I've seen a bunch of your Ork conversions in the gallery...surprised to learn they all belong to one person! Big props for putting so much personality into every one of your models, and great work on your painting as well. I'd love to get a game against such a characterful force, but I imagine I'd slow things down by stopping to stare (and laugh) at each and every model.

Sweet jumping Jesus, I did that?!

Of course I did! why? Because MrMerlin has been a great supporter of my own project blog since Day 1! ( And he won the give-away I did for christmas!)

And now YOU can partake in the awesomeness that is my blog by clicking the link in my signature!

Why wait? Head over there NOW before anything happens to me-AAARGH!-

Do you see how fast everything can become to late? And not to worry, the stab wound I got just now was only a shallow one; I will be fine. For now.

So what are you waiting for, visit now! Weekly updates with either fluff or pictures or both!

How's that for a shameless advert?

But seriously , I am so glad that it arrived safely. And I must ask of you, since you are a much better photographer than me, please give him ( at least the Luggage) the photographic attention he ( it) deserves.
's all I ask.

as I aid, no orky updates soon, but I might get ome fluff done

UPDATE!

The battle report, as promised:

Lets start with the lists:

Sir Calvins Eldar:

HQ

- Avatar (proxied with my Killa Kan) 155

- Farseer with fortune 85

TROOPS

- 10 Guardians with missile launcher and Warlock with conceal 130

- 10 Guardians with scatter laser 95

- DA with dual catapults on the exarch and BS

HEAVY SUPPORT

- Night Spinner

- 3 Warwalkers, 3 Shuriken Cannon and 3 SLs

- Wraithlord with shuriken cannon

~1000

MY ORKS

HQ

- Kff Mek 85

ELITES

- 10 Burnas 150

- 9 lootas 135

- 9 Komanndoz wth Snikrot, a bs and a burna 195

TROOPS

- 20 shoota boys with pk/bp nob and two bs

- Deff dred with 2 scorchas

HEAVY SUPPOORT

- Battlewagon (my trukk) with rolla, red paint, ap, one bs

THE BATTLE

Thats the battlefield:

Mission - Capture an controll

Deployment - Spearpoint

Eldar go first

Setup:

My brother set up his army like this. The Kan is the Avatar, ans the walker are in reserve:

My Orks came up with this: Mek and burnas in the wagon, Deff dred withing 6" of the wagon (for the 4+ kff save) and the looas went on the hill in the back. Komanndoz are in reserve.

TURN ONE

Eldar turn one:
No movement exept for the WL, he advances 6"
Nightspinner and Guardian EML manage to kill 5 Boyz

"NOOOOO!"

Ork turn one:
Dred and Wagon race forward, the boys are trapped in the night spinners web. They only manage to roll a 2 for dt, and 2 of them die (incl one with a big shoota )
The lootas of course stay where they are.

Ork shooting didnt hurt the Eldar a lot; the lootas managed to shoot a wound off the Avatar, and the bs left in the boys mob mows down a Guardian

TURN TWO

Eldar:

Well, nothing really happened here..... he moved his WL towards my orks and shot everything he had at them...... failintg to kill a single one!

Orks:

Not having taken any damage in the Eldar phase, they now advance further unmolested

End of Ork movement:

The wagon rams the WL and the Burnas get out of it (yes, bending the rules a little.....), while the dred runs 5" forward
The WL suffers 5 hits from the rolla, all of wich wound, BUT HE SAVES THEM ALL! ARGH!

The lootas shoot the main gun off the night spinner (YES!) and the burnas fry all of Calvins nicely painted guardians. (YES!). Only the warlock survives.....

end of ork turn:

TURN THREE

Eldar:

the warwalkers appear behind the lootas. (yes, proxys are cool -_- that killa kan there will be finihed as soon as I'm done with my entry for the painting challenge....)

The lone warlock moves towards the deff dred.

shooting:
the guardians with the scatter laser manage to kill 4 burnas, and the lootas suffer three casualities to the walkers. then my brother remembers the two flamers on his WL and fething BURNS ALL MY BURNAS! NOOO!
end of eldar shooting:

the warlock and the avatar then assault my deff dred. the witchblage strikes with deadly S9, BLOWING THE DRED UP! ("noooooo!" again!). But in return, the explosion kills the warlock (hehe....)

Ork turn three:

Snikrot stays in the bushes, and the battlewagon deffrolls a guardian and two DA (hehe):

that orange thingy is his objective

the lootas manage to shoot one of the walkers:

the boys assault the avatar and the Wraithlord, and 4 get killed before the nob shoves his power klak up the WLs arse. Yes, 4 attacs take off three wounds :

the nob on his prey:

Turn 4:

Eldar:
the night spinner rams the battle wagons rear and the big shoota falls off:

the warwalkers manage to soot only one loota with all their heavy weapons, and the avatar avenges the dead WL and wipes out the poor boys mob :(
now i cant run back and claim my own objective /the looa-hill)
the farseer fails to damage the wagon with his wb....

Orks:

Snikrot arrives :

the wagon kills 4 DA with the deffrolla:

the lootas manage to kill a second walkers, and the kommandoz wipe thefloor with the other guardian quad and the farseer, only losing one ork in the process

TURN FIVE

Eldar:
the night spinner tankshocks the komanndoz and they roll a double 6 - NOOOOO! they flee:

there goes my chance to contest the objective.....

the last walker shoots another looota, and charges the rest....

The avatar charges the battlewagon. It blows up

Orks:

the mek, who didnt get pinned by his exploding ride, waits for the fleeing kommandoz to shoot at the DA before he charges. Bad luck makes te komanndoz miss EVERYTHING, so no DA die, and the mek only manages to get himself killed, after only killing one foe in return....

we roll a 4, so the game ends......

I lost

But it was fun anyway!

Hope you liked the report!

Greetings

Me:

london (all of it)

This is real wargaming, playing on the floor with models that ar'nt what they really are making units, ahhh .
I am so sick of seeing these battle reports where the photos are photoshoped and there's all this cinematic crap floating around. This was very refreshing and really quite good, really liked the truck in action. hope this is the first of more to come

I guess I'll do more of these, on the rare occasion that my brother or the guy with the demons fancy a battle......
or if I get to sweden this year, I'll be able to battle rep a conflict with some nicely painted BTs, from the guy who got me into wargaming.....

Great battle rep Enjoyed it. I like the 'old-school' playing-on-the-floor as well hehe. Reminds me of what it used to be.

I use Snikrot as well now. Tag on a warboss and you got some surprise-power. Also I prefer 2x burnas, but I guess that depends on what you are up against.

Thanks Haraldus.
I guess it'd be hard for me to field a painted army. I try to make every model look as good as possible (wich i didnt do with the first 30 boys, argh), so it takes ages to get something painted

In bigger games I also tag on a warboss, but at a thousand pts I thought the 10 boys were enough.
I'm planning to build a biker boss, and use him along with snikrot. That'd rock!
