Iv been watching some of the WvW videos, those maps are quite large.

Engineers can only use Rifles, Pistols, or Shields.

All those blades are just concept art most likely.

All photos in the second spoiler are engineer only kits whereas the first is just a load of steampunk weapon skins and as karon said the engineer can only use the rifle, pistols and shield.

Do bear in mind the engineer is one of the more complicated classes and has a pretty high learning curve, also I'll be running engy

My first char will likely be my rifle based warrior sylvari.

Once I get my head around how necros work, I'll probably end up deciding to be a Norn Necromancer with a Vrykul name.

Mn, my necro is gonna be a human.

Basically like this, in order of creation:

1: Sylvari Warrior w/Rifle focus, greatsword as backup weapon.
2: Norn Engineer w/Rifle focus, rifle turret
3: Human Necromancer w/Twin daggers and Axe/Focus sets.
4: Charr Elementalist w/Twin Daggers or staff.

Necromancers are one of the more forgiving classes, the main skill in using them lies in knowing when to activate your death shroud and/or elite form.

I like playing around with the dead and life forces.

I play Vlad in LoL for example...

What I think people should do is just throw themselves at a class they like the idea of, if it isn't for them when they try it then try something else.

Don't think "oh that class is too complicated or hard".

Always been my plan to be fair, necro or elementalist are the ones I like the look of the most, considering in almost all other mmo/rpgs I've played I go a full healer first.

Urge to make a Steampunk Warrior, Rising!

I'm debating between a Charr Engineer or Warrior. I really like the technology and firearms aspect of GW2, but I don't think I want to be restricted to just Guns/Pistols.

I'm almost positive I'll be making a Charr Warrior with a Rifle/Greatsword focus, and then a Norn Engineer with Double Revolvers - kind of playing on the Iron Priest idea of the Space Wolves.

I do know that. I think I'll be triple-maining.

Anyone else notice that the Flamer Unit has a Gas Hose on it? I don't know, I just find that funny.

And no, I must resist, and keep myself as a Human/Sylvari Mesmer.

Noticed that too. Think it plugs into the flamethrower.

So, now my mains are going to be my Charr warrior and necro, and my Slyvari Engi. Should be fun.

Definitely trying out the engi as well, though I might end up drifting back to my ele when the actual game is released.

At least when I played WoW I liked it due to the quirky gadgets adding some fun... Well after all the grinding for it at least.

Forget that, mortars and flamethrowers, man.

Goggles are cool though.

Don't forget being able to shoot glue from a pistol! Engineers rock

That said we probably will need other classes A guild with 100 engineers and 20 assorted other classes is probably a bit gimped.

But, but science. We'd be able to have a guild that can act extremely snobby to magic users and those barbarians with the clubs.

Meh, I'm going pistol/shield mostly, so no glue shot for me.

I'll make up for it by shooting people in the face with my warr's rifle.

Mainhand pistol still has explosive rounds, poisonous rounds and electrical rounds!

When you die, you are mine.

All of the gadgets I mentioned are skills not items so there would be no way for you to acquire them from me

Mwahaha.

Damn I cannot wait for this game. I will likely be a Human necromancer or a human Guardian. And yes, Most def in the dakka guild
