DEATH KORPS OF KRIEG!!!!

Tbh the original metal Catachan's were one of my faves, after that Steel legion then the Praetorians.
the new cadians are way better then the original metals but the plastic Catachans? i mean wow whoever made them should be shot.

Death Korps of Krieg is the best.

I llike ice warriors but not Vostroyan ice warriors as they look ridiculous if you ask me. So, it's gotta be Elysian.

Just based on the models have to go with Death Korps and Elysians. Forge World makes cool stuff.

I must say that I have quite a soft spot for most of the Imperial Guard regiments but I voted for DKOK as the range of models is just fantastic! Elysians and Vostroyans are tied second for me with the Steel Legion coming in third. Surpisingly the Guard army I have done is the Cadians, probably due to it being cheaper to do, though I have also bought all the models for a Vostroyan army as well. Just taking a break from the Cadians at the mo with a marine army!

Attilans. Hairy Mongol horsemen who smell bad. Whats not to like about them?

1. Cadians - LOVE THEIR FLUFF, I do hate the spare LRMBT tank commander head though, the one with the officers cap

2. Mordians - My dad was a US Marine and I always wanted to paint some like that for him for his b-day
-I did and he thought it was awesome, he has them on top of his work bench in the shop

Armageddon Steel Legion and Death Korps of Kreig. Undecided

Tallarn Desert Raiders all the way (since I got my first box back in '98). I just wish they had a few more models in the range... a flamer would be great, as well as a standard bearer, another officer, maybe a medic or comms guy... wishful thinking more than a decade on!

You've got to love the old metal Guard... They've got so much more character than the cheesy new plastic infantry, including the metal Catachans and Cadians (although the command sprues are pretty good in my opinion).

Vostrayans for me. I personally put Elysians at the bottom of the list - those models do nothing for me.

I voted for the Death Korps of Krieg, because they look so BAMF! and I dont even play I.G.!

While I like the DKoK, my favorite IG force isn't actually technically IG - An army of Necromunda gangs FTW

Elysians are my favorite.
Shortly followed by the Steel Legion.

DKoK are kind of the greatest models made by FW or GW. I would have never started guard otherwise.

Elysians wouold be second though.

Cadians are awesome. They look great. However I have seen a catachan with a cadian chest, that would look alright.

It was hard between the Kriegs and Tanith. But then again Gaunt's Ghost and Tanith First and Only, all the way!

DKoK, Elysians, and Catachans. My wallet is still in therapy from the purchases of the first two.

Gotta hand it to the Steel legion; those guys are outstanding and i wish they weren't left out of the plastics.
Still hope putting Yarrick in finecost was a hint that Steel Legion would be marching up to fill the role of the good uniform army. Lord knows cadia can't do that.

Don't know why they chose cadians and catachans for it but it sucks they chose dull & rambo clones for the guard regiments. I like Catachans but i don't think i could paint them proper. Steel legion i can paint; i don't need to detail any faces yet they still have more character than the Cadians.

I really like the Elysian trooper models from FW. I enjoy the fluff too - the only thing I don't like is that they have no tanks - or anything heavier than a Sentinel for crying out loud. So I'm scratchbuilding an airmobile tank to accompany Valkyrie-dropped squads. (If you want to see the WIP, check the link in my sig hint hint nudge nudge)

Elysians have to be the bravest Guardsmen around - jumping into the 41st Millennium with nothing more than a grav-chute, their trusty lasgun, the Emperor's blessing and their standard-issue balls of steel.
