Damn, that was so obvious. Leave the front of the upper part of the egg and insert a termihead. *Smacks forehead*

Although I do think you should have shortened the blade, and maybe made the gun a bit smaller in some way.

Steelmage, I am loving that grey knight!!

I also thought of leaving the front shoulder pad / visor off, but I think it makes the dimensions look a little odd... still a good idea, though

maybe if you put 2 bolt pistols together to make the mini-termi's stormbolter it wouldnt look so big.

I swore i'd never do marines when i recently restarted this hobby. Now i'm really really tempted to make a kill team of those lil guys lol. using the terminator method how do tactical marines look? i'm thinking cult marine heads instead of the "face" of the egg

Once more down to the beach, dear friends, once more,
To drown our sorrows with our English beer!
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of alcohol blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.

Fluff!!!
The tiny marines:
The tiny marines come from a mutated geneseed that only produced babies. While their bodies stayed as infants, their mentality matured as normal. This was seen as an oppertunity to have stealthy, small troops to go behind enemy lines, but how? It would have been too costly to fit power armor , so a brain storming session was formed (by bribing everyone with cookies) and the idea came up that the shoulder pads from power armor could be used to make a protective shell, and thus Egg armor MK1 was created. With bionic limb enhancments so they could actually move and hold their weapons.

Nice job, MM . Did you consider tilting the shoulder pad up and keeping more of the arm intact? Or is having the disembodied hand the only practical way to go? All but one of the conversions have gone the "disembodied" route, and the one that didn't had zoomed out pics so I couldn't see if it was feasible.

The arms will definitely have to be cut down... I'm just wondering if there's any way they could lead "into" the shoulder pad, rather than be attached to it.

Is it possible to tilt the bottom of shoulder pad up/forward, to make more room for a possible arm?

You know, I looked at it... and I just prefer the disembodied hands. I mean, really, the thing is nothing but pure comedy, and there's a certain comedic aspect with disembodied floating hands. Same thing for legless "feet" that you can't see from behind (since the shoulder pad/foot is hollow). I just take it as part of the charisma of the model.

Personally, I LOVED the armored grot earlier, but I wouldn't cover the open spaces (feet/arms) on ANY if the chibi-marines, if it was me. I just take it to be part of the model.

@ Grey Knight:
Spectacular. Love it.

@Terminator
Seriously cool.
Could it have been done with terminator pads, filed/trimmed as necessary, so that it was appropriately larger?
Also, I LIKE that the weapons were full sized.

Requests... I'd like to see the following chibis, if anyone's up to it:
Marneus Calgar
Librarian
Abbaddon
Maybe Kharne ? I almost made a Khorne helmet on my chibi, but I was in too much of a hurry. (extra points if you manage to work in the real Kharne head)
Typhus
Techmarine

Love this thread, guys!

Must...do...this...

A lot of Bitz websites sell the few pieces needed for cheap, so I am thinking I might.

Wonder what these would look like as Assault Marines...

On a side note, this might make for a cheap Kill Team option, hehe. Just beg for spare Shoulder Pads from my friends and scrounge up bits to make a Tac Squads worth.
