I hoping that the worst we'll get is them winning against impossible odds rather than complete fluff annihilation like here.

I think his rules aren't too horrible, could be better, but man the fluff...IMO Phil Kelley should be writing most of the codexes.

Necron Lords can speak. It is possible that immortals might be able to as well.

The latest Necron book, the Fall of Damnos, has UM vs Necrons. The Ultras get crushed.

Well dam that writer just screwed up the GK fluff beyond any reasonable recovery.

just incase it hasn't been covered the sword always returns since its pure warpstuff and technically a daemon right so no matter how many times it gets lost or broken it comes back?

and asfar as i know didn't they kill the SoB so they could go through the warp inferno without losing any battle brothers to taint or mutation?

For those that are really this pissed off about Ward and what he has/hasn't done regarding the Fluff, I highly suggest you contact GW directly. Letters, and faxes have a way of making it to the leadership of these corporations.

Meaning, you want this guy fired? Say something, nothing will change if people don't speak up. Enough angry fans worries the fat guys on top, and their shareholders.

Backlash from War I'd see coming is something along the lines of "Well this is Grimdark... it happens, we'll kiddie it up for you next time around" so if you do write a letter or send a email, be more descriptive then "This sucks and Ward is the devil" state what you don't like, why grimdark =/= misogynistic crap that completely negates the fluff spewed out of his back end.

Very little bothers me in literature or film, I think this goes for most of us with how desensitized we all are thanks to the internet. But being "edgy" just to do it is fracking slowed. And then when it's poorly executed and trashy on top of it....

Hmm maybe I should get the GK codex just for the fun of it, and maybe feel better about some of my BA fluff. With all this talk about it, its kinda like when ther's an accident... you dont want to look but you HAVE TO.

As others have pointed out, there, is no reason to believe Necrons can't speak, at least some of them. As for the blue and gold armor, the cron on the front of the current codex has blue and gold in his armor...perhaps they knew what was coming?

Why, is there ANY necessity for Matt Ward to write this kind of stuff? I mean, anyone who has read the codex prior (See C: Daemonhunters) KNOWS that the GK are the ultimate Badasses of the 40K Universe. However, turning them insane, having them murder loyal followers of the Emperor, and then bathe in their blood, is beyond what most of those who read the Daemonhunter's codex can tolerate.

While I dislike this piece of fluff, I'd like to hear your reasoning on how it is misogynistic. Nothing I've heard about it suggests it had anything to do with their gender.

Would it be possible for anyone to directly quote some of the fluff pieces? That might help clear up any misunderstanding.
