47 hours roughly, for a friend's sleep deprevation test. The idea was stay up 48 hours, no caffeine and minimal food, then simple cognitive and reaction tests. We scored relitivly well.

If an essay or a paper is due and I haven't put the work into it I can easily pull out 39-40 hours repeatedly. I have a fond, if painful memory of every single sunday for 5 weeks being like this as each separate paper that was a section of a larger paper was put off until the last minute. Funnier still each one increased in length as time went on. Starting at five pages for the first paper, and having the last one end at twelve. This is seventh grade here so for me that is impressive. Mine ended up being total longest in the class at 50 pages, done in five nights and about 3 total hours of editing.

Also have a funny, if creepy story regarding my brother. Now he used to go to Carnegie Mellon University which is one of those colleges known for having science and engineering programs that rival death camps in terms of stress. He spent one night studying for a test, an all nighter. In order to enhance the studying process he takes and entire packet of no doze tablets washed down with jolt. He takes the test, good grade, and spends the rest of the day twitching uncontrollably and phasing in and out of reality. Later in life he tells me "never try to take more then ten no doze tablets in one night, it will #%$^ you up." Good advice.

Best I can do is stay up for about 24 - 30 hours. my friend and I tried to go for 3 days without sleep at one point (cuz we heard that 72 hours without sleep, ur considered clinically insane).
We were out by the end of the first day...

Two all nighters but it was a hell of a struggle and my conversations consisted more of moans and groans then anything at all.

We were pulling 12 hour shifts followed by all night excursions to these bars and we had all already been up for 30 hrs when somebody made the challenge of who could go the longest with out rest. There were anout a dozen of us.

I came in third with over 5 days(126-ish) hours

Jerry ****(a Sr Airman) finished 2nd with 6 1/2 days

Our Sgt(A Vietnam Vet) finished in first place with 7 days.

Woke up 7a.m. for work on a Friday.
Finished work and went out to the pub.
After the pub went out clubbing until 3 in the morning.
Had a flight to Japan Saturday morning so didn't go to sleep.
Got to the airport at 7a.m (24hrs awake). Our friend already out there told us not to sleep on the plane to make it easier to adjust to the time difference.
After the flight, landed in Japan about 8a.m. Monday morning. Stayed awake until 11p.m.
Had been awake about 50 hours at this point. Fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow.

We did a competition at work where we entered a fictional business plan and had to go to a 3 day event about 5 hours drive away. The first night there I got about 6 hours maybe, but the second night I barely got 2. We worked flat out the whole time and that's mentally tiring rather than physical and I didn't get home until past midnight. I recall lying down in bed trying to sleep because I was worn out, but my mind was buzzing with information and all the other crap I'm spent 3 days trying to cram and memorise so I couldn't turn off. When I did though I slept for ages and felt tired for days anyway. I certainly couldn't last 72 hours straight though.

172 hours... a full week of combat exercises where us, "senior" personnel were required to remain awake for the entire duration of the exercise in order to test our abilities to test under extreme stress and conditions... I got back, cleared my kit inspection and ammo dec. and didn't even make it out of the base... passed out in the barrack parking lot. lol, woke up 6 hours later to a commissionaire wondering why I was sleeping in my car.

When Final Fantasy 12 came out on PS2 I had a whole years worth of holiday left to take at work (2 weeks) and only a month left to use them. Although I had a few small naps I pretty much spent the entire first week playing the game. I think the longest between naps was between 50 and 60 hours. I'd clocked up 200+ hours by the time I went back to work.

77 hours. Went winter camping, and the temp unexpectedly dropped about 15 degrees lower than forecast. It was too cold to sleep. Sayed up all weekend by the fire. I was hallucinating on the way home. Due to being on rotating shift I routinely see 24-30 hour days though.... Like once every 8-10 days.

I see 24-36 hours on a fairly regular basis, once or twice every couple of months. Sometimes I just have higher priority things on my plate Saturday night than sleeping.

Once in high school I managed just a bit over 72 hours (74,75?) before my body forced the issue and I passed out. It was one of the strangest feelings I've ever had in my life.
