I'm pretty sure they are plastic.

Another email update:

So.... the really cool cats at Penny Arcade agreed to let us make a special version of one of their iconic characters. We present to you....

From the shrouded mists of ancient feudal Japan emerges the Cardboard Tube Samurai, itching to test his legendary weapon and skills against the undead hordes. Will the hero fall to a foe that is as implacable as he?

This is the official Penny Arcade Cardboard Tube Samurai: Zombicide edition, and his counterpart, the Zombie Cardboard Tube Samurai. If we hit this stretch, everyone who pledges Abomination and above ($100) will receive a both versions for each boxed game! Ships together with the Zombie Promo Survivors (est Q2 2013).

The Samurai and his Zombie self will also be available at future PAX events. So you know, no pressure.

Here's the concept that will go for sculpting if we hit our goal!

As i dont know what this is, i couldnt care less tbh.

I have been seriously thinking about dropping the $100 for this game for the past 2 days, and I think the inclusion of the Chuck figure might make me finally do it...

Thats how Kickstarter works, no charges until the campaign is done with.

And then three weeks until the campaign creator gets funds -.-

It's already at $379,7333 so $450K doesn't seem like an impossible goal.

Besides, the Penny Arcade audience is vast and powerful. I think they will make the Cardboard Tube Samurai goal a reality.

He originated in a very old (2003!) Penny Arcade comic

And later on became an "actual" samurai

So will 190 get me all the extras?

any close ups of the painted minis?

$190 can get Abomination $100 + Eva - $10 + Marvin - $10 + White dice set - $10 + Duplicate tile set - $20 + Battlefoam trays - $40

There are no painted pictures of the model to my knowledge. If I find some I sill post them.

Otherwise they would lose their asses on shipping. The consolodated shipping is why multiple copies are cheaper.

I'm happy to say that this is incorrect. We inquired and, so long as both addresses are in the US, they're happy to let multiple people piggy-back on one order and ship the games (and extras) to separate addresses.

It turns out that multiple copies are cheaper because, as stated earlier, the more copies they print, the cheaper their costs are per unit.

The only painted minis will be for the really high dollar donations, and those won't be done for a bit, i'd imagine.

$100 for the game plus all the free/included stretch goals

with the following being the extra stuff you have to pay for:

Optional stuff

Eva - $10

Marvin - $10

White dice set - $10

Glowing in the dark dice set - $15 (1 set included at Abomination)

Duplicate tile set - $20

Battlefoam trays - $40

So... no, $190 will not get you everything they are offering, but some of it doesn't seem all that necessary!

If you skip the second set of glow in the dark dice it will. You get one set free with an abomination pledge.

As Eric pointed out earlier they are selling these at above retail and they are designed to be profitable when they sell them at wholesale. At 2122% of the original goal of funding we must have driven down the cost per unit a considerable amount for them. The difference between a 1 box pledge and a multiple box pledge is only a $10 difference. I don't think they are sweating the small stuff at this point.

People are already taking about a stretch goal beyond the 450K mark....

Be sure to pimp this game to all your online friends in the next 48 hours

140.00

Tiles, the other two.

then I have monies for travolta, and then some cash left over for hasslefree.

This game has potential.... I can see even using the mini's for other gaming.

that alone makes it worth the price. The gameplay is really interesting, as well.

We'll see....

Sky's the limit. I doubt they'll be able to come up with another stretch. But I've been happily proven wrong.

I just noticed that in their update for the stretch goal they added these:

• Ivy - $10
• Claudia - $10

To the optional stuff. There is currently nothing else about them, but looks like they already plan 2 more miniatures.

Yeah, I was expecting something really cool for $500,000 or above, not some additions to extras. (not really interested in getting either of them, too. Though I might have to get Marvin...)
