That being said I personally enjoy using Flash Gitz and they work well enough in my Blitz Brigade lists. They aren't exactly tankbusta good but they are a blast to play with nonetheless.
Considering just how much stuff is packed onto those Flash Gitz sprues, the box is absolutely reasonably priced - at least I think so, anyways. You could put together 5 boxes worth and never have the same guns twice.

I completely agree that their new kit is great, its just waaay to expensive for a unit that is sadly worse than it was last edition. I want my Ignores Cover back!!

I think Gitz merit purchases from customers simply for their utility to be used with/converted into other units. We will see the same thing with the new Orcs release. In this regard, they can sell *despite* having terrible rules- the value is sufficient. I've never seem them played as they unit intended, however.
The mek gunz is an example of a unit that has pretty decent rules but is so expensive in terms of dollars per points that I personally have not seen it used (only converted from other stuff).

I bought 2 kits of Flash Gitz and 2 kits of Mek Gunz. Just to have a full unit of Flash Gitz. And I, probably, will buy one more Mek Gun kit so I have a nice unit of 3 KMKs. They are expensive, but they are still gorgeous.

I bought two boxes of Flash Gitz, and that Badrukk box that had a further two boxes in there. I've already used the gun bits on other Orks to make unique conversions.
The sheer amount of variety, and the modular system where the guns are just 'frames' for all the bits, remains one of GW's best recent design decisions.

'Cause the kit is spectacular. Inspired, even.
Absolutely. They're also designed so you can swap with Nobz bits, which are relatively cheap/plentiful so it's easy to eke more models out of them.
Yup. One box of flashgits, bunch of nobz I had lying around(have still some unassembled nobz. Ridiculous number of those). Enter 10 flashgits
Albeit if you have to buy box of nobz it adds to price but especially if you buy used stuff you end up with ridiculous number of spare nobz bodies very easily.

Holy schmackerel. MORE ork flyers?
That is one zany looking plane. I shall hold myself off of it until I see the rules, but I think ol' Zoggin' Orxanne my lone blitza bommer may be getting a pal. Automatically Appended Next Post: So rampant speculation time (AKA lets make the rules for this thing the way that GW makes the rules for their stuff)
what does this appear to have?
Seems like an underslung Trakktor kannon, interesting because now we get to use our pseudo grav gun as an actual anti tank weapon (ground based version is stuck snap firing at non-skimmers)
Looks like it's got some sort of force field, maybe a native 5++
two one-use missiles on the wings?
The main gun (guns) seem to be Kustom Mega weaponry of some kind, maybe a medium strength large blast gets hot variant? that would fit with GWs philosophy of "no flyer is ever allowed to get a suite of weaponry that actually synergizes with itself"
and it looks like we have a gretchin tailgunner in the back. Twin-linked big shoota, or somehing else?
I'm praying for something different than the standard 10/10/10 profile, but I suspect we will not get it. And I suspect this thing will probably crack 200 points given how much stuff it's got on it.

Doesn't float my boat, personally, aesthetically or tactically.
BUT likelihood is that the boxed game might be fun... and will feature them at a good price, especially if you sell the other flyer to a Beaky player. The Imperial Knight game offered a huyge discount over the single models.

Second, irrespective of expectations of other kits, that is an awesome conversion sprue and I can't wait to see what else I can do with it.

Looks like you're right. There's another photo at faeit that give details (tellyport mega blasta, or anti-grav smasha gun) and what looks like a price of £42 (or maybe £40?) .

This is incredibly disappointing. I was really hoping they were going to redo the old Kannon/Lobba/Zzap gunz, and maybe give us a formation. Instead, we get more flyers. Does that model look kind of neat? Sure. Am I going to buy it? No.

Given we thought GW might address the super-expensive £££ cost of the Mek Guns, the news of a dakkaject with one extra sprue for £15 more isn't that thrilling!
The little grot gunner looks cute though. Even though they mug us, they can still come up with cute Grots...

Was not expecting a flyer.
Hope we get a formation that includes is, and hoping it's an elite choice not a fast or heavy. Or a way to include it in the Orkurian.
Curious looks like it has a kff, so that's a plus, our only kff are big meks and the morkanaught.
Waiting to see rules and point costs, but im.excited for it just by the look of it.. And I'm a big mek fan, so this looks like a winner to me.

Well it looks cool and Orky and it's going to come with a ton of bits by the looks of things. I think it's got the same crucial cone-shaped piece out of the Mek Gunz kit for its big gun. I guess if you were planning on getting a Dakka Jet and a Mek Gun (with a view to building multiple Mek Gunz) then this would be a slightly cheaper way to do it.
Looking forward to seeing what the boxed game is all about. Have there been any details posted?
