That would make total sense to GW: a formation that lets you take 20 mek gunz, and a special offer to let you buy 20 mek gunz kits for only 20 times the price of a single mek gun kit. Ah well, good news for scratch builders and converters anyway...

Give the Kommandos their damned tankbusta bombs back!
All figures ( GW and FW set) have plenty of them,
which is ridiculous regarding the actual list content for the entry!!

Yet the Carnifex Brood is still available in the UK?
Weird...I wonder if maybe they just wanted to cease selling individual Carnifexes and instead keep the Brood box around. Roundtree has said that while they won't lower their prices, they will instead try to "make more value in boxed sets".

Something like all the boyz have to take eavy armor and shootas but gain some awesome shooting bonus

I prefer Ork wishlisting to what you see in the CSM threads. By the Emperor those places are depressing

Maybe Orks get a new codex, maybe its just a supplement, maybe Orks are bundled together with CSMs, Sisters, Nids, Guard, Dark Eldar, and Blood Angles into codex "Gak we don't care about" that is a reprint of the most recent codexes with a few random wording changes to make things more confusing, nerfs, and have a formation for Space Marines that gives them rerolling invulnerable saves the turn they fire grav weapons. There just isn't any way to know which way GW is going to go these days.

While we're speculating, I concur that it's most likely a cheap'n'cheerful repackage of Mek Guns, perhaps with an upgrade sprue.
It's impossible to know but I've always thought that the high price of the Mek Guns did put people off - i've seen a lot of the Meganobz and evern Flash Gits around, but no Mek Guns apart from GW shop ones.
I think in the long run GW will take note of a drop in Ork sales and do something. They are such a key part of the image of 40k - it's surely for that reason that it's Orkz and Mareenz that will be in the Snap-together kits they're going to try and sell in regular toy stores.

Never in my life have I seen a Mek gun kit or flash gitz Kit besides the one I bought myself for the cute grot crew. One is too expensive, the other is too garbage. I'll bet someone at GW HQ is looking at the sales of the new flash gitz, gorkanauts and ogryn and going "what gives why arent these gorgeous recent kits selling? Stupid gamers, they must just have no taste in high quality miniatures."

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

Absolutely. They're also designed so you can swap with Nobz bits, which are relatively cheap/plentiful so it's easy to eke more models out of them.

Flash Gitz, when they first came out, weren't selling too hot speaking from the "from what I can see at my local shops". That's absolutely true--you'd see a few kits move here and there but rarely were they ever out of stock at a LGS.
When the Flash Gitz & Kaptain Badrukk+ the 'exclusive' Ammo Runts came out? That box kept going out of stock--despite it including a named character!
Same thing was seen with the Storm Boyz set.

The Gitz kit is incredibly beautiful but the price.... ugh. I made my 10 gitz out of 2 boxes of Nobz and my bitz box. For my eventual next 10 gitz I might try using a Nobz box and a Gitz box to give more parts variety.
That being said I personally enjoy using Flash Gitz and they work well enough in my Blitz Brigade lists. They aren't exactly tankbusta good but they are a blast to play with nonetheless.
