nah a plastic banner is better i will use the metal banner as a banner for the knight titan (which isn't a titan but everybody calls it a titan)

oh nice idea to use this mnini that way... but yep i see that this might be a topheavy conversion... and i think dave is right on the money here...some washers might help too ot some heavy and smallish stones as a basing? maybe both?

my basing will be textured wallpaper. i will paint it black with a grey dry brush and ice blue bolts on the floor. more on this tomorrow

I'll try to scan a pic from an old white dwarf. There was an article about deamon worlds where they showed it.

I have looked everywhere for the fabled WD textured wallpaper, they used it a lot in the Mordheim studio Terrain. I have determined that it just isnt sold in the US.

it's in the UK edition WD313 (January 2006) on page 70.

Well painting slowed down as i have to turn in my internship assignments next week. I did try your advise on using deheb stone as a base color Vik and it works like a dream. maybe i can afford a few pic's this weekend of the standard bearer, vendetta and leman russ

*big grin* yeah... came up with that idea after apling endless coats of white over black by myself... it really bring the work on a faster course...

it determinds when i have my exams. if i do horribly i end up having my exams this year. if it's good i can have my exams over 2 years.

In holland we have this systems of levels sort of speak.
level 0 is no education (so you end up in a factory most of the time doing dumb work)
level 1 is a basic very practicle education
level 2 is just a nick above level 1
level 3 is independent work but you don't get management skills
level 4 is management kind of work

my eduction is towards animal care and i am doing a level 4 education so i can start up my own : petting zoo, pet shop or something in the line of animal care.

I hope this makes some sense

yeah... i think so ... here i think in essence it is the same too... if you don´t have a paper saying you are capable of doing something then you are basically not able to work in that line of work... other countries have a different aproach on that matter... training on the job and all... sometimes i think the other way sounds better...well...

so i start better to cross my fingers then... after all being a student for more two years sounds quite the bargain...^^

ok, THAT textured wallpaper, yes, you can get that stuff in those sample books of wallpaper. I was referring to the brick-like/cobblestone pattern of textured wallpaper they used in the Mordheim Studio Terrain. My bad. That stuff looks pretty cool all painted up.

at fatty... well i only begun back in the days of 2000 my studies to not have to go to work... i know pretty lame of me back then... but i worked before as a retailer in a supermarket... what a horrible way to make his earnings... to my stupidity i studied business administration... gosh was i dumb to do that... completed it but i am unemployed ever since... it was the wrong stuff to study... now i try to become a nursery nurse... quite the development, eh?

nope... do you know a kindergarten? or possibly in a school... to assist the teacher... classes are always betting bigger so now each class gets a "helper" an "erzieher"... german i am afraid... there isn´t an english word that describeds the function quite good enough...

yeah i know that we cal them onderwijs assistent in dutch and the direct translation would be assistant teachers.

well the job can either be done in a kindergarten or a school...depends on ones taste and of course the possible vacant jobs...but basically the same training...

i tried to paint in the lightning but my textured wall paper is some what different from the one they used in the WD. even without the lightning i think it is pretty neat if i may say so.

the checkers loos very good... the standardbearer i really like but i just had to lol as i saw that HW team... that joker is a blast^^

as for the psyker... there is little to be aid as theree is little to be seen^^

the wallpaper basing looks pretty sound as is seen but i have to ask what kind of terrainit should stand for? ash waste or what?

the bases represent a ash waste or some dark sand like alien stuff.
and about the joker yeah he was more fun as his partner (IGOR) looks very angry/stern and is more a brute while the joker points (literally) to the targets

well... heavy weapon temas are the smallest dio one could imagine... something i really like doing... so it was a good choice making the joker the spoter...wouldn´t have worked to give him a gun i think...

as for the heavy gunner joker... try to use a big shoota of an ork for that... i think that could look amazing!

you might be on to something Vik will try that as i have a lot of big shoota´s from my orks left

well as i am drawn into the steampunk side of 40k i have come to apreciate the archaic look of the more british looking big shootas of orky origin... they are very cool looking... also i recommend for your troops to use shootas whenever you can... they have the right feel for a little underdeveloped army...could very well be the thing for your army...also if all else fails you could always declare your army more based with autohuns than lasrifles as they are technological a bit behind the times...

he that can help me alot as i have a lot of shoota´s (i went for ccw and pistol´s on my orks) and i needed to look at some bits sites for las riffles or buy box sets which i will only use for the rifles. will make a scetch model tommorow but how can i eexplain the plasma weapons and melta weapons?
