I don't have any though so I may need to find a music store.

I've done some more work on both models so I'll post them up when the gs dries.

A bit more done on the familiar guy.

I need to fix the robes a bit and then he's done.

I did a fair bit more for the librarian, well a bit more anyway.

I know It's a bit late at this point, but I think the grey bases are best; The brown DOES compliment your color scheme very nicely, but what you need on your bases in a CONTRASTING color to differentiate your model's vertical axis from it's horizontal and help focus the eye on the model itself.

Nice work on the Librarian.

While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Got some work done on the Command squad for the Chaplain.

First up is the Apothecary, but I can't choose which head I like best, but am leaning towards the helmeted one.

I'll post the other members of the squad as they get built. Up next, probably the Sacred Standard Bearer.

I got off work early today so I decided to build the Command Squad. Here is what I've come up with:

A bit of an update for today. I finished another Assault Marine. I think this one will be the leader of the squad.

I have an army shot now that everything I have is built. I'm still missing 3 assault marines and a chaplain but other than that, everything's built to where I can paint it.

Thanks Symbio Joe .

All but one model remains to be built now, the Chaplain, who I'll build when he arrives.

Here's the finished Assault Squad, minus jump packs.

Great Army, really like the vets.
This may be a stupid question, where did you get those helmets from?

They are Chaos Space Marine helmets. There's one that comes in the box, and another with bionics that's on the Vehicle Accessory sprue.

I've got some work done of the Librarian's familiar:

I need to clean up the black a bit more and add 1 more highlight to the yellow, then it's time to start painting the staff thing, which'll probably be lots of browns.

Did some work on the staff

The spiralling isn't as good up top as below the hand I think as the symbol was getting in the way. I think it'll look good from 3 feet away though and it's already glued in place so I don't want to change much of it. I'll probably add a bottom piece to the staff, maybe counter balance the top, kinda or something.

I've finally managed to finish the librarian. I decided not to add cabling to the hood as I couldn't find anything to use and figured it wouldnt' really matter.

Here are the pics:

I hope to start painting him this weekend or early next week.

A bit of threadomancy, but by the creator, and with some new progress, so I guess that's okay, isn't it?

In either case, I have been diligently cutting away one of the Sternguard that I bought today to get the legs for the Chapter Master of the Angels of Vigilance. He doesn't look like much now, but hopefully will look better once he's finished.

Here's what I have so far:

I'm stuck on giving him a tabard/loin cloth as I can't seem to find a good one to add that doesn't get in the way too much and my gs fu isn't that great. If anyone can give me ideas, I'd appreciate it.

More to come,

What's the helmet from? It looks very Star Wars Stormtrooper-y!
